Before you install please revert back to the stock zv5 system.img then factory reset your device after that wait for it to boot then activate your device with your google account then download this and flash it then it should work without accessibility settings wanting to intrude
I personally Tested this
Do not attempt if your Software version is on ZV4 >Easy way to tell>(LTE WITH SPINNING SPARK STAR LOGO)<you will have to download the ZV4 image then go on over to 6th_hokage's page with the zv4 system.img flash it go to his thread zv5 unbrick then download his update.zip file then go over here and start flashing after your device fully optimises apps and you know your on ZV5
I'm not responsible if you don't follow word to word on how to do this and brick you device how ever i could help you remotely if you brick it without really getting frustrated unless your internet and computer are really slow LOL
You can message me on google.com/hangouts at [email protected]

UNZIP ALL WITH WINDOWS UNZIPPER EXCEPT SYSTEM.IMG system img is to go into the external sd card
File Path Should Look like this /storage/external_SD/DominicLGSTYLOB_S-V1.img
Files you will need the system.img being 2.5GB found at HERE
LG Drivers To install do not recommend using any other onesHERE
Send_Commands Unzip and proceed with instructions HERE
1.Place downloaded system.img to your external SD via adapter or through a Android running 4.0 n below without mtp you have or it will fail transferring to the SD card because it timed out
2.Now place SD back into your phone
3.Reboot your device into download mode pop out battery then pop it back in press and hold the volume up and plug in the phone into your pc
4.Download this folder and unzip it to your desktop:
5.Run ports.bat from within the extracted folder, to find your correct port (use the one with: LGVZANDNETDIAG1)Usually when your first installing the drivers and your looking at the progress it will briefly show the port number for you
5.In the Send_Command folder hold shift and right click and choose open command windows here
Please open notepad to make this easier on you
Copy all commands and erase the (Your Port #) in the code and then copy and paste everything that is on this
6
Code:
Send_Command.exe \\.\COM(your Port #)
7
Code:
dd if=/storage/external_SD/DominicLGSTYLOB_S-V1.img bs=8192 seek=42816 count=327680 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0
you will see a flashing _ line wait about 3-5 minutes and it should show up a # sign once that shows up
8
Code:
LEAVE
Your Device will reboot and it will take about 5-10 minutes to boot because it has to optimise all the apps 167 to be exact to be done
Have fun you can uninstall anything i installed on es file manager if you would like the hotspot please go into /system/APN+LTE Settings - Installer then make sure root browser is enabled and it should show a file that says import to sml and then it gets cut off move it to the sd card then go into the shortcut master lite then menu then import then import again after you find the file then once that shows up go to the apn settings then grant supersu then on the once that has a green blimp saying your connected to it click it then scroll down to apn type here's what it should say if you want a free hotspot (warning if you don't have unlimited/unthrottled data you will use your data very quickly)i used 20GB my first day of using this data - Enhanced LTE is a bit too quick lol
APN TYPE
Code:
default,mms,dun
this will unlock your native tethering  :good::good: remember to hold the resent button and be connected to lte when you use this or it will say you need to pay a subscription 3G Users i'm sorry for you
ONLY IF YOU HAVE BAND 41 (TDD-LTE) Turn off band 25 on lte settings and band 26 also so you will have the fastest internet all the time
I should have a video being posted really soon for the installation of this Happy Flashing
Tuesday of next week at 12pm my time (PST) i will be posting a video on how to install this

[ROOT + CWM 6.0.1.5 or 5.5.0.4] Lenovo IdeaPad A2107A (-H)

The following post is just a TESTED collection of tools and procedures that were found over at XDA forum or elsewhere on the Internet.
I do not take any credit for all those nice scripts and manuals - I just put them together for the young community of IdeaPad A2107A owners.
Below you will find methods of getting root and Clockwork Mod Recovery v 6.0.1.5 on IdeaPad A2107A (I own the -H version with dual SIM and ca. 4 GB of internal memory).
All processes were tested by me and are working well but obviously you are responsible for your actions.
My device runs on ICS 4.0.3, compilation A2107A-H_S341 and has a couple of European languages (tablet bought in Poland).
What you need is installed ADB drivers so the PC can "talk" to you tablet. You will find a lot of guides on the net - just make sure Windows device manager shows Android Device - Android ADB Interface or something close to that.
I also advise to enable USB debugging and allow installing applications from unknown sources - all in your tablet's settings.
Once you make sure you have done the above you're good to go.
So let's go!
Download this: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?5o7dm16d430lwal (un7zip) and read as follows:
1 - Root
The method I chose is for patient people - the device will reboot 3 times during this process.
a) connect your tablet to the PC, open "1 - 4.03root" folder and run "root.bat"
b) just after you run the .bat the device will reboot and in the command prompt you will see "Press any key to continue . . ." - WAIT until the tablet boots up completely. When you see the lockcreen THEN hit a key in the command prompt.
c) the above will happen 2 more times - always WAIT for the tablet to boot completely.
This process will install Superuser and RootExplorer so find those apps and see if the root works.
2 - Backup the whole ROM that is on your device - will be useful with making the CWM recovery.img file.
For this you will need ca. 2GB of memory so I advise at least 4GB sdcard.
I also advise to go to the settings and in the memory tab set the "Default write disk" to "SD storage" - this makes the microSD the primary "sdcard" - makes things easier with backups etc.
ALSO in the settings set the screen to stay on for at least 10 minutes - this is how long it will take to do the full ROM dump - important to keep the script alive.
To avoid any issues turn the flight mode on so no new "data" is received by the device.
Once you're done open "2 - Backup" folder from my 7zip and copy the "gscript" folder to the root of your sdcard. Now install "GScriptLite.apk" and run it (needs root access!).
In the app hit the menu button and pick "Add Script" ->"Need SU?" must be checked -> "Load file" -> select "back_mt6575_a4_v2c.sh" -> save and click the script.
As I said - wait ca 10 minutes for the scrip to finish. Now you will have a nice backup in the SD - look for "backup_v2" folder - copy it to your PC.
3 -Mobileuncle - it's in the Google Play Store but you won't find it with our tablet - supposedly incompatible. Bull*hit!
Open "3 - Mobileuncle" folder, copy the apk to your device and install. We will come back to this later.
4 - How about the CWM? Yes!
Open "4 - CWM 6015" - you will find a PDF there - read the instructions. The subfolder "michfood" contanis all the scripts you need so you don't have to download anything else.
ATTENTION - the "recovery.img" used in this process is YOUR "recovery.img" that you dumped in step 2. So find your backup from step 2 and the original "recovery.img" from your ROM.
ATTENTION - our device is MT6575 so you pick nr 1 in the command prompt.
5 - Once you have the new "recovery.img" with CWM (it is actually smaller than the original file) copy it to the root of your sdcard.
Now open the Mobileuncle Tools you installed in step 3 and hit "Recovery Update".
There, at the very top of the screen you will see your new CWM recovery file - hit it and then confirm the update. It takes a second!
Now you will be asked to boot into recovery mode - go ahead, try it
If the tablet booted in CWM then you are all set!
REMEMBER - to go into the recovery mode while the device is OFF you need to:
1 - hold the power button for ca 3 seconds
2 - let it go and in the same moment press BOTH Vol + and Vol - buttons.
REMEMBER 2 - the CWM 6.0.1.5 makes backups in a bit different way than the old CWM - read here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846446
It also appears that the key to modding our tablet is the MT6575 processor - a lot of tools just need to support this processor, the device itself is not so important.
All the best.
Mike.
P.S.
A little film how it looks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tM3Sdwf2i4M
------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 1 ---------------------------------------------------------
For those who are running the same compilation as I am (A2107A-H_S341):
- you can download my recovery file from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?um372gh6ayf6t6w
To use it you need to do:
1 - Root
(optional backup with GScriptLite.apk)
2 - flash the recovery file with Mobileuncle
Be careful and make sure you have a backup if you want to try this file with another compilation.
Cheers.
------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 2 ---------------------------------------------------------
Tested (by user: manwithmanypiercings) USB drivers are in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34651039&postcount=51
------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 3 ---------------------------------------------------------
I think there is even easier way than the one I originally posted above.
BUT I cannot be sure that it will work with all of you - the reason is that I made so many changes to my A2107A-H that I do not know whether this method works "just because it's universal" or because my tablet was tweaked far enough.
On the other hand when you consider it reasonably it looks like it's quite simple and there is no particular reason why it shouldn't work with a stock A2107A.
So...
What you need:
1 - this package: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?fbuzi5xjofs7vgf
2 - PC running Windows 7 would be the best (7 gave me no problems at all - takes 1 minute to do it). I made it on Windows 8 as well but there is a lot more fuss to install the proper driver.
What you do:
1 - turn on USB Debugging on your tablet
2 - connect the tablet to your PC (if it's the 1st, some default drivers will install - that's ok)
3 - tap on the notifications area in the "Connect as" change to "MTP" - this is quite important !
4 - from the downloaded package run the "Flash_tool.exe"
- click "Scatter-loading" on the right and find "MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt"
- in the list in the lower part of the window you MUST have the "PRELOADER" (super important) and "RECOVERY" ticked and leading to the correct files. The PRELOADER = "preloader_lenovo75_a2_ics.bin" (in the package) and the RECOVERY is the recovery file of your choice -> there are 3 in the package - pick the one you want. You can flash them over and over so if you don't like one then try the other.
5 - click "Download" above - you will see a prompt saying that not all images were loaded - that is fine - we only want to flash the RECOVERY - so click "Yes"
6 - now the Flash tool is waiting for the tablet - press "reset" on the back - Windows will recognize a new device (and WILL NOT find the driver unless you have done it before) - no worries, you have the correct driver.
7 - open Windows "Device manager" and locate the MT65..... unrecognised device -> update / install driver -> point Windows to "USB VCOM Driver" folder from the package and pick your system. My Windows 7 found the driver on the spot but asked to confirm the install - "insecure" driver - I obviously clicked "install anyway" and so should you.
8 - once the driver is loaded the Flash tool will flash the new recovery file - you will see some colour progress bars in the program - at the end you should see a green circle.
That is it. Unplug the tablet, press reset on the back and you can now enter the recovery mode.
FUN FACT: the "reset" button on the back is not really a reset button, it's more like physical cut off button to temporarily disconnect the battery.
I have the Lenovo A2107A under Vodafone's brand Vodafone Smart Tab II 7
It has Android version 4.0.4 and compilation: A2107A_A404_010_002_120913_VODA
Imanaged to root it and install CWM using this thread. But somehow I was not able to create the CWM modded recovery.img
I used the one provided here and it worked fine.
Thanks for this.
I can't connect tablet to PC

