Best Root Method? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
So I'm now a happy owner of the new Xperia Z5 (E6653) - Previoulsy i owned the Original Xperia Z!
I got this phone on a contract with EE, the phone is fully unlocked and bootloader unlock is allowed, so happy days, wasnt expecting it.
So, now i wanna root it (as you do), anyone know the best method for this?

Unlock your booloader and install custom kernel with recovery and then flash superSU.

Remember when you unlock bootloader you lose some DRM tech in sound and display

Question: Xperia Miro or Xperia J?

I will change the smartphone and I don't know wich choose, wich is better? Wich is cheaper? Which advise me? Why?.
Its many questions, but don't know wich to choose… oh and my budget is not very large

For comparison I use versusio.com almost always.
Here's a comparison link:

Now, about prices I do not know much as they might differ per country...
I wish you good luck on deciding your next phone.
Kind Regards,
Drago

Music app(Walkman) issue!

Hi people, I'm experiencing some issues with the music/Walkman app, I don't know if it's lollipop related cause I don't remember exactly when it started but it's there since the last updates
Whenever I use the search function ? I can't find the music, the files are there and they show up in the songs list but not when searched... It's bugging me a lot, any ideas solutions?
Thanks

Greetings to all in this wonderful and more complete group. For a few days in my Xperia Z3 after a full charge the mobile started to flash the screen, the mobile works completely without any problems, in any case I leave a video to see who can help me with the subject.

Greetings again, I have flashed by Flashtool the factory version of android 4.4.4 and nothing, I have mounted lollilop 5.1 and 6.0.1 and the problem persists .. What I find strange is that when I turn on the phone the fault does not appear , Only when I enter the android desktop ... I am thinking of unlocking the Bootloader because some suggest that it may be the Kernel ... Do you know anything about it ?.

Hi! The last chance is to flash a custom kernels for your model. If this won't help, then I have no idea how to fix it. Maybe it's hardware problem?
Well, in any case I appreciate your help and I hope some other member gives us a hand with this theme

Android 10 update

Just got this today. Anyone has updated to Android 10 for Xperia 1? Want to know how good this is. Thanks
Didn't notice any differences yet. BTW, it's a good idea to hide/remove some sensitive information from your screen capture.
Any camera improvements? Especially in low light and scenes with high contrasts? Would be great...

Pitch black is awful, dark grey is more pleasing

I think it is similar to pixel 4 colour scheme, maybe Sony just doesn't have their own color scheme.

Why don't you just install it using newflasher or flashtool?
Change it for NOBA and be happy!
Oh, and don't unlock your bootloader. (I saw several people make this mistake unknowingly)
Puta puta puta Sony I want my update 10

It's really simple man.
Download the firmware using Xperifirm (Customized NOBA), download newflasher, read the instructions (3 or 5 steps) and after that, repair the software using Xperia Companion.
If you need help, send me a PM.
Just update using Flashtool 0.9.28. It has XperiFirm integrated. Download firmware you want with XperiFirm and flash using Flashtool. No need to repair anithing. I changed region with Flashtool without any problems.
if this week these bums don't update i will do that

It's recommended to give 100% certainty about firmware stability.
