As the title says, let's show them we want official support if possible since it is available on the much older phones.

It's available for older phones because they are popular and there are devs wanting to port it and maintain it.
So, just quit on Official Support, It's not happening.

Is there any way to extract the EMUI for use on other devices? I saw it on other sites but every one of them was down possibly because the company took them offline.
and thank you for this.

There always are ways to extract the UI and port to other roms but not worth the effort
EMUI is not that good as MIUI or even Samsung's UI, so why trying?

Well, the title basically explains it all. I love Android L, but I can't get it onto any of my devices as CM12 is only available on the popular devices, like the S4 and S5. When will it be ported to the A2? Thanks!

Officially I doubt it, despite Motorola recently been into updating their older phone line-ups. The dual core phones are showing their age. To be honest, the custom CM12 roms for this device would be more beneficial than an official update. I've got it on my LG G2 and it's very good, it'll be interesting to see if the speed improvements translate over to this model of phone as good as it has for this device.

Yeah, custom ROMs would be the way for this device. But yeah, I doubt anyone's gonna port CM12 to this device. It's old already..
Bump.
No android L for me then.

i mean is anybody working on unofficial lollipop cm12 build...
i could see cm12 for LG G pro is available
Its likely it would never see the daylight. You should wait for an official Lollipop Update and hope they would abstain from childish icons, fonts and interface design.

I will give it a shot, once LG pushes out the official 5.0 update for these devices.
Hope we can get a CM12 rom to work on this awesome device...

Hello guys. I want to ask can we flash a M8 rom to E8?
They both have the same hardwares on them. So is it possible?

No. Not without certain tweaks anyway, because their model numbers etc differ. And also the camera module is different. They don't have exactly similar hardware.

I'm not a developer to comment on that. But yes I guess so. Only problem is we don't have many developers for this phone due to it's small reach.

Do you know, what needs to be adjusted?
I would love to see a custom rom for my E8 (M8Sn) and cannot find anyone who is able to help me.
It is the singleSIM version from Germany.

Unfortunately I don't. There are a few people on our forums here, CaptainThrowback and DutchDanny. They are familiar with development. Try asking them. Or contact a dev from M8 forums and ask instead, if they are free enough, they might guide you.
I'm trying to build miui 8 for e8 ? watch out!
so easy
Now that the S*+ is going to get Oreo and treble what does this mean for the future of ROM development? Will there be an explosion of AOSP ROMs available for our phones? Will it change the need to unlock and root to flash?

No it said that as of the beta it doesn't. Not that it isn't going to get it.

And moving to it would involve essentially what is a rewrite of SE9 for the s8 and require a data wipe. There is absolutely no way samsung is going to take the time to migrate these phones twice. If they were going to do it all they would have delayed the release (significantly).
Project treble may never come to S8+ as it's not required that Samsung make it for s8+. Rest we wait and watch.
