[MOD] Stock Lollipop [Verizon 39A][D802 v30A] Volume boost - G2 Themes and Apps

Hi, here is my MOD to have a boost on the speaker and headphone volume.
There is two zips, one with a middle boost and another with a high boost.
Flash it through recovery.

Yeah, it only works on stock Lollipop of verizon 39A and 802 model

Do you have a zip to flash to revert to stock setting? Just in case.

I was wondering about this, too. I applied the "regular" Volume Boost .zip last night before bed and set my alarm....and SLEPT through it this morning, because my phone wouldn't output any sound at all. I had to reflash the Lollipop Extreme 1.1 ROM that I'm using, then reselect all of my ringtone/notification sounds to get sound working again. Am going to try reflashing the regular Volume Boost .zip later today to see if I can get it working....I do appreciate what you're trying to do here, don't know why Android ROM volume can't just be louder out of the gate....

If your model is not compatible with the mod, upload your stock mixer_gain.xml and mixer_paths.xml located on SYSTEM/ETC and i do a specific mod for your model.

Yes, we know there are volume mods out but thanks for giving a shortcut to the thread to those that can't even root their phone yet.

These guys completely underestimated the power of dev's.
Also good luck on making the mod work on all S7 versions ... it can be very difficult and time consuming. :good:

Yes I believe it was v13 that worked for me pretty well but after these versions I've been hearing people have issues. The reason I use v13 is because it sounds the best to me. You can always test it out anyway and leave your feedback if you do
kind of late to the game, but I just got my samsung galaxy s7 (sm-g930t) and was wondering if there is a working volume fix for this specific model

I've noticed it seems to have a little bit more treble. It doesn't sound as grainy either. Could just be me though......... my bad. If you're talking about the exact same post that he has then yes it's the same one. But if you're talking about the completely different surround mod on the XDA threads then this one is different
It's safe or it could damage the speaker?

Have you flashed a custom kernel? I believe the audio drivers are encompassed in the boot.img but I'm not 100%. I do know that tweaks and mods (e.g. Faux Audio) can be made to the sound from the kernel. Its worth a try .
I reinstalled the stock and returned audio

Any working Sound Mod for EMUI 8?

Hi, is there any working sound mod for emui 8? Currently using SRS TruMedia HD app but I wonder if there are flashable zips or magisk module that works for EMUI 8. Thanks!!

I also WISH there was a sound mod. This phone has the potential to have great sound output but I feel it's not calibrated and can sound far better!
It's boomy, bass heavy but lacks in treble. Needs more treble to set the balance as the bass overpowers it.
Shame Dolby Atmos does not work with the Mate 9. If it did we could at least use the equalizer and manually boost the 8k and 16k values to get more treble!

Amazing, thank you so much, just what I was looking for.
With the above app, not only do you get a 20% boost in audio, you are able to adjust bass & treble, Great mod.

There is something else you can try. Tried it on 3 different devices.
Best thing it does not require root and works on all 3!
In Google Play Store, look for ''Volume Booster'' by GOODEV. It's a red icon. Simply set it to 10% or even 15% and see the difference.
PS. Do not set it too high, the boost really makes a huge difference, careful not to blow your speakers.
Any update on this? Would really like some sound mods for my device, if not Viper than something else... i'm surprised that no one has found a solution yet...

I've used Jet, and found that Equalizer FX is a better option... Sadly not comparable to Viper but it'll have to do. I would pay good money for a working Viper for EMUI8.

It should work. Works on my Honor 8 Lite and also on Honor 6X. If you use Magisk there's a very low chance of bootloop, and you certainly won't brick it. Give it a go, I think it'll work for you!
Yes.... The. so file is in the correct place. I followed the instructions step by step. In fact, after the first time it failed, I uninstalled and went through the procedure again.

I'm on a custom rom. Maybe try installing Resurrection Remix or another custom emui 8-based ROM... Then it'll certainly work. However some people did get it working on stock emui8.
