When I try to send MMS from the recent photos, it fails. I have to go into the folder then send it and it goes through. Anyone have this issue? Also it depends where I downloaded the photo from. If it's from tumblr it fails.

I have been working on my own firmware based on the AT&T 1.61 firmware, and I have run into an interesting problem. When I access the messages application, what used to be a "Text Messages" inbox (in some of my older ROMs) has become a "Messages" inbox. However, I did not install or build Arcsoft MMS into my firmware. Even more interesting is that there is an option to create a new MMS, but when it is selected, nothing happens. Has anyone else run into this before or does anyone have any suggestions for me?
My unfounded guess is that the problem has something to do with some file in the OperatorPKG folder (I only have the mxip files and the AudioPara file).
Within the AT&T Rom you have a "Messages" Folder. This is for system Messages such as when you register OTA for Exchange/Blackberry service. It was always there in the folders, but it did NOT show up on the Account Selection page. Since the Text/MMS is woven into arcsoft you are left with only the System message account dubbed "Messages".
This is why you also at times will see posts about people saying HTC Home says they have messages, but Exchange/BBerry is empty.
Hi there,
HTC Album or WM Picture Viewer offers you to send picture directly via MMS. It should start MMS Composer and embed desired picture inside. It is not working on my Touch. It includes only some 1kb icon, that is sent. When I pick up the same picture directly from MMS Composer, it works fine. But it is one step more and another searching...
Do you have any idea how to solve this trouble?
Thanx, Begis
I have this to, people telling me that I sent them empty mms, how to fix?
hi there,
what im looking for is an app that allows me to upload a pic to twitpic (or similar)
and immediately copies the newly created url so as to be able to send it as a text?
obviously i could
1. take the picture in camera
2. share using almost any twitter client
3. copy the twitpic url in the twitter client
4. exit the twitter client
5. open handsent
6. paste the url in
7. send
i get charged outside my plan for mms so dont like sending pics via mms
so what im imagining is something like this..
1. i've taken a photo that i want someone else to see
2. i share via an app that somehow combines twitpic and linkshrinker and automatically copies the url
3. straight into handsent and boom back of the net its sent!
any ideas?
cheers in advance
I'm having an issue when I want to send pictures to friends. Here is my process:
1. I download the image from the chrome browser, and it saves in my /download folder.
2. I compose an MMS message by either starting the app and adding the picture or going from the gallery and sharing via the app.
The receiver does not get the image, they receive a message that says:
"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset"
This occurs with both iPhone and Android users.
This does NOT occur with screen shots or images captured by my camera, only with images downloaded and saved to my device.
I'm on 4.4.4 now but this has been happening since I got my Nexus. I'm on Cricket and I've verified my APN settings are in line with theirs

I've tried this with Hangouts, Textra, ChompSMS, GoSMSPro just this morning. I believe I've also tried Handscent and 8sms in the past with the same results.
Anyone else with this issue that found a solution?
I am trying to send contacts vcf file as mms from galaxy S7 to another S7, but it appears as text file instead of vcf file in message app even though send as mms option is selected. The message app displayed vcf file in the format below. Due to this, contacts cannot be saved directly.
Begin: Vcard
Version:...
N:...
FN:Tel:0400..
End: Vcard
Has anyone ever see these symptoms before and / or know if there is anything I can do to diagnose / fix the problem.
Thanks in advance.

It's a text file, once converted to mms your contacts app can't read it anymore.
Email the text file to yourself ,open with contacts on the new S7 , save contacts.

I am converting a phone number from Contact app to mms format to share it via messaging app. But the problem is that the recipient Message app displays it in text format as above instead of mms format. This problem is happening with only one S7 phone and other phones are displaying mms vcf file correctly to save it directly to Contacts.
