Hi ,
Hope someone can help me, I'm trying to root my android car stereo, the brand is Pumpkin rk30sdk Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
I cant find any information on how to root this device , I'm trying to root the device so I can use a usb broadband dongle, is there any one out there who has done this before to this head unit. Any information would be greatly appreciated,
thanks
Paul
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Is it the exact model number? Because I didn't find anything about "rk30sdk". Information for rckPX2 model may be helpful: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...rooting-pumpkin-android-rckpx2-4-4-4-t3196342
Feel free to browse the other threads in the Android Head Units forum.

So i picked up this 10.1 '' tablet in a sale on amazon, i wanted to play hearthstone on it when i was away from my pc (as i have a problem), however the 'unique' way in which HS installs to the internal memory no matter what made me look up solutions, when doing so i figured out that i must not have a rooted device as i wasn't able to use the workarounds provided.
So then i reckon the internet could help, so far i haven't been able to find a solution and was told from multiple people (rooting is easy...just look up your model and...) problem is i cannot find any mention on the internet as to a solution for me,
Please, please, please help me i am running out of patience with this yoke, and if i could get help from your professional's i would be in your debt.
If someone has an idea please help i can provide any/all info to do with this tablet if necessary:
Time2touch 10.1'' gc1044e running 4.4.4 kitkat,
Thanks for taking the time to read this,

Hello guys, I was just referred to the forum by a friend of mine to hopefully receive some expert advice from.
I have recently purchased and installed an android headunit in to my car, and out of it there are two USB ports.
One is for 3G/4G internet dongle, and another is for Media transfer.
When i plugged in the USB stick, instead of it flashing (when it works on computer it flashes constantly), it flashed for one second and gone.
The headunit itself cannot pick up any signals/cant recognise the USB stick.
Would you guys have any ideas how to tackle this?
In specific, the specs are:
Android: 4.4.2
MCU version: 5.3 18-60-10-C00101-160111
System version: 4.5.9_20160322
Cheers in advance.
Bernie

Hello Everyone,
I hope this is the correct thread to ask this question.
I have recently installed a Secaine 9†android Radio in my 2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS. I had it working well but then tried to update the firmware to IQ Navi which has been used by several others that I know of successfully in this very same radio. The update seemed to go well except now I have no wifi options available . I can no longer see my LAN or those off my neighbors which I could see before updating the firmware.
I have not updated The MCU.
I have tried to reset the unit to factory defaults but still no wiFi!
Specs:
quadcore-R16 1.6G
Android 4.4.2
MCU : 5.3.18-B32-E43101-160531
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer and let me know if I should post this some where else. I am just a bit desperate!

Hi there and welcome to assist,
Unfortunately there is nothing about your question on XDA forum. Try a Google search.
Good luck
I bought this MiBox S from Walmart:

I don't see any topic specific for Mi Box S. Can someone help me identify the model so I can find more information about it? I am interested in using custom kernel.