Hi there,
Try those drivers: http://www.mediafire.com/?vx2hyv7dpwlmeyy
They come from the current Android SDK but I am running a 64 bit system and I'm not sure if those drivers will work with 32 bit systems.
Fingers crossed!
I tried with yor recommend dirvers and with a lot of others and doesn't work. I have to unrecognised denices in Device Manager - A2107A-H and MTP.
I am very upset about Lenovo because their support doesn't exist.

First of all, a ton of thanx to csns for posting this detailed procedure along with all required scripts and tools...
I have just one question...Which Modified ROM did you install as I see you have unlocked calling feature in the video you posted???
I asked because the MOD ROM by pemergency in the other thread is for the 16 GB and creates some issues in the device...But your's is 4 GB, as is mine...
Thanx in advance

I'm glad you find my post useful.
As for the calling feature - it's not actually working
You see, to have the calling app (in other words "the phone" app) in the app drawer all you need to do is change one tiny value in framework-res.apk.
This value is telling the system weather the whole device is supposed to handle voice calls or not. I just tricked the system to make the Phone.apk visible but there is a lot more do be done in order to make a real call over the cellular network.
I've just had this tablet for a week and I didn't have much time to dig into this topic. Let's see what the weekend brings
Be patient, I think it's just a matter of time when someone posts a user friendly guide... Or search yourself and share what you find with the community.
Take care.
works fine

Well, this happened to me once and I think the reason was that the path was too long - I guess it may have something to do with the fact that the .bat is a simple "program" and can have some problems with handling long paths.. specially with "national" character in them.
Try finding a location as close to the root of the drive as possible, and make sure you have full R/W access. Or try with a pendrive for example.
Since you made a backup of your ROM I think you are quite safe with using the recovery I uploaded - first post -> UPDATE 1.
They seem to fit all 2107A devices. If not I will tell you how to restore the original recovery from your backup.
You can also read UPDATE 3 I just made - your choice.
Thanx
Hello csns,
Thanx to your help, I have also got CWM recovery working on my device.
BTW I saw these two posts on a forum in Russian (I guess)...I used google translate and am pretty sure these two posts that I provide links for below have two modified ROMs with everything working, including phone and radio !!! The only draw back is that once you flash these ROMs you'll get Russian language, which can be changed to English from the language menu
I plan to fo it myself as well tomorrow, would let you know the outcome
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=286687&st=920 (go down to the post labelled "A2107_Foxtrot_v100")
and
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=286687&st=440 (go down to the post labelled "Прошивка Tasemart
MOD 1.1")
and of course you can also try the "Angeleas_Final" modified ROM also that I'll upload and provide links to tomorrow
Thanx again for all your help !!!
I also had many trouble getting the cwm bat file to work. It is very picky about its path and arguments on Win7.
I moved the michfood folder to C: and moved my own recovery.img to C:\michfood\recovery.old
cd C:\michfood
cwmr\ 6015.bat recovery.old
That worked - otherwise it wouldnt finish the cpio stuff.
Reworking that horrible script to work on linux would have probably taken less time -_-
Anyway - thanks!
Permissions problems on Windows7
Hi,
I Had the same problem.

Hi csns,
Sorry to bother you but when I try drag and drop my original "recovery.img" to "cwmr 6015.bat" in the "michfood" folder, I get a warning message "System cannot find the specified file "C:\users\....\recovery.img" "recovery" and the bat script exits...I have tried the following:-
1. Copy the folder and file "michfood" and my original "recovery.img" file in all possible alternate locations of my PC including desktop as shown in the pdf tutorial in "michfood" folder.
2. The permissions for both folders is "Full Control" for all users.
Click to collapse
My solution:
It was required to use a directory not to deep in folder structures, so the best is as short as possible like "C:\michfood".
I had to add "Full Control" permissions for "everyone" to the "michfood"-directory and enable the "replicate permissions to subfolders"-option (I don't know the exact designation because I use it in german ... )
I had to delete an existing "Recovery" folder inside the "michfood"-directory from earlier attempts to create the new file and for this I had to take over the ownership of the "Recovery" folder before I was able to delete it.
The original Recovery.img must be in a different folder than "michfood". This can be on the desktop but for a shorter path it could be in the root directory.
I had success after copying "cwmr 6015.bat" to "go.bat" (it's shorter and does not contain any space in it) and calling it from command line from its directory( C:\>cd C:\michfood ) with: "go C:\Recovery.img" ( I had Recovery.img on C:\ ).

I copied the folder as "C:\michfoods" and recovery image file as "C:\recovery.img" and gave the command "cwmr6015 C:\recovery.img"...Before that, I removed the space from the file name "cwmr 6015.bat" and saved it as "cwmr6015.bat".

Lenovo A60+ ROOTED stock rom (Philippines). WORKING contact identification.

Lenovo A60+ ROOTED stock rom (Philippines). WORKING contact identification either international format or local format.
this one works without any problems for PH Lenovo A60+ specially have tried ALL stock roms(chinese) and cooked/custom roms has problem with caller i.d. or number identification from international format (+63xxxxxxxxxx) to local format (0xxxxxxxxxx) in your contacts or phonebook. see instructions below to root your Lenovo A60+ without having issues/problems with caller/contact identification:
in ALL stock ROM and custom roms i have tried, ALL these have ISSUES or PROBLEMS with caller/contact identification. lets say:
a. your contact stored number is 0919xxxxxxx
b. 0919xxxxxxx calls you, the contact identification will show.
c. 0919xxxxxxx send you an sms/text. the contact will NOT show because the SMS sender is +63919xxxxxxx
twist:
a. your contact stored number is +63919xxxxxxx
b. 0919xxxxxxx calls you, the contact identification will NOT show. because the caller incoming number is 0919xxxxxxx and your phone number in contacts is 63919xxxxxxx. this two numbers is treated as two different numbers.
c. 0919xxxxxxx send you an sms/text. the contact will show because the SMS sender is +63919xxxxxxx
basically in the Philippines number formats sent by networks are:
receiving calls: 0919xxxxxxx or international format
receiving SMS/text: +63919xxxxxxx or local format
as said i have tried ALL(as of date january 14, 2012) stock roms and custom roms available in the internet for rooting this Lenovo A60+. have spent DAYS figuring out and trying out(kaskus, xda-dev, symbianized, etc). dont look any further and waste time like what i did. this procedure is for you to save yourself days and time lost!

DISCLAIMER: i am not responsible for any lost of data, your phone bricked or loss of your phones warranty. remember that ROOTING an android device VOIDS manufacturers WARRANTY. I DO not HOST any of these files.
BEFORE rooting, do this necessary steps:
1. backup your phone's IMEI. this is likely to be erased/lost in ROOTING or installing new roms. thus you wil get an "Invalid IMEI" message or your sim cannot locate networks or has no signal. check google play for IMEI backup apps and backup into your SD card. otherwise read the tutorial after on how to re-create your IMEI file and restore into your phone system.
2. BACKUP your contacts and messages/sms, applications etc. most likely all data will be lost too. so you need to restore it after ROOTING procedure.
3. DISABLE and turn off any anti-virus softwares in your PC and any PC to Phone applications such as IdeaTool, MobileGO, Snap Pea, Etc. so that this will NOT interfere with the rooting procedure.

