The problem here is easy...
Nvidia with the "new" tablet K1 decide to remove the stylus slot and stylus to drop down the price...
It's fantastic, plus Nvidia say that even without the slot we can buy the stylus and use it without problem...
Here is the catch..
With the removal of the slot Nvidia cut down from our firmware all the stylus option, especially the only stylus option for ALL tablet and the lasso capture app...
Then we lack a very important part about the stylus possibility..
Anyone with the old tablet can extract the app?
lasso and launcher apks
Here.
These have been extracted from my TegraNote running lollipop.
The nvlasso was in system/priv-app

I have an order in for a HP slate but don't get it until April! Don't want to wait and need to use pdf files and be able to run acrobat so I can do annotations during meetings of pdf files and then sync to my server when I get back into my office. I know I can do it with the slate as it is windows based and has flash. Can I also do it with the G after the flash issue is fixed and with a program that runs in the android environment?
I specifically purchased Repligo Reader from the Market because it was the only app (at the time) that handled annotations. I don't know if the annotations are saved in the pdf or not (and thus would be visible if you transfer the pdf to another computer), but Repligo was well worth the purchase price.
Repligo does not allow you to write with a stylis or finger to make notes and that is an annotation feature that is powerful when you are in meetings and then want to take those notes and have them on the page.
It seems like acrobat has a android program, but I can't find anyone that has used it or knows about it. There is a bluebeam program that looks great but it is for windows.
Stylus or fingertip annotation would be the bomb. Dont know of any Android pfd apps that do that.. if you come across one, post it here, because I'd like that too.
Repligo
Friends, Repligo DOES allow you to annotate with a capacitative stylus or finger.
I know because i use it for school work at my university. Thats the main reason why i bought my g tablet in the first place.
When you are in a pdf, tap on the screen onces to bring up the top and bottom menus. At the top, click on the 3rd symbol from the left (pencil symbol).
Click on draw free hand. And...wait for it...magic happens
I've only ever bought 2 paid apps for my G tab and HTC Desire HD. (Repligo and thumd keyboard)
Hope this helps
Yep. It wasn't one of the features it had when it first launched, but it's been added over the last couple of weeks. Also, they finally changed it so when you zoom in on one page, it stays that way for the other pages.
I've bought more than 2 apps, but RepliGo was one of the better purchases.
Huh. Never noticed that before. Thanks for the tip!!
Cool. And thanks. Now any problems with syncing files on my Windows 7 OS office computer to the Gtablet? Any procedures you can turn me on to in that area?
Just purchased it and I am not so happy with it. The free hand mode will not let you let the pen up to print words without asking you to save or cancel at every lift of the finger. Also, I don't see a highlighter. Additinoally if you have a password to open the file the program will just not let you edit the file at all! Do you have any of these issues?
Once you select the text, you can highlight it in the pop up menu...
Just ignore the "done, cancel" menu when you are doing handwrite. You can continue drawing without any interference. Once you click done it does not save. It just confirms that you want to keep the characters. The file is only saved when you go to menu and click save.
Of course if you wanna highlight empty space / non-text, you cant at this moment. Not sure about the password one though.
Thanks for your help! My problem is that I have issues with even getting the program to recognize my selection of text. I touch and then drag and nothing! I have tried with different files (6 to be exact) and one of them allows me to select the text but that is very unstable and not consitant. Really a bummer as when I am in meetings, I want the interaction of me doing this to be quick and seemless. Otherwise I spend time trying to figure the program out instead of figureing out the issues that are present at the meeting.
Can you offer any help? Have a request into Cerience but have not heard back. I fear they are just going to say that some file have this problem and leave it at that. I found another cool program called pdf annotator 3.0 but it is not avalible for android. I just bought this g-tab and learned and did the root, clockmod, vegan and love it. In fact enought to cancel my slate order as this has a bigger screen, but if I can't annotate, I'll have to give this to my daugther who facebooks and googles, but I will need to stay with a pc os based tablet.
Support from Repligo has been good. They e-mailed to say that they don't support my password protected files and that is why I can't comment on those types. On the ones that I can the program is still a bit buggy for me. Not sure if it is the app for me. Will need to work with it for a while.
Repligo works on vegan 5.1.1 but everytime you tab the middle of the screen to get the menu to freehand the app FC. Those who are freehanding in repligo, which rom are you using?

I use RepliGo and all functions work nicely with VEGAn 5.1
(Without the 5.1 Suppliment)
Whats solutions are there for HDMI use?.
Are there any apps for true photo editing such as Paintshop pro or photoshop?.
My website uses flash but doesn't work properly on the tab.

