I've been digging through the battery threads, and found the general consensus is the Anker or Chichitec batteries are good choices. However, I really don't need 2 batteries. I found a supposed original Samsung branded 1800mAh for $14.99 on ebay. I was leaning towards this, and then found a lot of excitement about a Polarcell battery from germany. I found it available on ebay as well. They are basically the same price but they each have similar risk. The Samsung battery could turn out to be a fake, but it is at least a stateside company to deal with. The other one is a pretty sure bet, but a few have had problems and it would be a pain to deal with a company on the other side of the world. Anyone here have first hand experience with either of these? I'd post links to them, but cannot due to thread count.
was it this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...369834?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item41668cadea
In which case I'd bet money on that being legit OEM
Not sure about that polarcell though, I haven't heard of of one of them before
No, but it's about the same price. It was from seller accessorytrend. I guess if the OEM ones are going for that cheap now, maybe i'll finally bite. I'm putting a new case on and don't want to hassle with swapping batteries all the time.
I ordered an OEM Samsung Epic 4G Touch battery from Amazon, should get here tomorrow, will post results when I get it.

Been looking everywhere for somewhere to replace or supply extra batteries for Chinese branded phones. Anyone know of any such places?
Ordered an Mpai n7100 from antelife.com (which only comes with 1 battery unfortunately) and have a feeling it may not last long.
So, I've been looking for the past hour for places that replace them. Any websites that have said they'll replace any battery seems to say "no we do not have that model" in their questions section. Or either from alibaba.com where the minimum order quantity is like 931843143123.
Anyway, would be really grateful if anyone could lend a hand. Searched the forums but only found references to replacement batteries for A-list phones. Lol.
Thanks in advance!

When I first saw the nexus 4 I was excited for the accessory possibilities. Since it is built in a similar manner as the Iphone 4/4s with glass on both sides and it was selling out everywhere I was sure the accessory manufacturers would jump on it. All I wanted since I first saw it for the iphone 4 was this bumper...

They even had one for last years arguably less popular gnex.. why aren't we seeing very many accessories for our phones?
There plenty just gotta search, if you want a high end pouch go on etsy, if you want a $10 mybat tuff hybrid case go on eBay,
Nexus 4 tandem
Also, do not forget that the iPhone 4/4s has been there for a while already (it is from June 2010), while the N4 has released just some months ago.
Yet, there are plenty of accesories, just google for them (or look here).

I live in Paris. You can get plenty of accessories from ebay, DX.com, etc in Europe.
I thought it was a question thread asking for accessories, now I see it was just to complain at Google. I really do not see the point for a thread like that.
Go ahead, buy an iPhone.

So you bought a phone that is basically a developers phone, for half of the price of any phone out there with buying and your pissed because said phone isn't selling accessories at stores that don't have the phone in the first place? The beauty of this device is the fact that it's the cutting edge of Google's software development. Google is making very little from the hardware and is not a accessory developer. Apple on the other hand is all of the above, hence 3 million different accessories for their super popular phone. Companies make accessories for popular phones, see galaxy s3, iPhone, and that's about it. Is the phone is sold by t mobile or three or who ever is selling it in the bricks and mortar stores, you should check there, but the swear off any Google products...I think they will be okay, but they will be wanting their free everything you are using back, and good luck with BlackBerry iPhone and Windows. I hope you see the humor in my comment and don't take it personally

There are a decent # of accessories but if you're expecting iPhone numbers then get an iPhone. They make millions of one phone, android is considerably more diverse.

The official bumper is in stock on the Play Store. We don't have the charging orb yet though.
There is no shortage of third party accessories on Amazon, eBay and other sites.

I haven't found one anywhere and doubt we'll see one for a while... I'm thinking about designing my own, buying a block of aluminum and taking it to the nearest maker club and milling it myself. If I do I will definitely post it here.

I tend to agree a little, to get the SlimPort cable to connect from N4 to TV is $50 minimum, if you want to charge your device while watching a movie then it's another $50 because Amazon don't ship to Australia for certain items - mainly electrical.
It sucks. I've honestly been turned off by Google since I've purchased my Nexus 4, from the debacle that was shipping times, to hardware problems with the phones and the support staff lying to me twice I was fed up with this experience.
Google didn't bother to pour millions into marketing the N4. (compare it to the iPhones and Galaxy Series) And, I'm ok with that. :good:
pissed me off really Speck declined the vote with over 1k3 votes but about to release a case for Galaxy S4. WTF?!? Incase has cases for galaxy s3, Incipio is making cases for HTC One and Nokia and the galaxy s3, Belkin is also on their way for Galaxy s4 cases. I MEAN WTF? sorry for my languages, but i've been looking for a good case so long.. even otterbox, decided not to make cases for our Nexus 4. SUPER PISSED!!!
sorry for my language guys..
Again, look how Samsung markets their Galaxy series opposed to the Nexus lineup; Basic supply and demand. :fingers-crossed:

There are plenty of other cases to choose from. If a company doesn't want to take your money that's fine, give it to a more deserving company.

