Permission issue when installing app - LG G Flex 2

I am trying to install the BlackBerry Calendar on my device, but it seems there is an issue with the calendar. I had a similar issue with the keyboard, but uninstalling it as a system app, and reinstalling it as a normal app seems to have cleared up the problem. (which was the keyboard simply not showing up).
With the calendar, I can view all views and add/edit events, but when I click on an existing event it crashes. I thought I would try to also uninstall this as a system app, and reinstall as a normal app but I am now getting some sort of weird permission issue.
This is likely more of an android question rather than anything to do with a specific app. The problem I am seeing in the logs is: "attempting to redeclare permission com.blackberry.pim.permission.WRITE_TASKS already owned by com.blackberry.hub"
I do have BB Hub installed as a system app.
Other than looking at the log files I am not really sure how to proceed and do some troubleshooting. SS of log attached.

Have you tried wiping dalvik cache? And if that doesn't work remove the apps and try again.

[Q] Synchronize Check Boxes Missing - Google Accounts

Guys, at some point, not sure when, my check boxes to select sync options on Google accounts is missing. If I go to Menu>>Settings>>Accounts and select my Google account, the options for checking/unchecking Calendar, Contacts, etc. is missing. Any idea why they went missing? Phone is rooted using Z4Root and I do have gmail.apk renamed to gmail.bak. Not sure why this is happening. There could be a few other files renamed to remove bloatware.
Any ideas? I want to add another Google account and turn off sync for everything except Reader.
Android Version: 2.2
System Version: Version.2.4.330.A956.Verizon.en.US
Thanks.
Being that you renamed one of the main programs it would sync to, it prob thinks that it has nothing to sync. I would suggest reinstalling the Gmail app, as it is not in any way bloatware.

Do you know if the Gmail.apk package is used to sync contacts and calendar as well? Thanks for your advice. I will try it soon and report back.
negative, renamed Gmail.bak back to Gmail.apk with no success.
Any ideas?
Naming it back does not actually reinstall it. I found that out the hard way when I very first rooted my phone. You'll actually have to go thru the market and redownload and install.
As for it actually syncing, it there are other packages there that handle the syncing, how directly or indirectly I am not sure though. However, it is very likely that they still interact with each other, which means you just suddenly stripping it of something it expects to be there is quite likely to cause an array of possible problems.

[Q] Clear App Data Settings for Stock Clipboard??

I am trying to figure out how to clear the app data settings for the stock clipboard app.
I use Netmemo for voice memos. I love it. But I accidentally changed the default action for a voice memo to go to the "clipboard", rather than "email". I've cleared the Netmemo app data a few times, even deleted and reinstalled the app. The problem persists. The Netmemo help desk tells me that the only way to fix the problem is to clear the settings for the clipboard app. The tell me the clipboard app "owns" the Netmemo event.
I don't have any idea how to do that. I don't know the "name" of the clip board app to even clear the settings from.
I even downloaded a new clipboard app. It does the same thing.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
George

Only way that worked for me was to install Andmade Share, use it once, then uninstall and my clipboard default was cleared

Boxer mail keeps appearing after uninstall

I am running the latest stock COS 13.1 rom (the one with mods), but I choose to uninstall the mods, they are considered as bundled user apps, which can be uninstalled easily with android itself (no root required).
I uninstalled most of these apps, including Boxer mail, but this last one keeps popping among my installed apps every couple of days. all the others remain uninstall except Boxer (in addition to the boxer onenote mod).
anybody knows a way to remove it forever?
Same here... I managed to successfully uninstall all the unwanted mods&apps, but both Boxer Email and the onenote mod keep reappearing...
I finally found the way to make it disappear for good. I was also annoyed by these ghost apps appearances and kicked it !
Another strange thing was random halts of my One+ 1, some odd reboots, due to the infamous BoxerPluginOneNote trying to incite me to install MS OneNote !
For that you must delete/uninstall some Cyanogen apps located in system/priv-app (you may loose some functionality BUT one of it is responsible for respawn) :
AmbientCore.apk
AmbientUpdater.apk
CMLogger.apk
CyanogenStats.apk
DeviceManager.apk
Plus the ones you don't want in system/vendor/bundled-app
A reboot and that's done !
Anyway I ended installing Boxer which is a good Gmail and IMAP mail client with Boxer Calendar...
Deleting from bundled-app is obvious, but I don't want to alter the system partition, want to keep it stock for updates. I also tried decompiling them all, none of them contains any references for boxer.
the other apps doesn't seem to have any relation to boxer, they are just cyanogen apps that track stats and device, you disabled them for privacy more than just stop boxer from coming back.

Can't Share Files

Hello, I hope I can explain this properly. I am having problems sharing files in apps that use the default Android file sharing app, which appears to be an app called "Files". If I try to share a hilarious meme that I've saved to my device in Google Chats, after pressing the share picture button a new window opens. If I press on a picture, this new file selection window immediately closes and the picture is not transferred to Google Chats. If try again and press and hold pictures, and then press SELECT in the top right, again no pictures are transferred to Google Chats.
At first I thought this might be a Google Chats issue, but I have run into the issue with any app that doesn't have it's own file sharing component built in. For example, I can share files with Signal and Messages just fine.
I have tried Googling this, searching Reddit. I cannot find anyone else even discussing this problem. All my search results turn up instructions on how to share things.
Below is video of issue in action. Video is kind of fast, please refer to my above description to help see what's happening (or not happening) in the video.