Follow these step by step, with SIM cards REMOVED from the phone/device:
Step 1: Prepare needed files and copy to SD Card the three files:
a.) a60+ori.zip (link number 1) should be zipped file so DONT unzip this.
b.) mobileuncle.apk (unzipped from link number 2)
c.) recovery.img (unzipped from link number 2)
into the root/top folder of your SD card. see screenshot here: http://screencast.com/t/AvBLMyth
Step 2: INSTALLING the PC drivers - Turn off the phone, take the battery out, connect your phone to the pc(while battery is not inserted) via usb cable. your pc will detect your device and will try to search and install drivers. MANUALLY install(manually select the drivers pointing to the drivers folder on your pc) the drivers in the unzipped folder "MT6575 USB VCOM drivers" (link number 3) appropriate for your windows version(xp/vista/7).
Step 3: ROOTING with Flashtool - unplug usb cable from your phone, insert the battery (do not turn on the phone/device yet).
Run Flash Tool(Flash_tool.exe in the unzipped folder of link number 4). screenshot here: http://screencast.com/t/BLOR3S0Nn1
while in flash tool window:
a.) Click scatter-loading at the upper right corner of the flashtool window.
b.) browse to "Boot" folder which was extracted/unzipped in link number 5.

d.3. Flashtool will now be SEARCHING or WAITING for your device to be connected and ready to flash/write the files you selected in step d.1. see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/1H3By7t3wsll
Step 4: while your phone is TURNED OFF, NO SIMS, NO SD card,.. and it has its battery on it; on your phone/device HOLD(press and dont release) "volume +" or "volume up" key(top-right side of your phone) and plug the cable until the progress bar at the bottom is running, when the progress bar turns RED, you can RELEASE the "Volume up/+" key. see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/wDPM9Ym8AHG
Wait around 5 minutes. the progress bar at the bottom will show as RED then YELLOW, then TEAL. wait until a green circle in a pop up window appears. when the green circle appears; this mean success in flashing with the rom upgrade. see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/OGLHkf55
Step 5: Close Flashtool application in your PC. unplug the phone/device USB cable. turn on the device you would notice the default language is Chinese. to change language, go to settings(purple icon with gear), scroll down to languages(violet icon with letter A). select first option at the top. tap English.
Step 6. INSTALLING MOBILEUNCLE CWM RECOVERY - Turn off your phone/device and insert your sim cards and your SD Card(the SD card you copied the 3 files in Step 1). turn it back on. on "New Sim Detected" pop up window. just close it.
6.a. turn OFF "GPS" and "Data conn." at the top(swipe the top area going down).
6.b. open the application "FileBrowser" which is pre installed in the firmware. browse to your SD card's root and install mobileuncle.apk that you copied in step 1(this is version 2011.01.04v1.2). a pop up window will show "Install blocked". tap "Settings" tap or check "Unknown sources". Tap "OK" on the "Attention" window. tap on back. tap again on mobileuncle.apk tap install. tap open. tap get started. tap OK in the chinese pop-up window.
6.c. tap on "Flash Recovery From SdCard" (its the second option from the top). tap on "recovery.img" then tap "OK". Superuser will pop up and quick tap OK to grant superuser permission.
6.d. the phone will reboot and enter CWM-based Recovery v6.0.0.3(english version, CWM stands for ClockWorkMod).
Step 7. INSTALLING THE STOCK ROM WITH ROOT USING CWM - IN CASE that the phone/device did not enter CWM recovery but booted as regular boot. turn the phone off. turn it back ON while you HOLD on the "Volume +/up" button. this will enter to CWM-based Recovery. otherwise proceed with steps below:
7.a. while in the CWM-based Recovery console, Lenovo A60+ touchscreen doesnt work. the hardware volume up and down works as buttons to scroll up and down. while the power button works as the SELECT button.
7.b. scroll down twice(press volume down button twice) to highlight "wipe data/factory reset" option. press power button to select it. scroll down and highlight "Yes -- delete all user data". press power buttn to select. wait for around 20 seconds to complete.
7.c. scroll down to "wipe cache partition" and press power button. scroll down to "Yes - Wipe Cache". wait 2 seconds to complete.
7.d. scroll down to "install zip from sdcard" and press power button. press again power button to select "choose zip from sdcard".
7.e. scroll down to locate and highlight "a60+ori.zip". press power button. confirm the install by scrolling down and select "Yes - Install a60+ori.zip". wait for around 1 minute for the process to complete. the process completes with the console last text "Install from sdcard complete." shows at the bottom while you will be able to choose from the options at the top again.
7.f. scroll down and select +++++Go Back+++++ then select "reboot system now".
Step 8: FIX on INVALID IMEI AFTER SUCCESSFUL ROOTING - by now you have a ROOTED A60+_ROW_S310_120823 ROM. all apps are working EXCEPT that your phone has "Invalid IMEI". this is because Device IMEI's are UNIQUE to each phone. now, lets fix this!!!
files and tools to download:
8.1. download t-kstore.com/imei.zip - Size 4.22 MB - its a dos based IMEI generator and encryptor and write to file.
8.2. download download.estrongs.com/app-es-file-explorer.html - Size 2.81 MB - an apk "es_file_explorer_v1.6.2.4.apk" and application to manage files in your android device. copy the es_file_explorer_v1.6.2.4.apk file to your SD card's root/top folder.
8.3. RE-CREATING your phone/device IMEI - locate your Unique Lenovo A60+ IMEI. there are two places these 15 digit number can be located. FIRST is when you open your phone, its in the sticker attached to your phone under the battery. on Philippine released phones its in between the stickers of Lenovo and NTC stickers. SECOND location is the sticker on the side of your phone's Lenovo box/carton/package.
8.4. extract/unzip imei.zip that you downloaded in 8.1.
8.5. go to the extracted folder and run "dos.cmd". this will run a DOS console window in your pc.
8.6. in the dos command line type:
imei.exe 123456789012345 123456789012345
then press enter to execute the command line.
whereas, the first set of numbers is your IMEI #1 and second set is your IMEI #2 as you located in Step 8.3.
after pressing enter this will generate your encrypted IMEI file with the name "MP0B_001_NEW". see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/lUUzC3yiTNn
8.7. close the dos console window. rename that file generated "MP0B_001_NEW" to "MP0B_001" (without the qoutes) in the folder where you extracted imei.zip
8.8. copy MP0B_001 to your phone's sd card. for this tutorial just copy it to your sd card's root folder.
8.9. INSTALLING ES Explorer, moving the IMEI file to the phone's correct system folder - install and run es_file_explorer_v1.6.2.4.apk which you previously downloaded and copied to your SD card in step 8.2.
8.10. open ES File explorer on your phone. first window on first run just click okay. tap on the bottom left button of your A60+. tap "Settings". tap "File Settings" select or check "Show Hidden Files". tap back. scroll down and tap "Root Settings". tap or check "Root Explorer". SU pop up will show and grant root or tap yes to give privilege to ES File Explorer. tap or check "Up to Root" and "Mount File System". tap back twice.
8.11. on your sdcard's root/top folder locate the file MP0B_001 which you copied in your sd card in step 8.8.
long press on the icon then tap "Copy". a little pull up window will show at the bottom(which is the clipboard of es file explorer).
8.12. tap the "favorites" icon at the top-right corner. tap the device icon or the one with "/" which is to the right of the HOME or house icon. this will bring you to the root folder of your device. navigate(navigate by tapping the folders) to: /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/
you will see 3 files. long press on the MP0B_001 then select "Delete". yes DELETE you wont be using this anyways. tap okay when youre asked to confirm deletion. at the bottom, swipe up the es file explorer's clipboard. tap on MP0B_001 icon which is in the clipboard. a message will show something like "MP0B_001 successfully copied...". exit es file explorer. RESTART your A60+.
EUREKA!!! you strike gold! you now have a ROOTED A60+ with working caller/sms identification.
Step 9: restore your backups, apps, sms, contacts, settings.

