I usually play on my game pc with a sony dualshock 4 trough a software called inputmapper (it makes the sony dualshock 4 acts as a legit xbox controller without tweaking)
My question:
When i wan to use the Nvidia shield tablet to stream, my steam games from pc with a native resolution 1080 60p, is it possible to connect multiple sony dualshock 4 controllers to play the games without anny tweaking into the shield tablet ??
please let me know, cuz for this reason i want to buy a shield tablet, someone please confirm and let me know

Heya all,
I thought I'd ask quickly if anyone else thinks WP7 could use an official MS gamepad. Considering the level of gaming that we could potentially be experiencing on our devices, I'd think a gamepad would be a must! Even if it were just a regular 360 controller that links with the phone, it would have a place in my bag/pocket.
Alex
a 360 controller won't connect to the phone because the xbox controllers don't use BT to connect like the wii and ps3 remotes.
I also wouldn't mind some sort of official controller, but I haven't seen one yet for any phone and I doubt microsoft will allow one.
er, theres no way i could fit an xbox controller in my pocket.
Has anybody managed to make the Sony apps available for other tablets yet. I'd be very keen to use the ps3 apps on my motorola xoom.
What apps are you talking about? Ihave a tablet s and have yet to see any PS3 app!
the Sony website talks of an app to connect to a ps3 and to a sixaxis controller to play ps 3 games on the tablet....
The main challenge with streaming from a non nvidia or lower grade nvidia gpu is
xinput.
Despite streaming the game flawlessly Controller support does not work on the shield gamepad natively, they just work as keyboard WASD etc buttons for playing games which is not comfortable.
Is it possible to overcome this limitation by getting SHIELD recognized as a 360 controller/detected as a xinput device.
This would complete the gaming experience. Somehow this is done in GFE and shield's native streaming.
Not sure what you mean. Are you trying to use the native nvidia streaming or something else? If it is something else you can try to use the xbox360 controller emulator.

streaming via splastop, and I want to emulate the 360 controlled on the shield gamepad.
example
I connect 360 controller to pc, now the game will work with controller support on.
I stream the game to my shield, But i dont want to use the attached controller on the pc, I want to emulate the controller on my shield.
Don't know any way to do that one.
Kainy does this perfectly! And has many other great features. Say goodbye to x360ce!
So I'm sure this question has been asked and answered but I'd like to use a PS3 controller (or possibly another Bluetooth controller) on my Shield but I'm not sure how. I wanna be able to sit on the couch and play emulators without looking at one screen in my face and be able to play games multiplayer. Help would me much appreciated. I'm semi-new to Android. Before owning the shield I had a phone for a bit last year but couldn't get a controller to work on that either.
I also would like to try that.
with ipega or moga controller.
Don't know about the PS3 controller, but I use the OnLive BY controller and use the HDMI port on SHIELD to my TV...

Yes, works great.
You can use also a Xbox controller with a USB receiver.
If you want to use the PS3 controller you have to root your shield and use the famous sixaxis app from google play. To use the Xbox controller you don't need to root, because you're actually connecting the receiver to the USB in the shield.
Now that I tried both I prefer PS3 controller, because involves less cables and with the sixaxis app you can map buttons and change a lot of things.
I created a thread about gamepads here:

NVidia Shield acting as a "controller" for other devices and cross device syncing
Hey Guys,
I have searched and would like to know 2 things:
1) Can the Shield be used as a simple bluetooth controller for other devices? Say I want to play a game on a larger tablet. I know in console mode the other way can work (another blue controller controls the shield), but I want to know if the shield can control say a nexus 10.
2) Is it easy to have cross device syncing of emulators? I want to play say, Mario 64 on my shield on the bus ride home and then switch to my larger tablet and continue.
Thanks guys!

I dont think so, well at least Nvidia doesnt say any word on it in their features. But I guess with some additional software and/or maybe Root it will be possible, but why would you need it to act as a Just Controller ? I mean 250$ controller too expensive, dont you think? You can play any Android games on it, so you dont need controller for Android tablets, Xbox360 doesnt have bluetooth, PS3 has its own controller which is much cheaper and I think even better. If you plan on using it for PC games, whats a point if you can Stream PC games to Shield and play on TV in other room?
