LG V10 OEM Wireless Charging Back in today..............A few pictures. - LG V10 Accessories

Got in the LG OEM wireless charging back today for the V10. It is of very nice quality and maybe only a hair thicker then stock back, very hard to tell. I don't think there will be any problem fitting into standard cases.
I got it for the everyday low price of $79.00 plus shipping from Amazon.
Only has LG and not V10 on the back corner.
I've add a few pictures showing it side by side with the stock back.

Very cool but also a bit pricey but it's LG oem so your gonna pay a bit more bought a cheap back cover from china with wireless charging that works well only paid about 15 bucks it has a leather back and the fit isn't quite as good as the stock back if you have the money I would definitely get the one you picked

I've used both Yootech and OEM. OEM charges quite a bit quicker and with less heat.

Thanks to the OP's for the information and photo's.
It isn't going to be much different in the quality of the charging, the only different is the built quality, the QI and PMA circuit (PCB) is in the phone, the back cover only contains the coil to complete the wireless charging part.
The current coil use for both the OEM and third party is a flexi coil, isn't the best, it's used because it's thin, I'm going to mod mine when I get the V10 within the week, and put a proper copper strand wire coil, has better detection, less heat and less transmission loss.
I have a few types of coils made especially for wireless charging, and will post back.

you can just buy the Qi receiver sticker for less than $10 and apply yourself.. why would anyone buy this for that price?

That doesn't make sense, the charging hardware is already built into the v10, 3rd party including OEM is just a coil and connection to the pins. Which should not make a difference in charging speed or heat. Only thing that might affect that is placement and alignment of the back of your v10 to the charging pad..
What are you using to determine charging speed and heat?
EDIT: Attached is my Brown Leather Back with NFC/Qi sticker. (btw is that the British way of spelling chargeing?) I've also ordered NeWisdom's sticker, will review once I get it in and on.

Where did you get the leather charging back from? Is it much thicker then the stock back? Please let me know how the NeWisdom sticker works out. Was going to order one also.

You are correct to a certain point, both OEM and third party uses a flexi coil with a flexi magnet, the quality of these also determine the detection and aligment.

There on eBay just search connection station on eBay around $15 four different colors there slightly thicker than the stock back you can tell the difference by the volume buttons but not too bad a fit though

I just received my leather back with wireless charging from eBay today and it's not charging at all, is there some setting I need to turn on? I'm using an official Samsung qi charger btw.

There are no special settings that I'm aware of.

I'm fairly irritated at LG for the glacial speed at which they're releasing official accessories for the v10 . . .
Now that that's out of the way, I bought this: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B017R40JRA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
It's already unavailable (which isn't terribly surprising). It is just a little too thick, which pops the case up a bit over my power/volume buttons (so they're annoying to use). Also, it's pretty much stopped working. I might try to realign the thing, but it worked fine for both NFC and Qi (TYLE Vu) for the first week or so. Now it doesn't reliably charge (though NFC continues to function).
All-in-all, I'd rather pay for an OEM cover, where I SHOULD have to worry less about alignment and having a poor fit.
I'm curious about the NeWisdom though . . .

I liked the wireless charging on my nexus 6 so when i bought the V10 i had to get wireless charging working on it so i bought the leather qi/nfc back for $15 of eBay (connection station) and it works very well with the Anker qi little disc charger i bought off Amazon but the leather back doesn't fit exactly as good as the stock back there's that little gap by the volume buttons you described but worth it to have the wireless charging working

Yeah, I'm going to give it a few weeks--hopefully the stock one will come out (a more reasonable price would be nice too), or someone will come up with a back cover that's a better fit. A guy can dream, right?

GSM and the fact that it literally takes twice as long with the Yootech. So a watch is what I'm using to determine the speed. It can and does make sense as it depends on the conduction of the materials used. If yootech uses different metal composition in the coil then it gives off more heat energy and doesn't charge as fast. Welcome to physics.

That looks pretty nice. Check out my cart here, you can see all my goodies. I'm going with an off brand Spigen clone because I like to use my phone wile it's on the dock and this one looks more stable for that.
I am planning to go with the Yootech back cover. Hopefully it's wont cause the phone to get warm like some others seem to be saying...

