Unified app to handle both Email and SMS/MMS consolidated app - General Questions and Answers

Is there an app that can replace both your email client and SMS on android that will do double duty? I realize there is BB Hub which can be installed on android but the hub still opens the native SMS/MMS app to send and receive txt messages. Is there an app that consolidates both into just a single app?

"Psiloc GSync allows you to automatically archive all of your SMS and MMS messages on the Gmailâ„¢ account. The SMS/MMS messages appear as e-mails, are marked as read and labelled as SMS/MMS. Messages exchanged with the same people are grouped into threads. You can configure how often the messages are archived."
At the short search I did not find anything like that...

Default Applications & multiple notifications

Hi my Atrix keeps giving me multiple notifications when I get both SMS and email messages. I use Handcent for my SMS and the Motorola email client for my Gmail however the inbuild Gmail client alerts me too. Is there anyway of stopping the dual notifications ?

Hmmm? Disable the notifications in Gmail client and in the stock SMS application. Or what am I missing here?

Email App

I've noticed the HTC email app isn't the most up to date when it comes to read and received emails compared to the stock email app which comes on the tmobile rom.
For example, I have the same email setup (both are set to push) on the HTC Email app and the standard email app. The standard email app will get the emails a few min before the HTC email app and will update the status on the emails (read/unread) way before the HTC email app.
The thing is I like all the options which come with the HTC email app, so what email app do you guys use? Is there anything better?
Things i love about the HTC email app
- i can setup my out of the office directly from there
- groups my conversations
- the overall presentation/eyecandy of the app

[Q] How to send vCard to Andriod phones?

[Q] What's a good contacts app with buttons to email, call, text, Hangout, and Skype?

I'd like to access all my contacts with a single app. For each contact, it lists known phone numbers, email addresses, IM usernames, etc., and when you tap one, it launches the relevant app for initiating communication through that method. E.g., tapping an email address opens Gmail, tapping a Facebook username opens Messenger, and tapping a phone number begins a phone call or SMS app.
Do any contacts programs connect to Hangouts? I'm currently using the People app that comes with Cyanogenmod, but it omits Skype and Hangouts associated with my contacts.
