[ROM][6.0] CyanogenMod 13.0 [ALPHA] have bricked some XPERIA L devices. So this thread is to help those people who are facing the problem. I came across some methods to recover their Xperia L. Although, I am not sure it will work because I haven't tried it myself (Can't risk bricking my phone on purpose just to check this method which may or may not fix it ). But please go ahead and try it.
It's better to try than to cry!

You had to install the latest package.. if u didn't only then u would've got hard bricked... cm13 is now tested by too many people and it runs without bugs.. so it may be the fault with the version of cm13 you used..

oh damn another one guy same happened to me with same rom ...
sorry but this means your phone is dead like mine, your bootloader is corrupted so device is unable to boot to kernel nor to system
no flashmode or fastboot mode, you can see it only in device manager (with proper drivers) as qhusb dload 9008
sadly we don't have proper files for QPST software so nobody unbricked his XL to this date
only chance is motherboard replacement

Hi, is it possible to have some more information on the situations with cm13 that have caused a hard-brick? I understood that that the features such as link2sd and app2sd are potentially dangerous? Is this understanding correct? If yes, could you please explain why and under which circumstances this could create troubles?
Do you have any further suggestions on what to avoid?
Many thanks in advance for your expert advice.
I wanted to try cm13 on my spare xperia l, but would like to avoid a hard brick...

Its already been fixed in newer builds, also, the developer has stopped the development. But you can surely use CM13 Based ROMs since they also have better editing options.
I really cant wait for cm13. It really pleases me If rom get fixes

I'm afraid I might have bricked my phone.
After trying to install CWM on my Huawei Honor and rebooting, a yellow warning sign appears with the following text:
"Image signature verify fail
Your boot/recovery image may have an incorrect signature.
Please update your image to a signature official one.
You can remove battery for power down."
I've read a LOT of posts regarding rooting of this device on here, as well as numerous of other sites, but half of them are outdated and the other half are uninformative or poor in quality. Nobody can seem to get this to work, but I'm still willing to try my luck on here before turning the phone in for a new one, claiming it was an OTA update that did it.
I tried rebooting into Pink/Purple screen and connecting to my computer, but it doesn't show up.. All I hear is a "connected USB" sound and no drives. I tried installing Knives & Forks, but it requires my phone to have USB Debugging enabled, which, to my LACK of luck, wasn't enabled when this error happened. I'm really freaking out, as I just got this phone.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to provide full details what is happening. Does it switch on? Do you see a flicker when you turn on or what happened and every single bit of detail you think can be helpful. How do you know it's hardbrick. Do you know the difference between soft and hard brick?
Asking a question without details is not going to help. Ask again in details!

We can NOT help you until you provide specific details.
Answer these questions :
1.Do you have any idea about how to flash a ROM and how much experience & understanding you have of android?
2.What were you doing when your phone suddenly died?
3.Were you trying to change values of your ROM/kernel or trying to do a mod?
4.Tell me in details how your phone is behaving apart from your term DEAD. When you try to switch on, do you see flickering/ a dull black screen or nothing happens or do you see any slight light in dark.
5.Does it boot into flashmode/fastboot if you try?
6.Have you tried to charge it for few hours and left it there?
7.Are you sure it is NOT battery problem?
8. Did you drop it in any kind of liquid or anything.
9. What do you mean by root here. Your phone died DURING root, AFTER root or what?
I only asked 9 questions but your details must be equal to 20 questions if you are willing to fix your phone as we CAN NOT SHOOT STARS on a CLEAR SUNNY SKY.

Thank you for the valuable details that have been provided. I am experiencing the same problem with my Xperia L. For Xperia L as per my understanding to get CWM you need custom Kernal and before installing this I was trying to root and unlock bootlader to get custom ROM installled. I am below average user had some experience in flashing and but I did something wrong the phone is totally dead now. Now I am trying to turn it on and go into recovery by using volume button and power button but just red light is blinking no Sony logo. I also try to connect this with PC but it recognized as unknown device. I also tried Sony SUS but PC is not recognizing the phone which I guess is required for SUS and flash tool. Please help me!

Try removing your battery for 5 minutes. Then try again and let us know how it goes. Your phone is not bricked, it can be salvaged, question is only if you need to send it in to repair. But first thing first, try removing battery and then come back.
Still Xperia L is not turning on, just giving three red light blinks

Still it’s recognized as unknown device by the PC and just also tried on other pc but no luck. Got generic ftt to flash but the phone is still not being recognized by Sony flasher and SUS. Here in Pakistan there is no Sony service centres and I don’t want to give to local vendors. Please advise what should I do more

So guys,
After some ports, my XC2304 isn't able to run on flashmode to re-install firmware. Some days ago I create an ftf file for it be flashed by Perfect Flash, the results was sucessfully. Perharps, today I was porting a Z1 rom based on our last update .13. After install the rom by CMW the phone doesn't boot for anyway.
I tryed to reset by back button, no response;
I tryed to remove battery and no response;
I've tryed to boot into flash mode by pressing volume - but only stills on a red led.
I follow some tutorials but no one worked for me, the main problem is "device not recognized" by windows.
Can't connect on Perfect Flash\Sony Update service cause the flash mode doesn't appears.
Well, I was very excited to porting my new rom based on 4.3 AOSP, was some little bugs that I as just solving, but now I'm not able to continue my ports
If someone had the SAME problem and solved it, I'll be glad if you help me!
Best Regards.

