Marshmallow battery life - X Style (Pure) General

My big excitement for 6.0 was Doze and I think many other people felt the same. So I thought I'd post my experience thus far here.
I sideloaded the US 6.0 ROM yesterday around 10AM with 67% left on my phone. At 11PM I had 27% left, usually going that long would have me somewhere around the mid teens at 11PM.
I don't have a lot of screen on time, but when it is on I'm usually playing a game (Hearthstone) or watching a video. My SoT varies between 1.5 to 2.5 hours on a normal day. I have a Moto 360 (2015) that I use for all of my notification checking and such so my phone usually sits on a desk or in a pocket. I leave GPS on high accuracy all the time and am usually running on wifi but stream Google Play music over LTE for about 2 hours while driving throughout the day.
You'd think that using a smartwatch would give me better battery life, but at least with Lollipop my battery life was actually worse when my smartwatch is synced. By about 5%

I am using the 6.0 ROM and cell standby yet again is what is using most battery.

What's your screen on time? And what are the details of your cell standby?

Did you ever consider you need to give the new rom time to settle?

Maybe time will tell

Personally, I've never really noticed the settling in of a ROM, as far as battery life is concerned.
As far as the OP, I've also noticed a slight increase in battery life, particularly standby, so it seems doze is working as advertised. I'm going to leave my phone off the charger tonight and see how much juice I lose. It's usually around 10-15%.

I flashed the deodexed debloated rooted MM from the development thread last night, so far battery life is worse than TruePureX LP for me. On TruePureX LP, my idle drain is close to 0%, but now the drain is -10%/hr to -20%/hr... I wonder if the phone is doing the internal memory encryption? (I don't have an sd card inserted). Hopefully it will get better...

Battery drain was worse when I first updated to MM, but today battery use has been great. Much better standby time than lollipop.

Can I just say...my phone was at 100% at 8:50am this morning. Right now (9pm) at 33%. And it promises me it has 7 more hours in it. Coming from a Galaxy S4 where I changed battery halfway through the day, I am beyond impressed. This is better than I expected. At first didn't get into the big Doze hype, but now. Wow.

Nevermind... DERP

Pretty sure all that does is change the filter. For me, the default was "Not optimized", so it only showed the 3 apps that aren't optimized (DMService, Google Play services, and Motorola Notification). Apparently these 3 apps cannot be optimized since they all say "Battery optimization not available".
Toggling to "All apps" just switches the filter to show (you guessed it) all apps.

Here is an update I turned off scanning in location, didn't listen to any music since I fully charged my phone. Much better battery life however I usually listen to music via bt everyday. Oh and cell standby is much better.

I'm happy with the doze effect... i get very little battery drain while its on stand by.... maybe 1 percent over 3 hours... but while using it i do see a steep drop in the battery while playing games/videos... which is fine....

Hmm...I turned scanning off as well but it didn't help with drain from Cell Standby much (probably because Im on WiFi all day anyway) but Doze seems to work now (I turned off "keep WiFi on during sleep"). I can't really complain though because I'm pretty happy with these numbers. If Cell Standby is actually reporting accurately, my battery life would be beyond phenomenal if drain from it were to be fixed.
FYI, this is on the completely stock OTA.

You get better battery life by far using LTE more often. For some this isn't an option because of tiered data but I'm unlimited. Qualcomm's.power envelope for LTE is a much more noticeable improvement on battery in the moto x. And WiFi range isn't as good as my note4. LTE on the note4 is marginally better than WiFi with power envelope tech, but still a noticeable improvement on battery. I exclusively use LTE on my note4 and moto x because of this. Less charging because I get better battery and better for the battery life long term as I'm using less charging cycles. And moto needs to hurry up on the marshmallow update. I want my band 12 activated so I can try using it again asy daily driver. The note4 is still a beast and longest I've used a phone as daily driver at 14+ months. Tmobile dropped the ball skipping the 5.1.1 update. Terrible terrible because 5.0.1 is half assed on Samsung and tmobile's part. 6.0 for marshmallow doesnt excite me because I'm still stuck on 4.4.4.because 5.0.1 is soooo bad.

The longest you've used a phone as a DD is 14 months and you're worried about the number of charging cycles you have on your MXPE? I'd understand if you're looking to get 3 years out of it.

I'm on day three, and so far it's been better for me too. Outstanding when left untouched, slightly better when using it. Doze is really that good, it's just hard to leave my phone alone long enough for it to work LOL. Performance was great for me on LP but is noticeably quicker on MM. I will say that after the initial OTA update, it wasn't what I expected so did a factory reset.. after the reset, was tons better. Beyond impressed!