I've tried the stock & Dolphin HD browsers.
I have a micro SD card installed but device won't let me delete from it says it's read only.
I use Plume twitter client but text doesn't seem sharp, I assume this is as its scaled and not tablet designed.
One of the main reasons I bought the device was for putting my large collection of photos on it.
I would be interested in any tips on making the experience better, one thing I would really like to be able to do is have the ability to rename the image or at least put a comment on it. I have scanned alot of old photos and would like to have this ability if a family member can tell me about the image.
Thanks for your time.
for the HDMI question, you can use any HDMI Micro (Type D) to HDMI (Type A)
There are no true apps that will give you the same abilities as Photoshop on a PC/MAC, but you can download Photoshop Express from the market.
I viewed your site using both the stock browser and Opera Mobile and it renders fine in Opera.
As for being unable to delete files from the SD card I believe that is a problem with the stock ROM, though could be wrong because as soon as I got my Xoom I rooted and put on a custom ROM, so have little experience of the stock ROM. Not sure if it has been fixed in the 3.2 update. I am using a custom ROM and can delete files on the SD card.
The latest version of Plume is tablet designed and the text is sharp on my Xoom.
As for managing your photos, perhaps an app like Media Organizer may be some way towards what you are looking for.
Still no Photoshop but you can use aviary. www.aviary.com/online/image-editor

Thanks for that. Will get a cable.
I looked at the docks too and would I be right in saying the the speaker dock is the only one that has HDMI out, seems pricey.

The Adobe photoshop tool suite is coming out for android (they said in November) and they will cost $9.99 per app. Hold on...this will only be getting better with Ice Cream Sandwich. The specs look great...I think a few of the cludgy Honeycomb bits will be resolved, from what I've been reading. It's going to be a great time to have a Xoom.

Photo shop Express only allows edit of images taken on device.
When viewing my site the gallery should come out of the bar and list sub catagories, I can't get it to do this in any of the 3 browsers
Found out about SD card issue shortly after posting.
Oddly though I can delete images from within the gallery app. - since found out this too be untrue its just temporary until reboot then they reappear

Go into settings and untick "Show camera photos only in Phone view". It will then show any photo's/pictures in any other folder that does not have the .nomedia file
sadly when you change the setting it shows all images rather than folders.
Thanks anyway.

In specs and images it was posted as (will insert image later)
(all is rather optimistic and NOT what it came like!)
it appeared as(will insert image later1)
and issues with me trying (and achieving some sort of control level) there from
(will insert image later)
varied degree of success working on it gets me to (will insert image later2)
So, I have managed to disable some apps, once managed to get mobile networking connections to the 1Mobile Market and get some apps to work, but not GooglePlayStore. Most of remaining (and new apps) are not in Chinese no more, so I am very hopefull, that with rooting I'll get rid of the rest of them gremlins.
Actual specs (will insert image later3)
The questions to you Gentleman (and) Ladies:
1- Do I have to (must) root the device, so that GooglePalyStore would work? as currently, it is installed, but majority of apps are kicking some or the the sort of errors(unsupported etc), and actual GoogleStore app- "works" via Browser...
2- If yes, how do I (step by step) root it in order to have better control? (what applications( with links please) I should install for such Odyssey and what order etc please!?
3- If rooting, is it possible to Get IE 4.4.0 ROM to install?(instead of 4.1.1)- what will happen to the features of IE analogTV receiver hardware management?
4- Would it matter at all, if device is not rooted, but intended to be installed iGo Primo is packaged somehow with GooglePlay app?- will it work? or will that "modified" app work with rooted device all together? (I already learned, that IE Traffic recorder apps are only available on Google)- meaning not available for me for now...
Very many thanks for the answers and ideas in advance!
Am I wrong in believing, that particular tablet is really just a different badge wearing JXD P1000 MTK8377 tablet?
Hardware specs seem to match, as well as appearance/hardware configuration seems ever so similar, is it that daft of an idea to consider rooting and replacing ROM with one, made for JDX device?

LG G Pro original Notebook apps can not run on Lollipop,
it crashed when launched.
I am sad.
mine works ok. can create a new notebook, save it, delete it.
I am a noob.
I am trying to figure out how / what to add to a cleanly wiped Context Media Health 13" tablet that was thrown away by a doctor's office. I am able to get to the os and in the apps screen it shows absolutely nothing installed. There are no apps in the app tray and the only thing that will load is the settings screen.
The device has android 4.4.4 and describes itself as Outform-TAB1310-Y4.14-20160223. I am able to get to the recovery screen and it has an SD card reader.
Thank you to anyone who can point me in the right direction on this.
The tablet for good reason was thrown into waste: it's OS ( KitKat ) is 9 years old, it was last updated in 2017 !
I understand.
However, If I can get it going, I have a dedicated use case that is not exposed to the internet for which it's os is more than adequate for the task.
