I have been using Reflector 2 for recording screen captures from both my iPhone and Moto G 3rd gen for work. Recently the Moto G has stopped finding the cast device but the iPhone still finds it fine.
Any ideas??
The software maker has released a new version to work around an update. This is now working

I've had the phone since August and just started to use the HDMI to stream Skysports (Orange swappable) to our TV and it will not display in widescreen all ways square.
edit the picture is cropped to square
I've tried gallery photos (which are stored on SD card not phone).
I have a xperia T and using the MHL cable it displays full screen for stream and gallery on the TV, likewise tried a xperia P which like the Razr has a hdmi port (I'll not call it HD until proven otherwise).
I've also tried different browsers Chrome, Boat, Opera and Firefox with same result (Orange swappable runs via a browser)
To me this not a HD phone, I've not found a app to output HD full widescreen. Currently on stock JB 98.26002.XT925.Orange.en.GB
Does any one have similar experience or solution?
Never mind no need to respond with an answer.
Going to buy the xperia P I loaned it's a better phone as the HD output works, will wait for KK update to see if that fix the HDMI output and if doesn't output widescreen I'll will dispose of to the waste bin.
My first Motorola a Razr I got hot after 3 months from new which I scrapped and looks like this Razr HD will meet the same fate, can't abide bad design/workmanship.
As the Moto X is not available in the UK and the Moto G has not got TV output features I'll probably not bother with another Motorola, looking like it'll be a Sony or Samsung from now on.

I asked this over on G+ and was answered by Motorola employee, Sandy Speirs.

CPUZ output on the G3. It has an orientation sensor (+ accelerometer). What is the orientation sensor? Seems to be a gyro.
Moto G 3rd Gen is latest smart phone which is such a brilliant & the speciality of this phone is, It's waterproof phone by Moto G! Moto G is already branted phone & now it's back with Moto G 3rd Gen. So let's just wait for it's review.

I think that's just the "compass", on my N4 CPUZ shows another row that states "LGE Gyroscope Sensor" with different readouts, so.. i don't think so, sadly.
it doesn't seem to have a gyro, google cardboard doesn't work on the G (doesn't recognize movement of the device)
it's really the only gripe i have with the phone, not a huge deal, but i was starting to have some fun with cardboard on my Nexus 6 and now i have to wait until the 2015 X to play with that again
can't it use accelerometer and magenometer to achieve same movement sensing?

I don't think so. Accelerometer cant give out precise rotation axis data like gyroscope. So for photospheres to work, gyroscope is essential.
Does Moto G 3rd Gen 2015, XT1541 UK (similar to XT1540 USA) have to have the equivalent of a sensor to know whether the phone is in the; portrait or landscape position?

Hello Guys,
I recently bought a moto g 2015 2GB Varient. When i Look the device as straight i can see everything clearly. When i bring the phone close and slightly Turn I can see a texturing on my phone. I Can see these texturing when the Display is on. THese textures are similar just like back of moto G 2015. Is this normal or just the problem faced by me.
It's normal. i can also see same textures on my moto g xt1550.

Today I Got My Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition... Now The Problem I Am Facing With It is, Front Camera Is Too Dark In Video Mode And Video Calling. Whole Screen Is Too Dark...
Anyway To Fix This Issue Or Should I Ask For A Replacement... The Still Images Are Very Good From Front Camera. But When I Record Video Using Front Camera Or Do Video Call Those Seems Too Dark.
It's normal.. Motorola camera is different from Skype or hangouts video camera

Thanks for your reply. What about One Plus X front camera during video call on artificial lighting (a 15w-30w LED lamp probably)... Also Moto G screen seems kind of yellowish.
Any idea on One Plus X battery life? Actually I do Skype calling, Web browsing and social networking on my mobile and sometimes I play games like Asphalt 8 or Nova 3.
Will One Plus X will be a good buy over Moto G Turbo Edition?

Hi :highfive:, i dont have any knowledge on O+x bro, all i know about One+X is it got better Display and Better Processor
but phone standby time would not be better than Moto G 3 ( Turbo/ other) because Apps are optimized in marshmallow so that they wouldn't consume much power [ youtube used to take so much power before, but now in marshmallow it comparatively low ]
i don't know how O+X camera looks in the time of video call , but i have Lumia730 which has way better video produced while i am in video calls, so i simply cant comment on O+x
Hello,
over the years i've owned a Moto X, X2, X Force and now the z2 force.
It sucks that the features that made the original X & X2 have slowly disappeared.
I could have sworn the X Force and z2 force used to have the "attentive display" option in the Moto app, but now it seems to have gone missing.
Can anyone else confirm this and/ or is there a solution?
Having the screen on when I'm reading an article or Facebook is really handy.

I have a Sprint Z2 Force, and it's never had the Attentive Display option. However, I also have a Z³ Play, as well as a G6 Play, and those 2 both DO have attentive display.

Okay thanks. at least I know I'm not crazy =D
It went away in 8.0 but came back in 9.0, not sure why Moto did this...
Great and I have a TMO z2 Force =(
Flashing to 9.0 seems risky.
motorola is no longer what it was
In z 1st gen has got the option