For the OEM back, is it able to trickle charge at 100%? On my Nexus 5 at 100% it would just trickle charge and stay connected and cool while keeping the battery full. With my qi leather back I got, it hits 100 disconnects and then reconnects in an endless cycle randomly waking my phone up and keeping it warm. Sometimes my Tylt clone will just shut off completely from the cycling which isn't conducive to having a topped off phone for overnight charging.

Good case that works with wireless charging back?

Just got the Samsung wireless charging cover and it works great, however my beloved Spigen case no longer fits. Wondering if anyone has any good case recommendations that fit over the wireless charging back.
Thanks,

Most TPU based cases work well like cruzerlite or diztronic work well
Anyone have a link to a genuine seller of the TPU cases?

For tpu cases try Cruzerlite: http://www.cruzerlite.com/cases/samsung/galaxy-s-iv They come in a variety of styles and colors plus their TPU cases work with wireless charging backs. Hope this helps.
Still searching, cases don't fit or are extremely too tight and I'm afraid that it will hurt the phone longterm
Rocking the Roocase bumper which was a little tight but not insane and has finally adjusted, would like something high end while offering a little more protection
Does anyone know if the Spigen cases would work? They say TPU, so I'm wondering if they would fit?

I just received my wireless charging cover yesterday.
Ran into the same fit or in this case, not fit issue with my BodyGlove Nova cover. It appears that the wireless charging cover is 1 - 3 mm thicker than the original cover.
I called BodyGlove and they we rather adamant that they WOULD NOT EVER design a case for anything other than a device with the original cover. They will not design a case for a device with en extended battery or wireless cover.
I got on chat with Samsung and they indicated that the NFC cover is the same thickness as the original cover and that standard cases would work. Unfortunately, the NFC cover is not available in the US.
I got back on chat with Samsung and they indicated that the standard Case Plus (S 8878121) would work with the wireless cover. I went out to BestBuy and picked one of the Cover Plus'. Will report back how it works out.
I do think that I might be able to mill down the BodyGlove case internal surface enough so that it will fit the phone with the wireless charging cover. My neighbor has a precision mill that he uses for his home business. He makes specialize, custom parts (Plastic!) for the oil field industry. Will give that a chat and see how it works out.

The OEM Samsung cover will not work with charging back. There is already thread on this with many posts and pictures. etc. The Cruzerlite TPU cases works with my S4 and wireless charging back. 9 bucks at Amazon.
Save yourself some $$$ I have the OEM wireless back and this receiver pad. The receiver pad works very well and works with the normal back allowing for use with OEM cases.

If the Spigen Neo Hybrid is your thing, it fits with the wireless charging cover. It creates a slightly raised area on the back, but I actually prefer it. I wanted to get the aftermarket wireless receiver posted above, but there wasn't a consensus as to whether or not it was slower to charge. Although, so far it's taking the OEM base and cover around 3 1/2 hours from ~15% to fully charge the battery - that's not exactly great.

Do you know if this will work with the Samsung Wireless Charging Pad?
There is a big difference besides heat between the wireless receiver pads that fit inside the stock cover, versus the samsung wireless charging back.
From the three receivers I have tested all with varying heat levels and different issues with NFC is the charging behavior once it reaches 100%.
With the wireless back cover, once it reaches 100%, nothing happens. It stays off and keeps the charge at 100%. With the wireless receivers, once they reach 100%, the charging stops. Then a 2-5 minutes later, the phone turns on again as it reaches 99% and starts charging. This cycle continues on and on and from testing overnight most of the heat seems to be generated from this. Have to turn the volume down on the phone otherwise it is beeping everytime it recharges, 15-20 times an hour.
Not a lot of fun when using the wireless charging over night near the bed. Between the beeping and the screen turning on and lighting up the room anywhere from 2-4 hours after putting it down, it can start to drive you crazy. If you turn the volume down and have a full flip cover, then I guess that will allow you to sleep tight.
This does not happen with the samsung wireless charging back. The phone notifies you it is wireless charging when you place it on the pad the first time and that is it. When you wake up, it is at 100% and is cool to the touch every time.
I have tried 3 different recommended receivers from the other giant thread and besides dealing with positioning, heat, etc.. the biggest pain in the butt was this on/off on/off behavior. Total deal killer.
Cases that fit?
Forget the cruzerlite androidified. Total garbage. I tried it on stock cover and it was loose and flimsy, with the wireless charging cover it is still loose. The sides come off from the slightest touch. The cutouts for the buttons I think is what makes the case so weak and loose. The plastic along the cutouts catches on everything and is super flimsy.
I also tried the TUDIA slim melody and that actually fit nicely, much better than cruzerlite.
Ordered 2 other TPU type cases and will update with pics and vid of all of them hopefully early next week.

