It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the OnePlus 2 before depleting the battery.

Battery life is great with custom kernels. Can get 5hrs of SOT easily with medium to heavy usage

Very satisfied with h2os
I get around 5 hours with SOT.
5 hours seems to be the sweet spot for me. I am perfectly content with that number.

Nah, stock kernel, only changed io sheduler, installed nova launcher and set the H2OS phone manager to my likings, but i must admit that sometimes i have problems with messenger, but nothing severe, i must reopen an app from a drawer, it cannot open from recents. Thanks

I don't know what's with my phone, but its either a bit zippy or laggish (so laggish that even Go Launcher has to reload all apps in drawer and widgets in home).
This is what I've done:
ROM: Humble 4.2.2
V6 Tweaks
- Option 9 (1000)
- Option 13 (Launcher + Bulletproof)
- Kernalizer Tweak
- Loopy's Smooth Tweak
- Tegrak OC software (1.3GHz / Performance)
I still get 1000 quadrant or I'll get about 2300 quadrant.
My phone still is not zippy at all. Any ideas?
Install Imoseyon's repacked kernel and enable Voodoo with the Voodoo Control app. If that doesn't help then get off of Humble and move to Gummy or Infinity.

I laughed so hard I choked on my drink. Thank you for that.
@OP: I don't really know what to tell you. I've tried numerous ROMs and configurations and tweaks. I'd consider myself a power user. And yet, every Gingerbread-based ROM I've used has ever-increasing lag issues. I have no problems at all with Froyo-based ones, and I haven't figured out why just yet.
At this point, I'm getting close to just getting a Galaxy Nexus so I'm just trying to hold out...
For me Humble 4.22 with V6 is pretty damned fast. Scrolling in the web browser is rather nice now.
You could try the fugu tweak mod. Might help a little, it did for me.
Here is the kernel [voodoo] http://rootzwiki.com/topic/3426-kernel-gb-imoseyon-kernel-stock-repacked-v310-101111/
I use V6 supercharger with only one option. Hard to kill.
Loopy tweaks. Remember if you use a different launcher you have to edit loopy to work with your new launcher.
And of course I use Fugu, its on my signature.
AND DONT FORGET TO ENABLE SMARTASS! After you flash the kernel open up terminal emulator and type in "su" allow it. Then type in "smartass enable." Your phone will be beast once you do all this.
I'd bet its cuz ur using the 1000 hp setting on v6 supercharger.the Charge doesn't have enough ram for that so its always reloading programs that want to run all the time plus the app ur using right then. The highest I've been able to use without lag is the 768. But overall elthe 512 super is best for me. Also try tegrak overclock. Btw I'm running humble 5 but had same settings in humble 4.22
Can someone tell me any suggestions to have better battery life with a custom kernel
I'm currently running aokp milestone 4 with trinity and just look at this horrible battery stats

And just by typing this I lost 2 percent
Flash Matr1x to start. See if that helps. Also, look at what apps are running. settings>apps>running. See if anything there is on a lot, and stop it. Turn auto sync off.
I get about 20 hours of decent usage with this setup
every kernel and rom combo is going to perform differently. I find the best way to get the most out of my battery is to calibrate the battery by fully charging, allowing the battery to fully discharge, and then repeating those two steps once or twice more.
You without me is like Harold Melvin without the Blue Notes...
download battery calibration app from market, fully charge battery (94 or 95%), then calibrate using the app. Allow your battery to fully discharge (until it shuts itself off), and finally charge your phone completely with it still off. You should notice an amazing enhancement in battery life.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
what I do is: (Use NSTools, its easier to make this setups!)
- Use LiveOC on 110%
- Overclock to 1110 Mhz - 200 Mhz
- Activate Deep Idle
- Use Lionheart governor.
Try this and see if it helps.
Turn off GPS and nfc if you're not using it! And wifi if you're not connected to a network, I think that may help something!

How about you tell us your on screen time?
Seems like your phone is on for quite sometime given that is it at 41%. Usually during a normal day mine usually consumes 28% with 2 hours of on screen time.
If you're hitting 4-6 hours of on screen time, that battery stat is NORMAL.
Thank you guys for your suggestion but i think my battery is just too old
im ordering some spare batteries for amazon
Tell me what you think about these

Hi this is phantom, I've been an android enthusiast teo years ago and I've been experimenting on all phones ican get my hands on for tweaks in battery life and performance.
Right now i just want you to ask what apps/tweaks did you add/put on your build prop
What are the services you disabled and the receivers for it and any side effects and any more recommendations to reduce ram usage for n5?
Personally I use 5 apps for batt life:
Servicely
Nowakelock
Amplify
Powernap
Hibernation manager
This 5 apps are proven amd tested on 5 devices that i laid my hands on.
I would highly appreciate any recommendations here, any tweaks and any apps that i have missed and i may need to get a review in
PLEASE GET SCREENSHOTS IF YOU CAN FOR PROOF ON STATS.. I THANK YOU SO MUCH!

You forgot Marshmallow. I've found it to be worth more than all of those combined. With a new battery, I'm looking at battery drain very similar to KitKat.
New battery I got was this one: http://www.etradesupply.com/lg-nexus-5-d821-battery.html, was about $30 total to ship to US. Expensive, but I had it on good authority that it was legitimate. It certainly seems to be.
I understand marshmallow was pretty good but i had to revert back to lp for one thing..
I found a rom that can basically be as good as M
It was called raxfian OS
I have a batt life of 1% drain every 8-12 hrs with my own tweaks
Ill be providing the screenshot later for this for a proof..
On M have you used any apps to tweak battery life or performance?
Edit! Heres my batt life left on idle

X Performance
I'm planning to buy the X Performance (F8132). It's got the same chipset as the XZ but with a smaller 2700mAh battery. Do you think I can obtain just as good SOT with this technique?

Yes please. Or has anybody a software to deinstall bloatware?
Here I came up with the idea that everyone here can see or share different profiles of the governor for our Moto G4 / G4 Plus and thus improve the life of the battery without sacrificing performance always using a custom kernel.
ROMS: Oreo or Nougat..
Here's a couple of governor settings/sets of governor settings that have been previously posted. I have only tried Lightning Blade on Nougat (stock 7.0 with ElementalX kernel, magisk), any other combinations you may be best served by either reading through the posts or await member comments:

No - I've read that there are some odd performance issues with Xposed on stock Nougat (your experience may vary) and Greenify I've not used. I used to have ForceDoze or Naptime, which I may try again.
Does AKT work properly? I can't say anything, cause, there's always that "directory not found" message.
Lightning Blade is not the best, but it works fine, I'm using AOKP + Lightning Blade, with the following configuration in the EX Kernel Manager app:

With that, I got an excellent SOT result compared to Stock Rom.
Day 1
Day 2
My use is moderate, two hours on social networks '(Twitter / Instagram)', two hours of youtube, one hour watching movies via MX Player the rest of the time is browsing the internet, will still test some other things like: Amplify, Greenify, reduce resolution to 720P
But I do not think I'm going to get better results, my battery is very worn out
