Hey guys!
Does anybody know where i could buy an original OEM usb cable for SM-T800 (possibly a store which ships to europe)?
I've googled around, but I found nothing but copies after reading comments?
I scanned the q-code off the plastic that came wrapped around my T800 data cable "GH39-01580A"
http://www.samsungparts.com/Products/Parts_and_Accessories/PID-GH39-01580A.aspx
EDIT: I have ordered a few cheap cables from china/hong-kong everything from 1.5ft to 10ft for my solar panel, look for "28/24AWG" which is the thickness of the wires as well as reviews.
John.
Great! Thanks
Do you know if there is any difference with ECB-DU4EWE?
It`s a number that is on my oem cable plastic wrap "ECB-DU4EWE" and "SW1FA06VS E" and the q-code printed on it is "GH39-01580A" , I suppose any of these numbers will give you the same cable, getting an oem and not a fake is another matter.
I just measured my cable it is 1.5m
I bought an cable off Amazon UK using "ECB-DU4EWE" when i bought my T800 just before Christmas, it is around 6" shorter but is the same quality and charges just as fast as the original one, I checked my Amazon account to buy another, but all i get was a different seller and the cable was black not white, so i am not buying that.
As i said, I have bought a few cheap cables from 1.5ft to 10ft and i will see how fast they charge my T800 when they are delivered, if we cannot find an oem cable, then maybe i can find a quality alternatives.

Thank you for your answers
The link below is an explanation on why cable length and quality can lead to slow charging speeds, it`s a bit had on the head, so it`s not for everybody, but some might find it interesting i did, but i think i will have to read it a few times to understand it fully.
http://goughlui.com/2014/10/01/usb-cable-resistance-why-your-phonetablet-might-be-charging-slow/
John.
I bought a couple of the "mains wall sockets" with usb charging sockets built in, there is a lot of rubbish (slow charging) and dangerous version from china, I know this because i bought a couple and the earth connection did not connect to the earth pin on an UK plug (which is very dangerous) i got a full refund after i told the seller about my problem.
So i decided to do some research and buy some good quality usb mains sockets, I found an UK eBay seller, selling some with good specification and UK certified and , so i bought two sets of 2.4amp usb mains sockets, see photo below, I have seen 1.0 amp usb sockets all the way to 4.8 amp (supposedly i have not been able to find any) the amps are shared between two usb sockets.
So i installed them and tried charging my Tab S 10.5" and i think it was charging at 1.6amp according to (galaxy charging current app) after about 30min the charging stopped, the usb wall socket had shut itself down (died) but after 10min it came back to life, but i continued to die when charging my Tab S after charging any-ware between 5-30min , my other usb mains wall socket worked fine, so i contacted the seller and they said they had sold thousands and had only had five faulty ones, so they sent me a replacement.
While i was waiting for the replacement, I bought an "usb power meter" £6 and an "usb switchable 1amp/2amp load" £1 from eBay to test my replacement wall socket.
So i tested the replacement and it worked fine, I tested it for 1hr at 2amp my usb meter showed 1.9amp but close enough so it passed.
Now i had an "usb power meter" i can check how much power my Tab S 10.5" is pulling from the usb wall socket when using different micro usb cables.
The quality of the micro usb cable and the length determines how fast your Tab S will charge, I have measured 400ma with cheap poor quality cables up to 1740ma with the usb cable that came with my Tab S.
If you are looking to buy some "usb mains sockets" a good placed to buy is Amazon for your country, as the reviews (if real) are the best way to judge which one to buy, some usb wall sockets the usb port works fine for a few weeks then dies, this seems to be an common fault, so buy from somewhere you can easily get a refund/replacement.
Anyway the photo below is of an UK (dual gang usb mains socket)
John.

I recently gave a try with a belkin usb cable from a friend of mine, and it charges at 1400mA, pretty much what I had with a huawei cable,
With my default cable, it charges around 500mA.
I didn't try any wall usb socket, but I don't know much things about how to install it and stuff, so i'll probably pass this for the moment
Interesting to know, though
By Default cable do you mean the Samsung cable that came with your Tab S ??
I am charging at 1750mA with the cable that came with my Soshine usb power bank, according to my usb power meter on my T800, the software power meter are not very reliable but better than nothing.
I found an app called "nova battery tester 1.37mb" it`s not on GP any more you have to search for it, It tests your battery capacity it take approx 1hr30m and it puts you display brightness at 100% i tried it on my old Samsung S3 and HTC EVO 3D and it said my battery`s capacity was 100% but your device needs to be supported, it checks online for the specs, I have not tried it on my T800 it is most likely not compatible.