nag eenglish lng ako pra mka benefit din yung mga forangers. hihihihi
Could you also help us how to swap sd card with internal storage? so that apps could directly install in the external sd card.
Link2SD
thanks for the tut bro!!!
to increase internal storage of A60+
we need to install Link2SD
Using Minitool Partition wizard
we need to create 2 partition in our SD card
first partition must be set to Primary & Fat32
second partition must be set to Primary & ext4 (A60+ doesn't recognized fat, fat32, ext2, & Ext3 in second partition)
please note that the second partition even we sized it as 2gb when we open the link2SD storage info
the second partition display it as 1Gb only, but worry not it will still going to use the other space yuo have created
mine, was set to 2gb and have transferred 153MB of files to the second partition
and it is still showing 100% free and used: 153MB
@guilliam perhaps you can add this to your tut.
Thanks again..God Bless!
thanks for this i have rooted my lenovo a60+ hehe, there's one problem i've encountered when i go to setting and click on the about phone the settings becomes force close, is it happened to you? well i had follow the instructions though.. anyway thanks for this TUT hehe hope there will be rom for our lenovo a660+ which had no bugs at all hehe
Guidance needed!
Hello Guiliam
Thanks for such a detailed post. I am quite new to this, and just have some basic understanding on the rooting/flashing etc. I am planning to root my Lenovo A60+ which I have bought in China, which has unnecessary bloatware and more importantly there is no Google Play app in that. I am based in India, and would want to know if your ROM will work for me as well?
Is your post only covering Rooting part or does it also cover any flashing part (custom ROM), the reason I ask is because apart from rooting, I also want to install the ROM which is in English (or can the language be changed automatically?)
I am looking to root my "Lenovo A60+" - primarily for reasons like:
1. I do not have stock Google Play Store app, and I am not sure how to download that app.
2. I have bought this phone in China, and there is lot of unwanted Chinese software which I want to get rid of.
3. I want to get rid of the Chinese keyboard (iFlytek) and only have Android keyboard.
I have questions like:
1. If my rooting fails for some reason, can I un-root the device to restore it to the previous state (i.e. with all the stock apps)
2. I want to avoid bricking my phone, even if it happens, will I be able to go back to the previous state by un-rooting?
Some details of my phone:
Model - Lenovo A60+
Android version - 2.3.6
Build number - A60+_S318_121108
Baseband version - MAUI.11AMD.W11.50.SP.V13.P10,2012/07/13 13:26

You'll need to cancel Windows looking for the drivers. Of course, the installation will fail.
Then go to Device Manager and look for the device with the "!". Right-click on that device, choose Update Driver then locate the drivers that you downloaded.

Question, I need help!
Hi, thanks for the great tutorial, I have successfully rooted my Lenovo a60+! My question is, can I install custom ROMS on my freshly rooted phone? Popular ROMS like Cyanogenmod or Paranoid Android require phone compatibility, and my phone is not on their list. I'm starting to feel sick after I have rooted my phone because I have no idea yet how to install custom roms (which was my main reason of rooting), will you be nice to me by answering these questions?
- Does custom ROMS do require phone compatibility?
- Are all or some custom ROMS compatible to all android phones as long as they are rooted?
- If so, do you have a list of ROMS that are compatible to my Lenovo a60+?
- Lastly, please tell me that there is a way to upgrade the phone's OS from gingerbread to jelly bean or even ice cream sandwich.
Please help me! I have an empty rooted Lenovo a60+ and I need a custom ROM to be installed before I put my data back again. Thanks in advance, and also for the root tutorial. ))
Please! Anyone! Heeeellpp!!!
My Phone is Bricked!
It stays in the Lenovo screen and will not eventually boot up.
I have installed Chainfire 3D from the market and was surprised that it did not have the options that I was expecting from the tutorial, so I read the description on the application, it says, ''Driver not installed, you need to install driver before you can access options''. So i installed the drivers, then everything was ok, I can still use my phone, but Chainfire 3d still needs me to update the drivers, so I did, then, suddenly, my phone's screen just froze, and I cannot access my notifications, home back menu keys, power button, in fact my screen does not work anymore. Feeling nervous, I left it untouched for an hour and checked it back its still the same the moment i left it. So I took the battery out, tried to turn it on again, and now, I'm stuck with the Lenovo screen and will not boot up to stock ROM, please Help me! I need my phone as soon as it is fixed! Please HELP!!!
Here are the details of my rooted Lenovo A60+:
- Followed the rooting process here, so I have Clockwork recovery mod 6
- Has a installed Chainfire 3d 1.7
- Installed stock ROM
- Has no backups
- Can access the recovery mode
- Already done the ''wipe data'' ''wipe cache'' ''factory reset'' and everything, wiped my phone clean.
Please help me, my parents are going to kill me if I can't fix my phone.
Thanks for the post. When I tried I got an error "S_PART_NO_VALID_TABLE (1037)" after the status bar showed 100% in red colour. Need help please. Thank you.
Thank you for the post but it cannot work
Error S_PART_NO_VALID_TABLE (1037), and the status bar stays 100% red color. Anyway, thanks

Lg V20 H910 (up to 20h) (root, twrp, and more!) Noob guide!

i am making this post because i have an lg v20 running 20h. there was no root guides available, so i decided to root mine using an older guide. it succeeded, but was very hard and time consuming. Being a noob at the time, i was also extremely nervous that i could possibly brick my phone or screw something up. i didn't, and no part of this should brick yours either. ***However - if you do somehow break your device in any way, that is on you. by completing these steps, you assume full responsibility. now that we have that out of the way, lets continue. at the end of this guide, you should have a rooted device with your choice of os (7 or 8 - or even a custom rom if you choose!). you should also have twrp. this guide would not have been possible without users runningnak3d and clsA
**** Also, during this Proccess, Your Phone WILL be wiped clean!!! don't forget to back up photos, videos, etc...*****
don't download any other files than from this guide.
1. download these files (required) https://lg-firmwares.com/downloads-file/4578/H91510e_00_VTR_CA_OP_1205.kdz (for a rootable os that we can flash, - get this also (required) https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/guide-patch-lgup-to-unlock-features-t3652222 this program is called lg up and has been patched to work with this phone. you will also need this. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262903990218. these are the root files and need to be all in the same folder as where lg up is installed. you will also need to have access to fastboot and need to have adb installed. that is pretty easy, give it a google search if you still need help.
if you are running 32 bit, get this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
this is the OS. get nougat, which has like three less steps (you can't upgrade to oreo on this os once rooted) or scroll down and get the oreo file. nougat (really old version) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S82HVNt2rAtXgBY499IBJnoCVFnpCf_X/view
Oreo - get this first file, and the ones under it. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904015326
***https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=283977*** You have to have this file if getting oreo. if you chose nougat, then don't get this.
2. Now that you have everything downloaded and installed, put your phone into download mode. (power it off, hold the volume down button and plug in a usb c cable attached to your pc. don't stop holding volume down until you see download mode.)
3. once it is in download mode, open up lg up. select your device, (it should be in standby mode, according to lg up) and click dump (this is a total backup of the phone, you are lucky you know this right now, I didn't when i rooted mine) . it will bring up a file explorer, select where you want it to save to. (I chose my desktop). once you have a folder selected., it will bring up a bunch of options for partitions. click select all and uncheck user data. ****Make SURE that you don't unplug your phone during any part of this process or any other process in this guide, it will permanently brick it. ***** ow that you have selected everything but userdata, click start.
4. once that finishes, you will have made a full backup of your phone in case something goes wrong.
then click the partition DL button and select the h915 v10e kdz file (the file that i said was the rootable os we can flash) (the first file you downloaded). make sure bin file stays checked. then click start. once that finishes, your phone should automatically reboot into an old nougat operating system. then go to settings, enable developer options, and turn on usb debugging. that is easy, if you can't figure it out, google is your friend. now you should have no cellular signal. this is not the permanent ROM.
5. go to the play store and download terminal emulator for android. (once usb debugging has been enabled
then go ahead and go to the folder where you extracted the root files/package. hold shift and right click to open a command windows there or powershell, whatever your pc says. open 2 of those windows. then, in the first one, type, adb logcat -s dirtysanta
****don't close this window.*****
then in the other window, type STEP1.BAT
*****don't close this window.***** It may take a minute, but after a while it will let you type again. once you can, type run-as con
chmod 0777 /storage/emulated/0/*
6. then, pull up the window you used the logcat command in. leave it there so you can watch it
then, on your phone, go to the terminal emulator and type applypatch /system/bin/atd /storage/emulated/0/dirtysanta
once you do that, glance at the logcat window. once it says to run step 2, go to the window where you typed step1.bat. type STEP2.BAT
at this point, your phone should go ahead and reboot and say fastboot mode up at the top. now, go to your window where you typed all the .bats and type STEP3.BAT. wait until your phone reboots and you will see a screen saying that you can;'t use your phone. this is bogus, just ignore it and wait like 10-15 seconds for it to get past that screen. then it will boot that android and you should get a green screen.
Now, quickly, pull the battery from your phone. leave it out for a little while while we prepare the next steps.
If you want oreo, scroll to where it says OREO in capital letters. if you want nougat, scroll to where it says NOUGAT.
NOUGAT
use the file that you downloaded if you selected nougat - it should be a zip. it will be called h910-10r. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE. place it on a pre formatted micro sd card. then, place the battery and sd card back in your phone. also, unplug the phone. then, hold down the volume down key and hold hold the power key. once you see the lg logo, release the power key and immediately hold the power key again. then, you should get a screen that asks if you want to reset your phone. use your volume keys to navigate and select yes, then again confirm it. then, after letting it reboot, it should go into twrp. once there, go to wipe\and select format data. then type yes to confirm. then, go back to the main screen and click wipe again. go ahead and click advanced and wipe your dalvik cache. once done, go to home screen and click install. select the select storage option down at the bottom and change to sd card. then find the h910 zip file and install it. then go ahead and reboot your phone, you will have a rooted android 7 rom. you will also have signal. then download supersu from the play store and open it to have root.
OREO
use the file that you downloaded if you selected oreo - it should be a zip. it will be called something along the lines of full stock oreo rooted. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE. place it on a pre formatted micro sd card. also, go to your root package folder and find the twrp image file and put that on your sd card. then go get the mk200 zip file and also place that on your sd card. then, place the battery and sd card back in your phone. also, unplug the phone. then, hold down the volume down key and hold hold the power key. once you see the lg logo, release the power key and immediately hold the power key again. then, you should get a screen that asks if you want to reset your phone. use your volume keys to navigate and select yes, then again confirm it. then, after letting it reboot, it should go into twrp. once there, go to wipe\and select format data. then type yes to confirm. then, go back to the main screen and click wipe again. go ahead and click advanced and wipe your dalvik cache. once done, go to home screen and click install. select the select storage option down at the bottom and change to sd card. then find the oreo full rooted zip and install it then, install the mk2000 file. after you have done this, click install image and select the twrp. the reason you need to re flash this is because that oreo file re installs the stock recovery. then install the twrp. now reboot your phone. you will have a rooted android 8 rom. you will also have signal. then download a magisk 6.0 manager apk from chrome browser to have root.