Wow, these are great points. I didn't think about the whole on/off thing. Crap.
Another question, what's the best wireless charging base? I'd prefer one that used a micro-USB for power as the Verizon pad does not.

Yeah I guess I am unusual in that I do not charge my phone by the bed or even in the bedroom. My lg charging pad is on my home office desk. I have noticed a little more heat from the receiver pad but nothing bad.
I also have the Samsung charging back which is great but it makes the phone too big and heavy. I use it if I am staying inside but replace the back if I am going out...or I used to until getting the receiver pad which allows a regular case.
I have the cruzerlite tpu case and it is fine for when I am using charging back. I also have the Roos bumper which works but I did not like the back being bare.
The easiest solution is the receiver pad which works with any Qi charging pad and allows for using regular cases all for $10. If you charge the phone by the bed at night, just plug in your USB charger. The value of wireless charging is when you are using the phone during day and do not want to plug in each time you lay the phone down or talk with a wire attached to your phone. My opinion.

This is a really good point. I noticed that my "excitement" of going with wireless charging was really more than what reality was. Is it really that inconvenient to plug the phone into a charger? No, it is not. The main thing would be when you are often using your phone such as during the day at work or at home. Using the phone with the cable plugged in is a hassle.
Honestly, I can go all day without charging my phone. I leave home around 6:30 am and the phone is anywhere from 50 to 25% when I go to bed around 10-11pm. Depends on how much I use it, and in reality, I don't use it too heavily. Weekends are a different monster where I have more time to play games or watch videos and often have to charge it. Having the wireless charging pad downstairs also is nice as I can put it on the table next to the sofa and watch TV while it is charging and pick it up when I want.
Is there a need to wireless charge at night? Absolutely not. If the 3rd party receiver allows you to use the cover you prefer (I prefer a S View type that is a case, not just a back cover) then having a charging pad around for convenience especially during the day is a good thing. No need to use wireless charging at night.
Have gave it some thought over the past day and now am considering a dock/speaker type stand that I used to have for my iphone. It was nice to use it as an alarm clock and listen to audio books while in bed. This will also effect my choice of case also, as the s view flip cover won't be ideal for that at all... oh well.
I can also confirm that the Neo-Hybrid Spigen case works with the Samsung wireless charging back.
However, if you are using the tetrax car mount solution with the Spigen Case.... you may want to take the case off prior to wireless charging as the magnet needed to hold up the phone to the mount will get EXTREMELY hot and not sure how that affected my wireless charging case ><;;;; however, it WILL still work even with that magnet bulge on if you really are too lazy to take it off... from what I can tell, not sure if that magnet really messed up my samsung wireless back... but the battery doesnt really charge if the screen is on... I will test again later.... I hate not having the screen on if the phone is charging ><
Then the question becomes why even get the wireless charging solution if you have to take the case off..... because I can =)
Update: Will be ordering a iOttie HLCRIO104 and fix the tetrax magnet to it that way I dont have to remove case every time for the magnet. Will respond with my fix

Case Compatable with Samsung Qi Charging Back?

I ordered the Samsung back with the built in Qi charger. Before the vendor let me order it, they emailed me the following:
Please note that using this back cover will slightly change the dimension/ size of the phone and any case you may have on your Note 4 will no longer fit the device. Unfortunately, we do not have cases that are compatible with this battery charging back.

