FXP Cyanogenmod 11 lockscreen - Sony Xperia L

So I just installed CM 11, it runs really good, but there's a significant problem.
The phone wakes up really slowly, and sometimes it never does. And when it does, there's often a slow scanning effect.
The Omnirom builds had the same issue, but it happened less frequently.
Is there a way to fix that? Honestly, it gets on my nerves, and I can't return to stock.

Try this rom here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/rom-aosb-project-1-3-7-t2873337
This rom is built on CM11 but has more and more feature than CM11
I've been using this rom for about two months and until now everything run smoothly ,SO give it a try.

I don't know.. That ROM you suggested has a lot of features, but I won't be using half of them.

I gave CM10 a try, I didn't really have any scrolling lag, more that it just felt "heavy".
My issue was with how generally unstable it was, within 24 hours of flashing I was getting reboots every 10-20 mins, during low-intensity tasks or even while not using the phone.

Use Paradnoid Android roms made for jelly bean source. Yes CM10 program. Very buttery. Cheers
AOKP > CM > Paranoid (and other tablet blends) > AOSP
would you rather have a fast basic phone, or a phone that has plenty of options? sure it might be a second or two slower but imagine using phones 5-10 years ago.. those things were turtles

U serious?? let the rom settle or reflash the rom after a full wipe.. been using it since couple of months.. random boots ya but only one 2-3 specific builds which were 3 weeks ago.. its really really stable except for the heavy scroll issue all cyanogenmods hav
For the random reboots just move the min clock freq from 192 to 386

Well I have used Bruce's CM10 rom and I love it so far. The only bug I had was that the SD card (class4) was pushing out 2 mb/s, I fixed that with flashing the kernel though (I thought the rom applied that automatically). The battery life is good, loads of internal memory and I freakin' love the launcher!
Well, I'd like to a try an AOKP rom.. but I am so satisfied with CM's current stabillity and kernel. Maybe I will in the nearest future though
I'm really happy with aokp and its stability!

[Q] Which ROM for a stable flash/torch app?

I recently got the Blaze4G and it is stock, but in the past I had the Samsung Fascinate and I would flash CM and AOKP onto it and the camera flash and torch apps didn't work with the camera LED. I read on the CM 10 development thread that there is also an issue with the camera flash. Are there any non-stock roms that do not have issues with the flash/torch working well?

You could just install an app from the play store that would give you that functionality. Power toggles is one that comes to mind that works on stock that has a working torch toggle.

No, I mean with the aftermarket ROMs, do any others besides CM 10 have issues with the flash or toggle? I have no problems with the stock Blaze 4G torch
I'm on the latest CM10 Nightly and the included Torch works fine.

No. Don't use the 'stable' build. It's not that stable. Use the latest nightly 3/18.

Why do you say that the stable build isn't that stable? I've been running it and it works fine for me. It's randomly rebooted on me a total of 2 or 3 times though, and I feel like the battery should last longer so I'm keen to hear what you have to say.

That's why I say it's unstable. Random reboots are no longer present and battery life is improved among other things.
Random reboots = unstable lol
I don't fully recall but I believe the SoD was present on the 'stable build' too.

2 random reboots in a few months isn't so bad in my opinion. It's not completely rock solid stable but at least I've never gotten a screen of death. I'm thinking of trying out the nightly but while better battery life does sound very enticing, the screen of death seems like a show stopping problem. It seems safer to just flash the lightning zap kernel to see if it'll improve my battery life. When you say you get the screen of death in the nightly, how often do you get it? How often do others say they get it?

I don't get the SoD in the nightly. Didn't say I did. But I think the issue surrounding the SoD is present in the 'stable' build.
I believe the SoD had something to do with the BLN but I'm not 100% on that. I know a lot went into getting rid of the SoD and I don't think those efforts started until after the 'stable' build. I also had issues (what seems like) back in the day where when I would receive a call the phone would freeze and hot boot (reboot to cyanogenmod bootanimation). I also recall having major battery drain compared to previous nightlies with the stable build and posted my results somewhere - maybe in the CM10 thread. Something like an additional 20-40% faster drain even in standby compared to the nightly just before the stable release - using the same kernel too. Something in the stable release seemed to be the cause, and the very next nightly the issue was addressed (which I think I pointed out in the CM thread also).
I also believe that the 'default' kernel with CM10 has added the interactive governor since the stable build. I don't remember having that before either.
You can flash the LZ kernel (it's awesome) but I think there is or may be an issue with the davlik. I do believe Thomas is already on this - read the LZ thread for more info. I was getting reboots quite often using it with both PA and CM10 - sometimes immediately after boot. That doesn't mean you won't run it just fine 100%, just something to be aware of. Make sure you nandroid before flashing in case you run into any instability.

Ah, the way you worded it I thought you got the SoD. I definitely notice the battery draining quite fast, even on standby just as you said. Sometimes I fully charge it before I go to sleep and unplug it; I wake up and the battery is at 90% (Estimate off the top of my head). Other times I fully charge it to 100% and unplug it, only to have it immediately drop down to 99% and within minutes go down even lower. I'm using the default kernel in the CM10 stable build and I have the Interactive governor (It's default), and my scheduler is CFQ (Also default).
You've certainly convinced me to try out the nightly, I'll have to flash it soon. I'd also like to try out the LZ kernel as it does seem really cool. In what areas did you see an improvement and was it a big difference?

