Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
You have something wrong with the hardware, that will have to be repaired at a shop. XDA can help you if it is software related.

[Q] Flip Case, Galaxy Edge Issues. Help please

Hi I need some help, with a minor annoance.
I have a galaxy note edge with a flip case, when i have the case on and it shut the edge of the screen shows as normal. But once i swipe my finder along to edge (whilst its locked and the case is shut) its meant to bring up a news feed like thing on the edge. It does do this but the orientation is around the wrong way (it faces inwards towards the phone) and i have to pick the phone up and rotate it in order for it to switch around (every time). If you take the case off it works as normal. Has any one found a fix because its got me stumped at the moment and I would appreciate it if you could let me know how to fix it.
Thanks

No there is no real fix yet for this unless you put the phone into left-handed mode and use the phone upside-down.

Galaxy S6 Front Facing Camera Problems.

Hello everyone. I don't know if I'm within the rule book while starting this new thread. But after about half an hour of search, I couldn't find an appropriate thread to post my problem. So I thought creating a new thread would help. Sorry again, if I'm breaking any rule.
So I bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on the 3rd of August. Took it home, set it up, and just out of curiosity, compared it with another Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the family. To my utter shock, I found out that the front facing camera on the newly purchased Edge was not as good as the one on the older ones. It was foggy and a lot whitish. The skin tones were coming out different and the colors looked washed out too. And in a relatively dark room, I felt the new Edge didn't let as much light in as the older ones did. I immediately reported it to the service centre and after a lot of speculations and contemplations and prejudice, it was finally replaced. I got a DOA Certificate issued. I took it to the dealer I got the S6 Edge from and this time decided to go for a Galaxy S6. I set it up, got it updated from the service centre to Android 5.1.1. So now, I have this newly purchased Galaxy S6 and the older Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in the family. I again compared mine with the other two, this time with a bit of apprehension rather than curiosity. Needless to say and shockingly enough, this Galaxy S6 is pretty much like the S6 Edge I got replaced. The Images look darker, skin tone doesn't look fresh, feels like it's not allowing as much light in as it should. Let me mention the fact that the older S6 Edge and S6 have absolutely same front facing cameras. Not even a thin line difference there.
There are conditions where (especially outdoors during daytime) the three front facing cameras perform almost the same. It is when you come indoors that the new S6's camera takes a beating. I don't know what the reason is. All three of them boot the same Android 5.1.1. The Display settings are the same (there's no question of it as I clicked images and put them on my Laptop to compare) and so are the Camera settings. I even reset the new S6 to no avail.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the two back-to-back Phones had a problem, if at all it is a problem that is! Or is it that Sammy has started optimizing their front facing cams differently? The S6 Edge was manufactured in May 2015 whereas the replacement S6 got was manufactured in March 2015. No connection whatsoever there. And yes, the display tone on the S6 Edge is slightly warmer. The older S6 has a different display and the newer one is yet again in its own territory.
Will really appreciate any help from any one.
Should I report this to the service centre? Or are there any solutions?
The battery life is ridiculous too, especially after I got it updated to Android 5.1.1.
Thanks again.
Kind regards.

Older Galaxy S6s had a different camera module, they used a Sony module.
Newer Galaxy S6 uses a Samsung module.
A lot of people prefer the older Sony cameras.

I think he is talking about the front camera. Its the rear facing camera that has got two modules, The Sony IMX and the Samsung ISOCELL. Regarding the front camera, we still dont have proper information as to which is which.

[Completed] Bluish tint on top portion of lock screen of galaxy S6

Recently I noticed that there is a bluish tint on the top of the lock screen and a greyish tint on the bottom of the lock screen of my Galaxy S6 no matter what lock animation is set. Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
That seems to me to be a hardware issue, not software, if that is the case then XDA will not be able to help you, that would have to be done by you or a repair shop.
Try posting your question in the forum linked below on the odd chance that you have software issues instead of hardware issues.

[Completed] Samsung Note Edge defective screen

Hi there, I have purchased Samsung Note Edge last year. It worked fine until February then it got one thin hairline vertical line in the middle of the screen, it was there for a week and disappeared. Then came and become 2 lines, after few weeks the screen had 5 lines, I was under the impression that it will be covered under warranty as HTC repaired my brother's phone when his phone screen got blacked out. In May my phone got like 50 vertical lines on the screen, reset but no use. When I went to Samsung Service center in Kukatpally, the representative said it can't be covered under warranty as the screen is pixellated, I have sent an email to the executive team of Samsung with reference # 2135672812 , they told me over the phone that I must be dropped the phone that's why the lines came so not covered under warranty...This is my first Samsung phone and experienced this kind of an issue...Samsung is such a big company but can't correct there manufacturing defects , the works fine but only the lines making little making it look bad. one of my colleague did not buy Samsung S7 edge because he feared of experiencing the same defect...the vertical lines are pink the middle and green on the right side...I will use it and let the people see this defect from Samsung phones...please advise...

[Completed] Artefacts on amoled screen (Galaxy Note 3)

Hello everyone,
Got a problem with my Galaxy note 3 amoled screen. Couple months ago some lines appeared on that, look like artefacts or dead pixels or something, not really sure. Didn't drop/drop in water the device before that. No idea why that happen. But, they don't go.
Tried some dead pixels apps from market with no success.
Due to certain reasons cannot give the device to repair service, so, need to try to fix that by myself.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Will attach the screenshot. The line in the middle, have few of them already. Background is green, to make it more visible.
Thanks!