Yes, that is why i gave them credit. However, It is more noob friendly and takes the time to explain what they are doing to their own phones as well as give them the option for nougat or oreo, something that none of the other guides have.
Ok, so I did it sucessfully, it's was still very complicated for me as some info is vague for a beginner. But after searching and retrying, and retrying, it worked. but go to runningnak3d post to get more info, and he wanted me to use sd card to root, but that did not work for me.. Your method worked for me. Thanks

your guide is good
+1 for for linking to the missing files from the old guide
+1 for mentioning me and @runningnak3d
you could break up the long paragraphs and bullet style the steps in order so it's easy to follow
theirs a video here of the steps and how the command windows should look > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnRWnSHLGSc
this is where allot get confused in the guide.
I also don't remember you mentioning doing the battery pull after STEP1 when the phone sometimes hangs then run STEP2
I would also change the link to the H915 kdz to the android file host file in case LG changes it.
Their was a guy recently that could not get LGUP working you could make note that you may need the 32 bit VS 2010 > https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
Any how, the guide is OK and the steps are not that bad, after a few tries most anyone can learn it.

alright, thank you so much for the advice! 1. i don't want to switch to bullets because when i was trying runningnak3d's guide, it seemed overwhelming. also people can comment on the step number that they were lost at. 2. i will change the kdz to something else if the file does change. i did in fact mention the battery pull step, if you ever need to find something in a page, hit control and f and then search the page.. i will add the 32 bit file. Thanks!

W O W . . .
What a way to rip-off runningnak3d's guide.
I mean, I can understand rewriting it... I did the same. But, just to parse it out for me to follow better.
But your statement "...there was no root guides available..." is just BS.
Below is my guide... for me to do the process.
Creation date on the text file was November 7, 2017. Just over a week after runningnak3d made the original post.
Difference is, I didn't feel the need to post someone else's work, in an attempt to try claiming credit for it, due to nothing more than a "rewrite".
What you meant to do is this: (FIFY)
Cool guide for rooting your LG V20. Works for 20h, too!

This "run-as con chmod 0777 /storage/emulated/0/*" actually is a two commands:

Search in You Tube for "How to Root install TWRP for LG V20 H910 Edition!" from user NewTechBegins. This is very good video tutorial, step by step.
Hello, so nothing happens for me after I enter the code into terminal emulator, what am I missing?
After all these done I'm rebooted to secure start-up where I need to enter password. Tried my 4 digit VIN and didn't work. As suggested earlier in this thread I pulled battery and wipe everything and install Oreo_full_rooted.zip, mk2000, and TWRP 3.3.1-0. It boots up the same to the secure start-up.
I might have done differently in process.
1. H91510e_00_VTR_CA_OP_1205.kdz I downloaded did NOT match MD5 on its download page. Tried twice and it was the same. I went ahead and used it.
2. I ran into "adb server is out of date, killing.." message but was able to download an adbfix and somehow got through
3. STEP1.BAT and the rest of BAT were not accepted in Win10 powershell so I had to enter them by hand and it went smoothly with no error
4. I used twrp 3.3.1-0 as suggested in NewTechBegins' youtube clip
5. Phone boots into scramble messages like shattered warning sign before LG logo appeals. It will eventually enter twrp or secure start-up after some wait. Takes longer than it should, 5 minutes or so.
Wish to stay on Oreo but might try the 10R Rom if I have no other choice.
Please help.
(Secure start-up appeared the first time after step 3 where it was supposedly be a green screen and I can pull battery. It didn't. It went to secure start-up. I pulled battery anyways and rebooted into TWRP, I was asked to enter password again. After a few wrong attempts I was able to bypass it and enter TWRP to proceed with install)
edit: Eventually succeed by not installing TWRP after flashing OREO and MK2000. Rebooted into Secured Start-up again, pull battery and rebooted into FACTORY Recovery and deleted all user data from there. Rebooted and Android setup began.
Note: BE SURE TO FORMAT DATA AGAIN in TWRP after flashing OREO and MK2000 to have a clean start. Would be nice if it was mentioned in this tutorial.

No bricking risk and nothing dont try to do corss flashing of h915 its not that accurate also there is model issue in crossflashing instead doing that do dirsty santa and install h910 20h simple

I didn't do crossflashing i first installed twrp throught dirty santa which then you have to open from recovery then there is android 8.0 h910 stock rom pre rooted i used or you can use your custom rom to flash then there is an kernel mk2000 file also to flash from twrp after you installed new rom for fixing errors like static screen and like that thats it also if you flash android 8.0 stock of h910 rom you will get a password during booting process just attempt it wrongs for many trys wrotten on it until you see wipe the data prompt and you will factory reset your phone and its ready to go maybe you will be promoted to twrp so you have to factory reset through wipe option ok and you are good to go one thing do it only on h910 not other model there is 0% chance of hard bricking your phone if you did this and no signal problem
Also to understand more go a see my qna with author of this post in this post obviously ok or if you meed more help reply me i will text you

no no need to downgrade anything just find any video which says TWRP installation for LG v20 h910 dirty Santa and flash it but wait I seen in all zip files of dirty Santa there will a final step in that folder called step 3 that file is a batch file just open it in notepad and you will see there is written TWRP for I think us995 just rename it all of them to that name which TWRP in that folder ok for example if the name of the TWRP in dirty Santa folder is twrph910.img
you have to rewrite the same and exact name with .img in that batch file this ting will not tell any YouTuber or in the website cuz, I find it in curiosity and founded that the TWRP name was wrong so I just renamed it in that batch file and it worked before it it wasn't working also download the exact LG v20 h910 TWRP, not any other model TWRP or you will hard brick it man it feels so bad I one time hard bricked my LG next day I bought the device now I just sold it I change the mobo to LG h910 then I did all that root things and then I sell that phone no I have sony xz3 which is way better and have snapdragon 845 octa-core which is the thing I needed in just 135$ I found that it was japan model refurbished but has all things new and original like poled panel and stuff... well if you need more help just don't reply m on XDA you will not get the answer quickly here my social media account

reply me on that I am online all the time but not online on XDA all the time ok
Installed twrp no problem. Had installation issues (error 7) and edited the file. Tried it again and came up with error 1. Saw someone else on xda say to extract the boot img and mount to the recovery partition successfully. Welp, I guess I wasn't so lucky. I can not get into twrp recovery or any recovery and my v20 (910) boots into the Lg android splash screen. My desktop can not see any adb device but it registers a device being plugged in. What's the verdict, soft or hard bricked? Everything was cleared besides twrp prior to error 7 and 1.

