We are in quite a unique situation here. Our Optimus G phone screen cracked while abroad and it was a month before I received and changed the digitizer screen. Now everything works well but she changed her pin code before it broke and now can't remember it. Anyways, wifi is turned off, mobile data is turned off . The screen is locked out and can't connect to google account because of no data.
I have been trying for days to get it fixed without a hard reset. She has very important files on the phone that we need off. I attempted ADB but with usb debugging (probably) disabled it isn't listed under adb devices in cmd prompt.
Is there anything at all that I can try?
Thanks in advance
Did the PIN code get lost?

I have no idea, we've tried over a hundred pin codes and none have worked, is it possible she never made a pin code?
Anyways, we have sent the phone back to her family in Korea to try and get a service center to unlock it.
If she didn't make a PIN, why the heck is the PIN entry screen showing?

Hi,
I went abroad on vacation and turned off the data connection on my Nexus S (GT-i9023). While on vacation a friend figured out my pattern to unlock my phone. Because of that I changed the pattern and of course couldn't remember the new pattern which led to my phone getting locked. To unlock it I have to sign in to my Google account but like I wrote I turned of data connection before I went abroad so I can't log in to my Google acoount. =(
Is there a way to force activate data connection or WiFi without USB debugging enabled? If not, is there a way to force activate USB debugging and then force activate data connection or WiFi? If I can get either one of them working I guess I would be able to unlock the phone by entering my Google account information.
Is there another way of recovering my pictures and videos from the phone maybe? I really really would like to be able to save all pictures and videos that I took on my vacation up until I looked it out.
Please please help and thank you very much in advance!!
Is your phone rooted?
sent from my so icey ns4G
No it's not rooted.
Have you tried entering "null" without the quotes for your password?
Yes I have tried with null as password and with and without @gmail.com with my username.
I have tried to connect it with ADB but the device is not found. I don't think the USB-debugging is activated so I guess that's why I can't see it. Isn't there any tool to force activate USB-debugging or get around that somehow? Atleast then I would have a chance.
Please, any tips?
I also contacted Samsung support but the only answer i get from them is that i have to reset my phone or send it to them so they can reset it and I don't want to do that.
There must be a way? If I connect the usb-cable while in the boot menu I can see it in the device manager as "Android phone - Android ADB Interface". But if I type adb devices the "List of devices" ends up empty.
Is there really no way? I'm totally new to this but it doesn't make sense that there is no way what so ever to get a connection to the phone. Please help, I'll try anything.
My father in law recent had a cardiac arrest and is now in a coma. I was given his phone by the police and as expected it's got a lock screen requesting a PIN code. Multiple missed pin entries do not bring up a reset with his google account. I'd strongly prefer not to do a hard reset as to avoid deleting any important or sentimental data. I've done a bunch of reading to see how to unlock the phone that involve CWM amongst other methods but the phone is neither rooted nor has USB debugging enabled which seems to make all the methods I've found unhelpful. The phone also does not have data nor Wifi enabled which makes things worse.
Can anyone point me to a method that would not require USB debugging to be turned on? If the data is permanently locked, is there a way to at least back it up?
Thanks in advance for any help

I think the best bet be to take your phone to a samsung service centre and explain to them what happened.Maybe they have some trick up their sleeve.
Hi, a family member passed away a few months ago and I was given her phone by her sister to use if I wanted. She had the phone and charger, and thats it. I stay in the UK and the phone I use is on O2. The phone she had was the Experian L but she had her phone through a contract with virgin media.
When I initally put my sim card in and turned the phone on it said 'virgin media, this phone has been reported lost/stolen'. In order to unclock it from this security lock I needed her insurance company(through virgin) to provide me with a 4 digit pin to unlock the phone. This was very hard to get as the insurance people are different from virgin media, but after a while they agreed to give me the code if I sent a copy of her death certificate in. I did this and got the code thankfully. I was told that I wouldnt be able to use my o2 simc ard in the phone because the handset was locked on Virgin. I was told if I paid £15 I would receive the unlocking code through the post in a week or so.
I did this and got a letter through the door with the instruction on for to unlock the handset. Basically its a 16digit number that I enter and the phone become unlocked. However, after all this Ive just realised I think there is a phone lock on the phone i.e. a pin she must have set herself? I think this because when I power the phone up without a sim, all I can see is the date/time, with her name underneath, and also underneath that is a keypad. When you press any button on the keypad and hit enter it says wrong pin? That happens without a sim card so I presume it is a phone pin lock she had on her phone is that correct? If so, is there any way around this? Ideally I would like to keep whatever pictures etc are on the phone however I realise that might not be possible. Ive tried to download the sony suite however it wont allow me to use the suite because it tells me on the computer I must enter the pin on the phone to continue! bit of a nightmare to be honest.
Any help/suggestions with what I can do? Many thanks
I cant unlock through Pc Companion because Pc Companion needs the screen to be unlocked before it connects the device, and I cant do that.
factory reset
Hello, do a factory reset to the Phone, but you will loose all the information on it
Hello, few days ago my phone's screen stopped working. So I cannot access my phone since its locked behind pattern lock. I tried with ADB but I keep getting ADB Device Unauthorized and I don't know how to fix that.
As far as I know I believe USB Debugging is enabled. I tried a lot of ways with useless one click apps, mirror screen apps but nothing work as I need to unlock phone to give permission to the computer to communicate with the phone, but I cannot do that since the device screen doesn't work and I cannot see anything. I have an OTG cable and tried to unlock with mouse but its easier said than done.
Can someone give me any tutorials.
It requires a couple of your phones internal software switches to be set in order to access your phone via the USB interface. If you have not already set these switches before the screen got broken you may be out of luck.
So basically I have a Stock Sony Xperia Z3 Docomo variant (if I recall correctly it was D6653) that I used all the way from 2017, until I had to let it rest in 2020 because the screen was broken (although at that time before the screen went completely messed up, I managed to enable USB debugging in order to mirror the screen on my laptop with scrcpy so I can use it). It's just laying down on my desk cabinet for two years. Until finally I got a chance to replace the screen, the battery and the back cover earlier this weekend. Problem is, I already forgot the pattern to unlock it. Not even my brother (who used it sometimes to game back then) remember the pattern. Worse part is some of the SIM card, even when it does have data plan (I just simply put the SIM from my other phone), the phone is just going to show as full bar Roaming (R) and no internet at all so this phone completely have no network (although I do also have suspicion that data connection is probably disabled), and obviously that means I can't use google account to unlock it
Wanted to use TWRP or Aroma File Manager to delete the pattern lock file, but then I realized I have to flash this thing, and even if I do now understand how to install TWRP on my Z3 model because I already read various tutorial on this forum since Saturday, the problem is that OEM unlock isn't even enabled simply because at the time it was still a bit functional, I don't see it as something I need as I don't root any phone that I use. And as additional note, as time goes on obviously all of the laptop at home had gone many clean reinstall, which means no ADB key backup, and I can't authorize because pattern lock
Is there hope left, or this phone is completely locked?
(TLDR: Phone locked because I forgot lock pattern, no Internet, data stuck at R, no connection so I can't recover with google account, USB Debugging on but not OEM unlock)
