Hide your soft keys in DAV-701L - Huawei P8max

Oke I found out that this option is not available in the DAV-701L. It was in the chinese one DAV-703L, i guess it was added with a update. So I found a solution to add this option on the DAV-701L. Just install Touchplus APK (https://mega.nz/#!doBX1YJa!UC2cy0WuCU03jfbigIQFUnZvqgMs9_fFkxLkQPL8Jcs). Then go to settings ----> smart assistance ----> more ->>> suspend button and enable this. Now you go to settings ----> smart assistance ---> Touchplus and enable this and film navigation keys. Then you go back with the suspend buttons to your screen. Now your soft keys are gone. With the suspend buttons you go back to settings ----> smart assistance ---> Touchplus and disable this and film navigation keys. Now your soft keys are back with the option the hide them. Now you can disable the suspend button in settings ----> smart assistance ----> more ->>> suspend button.
Some apps auto hide soft keys like youtube, but i had some apps that didnt do this, so now you can hide them yourself and slide up to get them back
First it was like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",

And now its like the chinese DAV-703L:

[MOD][MIUI] Recovery option on power menu (11-30 MIUI build)

So I got tired of having to manually holding the power+volume keys to go into recovery every time so I added the Recovery menu option to the power menu. Sharing here in case anyone else would like to have it as well. I also took a look at the 4-way boot mod and I personally just prefer having the option directly on the main Power menu instead of a submenu.
Firstly, thanks to Isaacj87 for putting together the MIUI port!
Secondly, thanks to untermensch on xda for the guide.
I REPLACED the Guard option on the power menu so if you like that option, DO NOT use this mod. Basically, you can't change the array size from 5 options to 6 options without the phone crashing when creating the dialog--there's a bunch of verifications on the dialog size in a bunch of different places that is a real pain to try and follow. I didn't want to mess with that so, since I never used the Guard option anyways, I just replaced it--and I don't know how to make a popup window in smali like the Recovery option on CM7 so I don't have any plans on doing that as well at this time.
I also changed the carrier name to MIUI.
In order to see the power menu Phone Options dialog, you need to change your Toggle Settings to Compact view, otherwise, it will just show you your notification bar toggles when you hold down your Power button. To do that:
Settings --> Personal Tab --> Toggle Settings --> Compact
Or as bing7625 mentioned, you can lock your phone and then hold down the power button on the lockscreen.
This has only been tested with Isaac's current 11-30 MIUI builds. Instructions to install:
1. Download Zip file and flash in ClockworkMod recovery.

[Q] menu button no Entry into settings

Hey, before the ota rolled out I used the phone for 2 minutes, and at that time w when I pushed the left/menu button the launcher settings popped up. But there was also the settings button. So I could enter settings (like WiFi. Users....) But after that update the button disappeared and changed with the designs button.
Is there any way to get the settings button back there?
Because the upper right corner is so far away for my thumb
Another question: can I get the "," on the keyboard instead of voice??
Thanks in advance !

Go into settings->buttons and there's options to set what the menu button will do. You can set the short press to menu and then long press to recent apps which was the default before the OTA.

I see what you mean. It's the same for me. Looks like they got rid of the settings options from that menu. I switched to nova launcher and didn't notice the changes to the stock one after the update. I can only suggest that you download a new launcher.

Make your O3D become "L"

What I used :
Namles ROM 4.4.4
(camera upside down&mirrored, no bluetooth, no WLAN. Else it works great already !)

L-Keyboard apk :

Google Play Services and Wallpapers :
(800x480 single screen or 800x960 resolution for multiscreen)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2796019
The app "SoftKeyZ Root" from the playstore (1,99 €):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.janis605.softkeyz&hl=de
The app "Icon Changer free":
to make the icons fit your needs
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad&hl=de
And a selection of flat-icons that I collected via google over many weeks.
1.) Flash nameless ROM via CWM (thanks to nameless, troopii, bernie and everyone involved)
Then edit file "build.prop" in folder "/system"
Add the following : ro.bq.gpu_to_cpu_unsupported=1
This will fix the rotation glitches.
thanks to troopii!
2.) Settings -> Crazy Lab -> Send Error Reports (uncheck)
3.) Settings -> Lock screen -> Lockscreen notifications -> Pocket mode (uncheck it = fixes steady red light on proximity sensor)
If you want a neat "Pocket Mode" app, that will make the LEDs flash on missed calls and sms, feel free to try out :
O3DLEDs1.4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216824
Not many options, but it works
or
Gravity Screen - On/Off
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexnor.gravityscreenofffree&hl=de
Tons of settings and options ! Like turn on display with a gesture in front of the proximity sensor or turn it on while pulling it out of your pocket.
Both apps will use the LEDs of the touch keys, that we will disable on step 7.).
They will flash anyaway on missed calls !
4.) Flash play services
5.) Flash "L" keyboard
6.) Settings -> Language -> check google keyboard only
Go to its settings symbol on the right, tap it and scroll down to "advanced settings" -> Colour scheme -> Material
7.) Go to Settings -> Navigation Bar -> Check Force Navigation & Check Disable hardware Keys
8.) Install "SoftKeyZ Root" (make a backup of your old symbols with this tool if needed)
9.) Choose from one of the many "L" symbol presets (yes, there is also the original developer preview images)
10.) Enjoy and place icons as needed using google and "Icon Changer free".