You might be able to stretch some TPU cases and force them on, but at this time there aren't any cases made to specifically fit with the OEM wireless charging back.
It took several months for the Galaxy S5 to get any cases specifically made for the wireless charging back, so I'm not anticipating one for the Note 4 in the near future. I'd love to see a manufacturer step up though. Diztronic did with the S5, but they have yet to even release a standard case for the Note 4.

My friends have similar receiver stickers in their Samsung phones (Note 3, 2x S5s) and the sticker interferes with NFC, they were unable to use Android Beam or Softcard/Google Wallet until they removed the sticker (those features worked intermittently).
For this reason, I'll personally wait until a case that fits the official Samsung wireless charging cover comes out.

This particular sticker has NFC support in it supposedly. It also has connectors to support sleep function in sview cases. We'll see.

I wonder if it's thin enough to not bulge the back cover. Bulged covers look so ugly.

Amazon now has this sticker in stock with Prime shipping: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I had it shipped overnight ($3.99 with Prime) and got it this morning. Here's what I found:
1. It's not 0.6mm, but 1.5mm thick (I measured it with a caliper). It bulges the battery cover in an ugly way. My Spigen case does not fit properly anymore.
2. It charges much more slowly than the official Samsung wireless charging back, which I also have (tested with a Tylt Vu desktop charger).
3. It makes battery swapping impossible as it has to be attached to the battery.
4. No "NFC support." Even though it has five pins, only two of them (second from top and the upper single one) are actually connected to the circuit, I checked with a multimeter. There is only a single coil/antenna, so there is definitely no "NFC support" of any kind, unlike the official Samsung cover which actually has two coils/antennas - one for charging and a second for NFC, since the original NFC antenna in the battery is blocked by the Qi antenna.
Sending it back, it's crap.

I'm confused. Yesterday you posted you were going to wait for a case to fit the official charging back; today you are posting a review of a sticker that took over 2 weeks to arrive from China.

Mine arrived from China today. Seems like a different item than you got. Very little if any bulge. Case fits fine. NFC working fine. Phone gets surprisingly warm during charging. No problem connecting to my iAnker charging pads. Too soon to comment on charging speed. It doesn't exactly match the picture, doesn't have the indicated contacts for sview sleep function.
I'll get a picture and try to find my calipers in a bit.

I just received the OEM Samsung Qi back and indeed none of the case I tried seem to fit correctly just as I was forewarned. The Samsung OEM cover will fit, but the buttons are a bit off so it is too annoying to use. I'll just have to keep my eye out for a Qi compatible cover.

I think the relative positions of the receiver and the coil have something to do with heat issues. I also have a sticker from China. I noticed that charging the phone on Tylt Vu keeps the battery hot all night (this can't be good for longevity). But, if I set the phone upside down, it only heats up during actual charging. Itian charger also stops heating after the phone reaches 100.

Qi+NFC+AT&T G3, no hardware hacking.

Greetings!
Like many of you (or so I've read) I was on the hunt for some way to get my AT&T G3 to support Qi charging. It all seemed hopeless. I believe I have solved the problem with the least amount of 'hassle' and the least amount of loss of functionality of the phone as possible (its cheap too!). You also don't even need to open your phone up.
I have Qi chargers all over the place already from my last phone, so Qi was crucial to adopting the G3 and not swapping it for something else (AT&T had a great deal and it was free on a new phone line).
I found a gadget that basically has 1 downside, that being, that it consumes your USB port. For me that's not a huge deal because I never plug my phone into anything other than a charger, and with Qi, no need. I've seen people talk about it on here before, but couldn't find any cases where someone bought one.
( sorry, I don't post enough, can't do posts with links )
The device is here: Search on Amazon for B00H7FJX7M
$9.96 at the moment.
HOWEVER, there is a BIG DOWNSIDE at first! If you put the Qi receiver inside your phone behind the outer shell, the existing NFC antenna squashes the signal and it won't charge.
I have a Spigen case for the G3 like my Nexus5 (great cases IMHO), so I said "well what if I just leave the cover off", so I did, and put the Spigen case back on. It worked. At first I was going to leave it, since it still fit fine in the case like that. I thought more about it though and realized dust and other badness would get into the phone if I did that.
So I wondered if I just put the wireless antenna OUTSIDE of the phone, so between the Spigen case and the phone itself, run the USB cable down to the USB port, tape it in place so it doesn't move around...
It totally worked. So no need to even open the phone. Just plug this thing into the USB port, line it up well inside the back of a case/cover, tape it down with some heat resistant tape, and put your case on.
With the Spigen case you can barely even see it, and it certainly does not protrude beyond the border of the case. Even without the Spigen case on with this thing, the extra plastic sticking out is very minimal and hardly noticeable.
I was pretty happy with this at that point, and left it alone.. But then I wondered, does NFC still work? Its being blocked now by the Qi module, AND the Spigen case.. I wonder...
NFC works fine still too.
Cost:
$10 for the module
$20 for the Spigen case
0% hardware modification
Loss of functionality:
- Requires a case, so added weight/bulk
- USB port is not usable for anything else, though can be pulled out relatively easily when necessary without taking anything apart.
Sorry for the length, I tend to be a windbag.
( sorry, I don't post enough, can't do posts with links )

