You will need special music for it, it needs to come in LPCM, FLAC, ALAC, DSD formats and you also will need special headphones for it, like the MDR-100AAP.

is there an app that would allow me to play lossless audio like flac? if not.. what format should i convert it to in order to maintain that quality?
or would wave.. be the only option to keep that quality?
PowerAMP is the only player I've encountered that can play FLAC, and the poor UI stops me from using it https://market.android.com/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer&feature=related_apps
Once we're rooted though, I'm told Cyanogenmod builds in FLAC support. Android 3.1 is the first version to officially build it in.

Poor UI ? Really ?
I say PowerAmp is THE music app. Fully customizable EQ, flac support and much, much more. I have used it for over a year now and love it. Never listen to someone that says someone else told them. (quoted poster)

Sorry, can't root my HTC Sensation so I can't confirm .
The app andLess plays flac. Free, simple interface, nothing fancy, but works.

Just came across another option listed in a different thread. AudioGalaxy is free, plays flac, and allows streaming all your music from your PC to your phone. I just set it up and it's very cool. Worth checking out.
I had a moment and found the discussion I had read previously regarding FLAC support in Cyanogenmod. It's there, as long as your FLAC files are 16-bit.

Hi,
Is it possible to add the FLAC codec to my GingerBurst HTC Desire? I know some player apps can play it but CyangenMod has the codec built in and I'm thinking maybe it's possible to add it?
I would ask in the GingerBurst ROM thread in the developer forum but not enough posts to be allowed.. (Meh)
Thanks.
Add more codec to Native library
Hi all,
I was wondering on similar lines.
Will we be able to enable native support for more codec, by copying the codec library files to the /system/lib directory?
Are there any other configurations that need to be made in order to tell the device what the library file (added) is about?
I want to be able to use FLAC files as a ringtone. That, I guess, will be possible only when there is native support for FLAC.
I own a XPERIA X10 mini (Rooted)
Thanks in advance.

You'll need to use a custom kernel that includes Voodoo Sound driver.
I don't think froyo can support DSP.
For EQ, you can either use the stock music player or just download Winamp, Playerpro, Poweramp, and etc.

Nope, MegaBassBeats doesn't work on froyo
For radio, just try 5.1 channel, it's a really good sound effect :good: And btw, the stock music player also has equalizer, why not try that?

That's impossible, Froyo can't support those enhancers! I made a experiment myself, and everything is the same I stayed the same place and use the same song to test it

Maybe try the equalizers on PlayerPro or PowerAMP which are both very good music players!
Hi! I just wonder if I could find a way to record the system's audio by the means of any app or so, like i want to record through radio, youtube (audio), various music streaming apps, etc. Pls let me know if there is any. Thanks.

thanks for the best ever video playing app
i want to suggest a feature for mx player.
users who has good quality headphones or the ones who doesnt really care much about sound while playing video songs or mp3 in mx dont need this feature but some users really like to customize sound system including me.
i request mx developers that please add sound enhancement features like plugins (am3d,bongivi dps etc), equalizer etc. in audio settings.

Equalizer, pc support and thanks.
...fans all over the world(Kenyan).
Thanks for the input and detail, I've been using the app since '15.
That equalizer would be the only thing that would make the app lethal.
Wish there was pc support too, preferably linux.
Cheers!
