Was looking at batteries on ebay and seen a couple sellers offering 3200mah batteries. Has anyone tried these or have any experience with them? Are there any known battery makers that makes these for our phones?

Samsung is one of the best Lithium battery manufacturers on the planet. Finding a higher capacity cell that would fit the S6 is pretty much impossible and those 3200mah batteries are most likely fakes
Ya that's what I thought. I was just wondering if a legit company had made one. Like anker or zero lemon. Not really into the battery case thing
Just an an FYI: the last phones that had official extended battery support support was S2 and S3. ZeroLemon made one for S4 but the bulk added is just ridiculous. S5 is "waterproof" and that feature would go away with 3rd party or even official support and cause even more issues among the average joe's. The S6 back is sealed. So unless you can magically modify the whole frame to keep the support it adds and fit a larger battery while at the same time magically invent extra space for it you're unfortunately out of luck.
Maybe would be possible to use the 3200 mah battery and cover of the S6 active? That would be wonderful
Those batteries are fake. Never trust batteries from eBay. Your best solution is to buy a good battery case like the mophie, but it is a bit pricy.
I bought one and the battery was still terrible. I ended up selling the phone. Probably will wait to see what the s7 has to offer. The s4, s5 and s6 were disappointing phones.

For me battery on S6 is great, holds me all day, and if i really need i can plug in fast charge for 10-20 minutes that gives me 4-6 additional hours.

Fast charger is underated... When I had my Z2, battery would last longer but when it didn't I basically needed 4 hours to charge it again.
I remember needing my GPS for Google Maps to go to an scheduled event... I had to use my car charger all the time.
It was very annoying.
With the S6 in 25 minutes charging I already have a decent battery to use.
The only battery that does work and its 3000mAh is the galaxy S 6 edge + battery, its the same flex connector and width but not the same height as the oem one, so some modifications need to be made to the mid frame to make it fit, the galaxy s7 battery is also 3000mAh and has the same flex connector/height/width as the s6, so in theory it should also fit with 0 modification to the mid frame.

He stated same height and width so I am assuming the same dimensions. Might have to give this a go and order an OEM replacement s7 battery and take it in to get it swapped.

Any news?
PMed him and got no response as well. Does anyone actually have the measurements for the battery for both phones? From the pictures they look really similar with the s7 having a slightly longer cable. It also looks a bit thicker but I think the black bars just gives that illusion. Hell I'd swap it out and use it without the back cover if I had to.

Samsung said that the dimensions are very similar as the dimensions of the battery of our S6.
So i think we can do it.
But i think is better with the battery of s7 flat
Ok guys i finally was able to get an s7 battery, in the picture you can see the s7 battery on the left and the s6 on the right, the s7 battery is physicly smaller im very surprise by that being that its 3000mAh vs the s6 2550mAh, but it does fit, the only issue is that the s7 battery is about 1mm thicker..that could be a problem, il update with more pictures on monday with the battery on my s6.

Slim extended battery don't work well. Usually falsely advertised for their capacity. Can't get more capacity into a battery if you don't increase the real estate of the battery
IMO Anker are a great battery. And their CS is second to none :good:

From the past, NFC and kickstand has been done with other phone models, wireless charging might not be possible.
There might be a stand along wirless charging battery by anymode (samsung sister/partner company or a third party one), but this one has not been confirmed.
I never needed one for my S4, so I am guessing I will get by without a second on the S5. I do have a 7800 mah portable charger that we bring along on trips and events should anyone need to power up. Battery life has definitely improved since my Thunderbolt/ Galaxy Nexus days.

Not sure about Anker and other 3rd party batteries. Steve Litchfield did a test on several 3rd party batteries (inc. Anker) and they all don't hold as much charge as the original. You can get physically bigger ones but they don't appear to be as energy dense as the originals. Still for the price, they made sense as spare/back up batteries compared to originals.

That is what i meant. The Anker i had with my S4 wasn't as good as the original but not far off. So comparing Anker vs original it was probably better value pound for pound. You could probably get 2 Anker ones for the price of a Samsung.
I go with Seideo myself. They are quite expensive but the extended battery + Case/Clip combo works well. I started with them on my Palm Pre and have bought their stuff for every phone after that. Generally their cases and clips hold up well and the batter adds a few days worth of life. Your mileage may vary though.
I found this 5600mA extended battery here:

I previously used Batterybay battery. Fair performance but cheap price (relatively to Mugen)
I think I will give it a vote this time. Anyone here tried that before???