Ok so I am here today to give you a TWRP recovery and A Liniage OS 16 Rom ported from a GSI.
And a quick how to on setting it all up..
DISCLAIMER:
I Am In No WAY responsible for ANYTHING YOU choose to do to your phone.
If you use this and your Dog eats your Cat, Your phone catches fire and burns down your house, or you loose all your game-saves pictures and other files it's NOT MY FAULT.
THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DATA AND FORMAT YOUR PHONE!!!
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
MY FASTBOOT DOESN"T WORK !
See-This:
Just grab this package I made for @Sloogle_Flugelmann
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CiGKCPGBJAPvl8R3_24kvdvrQB5V3abI
So requirements are :
#1: Willingness to format your phone and loose all apps and data.{MAKE A BACK-UP}
#2: ADB and Fastboot working on your PC.
#3: The Files I Will Link to or attach .
# Some Time to work on it, and half a Brain
There will be Two methods to accomplish basically the same thing,
Method 1 gives you the long way and it leaves you with the bare basic LOS 16 installed no root no gapps...
on the other hand Method 2 will leave you with LOS 16 and My favorite version of the pixil launcher and stock Gapps included and basically everything working.
METHOD 1-THE LONG ROAD:
STEP 1:
download the package that I will upload for everyone...
STEP 2:
Unlock your bootloader.... there may be multiple ways to do so but for me I enabled usb debugging and OEM unlocking in developers options {if you don't know how to do that you should run far away now !} then I gave the command
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
and this takes you to fastboot mode...
once there issue the following command to unlock your bootloader AND factory-reset the phone
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
then
Code:
fastboot reboot
Now your bootloader is unlocked and your device has been wiped in the process...
so let it boot up then go through the setup wizard and I just skip through everything as we will be wiping it once again in a minute... and just need to get to developer options and re-enable adb...
so do that...
STEP 3: Now that your bootloader is unlocked comes the fun stuff...
Firstly you need an SD-card with at least 4-6 GB free space and before continuing we want to move our LOS-16 System.img to our sd-card so we can install it from TWRP so once that's on the root of Sd-card's storage continue with this guide....
we need to disable DM-Varity to use twrp so we flash a magisk-patched-boot.img
so move the files Patched_boot.img AND twrp_alcatel_5059r_v3-2-3.img to a folder on desktop and open a command prompt /terminal/powershell-window at the file's location.. then issue this command to the phone .
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
and once again we are in fastboot mode.
now we want to use fastboot to replace the stock boot image and stock recovery with our patched boot image and twrp recovery image..
Code:
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
then
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp_alcatel_5059r_v3-2-3.img
after this we want to reboot to recovery using the hardware keys. because if we don't the stock system will erase our twrp and replace it with stock recovery on boot.
so we do
Code:
fastboot reboot
and soon as you press enter on your keyboard grab the phone and continually hold down the volume-up key and hold the power key .
once you see the alcatel logo and message about unlocked bootloader, you quickly release ONLY the power key for a second then repress and hold it for a count of 5 seconds. then release the power key again and quickly repress it for another 5 seconds and keep doing that for a moment until the screen flashes white then displays the TWRP splash screen.
once we are in twrp it'll ask for the encryption password...
WE DONT HAVE ONE , So just hit Cancel
then it'll ask about system modifications and whatnot,
just swipe to allow modifications.
now we want to head to Wipe > Advanced-Wipe > Format Data
you'll have to type in
Code:
yes
and let it do it's thing.
once done with that we need to reboot to recovery so click the back arrow several times until you are back at twrp's min screen.
head over to Reboot>Recovery
the phone should reboot right back to twrp, you shouldn't see the encryption password screen this time as we formatted DATA.
so now swipe to allow modifications and head back to
Wipe>Advanced-Wipe and check the boxes for system,dalvik-cache,cache,data....
then swipe to wipe them.
then you want to hit the back arrow again till at the main twrp screen again.
Head to Install click on select storage, choose your Sd-card
Click on install zip to change it to install image.
select the LOS image we moved to the Sd-card prieviously,
click on System as the install location.
and finally swipe to flash it.
let it do it's thing.
once completed you will want to click the back arrow again until main twrp screen and reboot to recovery once more....
now once in recovery again you swipe to allow modifications and need to replace the GSI's build.prop file with the one I am including in the zip.
I used adb to accomplish this...
on your PC move the included build.prop file to your working directory{folder your working out of}
and use the terminal/command prompt/powershell to give the following commands
Code:
adb devices
you should see the device identified by serial number and the word recovery next to it
then
Code:
adb shell
you should have a root shell on the device,
Code:
rm -rf /system/build.prop
then
Code:
exit
now your back to pc terminal so type:
Code:
adb push build.prop /system/build.prop
Code:
adb shell
back to root shell
Code:
chmod 0644 /system/build.prop
and then
Code:
reboot now
at this point your phone should reboot and everything was done correctly it'll go past the alcatel logo and bootlock message and then display the LOS 16 boot animation then it'll show a funny looking screen that has an android guy and the message " Please wait while your device is being encrypted"
it'll have a progress counter and when the count-down reacheds zero it'll just hang there....
that's ok, hold the power key until the phone reboots and you should get the los bootanimation followed by the LOS setup wizard start screen.
and you go through the set-up wizard and you'll be in LOS 16 PIE
Now if you want google apps to work there's a few more steps and they will be the same for both method 1 and method 2
if you flash gapps after rebooting from that you'll get a million messages about google play services and google apps crashing ... it's ok
you need to enable usb debugging in the LOS 16 and then sideload the apk ( Device+ID.apk )
Code:
adb sideload "Device+ID.apk"
once installed
open it to get the GSF registration number for your device.
then if you open the play store you'll be greeted by the google DEVICE UNCERTIFIED page...
Don't fret , this is why we fixed the build.prop to reflect our devices orig. build fingerprint...
So scroll down to the bottom of that page and see the last option about Custom Roms
there is a link there... long press that link and choose open in browser
you'll be greeted by the registration page for google...
make sure you are signed into google through your browser...( <---VERY IMPORTANT ) by opening another page to google gmail or the like and signing in with your google account.
then go back to the registration page and hit refresh ...
now it should recognize you by your gmail account in the top right corner i think.
anyhow... go to that ( Device+ID.apk ) that we sideloaded and click on the second set of numbers down the list it should mention (GSF) and choose copy . it'll copy the numbers to your clipboard.
now go back to the browser page from google about registration and paste the copied number into the place next to the (Register) button and then click the register button
it should then list your id converted to decimal on the page...
I did this several times from my PC and got no where but after doing it from the phone it's self a couple minutes later i clicked on one of the error messages about google play services and wholy-krap it finnally let me open google-play-store.
at this point your ready to go....
for an informative article with pictures about this check here:
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-fix-device-not-certified-by-google-error/
Now for Method 2
method two involves all the same steps as method 1 up until you get to TWRP... except that instead of moving the LOS16 system.img to your Sdcard before begining you'll want to extract the alcatel-idelXTRA-5059r-LOS16-modded-2019-05-23.zip I've included and move that whole folder to the sdcard...then
go back and read method 1 and once you are booted into twrp for the first time STOP and come back here to Method 2
Now once you get to twrp the first time the first thing to do is click cancel on the encryption screen then swipe to allow modifications on the next screen. then once at the main twrp screen we need to make a back-up that we will likely never use...
so go to Backup>choose storage (micro sd-card) and then make a back-up, Name the back-up My-Backup so that you can easily find it later. to save space and time I'd recommend backing up just the boot partition.
that'll complete quickly...
now for the weird work-around/Dirty-Hack stuff
you should have the contents of alcatel-idelXTRA-5059r-LOS16-modded-2019-05-23.zip a folder called (alcatel-idelXTRA-5059r-LOS16-modded-2019-05-23) on the root of your sd-card's storage...
and we just made our first back-up from twrp of our boot partition.
so from the main twrp screen we go to Advanced>File-manageer>external_sd we should find a folder labeled(TWRP)
inside that should be a folder labled (BACKUPS) and inside that should be yet one more folder with your device's serial or android ID as the label mine is (49NJ6TORP****VRG) your's may read differently. and finally inside That folder you should find the back-up you previously made (My-Backup) if you followed my instructions.
now we need to go back to the root of our sd-card's storage by clicking (up a level) several times and then click on the folder i had you move there earlier (alcatel-idelXTRA-5059r-LOS16-modded-2019-05-23) and once you click it you'll see files inside look down to the right hand corner in twrp
you should see a little blue folder button with a check-mark , Click that button
then it'll show you options....
click (Move) button then click (up a level) it'll look like it took you all the way back to the beginning top level of file manager, now we navigate to where we want the folder Moved to, so click external_sd > TWRP>BACKUPS>49NJ6TORP****VRG"or what-ever it named your device" > and when you see your (My-Backup) folder STOP... now click the folder button bottom right again, and you're presented with a screen saying moving blah blah blah : to : blah blah blah...
just swipe to move it there.
once you've done that click the back arrow to leave file manager and back out to the main twrp screen again...
Now click Restore>select storage> Micro Sdcard >ok and you should see two things to choose from...
(My-Backup) " the one you created earlier "
and
(alcatel-idelXTRA-5059r-LOS16-modded-2019-05-23)
obviously choose the second one (alcatel-idelXTRA-5059r-LOS16-modded-2019-05-23)
it'll ask you which partitons to restore
make sure ALL of the available boxes are checked should be boot, recovery, cache, and system
then swipe to restore...
after that's done we want to make sure we don't have any issues so back out to the main twrp screen
go to Wipe>Advanced Wipe and choose Dalvik/art Cache and also Cache and Data
swipe to wipe.
then back out once more and goto Wipe>Format Data and type yes and click the blue check mark on the keyboard to continue
after formating data
back out to main twrp screen and go to Reboot>System and if prompted choose NOT to install TWRP app
it wont work for you any way.
it should now reboot and do the please wait while encrypting your device thing again ...
after it counts down to zero it'll hang so just hold down the power button until it reboots and you'll get los boot animation followed by Los setup wizard.
go ahead and setup your device once completed the setup wizard you'll want to follow the part at the end of Method 1 above to get google apps and playstore working.....
then you're Done.
enjoy
NOTE with method two you'll also have a modified /system/etc/hosts file so you'll basically have ad malware and porn protection too. if you don't want that you can replace the content of your hosts file with
Code:
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
from twrp etc.
if you like what I've done and want to motivate me to do even more please click thanks and consider a small donation of the price of a coffee or stout Beer

