Same here.... I've been looking all over the Internet for a full housing replacement for my XDA2...
Please, if you know of a place, let us know!!!
Thanks!
doesn't the service center in your area carry these?
I can ask our service center (in the Philippines) within a week or two if they carry these inventory...but I am not sure if they would sell it to me as is because they normally would sell it but they would be the one to install it too.
Then if they do sell it, I can FedEx them to you...should you choose to buy it....
Update you sometime next week.

Wow wildthing, that will be awsome!
The problem is that there is no Service Center in my area (I live in the Mexico/USA border area) so, that will be totally cool if you can find that out for us!
Please keep us posted!
Rayan
The service center in the Philippines is Brightpoint Philippines (you can search their number through the internet).
The details of their quote (via phone):
XDA1 Antenna plastic cap (note I didn't saw the actual yet) - Philippine Peso 400. But there is a catch, they can't sell it as parts (because I am an end-user), so they also have to charge me the "installation fee" even if I (or you) would be the one installing it. The installation fee is PhP 880 (more expensive the actual part). So the total cost is around PhP 1,280.
Right now, 1 US$ = PhP57 roughly
XDA2 Front cover -PhP 1,420, Back cover (black Plastic - not the battery cover) PhP 610. Installation cost is P550. Total cost is around PhP 2,580.
I don't know the cost of shipping yet.
For your comment.
Wow could that be possible????
That's about 50 US Dollars!!!!
Too bad the don't sell the parts... I'll feel reluctant to send my unit...
I'll see if I can find their contact info.
Thanks a million...
actually they would sell the parts (only that you also pay the installation fee).
here is their website
http://www.brightpoint.com/Brightpoint/Philippines/124/English/73/Products/7069.html
Btw those are verbal quotes via phone...who knows my charm can persuade them just to sell the parts without the installation fee. I'll try to visit the shop this weekend if not next week....I am also planning to replace my XDA2 covers (but I want to paint it black) so the finish product will be all black....
Hi Wildthing!
That will be great if you can persuade them to sell the housings without paying for installation!
I can send the old housing if they need me to.
Please keep us posted!
Best regards,
Rayan
what they need is the seria number of the phone...they don't sell unless they register the serial number of the phone....no problem with the xda2 (like yours) because I can use mine instead....but for the xda1, I will need it.
update you soon
Ok!
Keep us posted!
And thanks again!
Hey I also need parts too!!!
HELLO wildthing, Add me to your list of 'spare parts' buddies...I also need parts for mt PDA2K, my phone fell and have very ugly dents but whats worst is the sliding keyboard is broken....SO I NEED YOUR HELP! I guess the more work you bring for then the better the price...I am willing to pay you for your time, as I'm sure you have to go out of your way to get parts
sorry i guys, I haven't been able to visit the parts shop yet....got too busy with work lately....but I'll be going down to the city around nextweek and check what could be done to your needed parts.
BTW what model is your unit youmeus? The ones I have checked earlier is the O2 XDA2 (their first model XDA2).
specifically its the HIMALAYA...is your unit the BLUEANGEL?
yep
Yes I have a blueangel...i-mate PDA2K to be exact, would they have parts for that model?
Hi fellas,
I broke my LCD/touchscreen few weeks back and have been searching for thei replacement since then.
Does anyone knows where to get the LCD & Digitizer for less price?

I would try. My experience so far with Chinese sellers is absolutely positive.
I ordered the Galaxy S6 from Amazon UK theelectronicswarehouseltd, the phone was delivered a few hours ago. The glass on the back covering the flash is shattered, the theelectronicswarehouseltd wants me to send the phone back to them for a refund or replacement, but the phone was delivered to my cousin on my behalf in the UK and I cant ask him to ship it back given his exams are going on and he would fly back to India as soon as they finish and get me the phone, so him shipping it back is not an option.
I would want to know how much will it cost to repair the glass covering the flash on the back of the phone?

I don't see how having your cousin ship the phone back would be a problem , even if exams are on , it only takes max 30 min or so to go to postal office and have it shipped back , or call ups or a company that will pickup the item.

I even paid and scheduled for a reverse pickup and mailed him the print label, says he just cant print and pack.
I am only left with repairing it in India.
Any idea about the cost to fix?
Thanks
Your cousin is an idiot. It will be expensive to repair, it's very good quality glass. Why don't you call up a repair shop instead of asking on here?

Hi everybody,
i live in Washington DC Metro Area, and for the first time since i have a cellphone (Since 1995) my phone felt down and i had a big punch in my screen. It only felt 5 inches, but good enough to break the screen.
I have called Sony Support, and they told me to call the seller (amazon) or to contact my favourite local repairing center.
I dont know you but i have and i dont want to have a favourite local repairing center. Do anyone has one?
Where should i go?
i can tell you say something about Sony Xperia phones, i love them, Sony should have a better share of the US Market, but i just learnt why they dont. Because the closest center is in MEXICO!!!!!
So because i have banned Apple and Samsung, and now (while i live in the US) to Sony as well, i will have to go back to Motorola.
unless someone tell me where to fix my screen. PLEASE!!! HELP ON THIS!!!
you live in DC and you dont have a sony center to help fix your phone?
2 options, one youre gonna have to send it to fix and wait a while i dont think the closest is only in mexico i think you should find sony support center in a closer area search a lil more, or call them to ask for a closer area
or if youre gonna give the phone up and buy a new one, then might as well at least try to buy a screen your self and do it on your own i mean if youre planning on switching phones it wouldnt hurt to pay 50-100$ and fix it your self with water proofing glue when putting back the pieces that way youd get back to a good phone with a lot lesser money than to pay for a new phone. but if its about waiting a while for send a recieve that what worries you then you can always get a cheap backup phone to make calls and messages and just send your phone through the post office or through a send out with sony supprt i think they should come pick it up but because of the problems with mexico so im guessing post office is your only choice
What did your phone feel? :silly:
I asked Sony recently about a loose volume button, and they said their nearest repair center (to me) is in Woodridge, IL. That is a bit closer than Mexico, but you are still probably looking at a minimum of two weeks without the phone. Getting the screen replaced is probably cheaper than buying a new phone. You can pop your sim into a old phone you might have lying around or pick up a cheap burner from 7/11 or something to get by for two weeks. Good luck.
UBreakIFix has 3 locations in the DC area. I have used their service in the past and they do a great job. U call them to see if they can help
