I purchased a used LG Tribute2 and can't get past the google email screen. The previous owner wiped the gmail account and I don't know what it was or the password so I can't go any further and I can't reach the person I purchased it from. Any way to completely wipe the phone and reinstall lollipop?

I recently bought a galaxy s6 and i tried to see if i have new software updates but when i wanted to check i got this message: "The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorised way.Try downloading software updates using Smart Switch on your pc or visit a customer service centre".
I also have preinstalled an app called supersu , which i discovered it is for rooting or smth like that. So i looked up and now i know that the System status is Custom instead of Official. Does that mean that my s6 came rooted from the factory. Can i unroot it and still have my waranty? Please help .

In regards to your question, yes, it appears your device is rooted. However, I doubt it came from the factory in this state. I would suspect that it is refurbished or is second hand.

I really need your help. I do not know anything about root, boot loader or anything. I just recently got an official refurbished HTC One M7 from Ebay and when I got it, I could update it because after the file downloaded from the software update menu it said a message of Variant system version. I searched all the threads for something but nothing. The bad thing is that a do not have a PC nor a one to borrow, I have a Mac :s , and I am limited to what I can do. Please can someone help, I am loosing my mind over this. Thanks.

My Note 4 told me to do a system update, so, I did, and after about an hour of my phone flashing on and off on and off, I took it to the nearest Tmobile store and was told that, there was nothing they could do for me except sell me another phone, which I was forced to buy. So, I now have a phone I used to love, and cant use. The guy at Tmobile said that someone tried to root my phone but was unsuccessful, and only rooted it part of the way. So, now it is stuck in this half rooted mode. Is there anything I can do to recover my favorite phone? Plz help....
