I've got the Gear 2 and I'm receiving notifications, but I am noticing that there is EXTREMELY limited notification for the Exchange email portion. Such as, I hope I look at the screen the moment the alert comes up so that I might actually see more than just the name of the emailer, but possibly a small portion of the subject. Because when I go back into notifications and select email, I get the following alert:
"The content of this email cannot be shown on the Gear for security reasons. For details, view this email on your mobile device.".
NOTE: I left the original Galaxy Gear for the Pebble and now left the Pebble for the Gear 2. Both the Galaxy Gear as well as the Pebble allowed me to see the content (albeit not all content, but some) of the emails from my Exchange account... I am aware that certain security protocols within Exchange would limit the view, however if that same protocol was active on the Exchange account, it would have limited notifications on all three devices, not just this one.
Is anyone else experiencing this aggravating issue?
I've attempted all software updates as well as checked within the Accessibility settings (but there is no Gear service there to approve access) and within Security (notification access) and Gear Manager is already checked.
Gear Manager version: 2.0.14040401
Gear 2 Software Version: R380XXU0BND8
Yes same issue and I fill your pain it sucks when Your in a meeting that was the selling point of the gear2 frustrating that's for sure.
Try Cloudmagic for your Exchange emails. The notifications are working for me, with a few minor bugs such as a doubling or tripling sometimes of the email notification. Also use the older stock Android email and Exchange Services, but this gave me more of the same type of bugs in frequency, so I went to Cloudmagic and am happy enough.
Hacked Sense Exchange app (preventing PIN lock enforcement, available on most custom HTC ROMs) also defeats this security limitation. I'm able to see Exchange email subject and several lines of text on my Gear 2 with HTC One M8.

I'm rocking the Note 3, but glad to hear notifications are working as they should with non-Sammy devices... *facepalm at Samsung*
*grumble grumble*

Ahh... Cloudmagic! I haven't tried that yet. I've had it installed for about an hour and I love it! Thank you for the pointer! Makes it even better that I'm able to see my notifications on the Gear 2 now with it. SWEET!

Glad to "pay it forward" from the poster that I read this tip from. Cheers!
no problem with exchange here! I have two accounts (2010 and 2007) and both work as they should! I can read the emails without any problems, and the notification shows a few words of the content...

I used the ZWatch for a while before the Neo came out. Exchange emails were very limited, so at the advice of the community, I switched to K9 for emails. Well, for some reason today, K9 wasn't getting any emails out, so I turned the base client back on and was I ever glad I did. I can see the full content of the email on my device, which is EXACTLY the functionality I need.
I'm running a Gear 2 Neo against a Verizon Galaxy S3 on the stock version of 4.3.
I am very pleased with the Exchange Email output on my watch.
Thank you for the heads up with Cloud Magic it's been kicking a** that was the main reason I purchased the gear 2 for easy read of notifications during meetings all day I left my cell on my hip and looked at my gear to see the importance of the notification.
Thank you bro.

Glad to help out and share what i find out myself. That is why I like to visit XDA. I still am hopeful that Samsung did not intentionally block Exchange notifications, but it could be that they gave in to Corporate pressures on this. Since they did "break" it once in a past update, but then got it working again, we will all have to wait and see.
Gear S2 mail problem with exchange
I have exactly the same problem with my Gear S2.....and no solution :crying:
Hello, first sorry for my bad english. Unfortunately, I have to write with Google translator.
I have for a few days, the Samsung S2 Gear Classic. After I set it far, I'm very happy with it. However I read an issue with my mail on the Gear S2.
Namely, the full text of a mail to me will not be displayed. After a certain number of characters of the text is easily interrupted. This is in any longer mail like this.
Connected is the Gear S2 with the LG G3. I have tried it with the Apps GMail, AquaMail, K-9 Mail and the preinstalled on the LG G3 Mail app. However, in no single app the complete text appears to me from long mails.
Is this a bug or normal?
With Android Wear it was at least the App GMail so that here the complete mail text has been displayed.
If with you the complete mail text is displayed and if so, with what Mail app?

Same for my on my gear s2 classic...very frustrating but probably not a bug. Hoping that Samsung changes this in a future update, but they may or may not...
hi there
i am in a search of a smartwatch be it android or no hesitating between the gear s3 and huawei watch 2
my main use is the ebay app ( being a seller i need to be on that app to see my sales details etc), viber and whatsapp
i have just a few questions, from all the reviews on youtube few forum here and there i understand that :
- there is no official app of ebay for the gear s3? means i will get notification of a sale but wont be able to check the app on my watch as there no tizen ebay app?
-same for viber and whatsapp, as far as i understand, there is again no official app for viber and whatsapp meaning cant take a call or make a call from my watch, i will just get notification
if someone can help me regarding this?
i was thinking if all was true, that mean the gear s3 is just to received notifications??? it would be a bit pricey just to get notification about an app and no real app management from the watch itself
if someone could guide me regarding the usafe of the gear s3 before i buy it
thank you
Chose Huawei smart watch 2 .you will never get Viber call or Messenger full history messaging in Gear s3.
Hi all,
I just took delivery of my new Gear S3 and had a couple of questions if someone could kindly point me in the right direction.
1. If I get a Whatsapp notification on my Gear S3 and the notification has an image attachment, is there any way I can view this on my Gear S3?
2. If I view the Whatsapp notification on my smartphone it is removed from my Gear S3, how do I view the last message again on the Gear S3?
Thank you,
Mark
1) Search for "Image Viewer 4 WhatsApp" in Gear App Store
2) Search for "WHistory" in Gear App Store
Unfortunately it's not possible without third party apps.

Hi
I have the Samsung Gear S3 and a Samsung Galaxy S7 and when my S7 is locked it won't send/push messages (particularly whatsapp messages) to my Gear S3. I have the show content on plus notifications on the Gear on for whatsapp. Not sure if anyone else has come across this as well.
Any advice to fix this would be helpful.
Thanks
Amy
Hello - I haven’t been receiving any notifications on my watch 4 classic when using google messaging. If I switch to Samsung messaging it works fine. Called support and they told me I had two options: upgrade to watch 5 or send in my brand new watch to have the board replaced? They state my watch does not support the messaging. I get the messages when I launch the app, just no notifications … any thoughts please?
Hello there spudslatte,
I don't really think those problems should be happening so I think youre best option is to send it in for board replacement.
Hope this helps,
Akhilan