I cracked 4hrs SOT for the first time since I got my MXPE thanks to MM. High accuracy location and Bluetooth on the whole time.

[Q] Battery

Hi All
I'm set with money ready to buy the Nexus 5 ( 32 GB ) or Z1 Compact
And I wonder how well the battery of the N5 performs in real life
Because...when I buy the N5 I don't plan to leave it at 2.26Ghz...in fact I even plan to underclock it to 1.7Ghz ( Because Xperia Z has a 5" and is clocked at an even lower speed and still performs well )
And I'm a light user...who never or rarely uses Wi-FI and am always on 2g ( I never use 4G or 3G ) and always on 5-10% Brightness I also plan to remove all bloatware ( except Google Now ) my phone usually sits on bed and I only get it out to watch some 720p Vids then it rests again
Could I get a day or two out of it and is the "Camera Draining the battery issue" fixed on the 4.4.2 Update?
and finally i just wonder up to now why Z1c gets higher scores than N5 I mean N5 is clocked at higher speeds could this be the effect of Thermal Throttling
Thanks alot :good:

Well, nexus 5 will give you a day backup easily according to your usage
The camera bug is not yet fixed, but there are rumors for 4.4.3 update which gonna fix it and gonna release soon
You need to fairly choose between fast updates(nexus and gpe series) or more hardware features (all other smartphone)
If you are interested in rooting and customizing stuff, then you will get plenty of those in nexus 5
Even my usage is similar like you, I use 3G, I do get one day battery backup
I hope it helps you
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I'm not 100% sure on the compacts specs but my friend has the Z1. It's exactly the same processor and clock speed. Apart from the camera is awesome and it's waterproof. But u get a crappy sony ui. And Sony updates (which to be fair it has just received 4.4.2) but in my past experience of owning Sony's as soon as their next phone is released they forget about the previous.
The nexus on the other hand is far smoother and faster to use and WILL get all the latest Android releases first and always. And no bloatware. Just fast smooth simple Android
I was deciding between the two before I got my Nexus, and to be fair i don't think I'd have been disappointed in either.
And yes you can easily get 2 days out of the nexus.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Ahh because I was a bit skeptical since I checked the GSMarena website and battery endurance was at 40H and Z1c is like 65H
How about the overheating issues?

From what you describe as your usage I can see it lasting a day no problem, perhaps 36 hours, maybe more if you let the battery go down far. My Nexus 5 typically burns from 100% to 70% over 10 hours from when I leave to when i get back from work, and thats on 4G/3G with decent to fair signal, bluetooth on, wifi on, and brightness all the way up, with texting on and off through the day. With minimum texting once I made it around 85-88%, little over 1% an hour.
That's great to know since I even plan to Underclock the phone and leave the other connection options off at most times
As for Google Now without net would it still work or just show "Cannot Reach Google at the moment"

I would say most people running on stock everything will NOT get the stats you're getting.
About 3-4 SOT is about average I would think, and that is with brightness at a lower setting. Don't give users a false sense of security, as your stats are far from the norm...

3-4 SoT hours is already more than most phones could hope for.
6-8 hours SoT is achievable on stock, with lighter usage and mostly WiFi. I wouldn't say it's misleading to expect 6 hours SoT as that seems to be what most users on here are settling down with.
Edit for obligatory proof: Take today for instance, 3 hours SoT with 54% battery remaining. Heavy data usage and loss of signal included. Stock and unrooted.

It shows what is possible. And the battery life thread can show anyone how to do it. Its not hard. Turn stuff off. Toggle it on when you actually truly need it. It isn't that inconvenient.
Yes, you are right about the average times ...the problem is some, like a person in this thread we all should know, complain and complain and complain about their 3 hours screen time. Meanwhile, everything is on, they're gaming, using auto brightness in the sunshine...etc...etc...
As you said, 3 to 4 SOT is average I'd say. If that disappoints anyone....do something about it....there's a battery thread full of help....or sell the phone and buy one with a huge battery that can handle everything on and give you more hours.

That's true, on wifi, the battery life really shines. Out in the real world, with varying signal strength, I would put the average around 3-4 SOT with everything on however.

