[Q] Phone calls breaking up on WCDMA

We have 2 mytouch 4g's. Both of them have problems when making or receiving calls. The calls keep breaking up and therefore we cannot understand what is being said. It seems that the problem is happening when the phone is set to WCDMA or auto GMS/WCDMA. I've also noticed that when I set the phone to GMS only, I get more bars then on either of the other 2 settings and the call problem improves. This problem happens at both my house and also my wife says at the place she works, which is 3 miles from the house.
Anyone else having this problem and any fixes known

[Q] Constant switching from LTE to 3G

Hello,
so I got my nexus 5 a couple days a go, and it's my first LTE phone. In my apartment I do not have the best cell reception on LTE or 3G but thats not my problem. My phone is switching from LTE and 3G quite often. I wouldn't care about that except that once it decides to switch it seems to drop the one connection and then take 30 seconds + to get the other one, so I have missed several calls because of it.
it's not the biggest deal, because I will just disable LTE when I am connected to my home wifi, but I am wondering if this could be a hardware hardware problem that I should call google about or a software problem that I could fix/wait for fix.
Thanks in advance!

I have noticed my nexus 5 drops to 3g when sending or receiving SMS. I am probably wrong, but the phone could also be switching off LTE to save on battery but connecting back to LTE for background data sync.
Same here on the signal change upon receiving SMS and email (exchange). I am now dropping calls more often on this device vs note 3 when either SMS or email arrives.

Nexus 5 network issue

Hi i have a nexus 5 android 6.0.1 and whenever I make or receive a call the network drops from LTE to 3G to Edge. It stays on Edge even after the call has been ended and the only way to goes back to LTE is when the phone is locked for a few minutes. I checked the settings number cellular networks -> preferred network type and its on LTE. I have done a complete wipe on the phone twice and still the same issue.
Also in the past I have another issue which was resolved and I have had this phone for about 2.5 years and after the first 6months the sim was unreadable. The person I got it fixed from stated that the guy I bought the phone off reported it stolen and the only to use it was to switch the motherboard. Im not sure if they are related .
The main issue the network dropping down to Edge is causing is when I drive for uber and passengers call me sometimes I cannot start the trip or load the gps for a few minutes .
This is because of CSFB functionality. LTE is used only for data connection and if you receive or place a CS voice call, then the phone switch to 3G or 2G (depends from signal strenght) to make a call and after that if signal is strong enough switch back to LTE.

Why does my wi-fi calling suck???

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and live in an area with very poor cellphone reception. I have wi-fi calling turned on but it is as if the phone is ignoring the wi-fi calling setting and keeps trying to connect with the crappy cellphone service.
I have no problems with wired VOIP calling so I thought maybe my wi-fi is the problem. So I went so far as to upgrade my wi-fi to Ubiquiti UniFi access points but that didn't help at all.
I also have the LTE calling option turned on (I'm on Sprint ). In the past I experimented with turning it off and it didn't really help. Besides, I want to leave that on so I can get voice+data when I'm not on wi-fi.
Is there something else I can do to improve my wi-fi call quality? And is there any way to confirm that my calls are actually being placed over wi-fi rather than the weak cell signal I have here? Any suggestions would be appreciated, I moved here a few months ago and I'm going bonkers with the crappy call quality. HELP!

Wifi Calling and Signal Strength

Has anyone tested Wifi Calling on ATT with the v60 yet? I find on my Pixel series phones that wifi calling won't start until the call has already been established on the network, witch results in a 'blip' in the audio that cuts out for 1-2 seconds. The pixel will park on Wifi calling during standby if the signal is terrible, which I don't see too often. Is there a wifi calling preferred setting on the v60? I'm hoping it acts like the iPhone and just parks on Wifi calling during standby unless there is very good service, say -105 or better signal.
Second question, how is the signal strength on low band 5g on ATT vs band 12 LTE? Do you find it comparable? How is the signal strength in general on this phone compared to others? I'm looking to switch to ATT from Verizon, but band 12 is very congested here.