will upload separately later

here's the zip with patched_boot.img
UNZIP IT

Edit 3:
Alternate "Better" recovery. !
there are two other recovery ports and I'd recommend either of them over this TWRP.
That being said, if you use method 2 to restore my back-up above...
Please do so with the twrp linked here as thats what made the back-up.
Here's The link to other better recoverys...
keep digging for it
almost there..

EDIT 4:
Making Magisk Just WORK Dammit!
So here is something Nice, We now can have Magisk root on any Pie GSI's by flashing this zip-file .
NOTE TO THREAD HOPPERZ:
THIS IS INTENDED ONLY FOR THIS DEVICE.
IT WILL LIKELY WORK ALSO ON THE ALCATEL TETRA SINCE THE FILES AND PATH ARE THE SAME
DO NOT FLASH THIS TO ANYTHING ELSE!!!
Credit for this go's to a guy who figured out the lib file was missing in most gsi images,
My-self for putting it all together in a flashable zip.
and to @TheExploitedOne for his help fixing error 6 on my updater script and blindly flashing it first
The-Good-Stuff: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qgZJyEOfVuN7POv_YKAunm-62oNRFhUb
Credit where it's due:
 @Sloogle_Flugelmann and @riskybusiness
for the thread located:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/alcatel-idealxtra-5059r-root-t3885536
Which got me thinking....
also
@Andy Yan for building the GSI that I used to port this
@phhusson for all the work on treble and GSI'S that made this possible
 @topjohnwu for magisk
and Alcatel / TCL for making it easy this time.
Ok so I found a way to disable forced encryption.
allowing TWRP to use our /Data partition again Yeay!!!
So here's how to do it...
Download the attached file from this post....
put it on your desktop or what ever folder your working out of...
Extract IT and find fstab.mt6739
open your terminal/CMD window and then boot to TWRP.
once in TWRP go ahead and go to Mounts>vendor
and make sure /vendor partition is mounted...
then go back to the pc and type...
Code:
adb shell rm -rf /vendor/etc/fstab.mt6739
Code:
adb push fstab.mt6739 /vendor/etc/fstab.mt6739
Code:
adb shell chmod 0644 /vendor/etc/fstab.mt6739
now go back over to fone, and in twrp back out to main screen and then go to wipe>format Data >type yes
let it do that....
once finished go ahead and reboot to android system
It'll boot up and takes a few minutes to go through the whole set-up wizard again.
but this time you will NOT see the darn little Encrypting the Krap out of android screen...
PROFIT !!!!!
Method 2:
NO PC NEEDED
Download attached file , EXTRACT IT , move fstab.mt6739 to your external sd card....
reboot to twrp,
in twrp at main screen go to
Mount>vendor and make sure /vendor is mounted, and mount> Micro SD Card make sure you have sdcard mounted...
then hit back arrow.
from main screen go to Advanced > File Manager > vendor > etc > fstab.mt6739
click the file and then click Delete
now scroll back to top (Up A Level) > (Up A Level) > external_sd
now look for the file you downloaded with the name fstab.mt6739
click on it then click Move
then once again vendor > etc
now click the little blue folder icon bottom right corner
It'll say,
Moving
Blahblahblah
to
Blahblahblah
just swipe to confirm
after that hit Back
now to fix the permissions
(up a level) > vendor > etc > click on fstab.mt6739
click on chmod
it'll show
Permissions
0000
go ahead and delete the zeros and then type 0644
then hit the checkmark to complete action (bottom right corner)
once done just hit back back back...
till main twrp screen
now to format data to remove the encryption...
back out to main screen and then go to wipe>format Data >type yes
let it do that....
once finished go ahead and reboot to android system
It'll boot up and takes a few minutes to go through the whole set-up wizard again.
but this time you will NOT see the darn little Encrypting the Krap out of android screen...
PROFIT !!!!!
If this helped you, please consider the thanks button....
If this saved your day maybe you'd like to buy me a cup of coffee?
ENJOY
Network unlock package available now
Ok so I have found a way to network unlock the fone but developing it has cost me nearly $80
I am considering sharing a restore package that you can use to restore a back-up from twrp to get your fone Unlocked for any GSM carrier...
But as I have seen NO ONE post in this thread yet, I'll save it...
I may even make it a gift for anyone who donates anything more than $3 to me for my time effort and expenses in developing all this stuff.
if anyone's interested either hit thanks and post about your interest here...
or shoot me a private message...
Got it fully rooted
I got the los 16 pie gsi rooted through a long combination of dirty hacks that in the end allows the official los 16 addonsu to work correctly.
Don't know if ill ever get around to sharing exact details but I will upload a rooted los 16 rom here very soon
will work on that getting that rooted system.img uploaded sometime this week hopefully
Alcatel Da And Auth Files
I scoured the net and finally took apart another program to get these but here's the AUTH & DA files for this device....
also going to add an archive containing all ALCATEL DA and AUTH files I have now....
of course it seems I'm the only one interested in this device...
so probably no one will ever think to look here for them...
but if you do , And if this helps in any way....
Don't forget to click thanks button
Come a long way on this device...
Too bad no one else seems interested ?

I'll load up a lk.bin that you can flash using root and DD.
I'll include a ReadMe with exact instructions.
For temp root to flash the lk.bin you're gonna want to use mtk-su
I'll include everything needed in a zip and load it up here.
May take me a little bit since I'm hanging with the family for 4th.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention,
I been so busy developing for the tetra lately because no one seemed interested here.
If you go back and re-read OP,
I've added a fastboot fix zip with everything needed and instructions
the zip is for a windows user ,
for linux just replace the ./adb.exe with adb
in the commands issued to pc
Let me know if you need help.

Awesome! Thank you. Yeah I just got this phone as a secondary/backup phone and assumed nobody would even be interested in doing anything with this phone. Was kinda surprised to see any progress.
Also, I recommend using Wordpad because Notepad made it one long line of text
Regardless of what or how many times I try, I always end up on a stuck boot screen with circle crossing the screen on the LOS16 rom.

The issue will be this:
If I modify that in any way and you flash it
You will have a brick .
You can only flash modded images after you unlock the bootloader.
Best advice is to look for older or other copies of firmware from the manufacturer and hopefully one of those will allow you to get fastboot.
Anything not signed by manufacturer will brick u .

Going to start work on several other device specific
System images for it.

I've been intrested a while now!
NOTE: I do have fastboot now from your package
Are you able to upload a copy of the unlocked bootloader images? I currently can't use fastboot because it requires USB 2.0 rather than 3.0 (which is bs in my opinion). I just plan to flash the images and unlock without the data wipe. Thank you again for your work sir!!!!