Its insane lol Iam coming from a htc one and this easily lasts double what i got from the htc! Now i have adjusted my settings to help with battery life, I always do when i get a new phone. I turn alot of stuff off that aint being used and only turn them on if need be! None the less this is by far the best battery life i have ever experienced from a phone! It also drains consistently where as with the htc it used to drop from 100 - around 96 within a few minutes and then when it got to 30 it seemed to suddenly start draining faster! I took this off charge at 100 and left in standby for over 4 or 5 hours and it was still at 100%
I had great battery life when I first got mine. Since I updated the software, it's tanked.
I have repaired and factory reset it and i've optimised everything with battery savings, but went from 8 hours SOT and two day battery to around 6 screen on and at about 20% when I go to bed after one day.
HTC One M8 gave me around 6 hours screen on time, and lasted a day and a half.
Hoping this sorts itself out, as the screen temperature issue, speaker notification volume, and now battery life, is not enough to of justified my jumping ship :/ (Even though I really wanted it because it's waterproof) lol.
All that said, the battery life even now is excellent still.
It's not that good as some people say but still ok. I would say that maybe 20-30% better than htc one m8. This means that you can easily go through the work day but if you would be go out after the work day (partying) you would be a bit worried if the battery lasts.

I have hight demand about battery life but I'm also happy with Z3 dual. I wish it can be charge ( much ) faster by microUSB port, best could be about 2 hours.
I am actually disappointed by the battery. It's down to 80% after just an hour and a half with medium usage. How is it going to last 2 days like that? Don't know if my phone is a faulty device or I am doing something wrong. It's charging now, I will put up some screenshots if it's still bad. Everything else is perfect so the battery being bad (which should be the best thing with this phone) is making me sad :/

Been unplugged for about 9.5 hours. A lot of whatsapp usage today. Battery life currently sitting at 65%. About half LTE and half WiFi.
This is a lot better than my Samsung S4, but not sure how it compares to other users.
I'm actually curious if anyone has compared the z2 and z3 battery performance in real world usage with the same usage pattern? Which has the longer sceen on time and standby time etc.

Nothing special
Could anyone tell me if this looks right? Is it good or bad? I didn't charge it overnight so ~10 hours are included in which I didn't use the phone.
Here's my battery usage the first day after I got it (charged up to full overnight before starting to use):
http://imgur.com/a/RyftP?gallery
Summary: 13.5 hours on battery, leaving me with 6%, with 8h43m+ screen on time and 3+ hours of music. Coming from a Nexus 4, I'm very very happy.
coming from LG G i'm very happy.
I'm struggling to get 4 hours of screen time before it dies after less than a day. No apps at all hogging the battery or anything like that.
Standby battery seems to be awful, even with stamina mode on blocking everything other than facebook messenger and gmail. It's losing 1% an hour, which doesn't sound bad, but my Galaxy Note 3 was draining 1% every three hours on both stock rom and Cyanogen 11. Moto G 2014 similarly does around 1% every 2-3 hours.
Standby for the most part should be represented by an almost perfectly straight line in battery stats, but on the Z3 its a constant curve downwards, much like the standby battery bug in the OnePlus One.
I'm in a full 4 bar LTE area as well, so it's not poor signal doing the damage.
The strangest of all, is the first day I had the phone it managed to get me through 2 full days easily. That included 8 hours of music streaming over bluetooth each day, and 4 hours screen time. Yesterday I was just over 3 hours screen time after 17 hours, and it was on 6% battery, including the 8 hours or so music streaming. That is exceptionally poor compared to both the Note 3 and Moto G.
But who knows, maybe disabling all the bloatware is causing issues. Either way I'll have a replacement device from amazon tomorrow which hopefully wont have the screen issues or bluetooth/wifi dropouts (thoguh I suspect that is software related).

I had z2 so will offer comparison on battery. It does last longer than z2 by approx 20-30%, on my usual usage with z2 I was at approx 15% remaining by end of the day, with the z3 I'm at about 35%ish.
Heavy use and relatively bright screen.

Z5 battery draining too fast - barely left with 15% with only 3h SOC

I got my Z5 this monday and the first day it worked like a charm. Then it started to drain the battery faster than usual, if I browse the web or reddit with the Reddit Now! app - my battery starts to drain about 2% every minute or so. I first checked if I had any sync issues but there was none then I started to delete all apps I did not need. Still the same issue. Today I barely used my phone, only 3 hours of SOC but it was not heavy usage. I only use WhatsApp, Reddit Now, Chrome and Snapchat(almost never) and today the only thing that should've had an impact on the battery was WhatsApp. Somehow the WiFi shows as "on" but I never use WiFi when at school - so basically everything between 08:00 and 16:00 was pure 4G.
I really love this phone, but the battery is not what they promised. And it gets really hot during normal use! Here is some pictures, hope you guys can help me figure this out...