Yes, I meant the one that came with the tab
With my original cable, I can charge around 1500mah.
With a compatible cable like Remax, it's only around 1300-1400mah.
The worse I've tried is around 500mah.
What makes an original cable charge faster btw?
Basically the original cable has thicker better quality power wires, have a read of the link below.

Ahhh... But wouldn't high quality branded compatible cables have similar qualities?
Yes, but you will need to try them to be certain, Stick to short cables, the longer they are the slower they charge this happens to even the best quality cables, read the link i posted.

I am not sure why this discussion even exists. Just buy/use any brand name micro-usb cable (anker, monoprice, etc). My T800 worked well with all micro-usb cables except for those silly cables that came with the charger for a set of flimsy wireless headphones.
I have my T800 in an hard case and this makes it difficult to connect the standard cable as it`s now 5mm inside the case, So i bought one of those magnetic cables and i have been using it for well over a years and it`s great, I don't even need to look, It pulls itself into position with a satisfying click and i get an 1.69A charge rate.
Not all brands magnetic cables give a good charge rate, so read the reviews before you buy and from somewhere you can return it, if you get a poor charge rate.

I have tried using a cheap car-lighter-USB adapter, which has 1000mAh written on it... but it still doesn't do the job. (GPS+Data+Screen on)...
The battery does not charge, but it looses power.
Well, I only payed £2.90 for it (transport included) on e-bay...
I am looking for a more expensive one, but I need to make sure it does the job...
Can anyone recommend one?
Later update:
My cheap charger from e-bay, started smelling of burnt plastic. When I opened it up, I sau that the spring that was pushing the Vcc contact was touching the plastic case, which started to melt...
I had one sent to me by mobiles.co.uk which is labelled as a carphonewarehouse one.
Seems to charge it OK when using copilot.
i bought the original HTC car charger for 20euros, and i think its the best (although a bit expensive), since the charger is really small and neat with white led HTC letters, and you can remove the usb to micro usb cable to use it in a pc (i have never tried that though).
I looked for a standalone cable and usb adapter and the price would be almost identical with the OEM charger, so i think its the best deal.
Cheers,
T.

Maplins (in the UK) do a very small USB car charger that works well in my Audi A5 and my Mazda MX-5. Good tight fit and the packaging states input of 12-24V DC and output of 5V DC at 1 Amp.
Maplins code A50JK. Currently on special offer at £5.99 each instead of £8.99.
Thanks for that. Have you used it with a Desire?
For now I've ordered a miniUSB-female -> USB female adapater, and will try to use it with the car-charger of my SatNav which has a miniUSB plug... and outputs 1.2A
I don't think the higher current will damage the battery, especially that the phone will be always ON. Anybody knows different?

You should always buy ones that can supply higher currents. If a charger/power supply can supply higher currents (at the same voltage as required), it is a good thing. Thats why most of the time, more expensive ones can supply higher currents and cheaper ones cant cope when the current demand is high.
It is the voltage difference you should avoid. But if the voltage is same ie 5 volts in this case, then just go for one that can supply higher current.
hope that helps.
The reason I was asking is because I remember reading somewhere that charging a battery with low current is healthier for the battery, so I am not too keen on using something that outputs higher current than the original charger...

Hey was just looking on ebay and came across this
sorry i just found out i cant post links but its ebay number 170450658461.
It says its rated at 5v +/-5% and 1.5A so should be plenty, also worth noting this is a dual charger, so i can charge my phone and perhaps have my proper sat av going if i want or ipod or what have you.
might order it for £2.30 delivered
I bought this one from local Maplin store last night
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=267947
Has a retractable MINIusb lead and a standard usb socket to plug your micro lead into. Can charge 2 devices at once too.
Seems to work fine although not had a chance to test it with the phone under constant drain (satnav) yet. 1A output should be enough though.