OR, just buy the stock battery that comes with the S5 or the battery/charger combo if you wanna keep it slim as stock. That's what I would do. The KINPS 4000mah battery for my Note 2 that I bought from Ebay was not any better than the stock 3100mah that came with it.

I think 200mAh more, if I believe http://mugen.co/samsung/samsung-gal...y-s4-mini-3g-samsung-galaxy-s4-mini-duos.html . They list it as 2000mAh.
OK I stand corrected then.
Hey guys, I ve tried it for you now, and also for me. It really seems like it matches perfectly!
check the attachments.
the only thing is that there is a gap on the left side which is about 2 or 3mm. this leads to prevent the circuit to touch the battery slot. but if i would cut the small "edge" of the battery, which is of course not a big thing, it would fit perfectly to touch the circuit as well. meaning without the gap on the left side.
the thickness is ok, no need to change back cover.
because i had borrowed the battery i wasnt allowed to cut somethings from it. i will look forward to get one.
only one question I have is, on s4 mini battery it is 7.22 Wh, while on ours it is 6.84 Wh. Do you think this difference would harm the mobile if the circuit would be connected accordingly?
thanks @Guiyoforward for the idea! im also getting interested to the mugen battery

Thanks! Quick question: does your s4 mini battery have 3 pins/connectors or 4? The ones i saw in europe had 4, but the ones I see here in south america have 3. My relay's has 4.
Thanks!
yes it is with 4 pins here.
do u think that difference in Wh would matter?
and the mugen battery or north american batteries also have 4 or 3 pins for the s4 mini?
WH hasn't effected my phone.

As long as the voltage is the same, I haven't had any real problems with extended batteries.
My Relay has survived though two EZO extended batteries. They eventually swell up as they are actually two original sized batteries taped together. Doubling the WH and mAH had warmed the phone up a bit while charging, but other than that it didn't create any problems. I can't suggest getting another EZO, but there are few options anymore.
I have ordered PolarCell 2100mAh battery, 8Wh, will get it on Tuesday. will report then
Hi all, I am new to the Relay. Actually my phone is still on the way.
I just wonder anyone got a trusted source to buy a genuine S4 Mini Battery?
I have been looking on Ebay but its too difficult to tell what is genuine what is a fake.
And I now reside in Hong Kong, s4 mini and relay are both not on sale officially here.
Thanks in advance.
I'm thinking about buying the ZeroLemon Samsung Galaxy S4 3000mAh Battery. Any opinions? I heard zerolemon was a pretty good company but I just wanted to confirm.
I bought mine about a month a go and I can definitely feel the difference in the duration of screen-on time. I went from like 4.5 hours to 5 hours roughly. More than worth the price.

Bought my pair a few months ago. I don't remember the last time I actually plugged my phone into a charger. I just swap the batteries from the phone to the wall charger. I usually get about 15 hours of decent use, about 3.5 hours of screen time, out of each. It's a great buy.

Does this battery add any bulk, size wise I mean, to the phone? I know the weight will probably be heaver but I had an extended battery for my old Photon 4G and had to go without a case on it because of the size of the battery. I don't want to have to do that but this battery looks promising from what I see.

They took nfc away so it can have a slightly higher battery capacity.
The battery very slightly bulges at the back. If you have a very very specific tight fitting case you will notice the slight inconsistancy. I had one that fit the Galaxy S4 specifically however once the battery was put in, it created a few mm gap.
I initially found the battery to add about 30 min extra however, it began to lose it capacity after a few months then became the same if not worse than the stock.
No NFC, bulge, same battery capacity wasn't worthwhile. I bought from bastexwireless and they were a pain to deal with so if you buy expect to make it a permanent purchase. I tired to contact zerolemon as well and they just gave me the runaround.

