[Completed] Insufficient Storage !! - XDA Assist

hey,
My new phone :-
Samsung Galaxy J2
Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7
1 GB Ram
8 GB internal memory.
Firstly, i'm new to android & facing a problem. Internal memory is 8gb & now free space is showing as 460MB. But, i cannot update or download an app. The error shows "Insufficient storage - Consider deleting apps or content you no longer need". I cleared all; cache files but same error. The interesting point is that i can make use of the remaining 460mb for music files/videos (which i have confirmed). It doesn't show any error. But, i can't download an app or update. I'm seeking help to solve this. Waiting for valuable solution.

[Q] Micromax A110 - Phone storage free space increases after opening Apps from settin

Hi,
I have Micromax A110 Mobile. I have installed JPM jelly bean ROM on it. Thanks to jigarpattani Bhai.
When I install new apps with low MBs (5 MB to 20MB max) it says Storage space running out. And when I go to Apps and select downloaded, I find there is around 40 MB free and it gradually increases and shows somewhere around 150 MB is free.
I have already moved all the Apps to SD card. In spite of that I find the issue. Because of this I am unable to install any new apps. If apps are less than 5 MB am able to install.
Any suggestion and solution would help. If some one can give solution to merge phone and internal SD card memory as together as internal storage it would be great.

I think the issue is google play store is getting wrong data from ur phone its miscalculating ur device memory simply uninstall updates of google play and clear data and cache see again if I help u press thnks

[Q] N7000 displaying full memory and wrong total internal memory

Hi folks at XDA!
My name is Erich And I have a N7000 (first gen Galaxy Note).
I have it rooted and although it is a 16GB device, it is showing just 10.9 GB of internal memory when I plug it to the PC via USB.
But this is not the major problem. The major problem is that it is displaying full memory (2GB total) even after a factory reset and installing a just the super optimizer app.
I´ve tried to use odin with the 16GB .PIT file but it didn´t helped.
I´ve tried to format it to ext 4 with Phil-z CWM and I can´t boot it past CWM anymore. Later today, I´ll try to install the original ROM file from sammobile.
Can someone please help me mainly with the memory problem?

go into settings > storage > normally you will get Internal phone storage at about 2 GB and Internal SD card at about 13.43 GB ( when it is having a 16 GB embedded SD card)
your 16 GB embedded SD card has many hidden partitions, so usable storage space will be reduced.
what you can do is copy all the contnts of your SD card to your PC and than format it by settings > storage> format to get back full space.

Thanks man! This is what I get when I do as you told:
device memory
- total space: 1.97 GB
- apps: 402 MB
- Available space: 1.56 GB
USB Storage
- Total Space 11.08 GB
- Apps: 86.12 MB
- Images, videos: 1.53 MB
- Audio: 32 KB
- Other Files: 172 MB
- Available Space: 10.88 GB
Keep in mind that I did a factory reset this weekend and formated everything via PhilZ CWM.
The real problem with all this is that the avaiable ROM goes full with just few apps like Waze, WhatsApp, gApps and such. I used to install lots of apps with no problems, but now this space goes up real fast.
Anyway, I will play with it again after the format/ factory reset.

And it happened again.
It was ok yesterday, with 1.5 GB free yesterday and today it is full. The last thing I've installed was any.do and any.do Cal. But those were about 5 days ago.
All the movable Apps are in the external SD
All pictures were deleted too.
All I've intalled is:
- Super optimizer;
- tinder
- swift key
- skype
- waze
- WhatsApp
Root apps:
- root checker
- Super User
- Super SU
- PhilZ CWM
So, again I ask again the good people at XDA:
Does anyone have any Idea of what's happening?

I can´t update any app because the ROM isn´t enough for the action. Can someone please help me?

What ROM are you using?, and also which recovery do you have?

[Completed] Gionee Elife s5.1 - Internal Storage Issue

I am having Gionee s5.1 phone with 16GB storage (no SD Card support) running on 4.4.2 Android version. The phone storage divided into 2 sections:
6.25 - This is called Internal Storage. Android version is installed on this with pre installed applications.
9.75 - This is used for media storage and currently no file or images in this storage.
I have uninstall all the unnecessary applications (Pre-installed) from the phone and keep only Cleanmaster, Whatsapp, Facebook Messagner and imo. I have automatic update of apps is off as well as from google play store.
Now the problem is, when I bought this phone it has around 2.3 GB space available and a week back, with above configuration and application, it shows mes only 471 MB space left. I have gone through each and every application manually and removed the cache also used Cleanmaster for the same but no help.
Someone told me to do Factory Reset to resolve this and I do last week. At that time my internal storage back to 2.63 GB free of 6.25 GB allocated and I am happy. Again I configured my phone with above software and disabled the auto update of apps from google apps a week ago. Today, when I go to Settings -> Storage, it shows only 400 MB space left of 6.25 GB. I am not sure what to do and how to deal with this situation. I googled solutions to deal with it like root the phone (King root used) and use Link2SD or App2SD to move the apps but those app said SD partition not mount. I tried minipartition wizard to partition for 9.75GB as shown on the various blgs, but my phone shows message of Corrupted SD Card. No luck... :crying:
Can any one let me know how can I merge internal storage (6.25 GB) with phone storage (9.75 GB) to use the phone without any issue?
Or
How can I use the Phone Storage as Internal Storage and move applications to Phone storage?
Urgent help is greatly appreciated...