Is the retractable miniusb lead able to plug directly ito the desire? if it is, do you think its long enough?
Afc, the retractable lead is miniusb not micro so no it won't. I've heard there are mini to micro converters so that would let you use it that way, not searched for them yet so no idea where from.
The retractable lead is 75cm long. I suppose it depends where your accessory socket is and where you mount your phone in your car. For me that would be fine, socket is just at bottom of dash and phone mounted on a vent holder (cheapo Tesco one for now) in my ferrari enzo (its the one that looks a lot like a Ford focus )
I am using my original Satnav car charger (rated 1.2 A).
This has a miniUSB connector, so I bought a miniUsb female -> USB female adaptor, and shorted the data lines together. And I am using a USB to micro USB cable to connect to the phone.
Now it works like a charm. Charges about 5% of battery for every 20 minutes of use with GPS + NAVIGATION + DATA + SCREEN FULL BRIGHTNESS on.
I don't know why I didn't think about it before buying the cheap car-charger with a USB port from ebay (the one that started melting, and wasn't even charging properly with everything on even if it was rated 1000mA).
Maybe this may be of use to someone...
Update on the maplin charger I mentioned earlier. 40 min journey the battery lost 5% charge going to buy a converter for my tomtom charger I think. Another 10 quid down the drain.

If you short the data pins on the Maplin charger then it provides enough charge to keep everything going.
It's actually the phone that's the culprit. It will only take 500ma when on charge via usb, but will take about 900ma when on ac. By shorting the data pins on the charger you fool the phone in to believing it is on AC charge, so it takes more from the charger. If you're going to short the data pins on a charger you must make sure its rated at least 1A.
I have the Maplin charger (the one that Reb1 posted an image of on page 1) and can confirm that shorting the data pins works.
Aaahhh, interesting post!
Have soldered the centre pins on my maplin charger (the dual one with the retractable lead) will test it as soon as I need to drive some distance.
Assuming it works thanks very much

Soldered the 2 centre connections together on the back of the usb socket in my car charger. Took it for a 30 minute triip this evening, had navigation software running, music playing, gps, WiFi, 3g - the lot. Gained 10% charge when I arrived! Stunned and very gratefully for the advice, thanks mate

with something like this:
It's just a USB charger so, in theory, you should just be able to buy one and use the supplied micro USB lead.
That's the theory but I've just tried it and got some unusual results.
The supplied HP charger is 5.3v 2A. I used a cheap Chinese USB charger that I got from eBay that says it produces 5.0v 1A. It charged the battery but if you try and use the tablet while it's on charge you get deadspots on the screen, random multitouch gestures (most noticable in the browser) and slight freezes and stuttering. If I unplug the touchpad and run it on battery it works perfecty and if I use the supplied HP charger it also works flawlessly.
Moral of the story - make sure the charger you use is man enough for the task. HP sell a travel charger kit, you might be easier to just get that.
That's probably because the rating is at 1A. Plus you did say it's a "cheap chinese charger".
Just use any decent USB charger that matches the power requirement of the unit and it should suffice.
Why don't you try getting a converter? All mobile products come with universal chargers that support 110v to 220v

Hi,
my european HP Touchpad-Powersupply hast 5V/2Ah so a normal USB-Power-Supply wouldnt have enough power.
But you could convert, at your own risk, a 5V power supply from a active USB-Hub to power the USB-A Connector
take a look at pinouts . ru / Slots / USB_pinout.shtml
If you are in the UK, Maplin have USB chargers rated at 5V 2.1A that should do the trick.
unfortunately i ordered mine from amazon.com so i guess its the US version and as you can see under my avatar im from greece so no maplin for me :S
Can anyone check what is printed on Touchpad charger (USA version)?
Does it says 100-240v input?
If so, you can use this "converter" without any problems, I use it with my HTC charger (but it is printed 100-240v)....

edit: i just ordered one, hopefully it will end my problem

You can find this converter almost anywhere (if you can't order it from DX, btw shipping is free ), try your local electronic stores.

i already ordered it from DX since it was so cheap but i have some fears since it looks kinda 'cheap'? i dont want it getting fried, you know
I got mine yesterday and it seems the microusb cable has a short in it...as it doesnt work properly and wont charge. I tried using my old BB microusb and it wouldnt work becasue its a type A microusb, and the HP Touchpad uses a type b micro usb. I am having it replaced under warranty but I went ahead and ordered a few more from meritline, and they are easily found all over the web. For right now im using my old evo microusb until the new ones arrive.
Make sure you get a microusb 2.0 type b if you plan to replace the cable.