Yeah, that is strange because my previous phone LG G3 had perfect network signal... I've heard from other Z5 users that the network signal is bad on the phones..
The battery is varying almost too much for my taste... However I have found one of the sources for the problem - Spotify is a huge battery drain, dropping almost 3% every minute and heats up the phone to the point of no touching...
Having Facebook notifications on also causes big drain

You're absolutely not alone.. I also have abysmal battery life on my Z5.
Here's my stats from yesterday (full day at work)
h ttp://imgur.com/VF2b45g (remove the space)
WiFi, 3hrs 20mins SoT.
Battery lasted pretty much exactly 12hours, thats pretty far from 2 days promised by Sony. My old Z3 didn't have me worry about my battery at the end of the day, I knew it would last..
(Yes i have bad reception at my job (I work in a TV studio) but again, my Z3c handled that like a champ.
I HATE myself so much for jumping the wagon early. I expected the same exceptional battery life as my old Z3, only in a shiny new package. To say im unimpressed and incredibly disappointed is an understatement of proportions.
I'm currently fighting for a full refund and cancellation of my subscription from my carrier. Considering a Oneplus2, despite it also running the 810, which many seem to point to as the culprit for our battery life.
You really should get a new Z5, then. I haven't encountered any of those issues, but regarding the battery, maybe a full cycle charge could improve some things. Aside from that, I reckon to install Clean Master, just to see which apps are running in background constantly so you can end them. Worst case scenario, perform a factory reset.
Uninstall anything you've installed and disable any system apps you will never ever want or need and run it for a couple days and see how it is. Then start installing the apps you want again

This is my 4th Z5 actually
They all had this battery problem, they've all been through at least one full cycle as well. Done factory resets, also reinstalled firmware from PC Companion. Tried WiFi ON, OFF, doesn't matter, when ever i turn the screen on i get massive drain upwards of 1% per minute/2minutes. Autobrightness (45/50%)
Today stats: h ttp://imgur.com/6K45leg (again remove the space , thanks Obama!)
Android system and Kernel are top users in battery. Screen is 3rd.....
Sure, 55% in 11 hours is pretty good, but not with a little under 2hrs SoT.... SONY IM DISAPPOINTED!!
1st: Camera button was dead on arrival
2nd: Wonky loose power button, ****ty battery
3rd: ****ty battery, Stamina mode didn't work
4th: Working okay, deep sleeps, but drains insane amounts when screen is on, doing nothing, browsing, reddit etc.
I assume you still have not solved your issue? I'm getting almost identical stats on my Z5 in GSam.

Sadly no.. I'm getting approx 2.5H of SOT... I've tried many things, nothing helps. And the battery usage still reports my WiFi being on even though I turn WiFi off and all background scanning.. I'm getting really annoyed that Sony pretty much lied to us about the battery.. But I feel like the problem lies with the constant WiFi on, even though it is off.

Yup I have similar problems as well. Wifi won't turn on, and getting about 2.5hrs SoT out of a 100% juiced battery.
Maybe you 2 should try a full reset and completely re set up from scratch?

The battery seems to have "settled". I use these " " because some days the battery drains faster than water in the desert, and some days it lasts pretty much more than 4H SOT. Maybe there is some software issue? Because my WiFi is on 24/7 even when I HAVE disabled it and disabled all related settings to WiFi...
I have the same issues with wifi reporting on in the battery stats even if I turn it off. It doesn't show on in GSAM battery monitor so not sure what that's about. It also consistently reports low signal on the battery page and on my notification bar, whereas my Z3 reported high signal in the same place. If I do a speed test on 4G the speed is about the same, so I think that might be an issue with the displaying of signal rather than it not picking up much signal. My battery life is "OK", in that it will last 24-28 hours usually. My Z3 was quite a lot better.
I seem to have crappy mobile connection too. I game, watch videos and so on and get excellent battery life
I got the app greenify it shuts down all the apps for you or u can get it to do so before putting phone back in pocket, it has helped as I'm the same, battery drains in 6 hours max...
Facebook and messenger seem to take a lot of battery , Iv had Windows and iPhone they don't drain like this... Must be android system

