WB xperia install.

Hi, I've just installed the WB xperia 6.0.0s and all seems to be o k, but I later saw there was a 'g' version and was curious of the difference.
Also I had bravia and xloud installed, and after installing WB, both bravia and xloud are gone.
Was wondering if I can re-install bravia and xloud again?

Should i zipalign all the rom after deodex? It will faster?

Zipaligning your apps will "compress" them witch results in less RAM usage of some .apk's. So basically you will have more RAM free. To answer your question - not really but if you think it's faster it's probably a placebo.

What's the difference beetween Bravia engine 3 and X-Reality?
These 2 are the same?

As far as I'm aware they are the same there isn't a bravia engine 3. It's xfrm x-reality for mobile and bravia engine 2. That's what I got on my m2 from a z1

Sony doesn't have a bravia engine 3. It's bravia engine 2

Disagree.
As far I know, Bravia Engine has been ported to mid-range devices and Z Series, but, Z3 develop a new Bravia Engine, known as Bravia Engine 3, which release "Super-vivid mode" and X-Reality as well. So, might have some difference between those two. Now, the port system might be different so, BE2 and also 3 looks like the same.

I'm using original z1 bravia engine 2 and x-reality files and z3 super vivid files and followed tutorials on how to install on any Sony device , it should be be2(swiqi2) x-reality(swiqi3) and xrfm(xrfm) X-RealityForMobile.

Please suggest what are the top things / tricks we can do if we already root our Xperia M2? I'm looking for Xposed but it's not working as of now.

You can clean apps that you don't need/use so they don't take space/battery, use apps that works with root permission (Titanium Backup, SD Maid, AFWall etc), change zRam so it doesn't waist battery, theme your apps like you want.

Don't think there is much unless you know how to compile mods yourself. We don't even have a superuser mod available for installing other Xperia apks. Xposed I can't see ever working on Sony 5.1 m2 as t2u has had the same problem since 5.0 was released months ago and nothing has been done about it deodexing tools don't work either so we can't even deodex the rom. I've deleted all the Sony/google apps I never use to make a bit of space. I've left my zram settings as Sony intended and I'm getting great battery life, best suggestion is have a look round on here but make a backup before doing anything in case of problems later on

Again, this is a self explanatory thread, but I'll try to explain it so that anyone can understand it.
Xperia M2 upgrade 18.6.A.0.182 is, at the moment of writing this, only available via OTA, which means that if you don't get the notification about the update, you can't get it in any way.
Providing that, and that there're lot's of people currently using Custom Roms, such as OmniRom, CM12.1, SlimLP, Xperia Z5 S.T.Y.L.E., and Gaurav's Deodexed ROMs, they might not be able to get the update. So, if that's your chase, this is for you.
How to install it?
Download the flashable zip, flash it through your preferred recovery and enjoy. As simple as that!

Which one are you using? Here with Z5 v2 camera port (with M2 resolution settings by boyrock) everything is working fine, excepting when you open fron camera from lockscreen, that's the only thing that gives crashes..

Using gauravs z2 port final version all installed on fresh install with stock camera from that port, get same with this patch with the updated files. Camera opens from camera button and from lockscreen it focuses ect then shuts off abruptly just before capturing the image tried clearing apps data and wiping cache and dalvik cache.

I'll flash this right now, niice to have a fix already for the camera, I'll flash this on Xperia Z5 style 4.5 Beta.

Still the same fc's just as it's going to capture the shot gaurav. Even after clearing all camera apps data and wiping cache and dalvik cache after flashing.

Adrian something must be f****d up in your current setup, because it's working fine for me in Z2 deodexed rom. :silly:
And my guess is that it's something related with upgrading via PRF, maybe something is breaking this.

Hum... Xposed... Xposed...
Try disabling/removing Xposed. I remember a user had some troubles with camera when having it installed. Maybe is related.

Wipe dalvik after uninstalling it. Once you install Xposed it leaves some traces, this is not the appropiate way of testing... Probably camera will be unrecoverable until you flash a clean FTF, same goes to @[email protected]om. I'm quite sure is something related to this.

It was a totally clean fresh installation of everything to avoid these problems. This is why I waited so long before flashing the mod

I Am on holidays now will check this thing later

It opens, focuses ect just won't capture the shot scratching my head here. I installed the de-bloated version then just installed the apps I wanted from the zip afterwards

Exact same situation.Can you launch camera from app drawler.I have fc and i can launc it only via hardware button.