Don't worry I have like 10 of them from DX, all working perfectly
In fact this is not converter, what it does it simply change a shape of flat to round (for 220v), rest is done by the charger itself, as it support 220v...
5.3?
Most of my other USB chargers are exactly 5.0V and only change the Amperage... usually from 0.5 to 1A but there the more the merrier, right?
This is the first one with >5.0V
Can i charge my other stuff with it? i'm still scared to plug my nexus one to it... always thought usb specs were 5.0-sharp-Volts.
sorry if this seems like thread hijack... it probably is
It'll work just fine. The USB specification is for power output devices to deliver and for consumer devices to accept voltage between 4.75v and 5.25v.

Ah that... is a viable thought. Didn't think of that. Will this affect how it charges? I have been reading the reviews for the normal longer 30 pin cables not charger as quickly/failing file transfers.
Any input on this option would be great! This seems much simpler than buying an entire 30 pin cable.

Yes bundle cable is too short
I'm not terribly concerned with length but I would like to get some additional cables. Anyone had any good luck with getting charging cables? I couldn't care less about data transfer (that's what Dropbox/Box/Google Docs is for IMO, plus I store most things on the MicroSD anyway & can pop that out into a reader in a pinch easy enough, I've got several "turn old smaller capacity MicroSD cards into thumbdrives" type things around). I've only had the 7+ for a few days and I'm getting really tired of having to always charge it in the same place. I found the information that some of the negative reviews were possibly because the power sources they were using may not have been delivering the required 2 amps, thus resulting in X on battery but possibly still trickle charging. I have a wall-to-usb plug that indicates it is 2 amp as well as a car outlet one, OEM cord does not like the wall plug, haven't tried the car one yet. Planning several road trips and really want to have backup charging. Don't like the OEM plug, I'm not going overseas and don't need the darn thing to be able to swap prongs (just increases the likelihood of one of my kids messing up the device or losing the prongs I need)

im using the cheapest one and have no problem
I bought a 6.5 foot one off of Amazon
I purchased a 6.5 foot cable by "Juiced Systems" off of Amazon. From what I understand, there was an issue with an older version of this cable not charging the unit quickly enough. I purchased to 2.0 version of this cable which fixes that problem and can verify that my GT 7+ charges at pretty much the same rate that the stock (shorter) cable charged at. I have also used this cable when doing large file data transfers via my PC and Kies (also used it to do the firmware upgrade via Kies) and have not experienced poor data transfer rates when utilizing the cable in this manner. It appears that the 2.0 version of this cable has resolved the complaints that some people had when using the 1.0 version of the cable. My only complaint is that the price ($19.99) is a bit high for a USB cable (even with a proprietary connector on one end). The cable is currently on sale for $14.99 right now and while that still seems just a tad highly priced, it beats paying $19.99 and is worth the cost just to ditch the ridiculously short stock cable that came with the unit.
Note: I would have been happy to supply a link to the page on Amazon where you can purchase or get more info on the cable but cannot because I am new on this site and this is only my 3rd post.

we exactly got the same usb extension cable..
Re: extension
When I first got my tab, I tried using 4 different USB extension cables for charging/mtp connection, but none of them worked... then I got a blue USB 3.0 cable off amazon for $6 (from the seller cmple) and it has been working perfectly. I also purchased an extra Samsung oem charger+cable for $12 brand new and shipped. The reviews weren't consistant on Amazon for the 6ft non OEM proprietary cable, so that is why I went this route.

I agree with lau. I didn't want to get that one either and the 6ft extension cable has been working wonderfully. I just have the cable go behind my desk and lay it under my monitor. That way when I need it for my tab or something else it is right there.
I just ordered this 6 foot cable from Amazon, $7- http://www.amazon.com/KHOMO-Super-Charging-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B005IR2J2M/ref=pd_rhf_ee_shvl3
Looks like it could be a good option.
Hey guys just picked up a 7.0 plus after going through, well a lot of tablets. Hoping this id the ONE. Anyway I noticed how short the usb was and found this thread. I go here for all my cables. Seriously cheap and very good quality. Overnight shipping under $6. I know it sounds like I work there but I dont, just wanted to recommend them. Im probably getting this one.
I'm looking to buy a few micro usb cables to have that will work with my Galaxy S4 and my Spigen Neo Hybrid case. Because of this I need to get one of the Slim OEM Samsung chargers.
I've gotten the warning on my phone a couple times that the phone is being charged slow, and for a faster charge, I should use the USB cable that came with the phone. Does the charging speed depend on the actual USB cable or the AC adapter it plugs into (or both)? The reason I ask is that I'm using some older adapters I had laying around the house (I actually don't have the adapter that came with the phone).
I'm looking at getting this cable off eBay for cheap, since it looks like it has the slim connector
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Samsung..._PDA_Cables_Adapters&var=&hash=item19e1e43753
I know this is just a generic one, I just didn't know if there is something specific I need to look for in a cable, or if I can just get a high speed AC adapter for it and it would hypothetically work just the same.
I am aware that the S4 supports charging at the higher amperage rate (I have also purchased an Anker car charger for that).
If anyone can help me understand this better I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
~J