Not even Airplane Mode is enough to stop WiFi showing up on my battery usage stats. Turning off "Network notification" (Notify whenever a public network is available) under Advanced Wi-Fi seems to do the trick though.
The only other gap in Wi-Fi battery usage appear to be my commute to work in a car - no Wi-Fi on the motorway so the OS must be truly turning Wi-Fi off then too. Sitting in an office with who knows how many Wi-Fi signals about must be keeping it on (only when the aforementioned Network notification setting is on).
I don't have any particular battery issues - I get a full day no problem - but maybe this is the reason that Sony's claimed 2-day battery seems a fantasy to me...
Let's clear this up, Sony never promised 2 days battery life, they stated "UP TO" 2 days battery life. ahead signal is going to drain the battery fast, if your like me and live in a crossover point of towers the phone is probably constantly switching between them. On an old phone I sat and watched it switching towers. Anyway my battery drains reasonably fast and the phone wasn't going to sleep but it's started to now, and I'm getting battery life then my previous phone, so I'm still happy about it and I'm a pretty heavy user with games, browsing etc.

Severe Battery Issues... anyone else having this? (results inside)

So one night I left my phone off the charger at 40%... it was about 2am. I woke up at about 6am and the phone was completely dead. 4 hours of STANDBY drained 40%. So I thought I was just imagining things and compared my phone usage stats to my buddies who got the same phone at the same time. Here's a quick comparison... and mind you.. my numbers are after a FRESH factory reset with only stock app updates installed and maybe 2 or 3 of MY apps that I needed. I can't speak to what he's installed, but with these contrasts... I don't think it matters much.
Does anyone have some insight to this, similar experiences? I'm really thinking that I have a bad battery perhaps? I get usage varies by user but I really don't think this much especially considering that I intentionally let my phone just sit uncharged and unused for a good chunk of the day after it hit 100 and I pulled it from the charger.

Here's the Usage Stats from a *#*#4636#*#*.... nothing out of the ordinary
same carrier? Your signal may be horrid in comparison to his.
Could be location, could be carrier. Make sure to take a look. If your phone is struggling to keep a data connection you'll kill your battery easy.

Same carrier, we live down the street from each other. Signal strength according to the *#*#4636#*#* is -92dBm 48asu (whatever the asu part means)
Sorry I don't have anything to add but I had this plague in S7. My battery died very fast.
The S8 has been opposite for me. I was able to get 15 hours out of the battery using it all day (where 8 of it was in a really bad reception area).
I hope you get it sorted out. I could never figure it out with my S7. I did alot of research (all here)

I am planning on bringing it to the AT&T store and presenting my findings to them and demand a replacement. I know that I had no issue chatting AT&T support and getting a replacement but they say that since it's brand new, I need to get support from the AT&T store.

I don't know the battery life on mine is amazing 100% after 8hrs standby. and I was on my phone yesterday for 14hrs doing stuff and that brought me down to 5% from 100. I have most of the gestures and crap that drains the battery off though.
My point is if your not happy with your battery life there maybe something physically wrong with the battery or phone.
It's bound to happen a lot of people are buying these so not every phone is going to work as it should.

I agree completely that there is a battery issue. I've had a LOT of exposure to testing battery life, troubleshooting what impacts battery, etc... and I'm fairly confident there is some sort of battery issue. There are FAR too many people reporting stellar results for me not to as well. Even with how much I use use it, there was someone getting 40+ hours on battery... so I should be able to get 12 right after a factory reset... you'd think

Would love to know what his is. -92 isn't terrible but it's not great. You'd be amazed based on tower placement what even 50 feet can do, much less building materials, etc.
not saying this is for sure it, but i've been in this same situation with another carrier, was dead set it was the phone/battery and so were they, we tried 3 replacements before I gave up and determined it had to be a signal problem. Switched carriers and got the same exact phone, issue was gone.
Mine is exceptionally good. I get 0 to 1% drain overnight. My battery seems to last forever in the day. I don't think it's your signal. I have been in bad signal areas for long periods of time with this phone and no significant drain. I would definitely get a replacement and go from there. Good luck

cos i had Sync from old S6 Edge all the apps
I fresh install each App & that did help
No Issue on my S8+ till now :fingers-crossed:
Chk my Video in Signature
I had this problem, turned off location and always on display before heading to sleep, battery was at 96%. 9 hours later when I woke up, 93%. Before when I had both settings on, my phone dropped by 14 percent overnight. SOT is amazing so far, 2h 40 min at 74%. Will post pics when battery is almost dead.
P.S. - Compared to my Nexus 6 battery, I used to get 3 hours SOT before dying, looking good so far.
I went to the AT&T store and they hooked my phone up to a diagnostic machine and it said the charging system was defective. So new phone and fingers crossed.