Racings unofficial AOKP + lightning zap = WIN
Snappy snappy, stable(no reboots period), best battery life for any jelly bean ROM I've tried, and the built-in toggle torch works perfectly.

lag?

just got my oneplus over the weekend and i notice most of the custom roms have alot of lag for me. no matter what mods, tweaks or kernels i flash. the scrolling mod fix did help but i just don't feel the device is very smooth coming from my htc m8. any suggestions or thoughts?
More information about your set up. How and where do you experience lag would help.

Yeah this would really help.
My bacon setup. is really fast with zero lag (better than the M8), so I am not sure what setup you have right now that would be causing this...
Scrolling lag. Opening and closing apps. Just overall sluggish. Right now im on mahdi rom with the auxx kernel. Stock speeds. Zen + smartmax. Tried many other roms and configs. Was even worse when i was on the ak kernel. The only roms that dont lag are the alpha 5.0 roms.

Do you do full wipes between ROMs, and did you have this lag on CM11S before you started going custom?

Yeah that is really odd, I mean I get nothing but smoothness on this phone with pretty much every ROM I've used, currently on the latest Carbon nightly...
My device also lag so much, to the level when there can be 2 sec delay when I scroll on home screen with nothing open (only Google apps installed). The weird thing is when I first got the device is seems ok, then flashed 5.0 Alpha and then a couple of other ROM like PA 4.4.4 and then back to stock. Now even on stock (100%), I am still getting so much lag it is unreal. Some other issues: sound breaks when watching youtube, and sometimes screen freezes and phone reboots.

CM13 Sultan or OmniROM

So i have SultanXDA's CM13 ROM with the Lightning Kernel, and its a pretty darn stable ROM. It comes with an underclock down to 1.9Ghz, and you barely even notice it, and with this come good battery life.
I've been trying to see if they're is anything better (Sorry Sultan), but in all of the threads it just says almost everything that is included in every stock CM ROM.
Is there a difference?
P.S. If there are any other suggestions to what ROM you use or how to get the most out of any one, leave it below too. :good:
Cheers,
KnightGalahad
LOL I just switched from Sultan's to Omni yesterday just to try it out, since I was wondering the same thing. Stability-wise, IMHO there isn't much of a difference - they're both pretty damned stable. I miss some of the CM little things on Sultan's - like the cLock widget with the built in weather, being able to longpress the back button to kill an app, and being able to decrease animation speeds to less than .5x. With Omni you can tweak your kernel right from Settings, but I don't do much of that on my phone (tablet is another story) so it really isn't important for me to have that feature. Having Privacy Guard there is important to me, but Omni doesn't have that.
I'm probably going to give it another day or so just because it's kind of a pain in the arse to reconfigure alarms, ringtones, individual notifications etc, but I'm probably going back to Sultan's. Don't get me wrong, Omni is one helluva ROM, but at this point I'm thinking it might not be for me.
TBT, I'd really like to get away from CM altogether. I don't want TruCaller, I don't want Cortana, & I don't want anything to do with Microsoft. If BeansTown106 ever makes PureNexus for the OPO I'll be all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake just so I'd have the same ROM across all devices, but until that happens I'll probably stick with Sultan.
I'm using SAOSP, based on Omni. Just enough customization for my liking, and runs excellent. Great battery life, no issues whatsoever to report on my end. Give it a shot you wont be disappointed

CrDroid Oreo version for Mi4c

How is your opinion about this ROM.
It is very good and customizable with a ton of options.
Only thing that is boring sometimes is lag when open apps. Waiting for 4-5 seconds to.open it.
Does someone know how to avoid that lag?

But messing in the Settings, menus and that kind of stuff on a fresh installation seems to me the same as in Nougat. On my phone, lag appears in crDroid O (and all the Oreo builds) when I'm switching and reloading apps, with many apps installed and many processes running in the background. In this situation (regular use, not setting up the phone) I feel Nougat is better than Oreo.

Well, I'm not really complaining about Oreo, I know it was a hard work for its developers and builders and all the enthusiastic guys involved. The real accomplish was to be able to install and use Oreo for Mi 4C, almost bug-free. There are many alternatives to Oreo for Mi4C, even now, when devs are leaving its boat for other devices. MIUI 10 it's on its way, but LOS 14.1 is still developing - great work!
Personally, I'm using latest AEX Nougat and I'm happy.

Hi Gourcuff 14.
Thanks for yours tips. It was necessary to wipe also data (internal storage) to avoid bootloop. All apps, contacts restored.
I'm giving up - no dialer during incoming call.
LineageOS ftw
I use LineageOS found here for some half a year without any issues as a daily driver.
The only two things that i found missing are no vibration and the fact i can not find a way to activate Camera2API, so i can not use Gcam mods. But these are not really an issue tbh.
