CM10 - 10.1 mod question and my ROM development - LG Optimus 3D

Since I have been thinking about ROM development (been wanting to try my hands on CyanogenMod ROM development for the 3D phone) and 3D stereoscopic feature seems to be a popular demand, so I intend to learn a bit more in Android OS development and bring it forward.
There will be no LG Real3D framework but rather I am taking another route; Texas Instruments Me-D Stereoscopic 3D framework.
Yet, first question would be; what OS bugs in JB 4.1.2 and / or 4.2.2 OS bug should I except and what's the workaround? That would be nice to start out with very few bugs. And as time progresses, I would ask few more questions.

Android hacked to run on real hardware

link: http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/09/android-hacked-to-run-on-real-hardware/
Android has been hacked to run on actual hardware (rather than the released emulator).
This is excelent news! Now we just hope that somehow it's also ported to our beloved Pocket Phones and the world will be happy again
Here is the how-to for Sharp Sl-C760:
http://euedge.com/blog/2007/12/06/google-android-runs-on-sharp-zaurus-sl-c760/
Great news!! But what do you mean by hacked?
Didnt they release the SDK for developers to port the OS to real hardware devices?
Or just for software development?
Software development. But I am pretty Google knows it can and eventually be ported to actual devices. Its only better for them, the ported devices never run flawlessly as their Android phone. We're their free advertisement.

Google now export to more and ICS and jellybean

so Google Now is super amazing, but more importantly super fast. I just imported it onto my Stock ICS acer icona A500 tab it works, but has some major bugs. It makes searching everything and anything fast and so I wondered why wouldn't Google port this to more devices? not like gingerbread or froyo, no my real question is why isn't this on computers? built into a google chome extension or into chrome intself? I don't think it would be possible for XDA developers to do this (both because this is a mobile focused place and because it sounds extremely difficult) ,but! if they did it, would be priceless. So what what do you guys think?
(wow I screwed up the title it's suppost to be; than ICS and jellybean, not and ICS and jellybean)
I think of the reasons why it cannot be ported to other phones is that Google Now runs optimally in a Jelly Bean-based kernel. That's why even though the devs have ported it to ICS ROMs, it is still having some problems. And if the device is running anything before ICS, then forget about it. The difference in kernels is the main roadblock.
And who needs Google Now in a browser, when google glasses comes out?

[Q] VxWorks on Gnex?

Just curious of anyone has attempted to run vxWorks using some generic opengl library on a phone yet?
I know Wind River helped with some of the initial porting of Android in the early stages, so I am hoping it wouldn't be that big of a transition to port over some android libraries to vxWorks... :fingers-crossed:
I know this will never be practical for real usage, but this is more like a side project for me.

[CM 10] Adding 3D Features to CM10

Hey dudes
I'm so happy now with cm10 .. ot's working gr8!
But is there any possibility of manually adding 3d?
And what about the 3d cam?
Plz help.. this would make our phone the best one!
Yes i agree cause a 3D phone without a 3D its like any other phone
You are not developing something here.
This thread belongs to the GENERAL Section..
Not only has it been pointed out on many occasions and in the wrong section the 3D source and HDMI source have never been released by LG hence why not included in any CM versions.
you can take 3d pictures but you cannot view 3d
i dont know if its possible in the stock cm10 camera but if you download the 4.2 camera you can use the switch camera to cycle through the standard camera to face cam to stereoscopic cam. i know it works cos i viewed it in the cross eyed viewing method and its 3d lol.
but dont do this viewing method in public places you look kinda weird lol
At the moment this is yet impossible till LG actually brings out an ICS update and peeps can start extracting the closed sourced drivers - at that point I guess it should be a fairly painless update to add it and update the kernel to actually use the LG drivers.
TL;DR: No.
You underestimate how hard it is to implement 3d, there's a reason why we don't have a standalone 3d mod, unless a very good developer some how ports it
Lg released su760's sources...
Not impossible anymore....

[Q] Where's the multirom love?

I'm glad that people are finally getting together and trying to produce some new ROMs for this device, but I feel that Shield Tab, more than any other device, needs multirom support. Some games don't work and may never work on Android 5.0 and up, and that's a real shame for a device with this sort of power, HDMI out and special controller support. I wouldn't mind running a special ROM that was fully compatable with the OUYA framework alongside a ROM running the latest version of Android for general use. That would greatly increase the flexibility of a Shield Tab.
Soooo, any devs feel me on this?

Yes.

yeah, I planned to release it last weekend, but some other things got in the way and I didn't have enough time. I'll probably release it later this week (it already works, but a few patches to multirom are required, so I want to publish all the sources first)