Do this before the above link :
remove your back panel and then put your Xperia C for charging and then hit the small reset button near Sim card slot using a pen or a refill; then wait for 5 resonds and stop charging... by this you will be able to switch off your Xperia C and then you can use the link provided above to for your problem

this method doesnt work when you flash a rom for a different device like i did i already order a new motherboard for my xc. this only will solve it...changing motherboard.
And by the way if Red Light is shown then it is Soft Brick and you can very easily repair it. If that light is also not there then you can say that it is a hard brick.
Hi guys its the 3rd time that i post here in the forum hopping to restore my "dead" Moto G3 XT1543 1GB RAM Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916).
Some days ago I've unlock my phone bootloader in order to install CM14.1 and i did it with success! but my sim card wasn't working, so, I tried to look for a solution. And I found a video on youtube that showed the supost fix for this issue, but i was wrong. I've flashed the file which broke my phone immediately and now my phone doesn't do ANYTHING!! Well, at least it shows on my computer as QDLoader 9008 but for now on I dont know what I have to do! I know that the easiest way to fix it is buying another motherboard, but I think that still hope for someone to find the way to fix it! Well, if the pc recognizes the processor so there's something to be done right?
I had searched all over the internet during this week, and I found some interesting possible ways to fix it, but im not a developer so I need help and opinions from other people.
1)The first way was to change the mode to 9006 aka diag mode though some files wich in theory allows you to acces eMMC partition and restore all the 29 inside partition and recover your phone. The problem is: I don't know how to change it to diag mode, but yea i have the needed files, and i don't have the tool to acces the eMMC of the phone and i dont have a backup of the partitions to write over the corrupted ones.
2)The second way was to use this tutorial *http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/* that i still havent tried since my phone isn't with me right now. So, in this supose way we can contact the phone through a tool called QFIL and try to "Inject" the bootloader or whatever, in the phone to foce him into a bootloop and so enabling the fastboot mode which allows you to install a rom later on. well the problem for this one is, i dont know if it works on your moto g3 but i gonna try. (if you try this option tell me and i gonna upload the needed files because the folder avaliable in the link contais files for the processor Snapdragon 610 and Moto G3 processor is a 410)
3) The third way is a Jtag repair in a authorized store, but i dont think Moto G3 have a jtag fix (im posting this possibility because i could be wrong)
4) In this way could be a updated Blank Flash actually used to hard unbrick the Moto G1 and I Guess the G2? But im not a developer and I dont know too much about programing, but i'm sure someone out there is a pro
5) Use the QPST which is kinda the same thing as use a eMMC tool? ( again im not a dev ) and from what i got, is used to config all your phone from scratch. would be good if there's a tuto out there
6) Sit and wait till Motorola release the MBM-CI 5.0 which from what i got is used like the Blank Flash or used to make a Blank Flash idk
AGAIN!!! IM NOT A DEV, THIS IS JUST SOME WAYS THAT I FOUND OUT THERE ON THE INTERNET WHICH COULD BE USED TO FIX YOUR BELOVED MOTO G3!! SO, I'M SHARING ALL MY RESEACH WITH YOU GUYS BECAUSE IS A SHAME HAVE TO DUMP MY DEVICE LIKE THAT OR HAVE TO EXPEND LIKE R$ 500 IN A NEW MOTHER BOARD WHICH IN DOLLAR ITS LIKE 1600 U$D (this is Brazil guys yea it's a horrible country T_T ) SO I HOPE THAT THIS POST HELPS SOMEBODY AND IF YOU GOT SOME INFO SHARE TO HELP US TRY TO FIX THE PHONE!

You'll need blankflash for this device, that's the only thing which will take it back to bootloader mode so you can flash a firmware. Blankflash is usually found in stock firmwares, however the chances are kinda low

No... And just like previous Moto devices, it is unlikely we will ever get the necessary files.
Same situation, any updates?
I'm currently facing the same situation with XT1543, it ran Marshmallow 6.0 stock (came with Lollipop) and suddenly it hard bricked (last time i checked there were no software updates and even if there were, the phone would not restart itself to update). I ran blankflash but the results were these:

If you can't get to the bootloader, it's toast... we do not have the proper files to do a Qload reflash, and the chances of getting them are near zero.
Try the usual... drain the battery and hold Power+Vol Dn (normal method to access bootloader) or press and hold Power+Vol Dn for 15-30 seconds, if you can't get to the bootloader there is NO recovery method available. Sorry.

If you can't get to the bootloader, it's toast... we do not have the proper files to do a Qload reflash, and the chances of getting them are near zero.

+1 on this.
The only other thing I would do is take it apart and detach one wire from battery and short that lose wire to the other wire (short the phone, NOT the battery!) for 15 sec or so and reconnect wire to battery and put phone back together and try boot to bootloader (power plus vol-dn). If no go, at that point if it were worth it I would give it to ATT to fix, or toss it in the drawer for parts.
I too hard bricked my g3.
My PC detected it as Qualcomm 9008 mode

If there is no bootloader and the only thing that can be seen on the computer is QdLoader mode, it's done... Send it to Moto for repair or send it to the recycler, there is no fix we can do.