I would say the lifespan of holding its charge is pretty similar to the original samsung battery. Under heavy daily use, it would take abt 3 mths I reckon, for it to start losing its capacity bit by bit. It's just the way they are, so I would still get the zerolemon's since they are pretty cheap compared to samsung's. Over here where I live, the original samsung battery is only sold with the extra battery kit, and it costs abt 30usd. I alr got that so it would still be worthwhile for me to ship the zerolemon's over as I don't stay in the US.
Regarding bastex's customer service, I emailed them once regarding their poorly made wall charger. They responded pretty quickly and offered to send me a new one, as well as 2 new batteries since mine had alr bloated up due to months of heavy use. I guess the bloating issue pretty common. So maybe not all their staff provide quality support. [emoji41]
I just got mine this week. This is day 3 of using it. It seems to do a little better, but I'm still in the break-in phase of the battery. I like the extra weight, as it gives the phone a more substantial feel. It fits fine in my otterbox (defender series, I think). Haven't tested it in my seidio obex case yet. I used their battery with my Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and loved it. I expect good things with it.
I just ordered a single battery ($9.XX, with shipping). I didn't need the second battery, or that external battery charger.
Zerolemon's 7.5Ah batteries for Galaxy S4
Zerolemon's 7.5Ah batteries for Galaxy S4, I ordered 3 from e-bay with 2 chargers. The batteries are heavier than the phone and with case is more than twice as thick(deep) as original phone. Width and length are slightly larger too but not appreciably so. Big plus is am never tethered to wall and each battery will last 20+ hours of constant Internet use. Simply swap batteries after running it until <= 2%; one is typically always on charger. Phone with case/battery carries nicely in a LBT Holster.
The zerolemon wall charger is really low quality. It works (charges ur batt from zero to full in abt 4-5 hrs) for the first few weeks, and then takes longer and longer to charge.
Another alternative to never having to charge your phone on the wall is to get the official samsung extra battery kit. That charger is top notch. I got that and use it with my zerolemon's. So I don't need to deal with a huge bulky extended battery either.
It's a small bit bigger than the original battery. It makes putting on your battery cover a little bit more difficult, but not bad. I have a defender case and it makes it just a little tighter.

So far, my zero lemon 3000 mah battery isn't performing too great. I think I'm going to try and return it for another one to see if the ladder is better. I get about 4 hours of screen on time.

Samsung did do it with the Korean S2 though. They came out with an OEM extended battery that fit within the stock hardware. (I had the ATT S2 and was so mad bc the battery wouldn't work on US models due to an issue where the US phone would enter a boot loop while charging)

Other than that with heavey use after calibarting it for a whole day ,it lasts me about 3 - 4 hours (light) and or 2and a half to 3 hours when heavy. But definetly similair to the Galaxy S6 use for sure. Just wish it charged even faster and I'd be fine lol

I bought this one recently. The battery seems like it is close to 3200mah and not the advertised 5450mah. But NFC works and performance is similar to samsung battery.

I don't know if I have to do some tweaks in kernel to use the full mah capacity.
Hi guys
I was looking for replacement batteries for my Galaxy s5 active
I found the OEM, of course:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/112007844601
It has 2800 mAh
Then I found this one

A generic "Best4Power" that claim to have 5380mAh, 2580 more than the original, in the SAME battery size.
What do you guys think? could it be too good to be true?
It's fake. If you're lucky it MIGHT be 3500mAh.
Don't bother looking for batteries that claim to be higher capacity that are the same size as the original Samsung battery. Alternatively you could always have a second battery and charge it directly using a pug in battery charger. Or another option is try the mutagen batteries but be warned they can be pretty expensive.
I see, I ended up buying a couple of OEM batteries. Thanks guys, thread can be locked.
If you maximum battery, check with Zerolemond to see if your phone will be compatible with the S5 series. I have been using their extended battery in my S5 since last August and it is working just fine. My wife, who has the same S5 and standard battery, has had to replace her already. I have their battery on my S5 and S4 with a backup purchase if my S5 battery finally dies.
I replaced mine with an original one, maybe not very good autonomy but I'm satisfied
dude, theres no way the "OEM" one is real. 9ish dollars is too cheap. I've seen some pretty good looking fakes. But there are a few ways to spot the difference. depth of contacts, having an NFC antenna, having engraving when the cover is peeled off, size of the metal part (can only tell when the cover is peeled off), general external quality and details are a few quick ways to tell. Bought one last week that was not a bad looking fake. But still fake nontheless. Nervous about putting it in my phone so just got a refund.
Better buy it a original then fake crap thats what i did.