My PMA coil works just fine with my d850. I bought my coil for 20$ and installed it on backplate.... I need my USB port. Seen this the other day. Att shiykd have used qi to begin with.

Sadly moving to PMA wasn't an option for me simply because I have other Qi devices still, and didn't want to spend the money on a bunch of new chargers.
Just figured I would share what i found in case someone else or there was in a similar situation as me and didn't mind the loss of the usb port (though again, it's pretty easy to unplug temporarily).
Good find I forgot to share what you found... YouTube has a video ,Android authority I think k did one

Have you done tests to see how fast it charges? I already have a module that I used with my moto x before but never used it with the g3. I remembered it took forever with the moto x and that had a smaller battery.

Indeed I have done testing, but not "scientific testing", more "real world" testing (basically I've been using it for 2 days ).
So far, the rate that it charges seems pretty close to what I've grown to expect from the Nexus 5. Hard to say how fast it goes from 0% to 100%, as I rarely if ever have my phone go below 40% (since I have a Qi charger almost everywhere I go, even in the car).
So far though, if at 100% and put on the charger, it stays at 100% with the screen off, if a GPU intensive DayDream is running with the screen on, the battery does drain a bit but at a very slow rate (perhaps 2-3% per hour).
Last night I put it on the charger at around 70% battery, and it was 100% in under an hour, which is about what I see with my Nexus 5 as well.
Hmm I don't really use nfc... Is there any issues fit issues with installing this inside the battery door? Or does it not charge even if nfc is off?

Installing it inside will and probably still add a slight bulge. These wireless chips are not paper thin. You have coils and ribbons so it will be thick.

Actually this particular wireless antenna is very thin and fits just fine behind the battery door, the problem is the NFC antenna actually keeps the wireless charging antenna from even working, so when you put it inside the battery door on an AT&T G3, it simply won't charge due to the NFC antenna causing interference.
Hey thanks! so it must be outside the case then. I read in the Amazon reviews that this receiver only charges at 500 mah, and some phones will interpret this as USB charging and charge slower. How do you find the charging speed?

Not for the D850 or D852. It's hardware based so it has to be PMA.

No sadly the d850 uses the PMA technology which I have no idea why.. It sucks because the PMA coil makes a bulge when installed and its hard to get it right... I have a back plate with it but barely use it. My extended mugen battery does the trick.

We have a special PMA OEM case. We also have these stickers for the DIYers, but they'll leave a slight bulge on the battery cover.
At least the official LG cases are coming down in price. They cost $20 to $30 more two weeks ago when I bought my G3.
I just wish I could find an extended battery case with a quick circle window. I didn't think that would be a hard-to-find product, but it is....
I have two Qi chargers and I really don't want to buy a Powermat - So I will probably give this a try. However before I do, I have a question
- Did LG make a hardware change to disable "Qi" and enable "PMA" or this is just a firmware thing? To elaborate is it possible to flash Tmobile firmware and get Tmobile Qi back cover make "Qi" work?

