Eh? I didn't face that issue, wait was your battery really low? this might result in you buying a new battery then.

Never Mind, I've Fixed it!
since updating to kitkat my mic volume has been very low, the ok google command, and voice recording in any app is useless unless you hold your mouth 2cm away from the mic. I have rooted and played around with the mixer paths file, and nothing happened. Can anyone tell me how else to fix this problem?
I can confirm the same is happening with my M2 as well. Maybe that's something the .40 release fixes? I'm on .37 atm

I have the same problem
18.3.C.0.37
kitkat 4.4.2
D2306
I returned to JelyBean 4.3
If you have root you can try to download alsamixer and play a little bit with the volumes.
If you find some controls and know what they do, be sure to post it here
Edit: no luck
can anyone upload the mixer_paths_[whatever] files from their /system/etc folder if you are on JB 4.3?
Same problem here.
4.4.2
18.3.C.0.37

Hi, here is my MOD to have a boost on the speaker and headphone volume.
There is two zips, one with a middle boost and another with a high boost.
Flash it through recovery.
What did you set it to? Oh, and thank you!

Yeah, it only works on stock Lollipop of verizon 39A and 802 model
Do you have a zip to flash to revert to stock setting? Just in case.

I was wondering about this, too. I applied the "regular" Volume Boost .zip last night before bed and set my alarm....and SLEPT through it this morning, because my phone wouldn't output any sound at all. I had to reflash the Lollipop Extreme 1.1 ROM that I'm using, then reselect all of my ringtone/notification sounds to get sound working again. Am going to try reflashing the regular Volume Boost .zip later today to see if I can get it working....I do appreciate what you're trying to do here, don't know why Android ROM volume can't just be louder out of the gate....

Officially, no. You may want to wait for oreo to fully roll out and wait for someone to create an app or a mod to be done to have dolby be available for the speaker
You can't have Dolby Atmos with the speaker, because there's only one speaker, and Atmos only works with two speakers. Not really a difficult concept.
I have this since I rooted my phone so yes I have Dolby Atmos. 7.1.1.
