Next nexus device is from sony ???

Hi
here are my toughts about the next nexus device
isn't it weird google is naming there store play and there where some rumors that Android 5.0 will be gaming optimized.
so i think the next nexus device is a Playstation i have seen a pattern in the realeses of Playstations and if the will hold the pattern this year there will be a new release
Playstation:1994
Playstation 2 : 2000
playstation 3 :2006
Playstation Nexus ; 2012?!
but if it isn't going to be a nexus it still is a nice idea the google tv experience with the gaming of a playstation. PSN is crashing to much and what if the make it and say all the games you buy for the Playstation you will automaticly get a mobile version of the game for on the go.
it is even logic;
Microsoft has a desktop, gaming and mobile os
Apple has a Desktop Tv and mobile os
Google can get desktop gaming mobile and tv os
WARNING: THIS IS JUST A WILD GUESS OF ME I CAN BE TOTALLY WRONG

Dood ...... no offence but did you use your own crystal ball to work all this out, or did you just go direct to the font of all knowledge and channel Steve Jobs and ask his opinion. (jking)
I believe HTC went for the channelling option when then need advice specing the new range of handsets ....... so you would have company on the astral plane.
Do you have any actual evidence ........ even spurious or circumstantial to support this idea??
Don't get me wrong am loving the crazed geek commitment thats obviously at the heart of this idea
........ But your BAT**** bro!!!
Be honest are you a Sony fan boy who's expressing a fervent wish????
To be honest, the first thing that came to my mine when I read "Google Play" was the Xperia Play

no fanboy or something maybe my idea's are a bit crazy but think about the idea it would be the best device ever and the pattern every 6 years a new playstation. and i think HTC again for a nexus device let LG/Sony/Motorola once time make it ... ( and maybe i am just stoned)
Sony just released a new psp, I doubt this would ever happen. There is a chance we will see a new playstation console soon but that has nothing to do with android.

You can pretty much guarantee that it won't be a Playstation branded device. Nexus devices are always about the pure-Android ICS: no branding, no themeing, no crap-ware.
This forum needs a facepalm emoticon.
thats so funny !
i dont think so never happen!
Nope, I believe that google will choose Motorola, as they now own most of the phone part

As much as I love Sony, Nexus is a device wich is vanilla Android. Nothing from Sony thing.

OUYA ..A new kind of Video Game based on android

Has anyone heard about this ...?? A group of people have started the project and also developed the prototype of a new kind of video game which is based on android open source.... It comes with a controller and can be hooked up to a TV. As its open source ...developers can program and make new games....And hackers can even MOD it..

Watch the video....
Looks great. But imagine those power in our phone that would be awesome!!!
Yeah actually....Our phone would be just like an X-box or a Playstation ....
Totally unrelated to XPlay.
looking good'
but i prefer a phone-game console . like our xperia play . maybe should wait for ZTE ...
i think it will be a great step for indie devs to port to consoles, but i do love my play and wont get rid of it till another phone with a game pad comes out lol
Moved to General forum.

Porting the Steam Linux Release to Android

Hey XDA,
Huge noob here, just wanted to propose a discussion. But first, a little background
I was recently looking into the new windows 8 platform and, like many people, I am not entirely convinced by it. This essentially just fueled my interest in the idea of making android a PC operating system as well as a mobile one.
Now on to my discussion question...
Since there has been some ports of Android floating around as downloadable ISO files, I was thinking. If laptops start becoming more touchscreen based (which I'm certain they will given windows 8s release) and thus, xda development of android for PCs becomes more grand scale, Wouldn't it really give android a strong backing if they had a fully featured steam app built off of steam's linux port "coming soon".
So tell me, What are your thoughts? Possible, not possible? Good Idea, Bad? Let's hear it.
Well that would be cool

Meh, android in my opinion is not suited for a computer. Android has power, but I feel it doesn't have the necessary power for a computer. I would rather use a Linux district running an interface better suited for touch/net books like kde or unity

CM10 - 10.1 mod question and my ROM development

Since I have been thinking about ROM development (been wanting to try my hands on CyanogenMod ROM development for the 3D phone) and 3D stereoscopic feature seems to be a popular demand, so I intend to learn a bit more in Android OS development and bring it forward.
There will be no LG Real3D framework but rather I am taking another route; Texas Instruments Me-D Stereoscopic 3D framework.
Yet, first question would be; what OS bugs in JB 4.1.2 and / or 4.2.2 OS bug should I except and what's the workaround? That would be nice to start out with very few bugs. And as time progresses, I would ask few more questions.