Wasn't a rogue app, not after a factory reset. However the AT&T store validated there was a battery issue based on whatever test they used. Would like to get my hands on that testing app.....

Question Battery life since the last update

All was so good,
I was able to hold 2 days with my use (it was incredible, with my s10 I held 24h).
And, then, last update...
And now, in one night of sleep 25-30% of drain ??? Oo
What is that Samsung ? Are you aware like u destroy ur product with this... especially when you advertise about the terrific battery life of the s10 plus ?

I had my S10+ that ever had bad battery life, my s21+ looks like is much better, having 25% of drain in standby means there is an app that is causing that, when you talk about your last update, you should explain which version of firmware do you have now.
My T-Mo USA S21+ gets really great battery life. No change with the latest (AUAG) USA firmware. My S10 got very good battery life (24 Hrs +) but the S21+ (so far) gives me 2 days with MANY hours of screen on time.
Here's a partial dump of a discharge to 10%:
I'm using the exynos variant. I bought the phone on 13th Feb. The battery life is really realty bad for a 4800mah device. I was getting a expecting a decent battery life. But I'm getting like 4.5hrs SOT for 10.5 hours usage which is like half of what snapdragon verison is giving. This sucks. Should have waited for op9pro. Made a huge mistake.!!

Did you use it 60hz refresh rate ? This is insane battery life . I'm getting nowhere near this !!
I'm getting 2h SOT if I'm lucky, on AUB9.
Really wondering where those big differences between different users come from...

No, that is with Adaptive Motion Smoothness (120Hz) turned on.
I thought maybe my AOD was adding too much Screen On time, giving me a very misleading value, so in one of the tests I made i just played a few movies, and I still got hours and hours of battery life. I have no idea why there is such a variance.
Edit: So I thought of two things to mention. I run my screen brightness at about 35%. If you run yours much higher, that could effect your results significantly. If you use your phone outside a lot and it's set to automaticly adjust its brightness, that could set the screen brighness very high (for when you're outside). Also, I have bluetooth turned off.
2nd Edit: I ran another test last night and I'm surprised to report that there was no significant difference at full screen brightness versus my normal 35% brightness. I had Netflix playing for 3 hours at normal brightness followed by 3 hours at full brightness and the slope of the battery level curve is essentially the same. I'm at a lost to explain this as well as it's been my experience that screen brightness significantly affects power usage.
fwiw
My battery life seems okay but charging is very slow. I've never had so much trouble getting up to a full charge

I use it outside about 2 hrs a day. That too usage. Only for changing the song. Nothing more . I use dual sim .listen to music atleast 1 hour a day via Bluetooth. Even then what you are getting is truly amazing.

I did some tests the other night and much to my surprise turning up the screen from my usual 35% to full didn't make much of a difference.
I'm in the habit of using the "Close all" function in the recent apps screen almost all the time. Maybe that makes a difference?
I'm trying all the scenarios to reach that level of battery life but I go out for atleast 3 hrs a day. So I use my phone in mobile data as well. That also contribute. Yeah closing all applications all the time prevent unnecessary background process. That may actually help in apps like Twitter and Instagram.
Here is the latest I have managed . I removed one of the sim and used carefully . This is the best I have managed so far. But again, I use it outdoors with mobile internet for atleast an hour of screen time. 3 hours of outdoor usage . I'm still not sure if it's a good battery life but I will take it.
As a new S21+ owner I can say that I have had great battery life so far consistently getting 7.5-8 sot. This is with the latest march update.

Hi. Looking at your screenshot, it seems you are using an Indian variant. I do not want to get into specifics, but Indian networks are far more congested compared to other countries. So the modem has to work 4 times as hard compared to say the US. Also, dual sims nearly halve the standby time. So the usage you have is fine and I wouldnt worry too much about it.
Have anyone tried disable auto optimize app daily and disable adaptive battery.
Some say it really improve the battery on the previous samsung gen. I'm going to try it. And report to all of you guys.
Just came up to xda to search about anything related to battery and didn't find the solution yet.
Sometime I got a good battery like about 6 hours sot. The other day it just to bad only around 4 hours. It seems auto optimize overreacting to apps and make it closed and open daily causing a worst battery live. And the adaptive battery just seems not good at all in some report.
My best so far today, 10h of SoT doing mostly multimedia stuff. Exynos, 4G, 60Hz, April update. No power saving mode.
