Guys i am using OPO with official CM build.Only issue i got is my youtube videos are stuttery and jittery within the youtube app.Is there a way to fix it?Like old APK which runs smooth. Also guys which is best kernel for my device i am only interested in increasing the color saturation.
Any help plz.You guys have smooth youtube video playback?
I had no such kind of bugs when I used the official CM build.
I had this problem with Moto e. It was solved by flashing a zip which was exclusively to solve this problem for Moto e I guess.
Try using an older version of youtube.
The solution for the problem on Moto e is http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/themes-apps/solution-moto-e-problem-solved-youtube-t3103144
Try downloading the older version of YouTube provided in the solution above. It may help.

Hi Ive been installing a tonne of ROMs this past few days and the cyanogen ROM is pretty amazing, only problem I have found is the flash video playback within websites is not that good, even the official CM7 Roms have had this problem with choppy flash video.
I have found an update zip in the forums that makes flash video and 720p video playback silky smooth, however it only installs on froyo and when trying to install the update via recorvery on CM7 it comes with an error during process and is ubale to install (doesnt do anything to booting up so didn't affect ROM when unsucessfull)
the link below is where a member posted this 720P playback update zip:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...3&postcount=24
if its possible to adapt the code for installing on CM7 gingerbread, you would have cracked the problem that even the official CM7 ROMS still have,
Your link doesn't work.
Btw. Quarx said he wants to enable hardware accelerated flash on CM7.
hw flash works in nightlys. if you want it to work on older releases replace libstagefright.so or rebuild one from source.
Oh and flash playback is incredibly bad on stock roms. On cm7 nightly 480p is watchable and 720p is only a little choppy while on stock 360p is barely watchable even on leaked 2.3.
And why did you opened a dev tread for that? General is ok but why dev. And working HW flash is stated in the OP of CM7 thread
Havent tried the latest nighlty but if its hardware accelerated must be good. that link was working today as I double checked it but it definitely feels hardware accelrated once zip is applied on a froyo rom not stutter whats so ever, im using BBC news embeded flash videos as a benchmark as they are pretty demanding videos to play with mico choppiness ever 10 seconds without the mentioned update zip
BBC news videos are fluid for me on CM7 nightly. Once it became choppy in full screen, I think some other service was using a lot of CPU at the same time.
heres the correct link from that post with the really good decoder
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11018223&postcount=24
just installed the nightly rom and playback 720p video fine but flash is no where near as good compared to using froyo and this update zip which I tried to install (after testing) on the nightly rom and it gave me continuous loop.
Back to nordic for me.
UPDATE!
Update latest rc0 implements flash hardware decoding, its amazing!
Anyone else having problems with Adobe Flash 11 videos playing all distorted? When I go to youtube or any site with flash videos they appear with green lines and just blurry incomprehensible video while the audio plays fine. This has been happening for awhile, but usually resizing the screen or going from full screen back to "in-browser" would fix the issue but that seemed to stop working. I even tried uninstalling Adobe Flash and re-installing but that didnt help either.
Running Cyanogenmod, not sure if that makes a difference.
Same problem here, but try using different browsers will help.
I got that on cm7 but stock it works fine.

This is a current issue with all CM7 based ROMs. There are a couple of bugs filed on the issue tracker for both the p999 and p990... Vote for them so we can get a fix.

I was able to correct this issue by downgrading from Adobe Flash 11.1 down to 10.3, not a perfect solution of course but better than distorted video.
It seems (from what I can tell) that this issue is related to hardware acceleration in 11.1, because 10.3 uses software acceleration and works just fine.
The version I installed is located in this thread (Flash 10.3 + Hulu_8.apk):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010606
My Configuration:
P999DW
CM7 NIGHTLY 20130301
Mazout GB Kernel (Overclockable) 2.6.32.60
Baseband v21y
Adobe Flash 10.3 w/Hulu_8 Patch
Ever since I rooted my phone I've been getting flash videos issues like I hear the video but no video is showing the only rom that it seems to work fine are the sense roms but I don't like those right now I'm running 255 nightly cm7.
Does anybody have any idea why I might be getting this???

Make sure your Adobe Flash Player is updated to the currnet version. I believe the most current is 11.
First forcestop the Browser. Then using a root file explorer go into /data/data/com.android.browser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flash player/.macro media/Flash_Player/ and locate the config.data file and remove all permissions.
I have a problem with the camera and video hardware to all custom firmware which are based on cyanogenmod kernel. Camera work but does not move and hardware video on player don*t move. On firmware are based on stock all right work. I've tried everything hboot and recovery but result is the same. Install Miui 2.1.6.08 then install kernel UNITY_V9_2.6.35.14 is the only variant when camera well works but hardware video does not work at all. I hope to help developers!

i hope someone could take a look at this and lend a hand. i've got the same problem with my Desire S. Used both MIUI 1.12.30 and then Reaper v1.1, both really good ROMs except for the video playback problem. It does the same when trying to take pictures, the camera preview window would freeze after a couple of seconds but pictures come out ok. same thing when viewing videos through browser or when i try to watch a video file saved in the sd card, video freezes after couple of seconds but audio is totally normal.
yep yep! and what I say
here's another http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441784
Hi all,
I have been updating my wife's Infuse with the unofficial CM10.1 build by Scott. When I first installed my wife's 7/14 build (CM10.1, JB 4.2.2) we have NOT experienced any audio crackling. Several nights ago, my wife encountered the crackling noise in videos she's taken using her camera.
I know the issue has been fixed in 4.3, but since this is the first 4.3, I am not very sure that my wife will be able to deal with a few instabilities here and there (which has been the approach I've been following for my wife's installations; waiting a month or so for each version until it stabilizes a bit).
My question is: Is there a manual way of fixing the audio crackling issue (change a setting, edit a config file, flash a ZIP, etc.) that I can perform in the 07/14 build? Or is it a code change and I'm SOL?
Thanks in advance!

The problem is caused by viper audio. You'd need the app removed and the lib file...it would have to be built without it included ahead of time.. If you have to stay on 4.2.2 downgrade to the first version without viper. If you don't care then just update to 4.3

When you say it would have to be built without it ahead of time do you mean this isnt a modifcation that can be made once the rom is installed?
I would like to use Unofficial CM10.1 - 4.2.2 - 7/14/13 version of this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776129 and not have choppy audio.
I cant upgrade to Unofficial CM10.2 - 4.3 - 8/5/13 because -
Cannot send or receive MMS because of crashing mms aplication
Front facing camera images with high ambient light crashes the camera (crashes or freezes whichever app your using)
Cannot use Titanium Backup to "modify" system applications (a bug in Titanium that only happens on Android 4.3)
Thanks for your help

No, it unfortunately isn't something you can modify on your own. As far as the MMS crashing problem I saw a commit earlier by slimroms that fixes that so Scott will probably add it in by the next build. The other problems will also be fixed in time, 4.3 hasn't been out long...just give it time

Is it possible for someone to create a zip containing the audio crackle fix that can be flashed via CWM? Or is that out of the question?
If someone can pinpoint the library that needs to be updated and with what version (i.e. grabbing a version from a later build), I can look into how to create a flash-able zip to fix the issue. I would appreciate it even more if someone else did it.
