It doesn't matter, as far as I know. I've never known any model to have a different recovery for every single variant. TWRP is universal among all Moto G 2015 models, so why wouldn't stock recovery?

Kindly can anyone help in enabling VoLTE in Moto G 2015 XT1550 (stable Custom Rom). I'm using a sim that has support for VoLTE. Internet speeds are great but voice calls over the sim are not audible, as VoLTE is disabled. I've did a backup of build.prop. Waiting for a tweak to enable VoLTE. Thanks in advance !!

Sorry bro... Moto has it disabled in the modem firmware, we don't get VoLTE no matter what you do.

Noob question, but were you talking about software (radio) firmware or a modern hardware revision in recently manufactured phones? Just got confused there.

Pretty sure it's a firmware thing... VoLTE processing is done mostly at the baseband (MDM9x25 modem) processor level and not at the Application Processor level (SOC - Snapdragon 410).
Moto said it isn't supported, but I believe other similar hardware does, therefore Moto has it disabled... and since modem firmware is required to be signed even with an unlocked booloader, we can't use a different one or modify the existing modem firmware.
See I've flashed stock back again. Now it's working. Now you plz suggest me that " if I revert back to RR ROM and flash the modem files of the stock ROM on RR ROM will solve this issue "???

It's working on stock ROM. I've flashed it now, calls over volte are good and clear. Just one doubt, if flash RR ROM again and flash the modem files of original firmware, will it help?

What? Really?!?! Moto has officially stated this device does not support VoLTE... Look at https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/MOTO-G-3rd-Gen/Does-the-new-Moto-G-XT1540-have-VoLTE/m-p/3247352 and scroll down to the official Moto response by MattForumsMngr in post #5

And as far as the modems/firmware goes, that does not change when you flash a custom ROM... When on any ROM you are using the stock modems.

Screenshot showed up on computer, but not in Tapatalk... I can't tell you why it works on stock and not RR then, unless RR doesn't have support for VoLTE built in it. I am not sure if there is VoLTE support in the CM device tree for our device (or even if that is where it would be found), but I have to assume it isn't, and since all aftermarket ROMs for the G3 use the same CM device tree because it is the only one available... well, you get the idea. If it isn't a device tree thing, it could be in other ROMs. I would suggest trying the "big" ones. AICP, DU, Tesla, or CM13 (official) are your most likely candidates to get VoLTE working, but in looking at the list of features of most aftermarket ROMs VoLTE isn't mentioned at all.

Thank you man, this update made my moto z work again! I had a problem that any stock rom make him freeze in 4 to 6 seconds
So, does this fix the wakelocks that can only be ended by rebooting the device? Anyone? Also, does this update improves performance in any way? Thanks.

so this rom using the adb sideload to update
this way will cover the old MM bootloader?
If I want to downgrade it will work after the sideload update?
I am using unroot and lock bootloader
I am confusing by the article about dont upgrade the ROM by OTA lol
Motorola announced the May security patch
https://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/Solution/MS127645
I am still at February ....no sign of news OTA...
How can there be such delays? Is Motorola only showing off with nothing actually being released...
Which variant do you have? I have the official A1 Fi OTAs you can apply via stock recovery, ADB sideload.

I'm on Indian version xt 1900-2 ... I'm still on December security patch... haven't received any other update..... Will I have to root, unlock bootloader on my phone to apply this zip?
Will I stop getting later OTA updates by doing this?

If I search for differences on models, my phone, although xt1900-7 seems more of a xt1900-2 in terms of specs (64ram, dual SIM). Still, I am in Europe...
You can try it, worst case is your phone will reject it. ADB sideload via stock recovery.

If it did then please can you verify by doing, I mean flashing other region stock ROMS you don't void your phone's warrenty? I mean that ugly samsung knox counter etc related s**t
this Oreo 8.1 region of Taiwan works fine for 2ram 16, applied it in Ukraine, works excellently, the battery is stored super. I recommend to use!