OPO new user - how to?

Hi,
I've just bought a used OPO from a friend and have a couple of doubts in how to customize some functions..
How can I customize buttons to reverse long press home for recent apps and long press menu for google?
How can I remove phone from lock screen?
Can I remove google bar from recent apps?
Probably I'll have some more doubts later on, but I'd already be happy with these answers I couldn't find myself on Google.
Thanks.:good:

Search bar is disabled in home but not in recent apps.
This is what I mean by phone in lock screen.
Thanks.
in about phone, turn on advanced mode, the options should be available in buttons. you can customise your lockscreen in settings.
It worked!! Thank you so much! I was also able to remove recent apps search bar in display settings.
no problem
One more question if you don't mind.. Why can't I select same wallpaper image for home and lock screen? I can select and adjust home wallpaper position to where I want, but lock screen I only found option in themes but doesn't allow adjustment.
In my nexus and Samsungs I usually went to Gallery select image and clicked "Set as Wallpaper" - Home and Lock Screen", but in OPO this option is not available..
Thanks.

[NO ROOT] No navbar | Pie controls - Free your screen and prevent burn-ins

Don't you hate the navbar?
Isn't it way to big and destroys look of the beautiful big screen?
And what about burn-ins?
There's a simple solution.
Completely hide the navbar and use PIE instead.
And it even makes one hand usage easier. Especially for S8+.
You no longer have to try to reach the statusbar or the back or recents button - doesn't matter on which hand you hold the phone.

Info:
This is a no-root solution. This won't trip knox nor will you loose your phones guarantee.
Anyway, all these steps are described as is and everything you do is on your own risk.
Don't blame me if anything goes wrong. But there isn't anything risky at all, so you should be safe.
Step-by-step guide:
Go to PlayStore and download Shortcutter Quick Settings and Pie Control
Go into Android settings and select developer settings at the very bottom (if you don't have it, do the steps described here)
Activate USB-Debugging
Make sure ADB and the needed drivers are installed on your computer. If not, do the 15 seconds installation described here.
Connect your phone to your computer and approve/allow all dialogs coming up on your phone.
Open CMD on your computer and write in the following 'adb shell pm grant com.leedroid.shortcutter android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS' (without asterics)
Wait few seconds. Then you can disconnect your phone again from your computer.
Open the app "Pie Control" you installed before on your phone and select 'Side'.
Activate the option 'ENABLE SIDE AREA' on the top using the slider
Click on the 'Level 1' tab and remove all entries there using the recycle bin icon.
Click on the first entry on Button 1, 2 and 3 and add the navigation buttons ('Tools' > 'Home' / 'Back' / 'Recent apps')
You should now be able to slide from both edges of the screen and the PIE controls with the three important buttons ('Home' / 'Back' / 'Recent apps') should come up
(You might want to change the settings on the 'Level 2' tab as well. I set them to 'Volume control', 'Camera', and 'Notification', which brings up the notification bar)
Next we need to get rid of the navigation bar.
Open the app "Shortcutter Quick Settings" you installed before on your phone and activate the very first option 'Security settings'.
Swipe right and activate "Immersive" (you might deactivate all the others if you don't need them).
Swipe down the status/notification bar with two fingers so that the quick setting tiles come up.
Tap on the three dots on the top right and select the first option.
Drag&drop the 'Immersive' tile from the bottom to the top setting tiles.
Tap on Done on the top right.
Now click on the 'Immersive' tile and then select the last option 'NO NAV'.
We're done!
Here some pictures how some apps look like after these steps and how PIE looks like.
Enjoy!
there's another way more simple and no root required ,download GMD immersive from playstore