Seems a bit of a trolling post, this.
Can't exactly see much of a shortage myself, what with the innovation of international shipping.
Since goods are generally cheaper in the States, you add a bit on for postage, and take a bit off due to the advantageous exchange rate, all in all it's a pretty good deal.
So I just ordered the (In my opinion.) three best accessories: official bumper, dbrand skin, and skinomi screen protector. I do love this phone and think that it will be protected well enough. I didn't start this thread to troll or imply that the iPhone is better. But damn those cheap Chinese aluminum bumpers are classy. I intended to start a conversation which accessory manufacturers might see, or somebody could point out some cool accessories that actually exist. (Which they did.) I think the arguments that the N4 is a development device and so manufacturers don't want to make accessories for it are invalid since the gnex had plenty of support from those awesome/cheap Chinese manufacturers, and more importantly, dbrand is making a killing on N4 skins. There is obviously a profitable market for N4 accessories.

I understand. But it'll come eventually. I remember there was almost nothing for the Nexus 7 mostly "Universal" fit items, generic looking TPU cases and crappy folios when it came out but now there's lots of options. Now that the supply issues are fixed for the N4 there are more items starting to come out. I think by the time I/O happens there'll be a variety of more options for the N4.
I know that this phone has just been released in the past few days, but I am surprised that there is not a single battery case available given that the manufacturers of accessories have had the phone long enough to make plenty of cases, screen protectors. Does anyone here know how long after the release of the G6 battery cases were released?
I've been looking for the past hour. Haven't found a single one. They made plenty of them for the g6 and the v30. So I'm sure they we'll see some soon. I'm hoping before December.
I want a battery case but not zero lemon.if they they slim it down a bit. I don't want another 4500mah. I'll take just an additional 2200mah. So it could remain slim. The zero lemon for my g6 is way too large and bulky. The phones got a large back so they could easily make one 2000-2500mah slender in design and with nice bumper edges. I hate the ones that are really stiff and possibly break easily

Update
Just got an email from Joey saying end of January to beginning of Feburary.
Is anyone familiar with this brand?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-V30-Bat...548769?hash=item1c9d9f5361:g:aoYAAOSwtKVaUynr
Seems expensive and I'm tempted to just wait for the Zerolemon case, but I do like the slim profile.

Be really careful with this kind of case. I know what they say, but I've had these third party knockoff cases before and either they don't do passthrough sync/charge or they get overheated or they just don't work well. The good thing is it's through amazon, so you're sort of protected.

I was only posting that link because the price was much less expensivw on Amazon than eBay.

I can't find any review of this brand's batteries, no matter the device, so I wouldn't trust it. But same goes for Samsung batteries because there are all fake and Samsung itself doesn't care nor does Amazon.
I have myself bought "Extremecells" and it's really good. I also know of "Polarcell" (they trick a little with the Ah because it's not more than others) and "Anker" being some trustworthy brands for phone battery.
If I look in Google for "best S5 battery brand" you get a lot of rankings with very different results and I don't think any of them really cares about quality. So best to ignore.
My suggestion is to look for some effort able brands in your area (Extremecell and Polarcell are German, so I don't know if you get them (cheap) in your area) and then look for some reviews of the brands batteries no matter the device. The brands will always use the same production quality (at least for the same generation) and only differ in form and device specifics like contacts and NFC that doesn't have any impact on the quality.

In my local area basically all batteries are the OEM Chinese ones , I heard powerbear is very good, I was trying to find a good battery with an nfc chip since most batteries don't come with one, and the only one that advertised to have an nfc chip was that one
This seems rather difficult. Anker no longer sells for the S5.
I thought of RAVPower but they are American not Chinese as I thought. I'm surprised that Powerbear doesn't have any with NFC Antenna.
Also found a lot of Wubatec batteries but as mentioned here the quality isn't good at all. Sorry but I don't have any other suggestions. Many companies dropped production for S5 as it seems.
Bought a cheap generic one (said to be OEM) off eBay Australia and NFC works perfectly.
It needs to say NFC on the battery. Larger capacity ones dont seem to have an NFC antenna within.