This falls on the Hardware side. No firmware will enable Qi. We are stuck with PMA
Just bought from eBay for 3.45 USD http://www.ebay.com/itm/161689530982. Lets hope it works
It works but charges really slow. If anyone over 20 reps wants it - I will ship it for free - gift to XDA

It might not....the LG PMA case was around $50 iirc. It's only $30 now. Might be a different product or they're out of our PMA cases. Just get a sticker if you really need PMA. Personally, I'm a bit worried about it frying my phone (had a really unlucky past year with electronics being fried).
I really starting to think to do what you have done

NFC / Qi Wireless Charging Battery Leather Door Back Cover Case in BROWN

I just received mine and popped it on instantly.
Guys / gals, this is by far the best presentation I have ever seen in a case/back cover. Way better than OEM IMHO.
It's real leather (smells like a new car with leather interior), cut is fantastic, quality is amazing. I put it on and popped on to my CHOEtech 3coil Qi wireless charging stand and it starting charging instantly, no worries about placement or finding the sweet spot.
The packaging it came in is like a compressed cardboard or particle wood casing you'd keep cigars in. I got the BROWN one.

Hey would you or anyone else have a TYLT VU Charger ? I bought one Amazon when they were on sale but I also have 2 cheaper knockoffs Itian's. All 3 are working for me I picked up the Black Leather Back. But on the TYLT I have issue where the phone will connect to Wireless charging and then disconnect it might do this up to 3 times or 2x and once the screen turns off it will be connected and can tell by the Green Light. The Itian's just plan connect and don't have this issue. I also have a Nexus 6 and it connects with the TYLT just fine without that issue.
Not sure if's really a issue will give it time since I just got the Leather Back today will see how it perform's.
Well now looks like my Itian's are having the same issue but now it won't even connect the light will just Flash from Red to Blue no stop.
Does this feel "soft"?
Current price is 10.49 without wireless charging. How much was it for the wireless charging version? They are currently out of stock so cant see pricing for that option.

I paid $16 on eBay from a US seller. It does have a nice feel to it but really don't matter to me since mine will be a case 99% of the time. I decided for $16 why not since the sticker along is $10-$15.
FWIW, I too bought the $16 eBay back, and was just refunded by the seller today. It has connect/disconnect issues, and heats my phone up way too hot. Seller claims he is removing them for sale, and sending the batch back to distributor. FYI for anyone considering this product t.

I bought the same, paid $14, mine does not have the issues you mentioned. I use a ChoeTech 3coil stand. It is warm while charging until full, like all my Qi devices..
I've had the case for a bit over a month now, ordered the white to match my phone.
The good is that the color matches well, apart from the lines you can see where the leather is applied, it pairs nicely with the phone. The wireless charging works great, and it has a generous amount of wiggle room when placing it on a qi charger compared to my old S6 which was tricky to place just right. It also feels very nice in the hand compared to the textured back, and is much more grippy surprisingly, especially when the phone gets a bit warm, getting your hand a little sweaty.
The bad parts are that it is noticeably thicker than the OEM cover, and you can feel it when you place your finger on the power button to unlock it. The other part would be more likely my fault, since I choose white, but it gets very dirty and it can be tedious having to take it off every so often to clean it. The third and last part, three clips on my case have already broken. They are on both sides, near the bottom. Most likely from constantly taking it off to change batteries, and cleaning it every few days.
I got one white leather and 2 plastic one's, I have stopped using it as some members said they had their phone wireless feature dead after a few weeks, has anyone had this problem.
I got the same case in black from Amazon for $18. It came in the same package and box. The material was fake PU leather. Returned it
They must be taking a loss or something. They're now going for $25 without the charger (still not available)

[Wireless Charging] Anybody Have Experience With The NeWisdom Qi Sticker?