It boils down to the adapter the stock charger is a 2.0amp "fast charging". I have had several stock cables fail only a few months of use each. Cheaper cables for charging only and for data transfer it's a different cable a little more in price but not much.
Most chargers car and home are 1amp / slower charging and sometimes don't charge when using the phone with screen brightness up / gps etc. Just check for 2.0 Amp output chargers. Cheap USB cables varry by brand some break fast some last. I'm still using my old gs2 USB cable. Good luck happy hunting.
There's some wire pair that needs to be crossed in the cable for the cable to run at a higher charging rate.
The longer the cable, the crappier it will charge. I have several different brands of 10' cables ebay, monoprice, etc and they barely charge at 300-500mA.
I'd go for a 3' for 4.5' cable. Even the 6' doesn't do so well for me.
Monoprice sells pretty quality cables. Avoid ebay.

I'm trying to find one with the slim end that will fit in my new hybrid case, that's the only reason I'd consider eBay. I'll double check monoprice

Use an exacto knife and make the hole bigger on your case.. don't let the case be a gate to a proper cable.

For fast charging, you'll need both a 2A charger as well as a high-quality charging cable. If you want to know more, the thread Findings on Galaxy S4 charging current makes for some interesting reading.
Figured I'd just ask this question here in this thread instead of making my own. I see the post above saying that the longer the cable is the crappier the charge will be. That's definitely the case because I bought a 10 foot charger from a gas station knowing it'd probably be chappy but thinking it would at least charge the phone. No go, with moderate use the phone would actually lose charge while connected to the 10 foot chrager.
My question is this...are there any quality 10 foot chargers out there? Also would using a higher amp adapter help with the longer cables or is that going to be a safety issue?

I use power tools a lot for work and keeping power to them is important. A thin power cord will result in tools losing power or burning up the tool by low amperage. I use 10 to 12 hauge when going anything over 25 ft and if you don't know that's a thick cord. the cord on a standard computer is 16-18 gauge wire as a comparison Better cords will result in better results. Cut the case, i had to as well as my headphone jack to accept my plug for my radio. was easier and it doesnt affect the case at all.
Amazon has BlackBerry 1.8A chargers with a 6ft cord. Like $4 each. They work excellent.
Hello,
I got a great discount from <MODERATOR EDITED - SPAM LINK REMOVED> on a USB Type C charger & USB Type C - Type C cable bundle for an unbiased review.
I had to pay a few Euro though but that was ok for me since it is always good to have some spare chargers & cables, just in case the stock ones break
CHOETECH USB Type C Charger:
<MODERATOR EDITED - SPAM LINK REMOVED>
The charger is slighty bigger in comparison to the stock charger you get from Google when you buy a Nexus 6P device.
The build quality is nice, I didn´t see any sharp edges. The text markings are easy to read too.
This charger can deliver a max. power output of 18W at following values: 5V @ 3A, 9V @ 2A or 12V @ 1.5A

CHOETECH USB Type C - Type C Cable:
<MODERATOR EDITED - SPAM LINK REMOVED>
I got the 1m version of this cable. There is not much to say about it, it looks good and seems to be of a similar quality like the stock USB Type C - Type C cable you get from Google when you buy a Nexus 6P device.
Both plugs have a <MODERATOR EDITED - SPAM LINK REMOVED> text engraved into the plugs. The contacts seem to fit well, the diameter seems to be the same like the stock cable.

