I have a LG F160K. I have rooted it and installed CWM recovery. Can someone please tell me how do I flash a custom Rom in it. Is there any lollipop based ROM for it?
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
To flash a custom rom:
1. Reboot into CWM
2. Wipe data/factory reset + cache + dalvik cache and format /system partition.
3. Flash the zip file of your custom rom
4. Reboot.

If you are using CWM6 there is known bug that causes this. Just revert to CWM5.
If not just wipe everything (EXECPT SDCARD) and flash again
If that is no go then flash stock rom via odin, flash CWM5 and then flash custom rom.
Sir, m having gt s7562 model,I have rooted my mobile &* trying to install custom ROM for first time, but in recovery mode i am not getting install from zip option.I am taking only following options 1.Reboot system now 2.apply update from external storage 3.wipe data/factory reset 4.wipe cache partition 5.apply update from cache. please instruct how can i install custom ROM.
You must flash first a custom recovery to install a custom ROM.
I was trying to flash Microkat v1.0 in my moto g 2014 which had 5.0.2.
I didn't clear any cache. I just created a recovery using twrp and installed the the rom.
And then, I reboot my phone.
It has been around 40 minutes and it's still trying to boot.
Please help me
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Reboot into recovery and start from scratch: wipe data, cache, dalvik cache and system then flash your custom rom.
Good luck!
