[Q] What phone should I buy xperia j, u or maybe Gigabyte GSmart gs202?

hello
I'm standing in front of a choice. I wonder if the three models. Specifically, the sony xperia j, xperia u and Gigabyte GSmart gs202. I depend mostly on performance (no delays when working on the system, browsing, etc). I do not play games. Each of these models has some advantages and disadvantages. Can I ask you to help you select a specific model above? Or do you have any other suggestions efficiently and in a similar price range?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Sorry for my English;-P

i wouldn't even consider Gsmart i've never even heard of it haha.
As for the other 2 choices, I personally would get xperia J because of it's aesthetic appeal, but performance wise, xperia u is better since it's got 2 cores as opposed to 1 of the former.
may i suggest xperia sola? it's basically the same as u but has floating touch and sd card compatibility... and it looks good and is cheap as well.
I'd say for looks, get J, for performance, get u If you want both looks and performance, get sola
thanks for your answer
Unfortunately, in Poland xperia sola is more expensive than a lot of xperia j, xperia u. Saw some videos where you can see that xperia j often ailing. That's why I decided to buy xperia u
THX and happy new year :silly:

[Q] Does the Xperia Z3 support MirrorLink?

Does anyone know if the Xperia Z3 supports MirrorLink?
I have a xav-602bt car head unit and would like to know. Currently I have the Xperia Z which works fine. The website with the list of compatible phones says the Z2 and Z1 work but I don't know if the site just needs updating or if in fact the Z3 is simply not supported!

Should I buy Sony Xperia Z5 Compact or LG Nexus 5X?

Hello,
I'm still confused; I'm planning to buy a new smartphone and I doubt between these two devices:
Xperia Z5 Compact by Sony
and Nexus 5X by LG & Google.
Both devices has matt color and feeling which is great for me.
The Nexus 5x is a Google supported phone so it receives always as first new updates and has zero bloatware pre-installed in the phone.
On the other hand we have the Sony which has great camera, nice Sony UI (I love Xperia keyboard, Xperia SMS app and the Sony Music player).
Who can help me to decide?
Thanks in advance:good:

As a Nexus 5X daily user I can say the device is phenomenal. The experience is very smooth. The camera is also quite good talking vivid high quality pictures. AOSP messaging on the Nexus 5X is quite nice and the keyboard is a good experience. The hesitation with the Z5 is the Snapdragon 810, which has had numerous issues since it's introduction. However if you intend to use more then 32 GB of storage (26 formatted capacity) the Z5 is better because of its expandable storage. Let me know if you have any more questions happy to help you out !

XZ camera features availability for the Z5?

Z5 camera software features have been made available to Z1,Z2 and Z3 devices almost immediately after the Z5 came out:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/exrxths-z1-z1c-z2-z3-z3c-z3-xperia-z5-t3250139
I know this package only is a 'mod', but still.
Do we know if the Z5 will get the updated XZ camera software app?
I'm interested too need some answers please

We wait for third party ROM.

That's bad. It should be updated... :'(
Nevermind, LineageOS & crDroid will (and Carbonrom, AOSP, etc..). Honestly, since we can install most of the Sony apps on these roms, there are not much advantages to use stock roms, but there are many advantages to use the former...!!
Yesterday I asked on the Sony Chat if there is an update next Nougat 7.1.1 for the Xperia Z5 and they said me yes.

It's not official yet.
It doesnt matter if our z5 is capable of getting Oreo update or not.
Sony has 24 months or how much to support their devices.
I strongly believed that we were going to get Oreo update, as you all know Z5 has no problems whatsoever, and believed sony will make exception and support to our device, but i was wrong.
Oreo update with the XZ1 ui would be really really refreshing for our device.

I guess it's not uet final. The announcement was for devices that will be updated first.
But no official announcement that Z5 update will stop. Let's wait and see..
Sony is very generous...hehehe

Z5 might receive Oreo, just not from Sony.
It might well still be a good thing tho.
The Z5 has been out for 2 years, received 3 major OS updates (5.1.1 to 7.1.1) and timely security patches.
Honestly, I prefer well-built and stable updates to poorly-built and full of bugs ones.
Just look at how we received Nougat, the 32.3.A.2.33 update was a joke (they tried to push it out as soon as possible).
Even now the 32.4.A.0.160 (most stable of Nougat) is nowhere near as stable as 5.11 Marshmallow.
So yeah, it might be a good thing not to have half-heartedly developed builts (the XZ line is way more popular to non-Sony fans btw)
Also, we have some really devoted and dedicated developers for our device (kudos!), who revise their codes every single day and fill their ROMs with lastest Google security patches.
Oreo will come to the Z5 for sure, not just from Sony.

Xperia L1, XA and E5, too? Yeah, sure. Hell would rather freeze over. It's most likely a clickbait article, that's all it is.
humm, probabely.. you're right

Nothing surprising: after 2 years vendors usually stop updating firmwares. Most of Z5 line owners already knew that Nougat would have been the last major release.
Now there's space for AOSP.