Tests:
I used the App Ampere for the tests in order to have a good guess, if the charger and the cable is a good replacement for the stock accessories.
I got similar values, even when I combined all pieces together. It seems that these items can deliver what CHOETECH mentions in the descriptions.
The phone is charged fast and the best readout I could get was about 2950mA which is pretty close to the 3000mA you would expect in theory.
The charger feels quite warm in comparison to the stock charger but I guess it´s still ok.
I´m happy with these items and I hope that these will last for a while.
Did you make similar experiences too ?
I can confirm this. Bought the charger and a 2m cable one month ago and I'm still very happy.
That´s great to hear. Any more opinions ?
I´m waiting for mine. This is really good replacement product..
Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents into the discussion.
I got these CHOETECH cables to review and I was quite impressed with them. In all honesty they performed identically to the cable that came with my 6p. I noticed that my phone wasn't charging as fast as it was advertised (with both stock and CHOETECH cables) and was a little confused by it. I'm a musician and travel alot and on a recent trip I charged up in my hotel room and it was as fast as advertised (0-100% in about 97 minutes). It was then that I realised the issue may be with the power at my house.
Anyhow, if you're in the market for some additional cables to add to your arsenal, these are a worthy addition!
I did the following combinations:
CHOETECH charger + CHOETECH cable: The peak current shown by Ampere was about 2950mA, this combination charges the phone as fast as the stock items.
CHOETECH charger + Stock cable: The peak current was also around 2950mA or slightly lower. This combination also worked well, I couldn´t see any differences.
Stock charger + CHOETECH cable: The peak current was also near 2950mA. The phone also charged fast.
Now there are a few things to consider:
1) Ampere or similar tools are not 100% precise and can only be used to get a good guess if everything works out fine.
2) Even the slightest mechanical variation of the cable can also increase the resistance of the cable and lower the output voltage and the current. This can be tricky with USB Type C but the tolerances are so small that you might never notice a decrease of performance around 1-2%.
3) The built in battery doesn´t have a 100% exact capacity of 3450mAh. It can also have a slight +- tolerance which will affect the time measured to charge it.
Most people won´t check the exact time needed anyway It doesn´t matter if your phone needs 1,5 hours to charge from 3% -> 100% or 1,49 hours
I bought the chotech charger and 2 cables pack. Its working fine, but the cables don't seem to seat very well within the type c fitting in the ac adapter. They wobble. The stock ac adapter and cable are very solid. Wonder if anyone else's like that. The wobbly fit doesn't fill me with complete assurance and confidence over time.
I have this charger. I'm happy with the purchase. Recommended.
Choetech
After doing a few weeks of testing with the latest Choetech Type-C to C *9.9ft(3M) cable and the Type-C 2.0 rapid travel charger, I think it's time I say a few words about them.
From my first impressions I was like wow this cable is super long. *Which could be a good or bad thing. I've been using stock cables for all my devices for a long time, and they have all been 3 to 4ft long. Which in today's world not long enough and not really logical if you need to have it behind a desk or while using it.
But anyways the cable is very nice and it actually snaps into my Nexus 6p. You can literally hang your *device from the cable without it falling to the ground. I tested the cable with CheckR app and it is approved and never had a issue charging my precious Nexus.
*Now for the charger not much I can say about it except that it just works. Charges my device from 5% to 100 in just over a hour. My Nexus says its charging rapidly on the lock screen. I have noticed sometimes when the charger is working really hard it makes a slight buzzing sound. But once the device gets to a certain percentage it stops. Now this isn't all the time just every so often. But it never effected charging. I highly recommend you all purchase these two products. You won't be dissatisfied.

Let this Google employee help you find a USB Type-C cable
I have bought 2 USB-C cables to USB 3-A & one did not click in to Nexus 5x & the other one says Slow charging?
Did you buy these Choetech versions of another brand, what charger brick are you using.

The buzzing sound while charging kinda worries me. anyone else? aside from that, and the heat it puts out it seems to work fine.

I talked to them last night. They have a new model that fixes that. Give them a email back if you purchased from Amazon. And if you buy a new one today you'll get the latest model from Choetech

The buzzing sound might be the result of saturation of the transformer built inside. I didn´t notice any buzzing since I didn´t put my ear next to the charger
A newer revision is always nice to have

I checked my unit again and I can confirm a slight buzzing noise. It is barely audible though, you really have to put your ear next to the charger. I think this is something common with most chargers and as long as the device works, I would not care too much about it