I should have mentioned that I tried wiping cache. I even deleted app updates, still same problem. Then downloaded a couple versions of the app from apkmirror, and still same problem.
did you make any tweaks like disabling apps via adb etc?
I've tried with outlook and it works fine using Files to add attachments
Change it from being default app maybe and try some other app instead
I have not disabled apps with adb.

Question No app found - no service available

I'm posting this because I've googled this issue to death and I'm not getting anywhere. Nothing I've seen on there has worked. Maybe one of you guys might point me in the right direction.
The problem occurs happens when trying to export my contacts to a .vcf file using the My Contacts app and my calendar to an .ics file with Simple Calendar Pro.
Contact app says: No app was found to handle this action.
Calendar app says: System service for selecting files and folders in unavailable
While we're talking 2 separate apps and 2 separate types of files, I can't help but think these 2 issues are somehow married to each other.
Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this other than doing a full factory reset?
Is Calendar Storage on your phone?
Contacts storage app is on your phone?
This happens when there no calendar storage app on phone, or its just an app malfunction.
Try stock calendar.

I did that and it's not working either. The contacts app won't export .vcf files either. I also tried to back up my Nova launcher configuration and got a similar message.
Something's wrong somewhere. Oh well....

I'm fairly certain this is a "My Contacts" app issue than a Pixel 7/Android 13 issue; I'm guessing it's because it's not the stock Contacts app or something.

In Android something (a while back, maybe 10 or 9), apps would need special permission to access anything, even on the internal sd directory. This most likely has to do something with that. Most of the time the app states it needs permissions and you have to direct it to the root directory/device and "allow access". I'm trying to remember this from the top of my head, so it is vague, but it's something like this.

I'm curious what shows up when you select "Share" from the stock Contacts app....What do you mean "won't export"? Like through messaging, email, Telegram, Whatsapp, bluetooth, Nearby Share, etc.? All of them?

I just looked all over the stock Contacts app on the Pixel 7 Pro. There are a ton of items to either configure or do other stuff, but nowhere is there anything for sharing. I don't believe the problem is there. I just shared a picture with the Gallery app and it worked.
By "not export" I mean that the Contacts app won't export the contacts to a .vcf file which can be stored as a backup and reimported later. When I try it I get the error message I mentioned. I'm having the same issue with the Calendar app. It will not export to an .ics file. Importing does work, the problem is exporting.
I've checked all permissions for both these app. Everything is allowed and the problem persists. :-(

You need a file explorer to export with do you have the Google Files program frozen/deleted or an alternative installed? I use MiXplorer and the app opens when I export contacts to choose a location to export.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere
I have Files by Google installed and working, as well as Total Commander and X-Plore. All permissions active except for notifications. Shouldn't at least one of these do the trick? Or is there another issue going on somewhere?
Is there something special about MiExplorer that these other proggies lack?

Sorry I should've been more clear i meant an app when viewing all apps in device settings ➡ Show System apps it will be called "Files" or MAYBE I think "Documents UI" the package name is com.google.android.documentsui if you have this installed & enabled I unfortunately don't have any suggestions. I've only had this same problem when accidentally removing this app when debloating my phones. I did freeze it, uninstall MiXplorer and installed both the apps you mentioned and got the same error about exporting. I don't know why it works for me with just MiXplorer and not those other apps though.

When you hold down on a contact, you don't see the "share" option? The 3 dots aligned like a sidewards triangle?

If I hold down on any contact and tap the "share" button, that's the only way it tries to share it -- as a .vcf file; and it offers like 10 options to send/share that .vcf file...

As long as it is given permission to "contacts" and probably "modify system settings" is set to Allowed...that should be enough...
I was able to make a copy of the vcf file through the phone app I checked the folder on Google files so you deffo have a problem have you tried clearing the cache of the apps un installed the apps updates and reinstalled the updates if those don't work I think a back up and factory reset would fix it
It may not be in the contacts app that your solution lies. If I'm understanding correctly. It may be the app that you're trying to import the contacts too. I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly, you're trying to import these things to the simple contacts app? You shouldn't have to do anything with the Google contacts app itself. It's likely to be something you would do on your Google account and not actually in an app but in a browser
Sorry, no idea why that posted twice.

Kudos to you, dude! I googled the package name you mentioned and someplace there was a download link for something called "documentsui-t-frc-doc-3304430". I brought it down and gave it a shot. IT WORKED!! Both the contacts and the calendar file export services work flawlessly. The full name of the package is "com.google.android.documentsui.theme.pixel". It shows up as a system app on the App Manager program. There is no icon anywhere. But hey, it does the job. Thanks for your help.
Now tell me why I'm having trouble updating Windows 11 and installing apps from the Windows Store. Yeah, I know, it's not what we discuss on this forum. But you know quite a bit. Maybe you could point me in the right direction. Once again, googling isn't getting me anywhere.

Hopefully the moderators won't be mad at me for posting this on a Google Pixel Pro forum. I'll try to keep it brief. Hopefully someone can point me elsewhere.
Whenever I try to update something or download from the Windows Store, it gives me a 0x80070001 error. I've been able to download and install updates and store apps manually. The problem is that sometimes this method works and sometimes it doesn't.
I installed something call Windows 10 Privacy. I've been using it since before upgrading to Windows 11. I emailed the developer and he suggested re-enabling all tabs that block telemetry. It didn't work.
I'm convinced that just like the problem I had with the phone, this has to be due to some detail somewhere. But where? Googling hasn't helped. There are billions of suggestions on there to fix the 0x80070001, and none work.
Any ideas..