This wireless charger is one of today's deals on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Wireless-PowerPort-Charging-Qi-Enabled/dp/B00Y839YMU/ref=dp_ob_title_wld
I've heard a pretty substantial amount of good reviews for this charger, so I'm thinking of picking it up since it's only $15. I was also looking into getting an OEM LG wireless charging back, but I'm not willing to pay $50+ for it. Ran across the NeWisdom Qi sticker and it seems to have mixed reviews: http://www.amazon.com/NeWisdom-Wire...sr=8-1&keywords=lg+v10+wireless+charging+chip
Was wondering if anybody has had experience with the NeWisdom Qi sticker. Any overheating? Went bad after a while? Ect.

So i bought the new Wisdom sticker off Amazon. I'll say this--i used a hair dryer as the instruction indicates--and peeled the original NFC only sticker off (or so i thought) and applied the new wisdom. It would register like it was charging but not actually charge as dr_w indicates above.
HOWEVER...frustrated i looked at a couple videos and noticed that the battery doors with the sticker fully removed didn't look like mine. With an exacto knife i picked at the remaining black area only to find there was still copper wire underneath. In effect the original NFC sticker had multiple layers and i'd only peeled off the top. Getting ALL of it up was a challenge...like a real challenge...it did not peel off i had to scrape with a knife for an extended period of time.
At the end of the day though once i had the original sticker all the way off i reapplied the New Wisdom Sticker (which surprisingly survived multiple attempts at reapplying without ill effect). Then setting it on my Spigen charger stand and running the Ampere app i was amazed at how well it was charging. It actually was over 1000ma at one point and after finding it's range (it starts low and builds) it averaged at about 800ma. That was decent enough to charge my phone pretty quick. For reference fast charging is like 1350--1500ma or so. In comparison the Monroy wireless back i bought from Amazon that already had a sticker applied (presumably NOT New Wisdom) typically does maybe 350-500ma.
So the bottom line is it was WAY more of a pain than i anticipated but now i'm stoked and actually rather impressed with the performance.
LEt us know if its consistent. I've had a very similar experience before it began discharging at a rapid rate. Thanks for the post, I'll keep checking back.
Originally had a cheap sticker off eBay that lasted several months, about 3,then the chip in the phone caved out. Got the newisdom the other day and got a Tylt charger to go with 2 Samsung fast chargers and no issues so far. The constant lighting up the phone when it's charged is annoying and the g4 tweaksbox doesn't seem to fix it.
I'm using the OEM LG wireless back and it's quite nice. Feels exactly like the original and fits very flush, no problems with wireless detection on my TYLT charger. I'm actually surprised at how little the back weighs as my understanding is the copper coils should add some noticeable weight but in this case it doesn't. Maybe not that much copper in these OEM backs?
Just ordered an OEM wireless charging back for my V10 (a seller on Amazon has it for $29.99 atm though no prime shipping with the fastest option being expedited shipping) and due to the price, I'd imagine it already being sold out by the time this post is read. I didn't want to get the third party stickers as I want to keep my current back and the third party plastic backs are pretty horrible in terms of feel and fit.
Anyways, what do you guys recommend for a good wireless charging pad? The official Samsung pads look interesting enough as is and I've seen it work with every device with Qi built in or using one of those plug-in Qi pads you place inside a case before the phone though I'm gonna have to wait til my next paycheck to get a pad: already spend a good chunk of cash on an MSI RX 480 and only bought this back due to the steal of a price at $29.99, $36 with expedited shipping. It was that or go with prime and spend $60 on a back
Finally received my OEM wireless back. As expected, the battery door feels exactly like the original back albeit curves near the button cutout due to the extra elevation it adds. Also makes cases a tighter fit if you're concerned about compatibility. Works on my Yootech wireless charger as well as a friend's Samsung wireless charger and Tylt Vu 3, the last two having the best range in terms of surface since the Yootech seems to only have one coil. As for charging, going from 0-100% took about 2-3 hours and the phone got pretty warm too though just a smidgen cooler than it gets when quick charging via cable. The packaging DOES have the description for what would've been a wireless charging variant of the Quickview cover which would attach as a battery door too but I guess that didn't work after all the hullabaloo about the faulty Qi chip. Sucks that the LG logo simply takes place of the rather sexy V10 logo
Either way, I'd recommend getting an OEM back when you can though might wanna wait. Some listing still sell it for $60 a pop and even $100