How To Guide The Complete Noob Guide to Rooting Moto G Stylus (2022) XT-2211 Mediatek Variant

This is NOT for the 2021 Moto 5G Stylus. This guide is exclusively for the Moto 5G Stylus 2022.
This tutorial is for people like me than just got the Moto 5G Stylus XT2211 (Factory Unlocked Mediatek Variant) running on stock Android 11. I got this phone literally Sunday brand new in the box from Best Buy (Yes, I took a Chance and copped it from them hoping it could be bootloader unlocked). This is a hand holding guide for the Noobs that really are intimidated by rooting their device, so even though there are other guides up, this one is for people like me that need every step explained.
Follow the following at your own risk! I am not responsible for any mishaps with your devices.
I've been rooting Motorola phones now for five years, so I'm pretty handy as a script kiddie (I know bad word) in doing it. I also was pretty active with my last phone over at the Moto One 5G Ace Forums, so here's to hoping my progress with these phones continues.
Thanks to Android 11 being System As Root with all these new super partitions running amuck (like Android 10), you cannot get Write access in the actual system files. So even when you achieve root, you can't do much without getting a script and accessing those partions. @lebigmac and @munjeni have been constantly working on that. Drop by their respective threads on R/W access and beta test his script so he can get more knowledge about how Moto phones work so we can have easy R/W access like Xiaomi and Huawei phones.
Introduction/Preparation
First, go and prepare by READING EVERYTHING. Very important. This is the Mediatek variant and NOT the Qualcomm variant. Flashing does make a difference between the two. Last thing you want to do is brick the device because you flashed the wrong firmware to the wrong processor, or you flashed other software for the other similar Moto One 5G Stylus (2021) and it bricked. This is the MILAN version.
Second, unlock the bootloader. All T-Mobile and their subsidiary variants can be unlocked by Motorola as well as International and Motorola factory variants; go to their bootloader official unlock site and follow their instructions, it's easy peasy. If you do it in firefox it may not go to the third step page and hang on the page where you put the long code in (follow instructions on page to get the unlock code you'll see what I'm talking about). It is HIGHLY ADVISABLE to do this in Firefox or Chrome (I used Firefox). And yes, you may have to request the code 3x to get it to send to your email depending on their server traffic. When you get it, follow Motorola's instructions for unlocking the bootloader in fastboot. It will show you that the bootloader is unlocked.
Make sure the code you're copying and pasting is correct. If it is incorrect it will not approve you for bootloading unlocking and not tell you the code was missing a letter/number. They are getting sneaky.
***IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OEM UNLOCKING GREYED OUT***
If your OEM Unlock tab is greyed out in the Developer Options, just know that Motorola/Lenovo now have some weird timer on that to activate. I had to wait 3 days for mine to activate. Some report it takes longer. Others reported it was 3-4 days. I factory restored, reflashed the firmware, etc. day one just to make sure anything funky that could be put in there was clean and brand spanking new. Not saying you have to do this but there have been varying reports on Moto phones since 2020 about how long this takes. If you're not sure if yours can be bootloader unlocked, get the code from Moto. If it can it will email it to you and from ther ejust wait.
Verizon and ATT Variants CANNOT BE BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED.
***NOTES SO YOU DON'T FREAK OUT***
1. The Command Prompt will tell you it is locked and you will see "flashing unlocked" on the phone in fastboot once it is done.
2. The only way to restore the phone if something goes wrong is by flashing it via fastboot. The way to get to fastboot is turn the phone off and press Volume Down and Power. The Motorola tool will NOT work. That's normal.
3. You will see a cute message that you've unlocked the bootloader and that the phone software integrity is compromised when you boot the phone up every single time after the bootloader unlock. It will also say press the power button to pause. This is normal. Give it a minute, you havent broke it.
4. OEM Unlocking should already be activated and greyed out in the Developer Options once the bootloader is unlocked; you can't access it anymore and it will tell you if the bootloader is unlocked.
Files
You will need an SD card for root. You will also need other apks to successfully help you pull off root ready to install. Pull ALL the necessary files you will need.
1. Get Minimal ADB and Fastboot OR Tiny ADB and Fastboot (it's easier).
2. Download the Motorola Drivers from their site if yo don't already have them (if you run into problems you will have to uninstall and reinstall them through their utility which is found on PC here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Motorola Shared\Mobile Drivers
3. Cpu-Z.apk (Very important, its hard to know your hardware without this).
4. Magisk v22.0.apk (They no longer have a separate Magisk Manager)
5. Root Explorer.apk (This software helps navigation better but you can use any Explorer of your choice).
6. Root Checker.apk
7. Stock Firmware XT2211-2_MILAN_RETUS_11_RRDE31.Q3-73-12_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_cid50_R2_CFC.xml (This is important if you mess up the boot image trying to root). You can get the firmware of your choice at Motorola Official Firmware For Milan.
8. Patience (and a good movie keeping you going).
As of now this device as no TWRP, so you have to do this the old fashioned way to root. And just so you know, I used Windows 10 for all of this.
Pre-Rooting
1. Make sure the phone is fully charged.
2. Make sure your sim card is REMOVED from the phone. Everytime you wipe the phone or do anything messing with the boot image the phone resets itself to factory settings, and tries to push an update. Just take the silver key thing and pop it out. You will have to push it back in and out in a second, but start with it out.
3. Make sure your wifi is OFF.
4. Make sure your SD is in and mountable and all files you need are on the card.
5. Make sure you Save boot.img to your SD Card from your firmware files. This is very important for root.
6. Make sure your developer options are activated.
7. Make sure your USB debugging is enabled AND you've given permissions for your computer to have administrative access with it enabled (more on this below).
8. Make sure to check CPU-Z for your hardware specs so you download the right files for the phone and avoid potential problems.
9. Make sure you manually set USB to Transfer files (no other option will work and by default its set to Charge this Device).
10. Make sure you have the STOCK CABLE that comes with the phone. Like most Motorolas this model is funky about using other cables.
11. Make sure you back up all your calls, texts, pics, etc. Flashing the firmware is the ultimate factory reset and you will lose all your files on the phone. SMS Restore is a good software to backup Calls and Text logs and it supports keeping MMS.
12. Make sure you have the internet. It is necessary for some steps.
Rooting
1. Make sure all the firmware files are extracted into your Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (or whatever ADB folder you're using for this).
2. Open FlashFile.xml in Notepad. This is located among the firmware files you put in the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.
3. Cut, copy, and paste everything from the FlashFile that is shown and then paste it in an online Flash file Converter if you are flashing a fresh version of the stock firmware. I used Online Flash File Converter here. I recommend this just in case you're on a newer firmware - if not jump to Step 13.
4. Convert the text by pressing the bar below where you pasted the text. It may be in Spanish or Portuguese but is should say something like Cerar Commandos.
5. Copy the text by hitting the two pieces of paper icon in the corner after it's converted. Or just cut copy and paste manually.
6. Turn the phone completely OFF.
7. Plug your phone via USB cable into the computer.
8. Press Volume Down and Power to boot into fastboot mode. Do not use "adb reboot bootloader" as that command may or may not work and hang at "waiting for device" (it was iffy for me and it knocked off USB permissions BADLY).
9. Open up Minimal ADB and Fastboot (Make sure you don't have it set to open this as an administrator, it messes with permissions) Make sure your firmware files are in the Minimal ADB directory or it won't work.
10. Paste the contents of the flashfile converter into Minimal ADB and Fastboot. This should start the process of the flashing.
11. When the entire flash is complete, boot the phone and disconnect phone from the computer. Ignore the bootloader unlock error.
12. Wait. Sometimes this takes up to 3-5 minutes on a new flash. You should see the boot animation of Motorola.
13. Push your Sim Card back into the phone.
14. Start setting up your device on the screen. Sim Card must be in or it will give you a message your phone is Network Locked.
15. Once you make it to the Wifi Setup screen take the Sim back OUT the phone. Do not connect to Wifi.
16. Once you are done with setup, go to Settings>About phone.
17. Go all the way down to Build Number and press it until you unlock Developer Options.
18. Go to Settings>System>Advanced>Developer Options. Advanced is a pull down tab that will reveal Developer Options.
19. Disable Automatic System Updates. I know this is hard for some people, but a forced OTA update may cause problems and prohibit root.
20. Enable USB Debugging. Disable Verify bytecode of debuggable apps. Disable Verify apps over USB if it is highlighted. Exit.
21. Put your SD/Sim card back into the phone.
22. Go to the Files folder and install Magisk first, then Root Explorer and Root Checker.
23. Open Magisk. You will see Magisk and App. Hit Install by Magisk (a fingerprint looking icon is to its left).
24. Allow Magisk to access photos, media, and files if it asks.
25. Select option "Select and Patch A File."
26. It will take you to a screen where you can select your explorer to navigate to your SD card where you saved the boot.img. Go there and select it.
27. Magisk will save it as magisk_patched.img. Once you get it patched, find where it saved, make sure it's on your SD card and then turn off the phone.
28. Plug your phone via USB cable into the computer.
29. Press Volume Down and Power to boot into fastboot mode.
30. Open up a fresh Minimal ADB and Fastboot (Make sure you don't have it set to open this as an administrator, it messes with permissions) Make sure you transfer the magisk_patched.img that Magisk patched off your SD card into this folder.
31. Rename your original boot.img to "boot.img original" or whatever distinct name you want to give it in your Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.
32. Rename your magisk_patched.img to boot.img.
33. In Minimal ADB and Fastboot type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and hit enter.
34. If all goes well it should flash to the partition before it says done and in how many seconds.
35. When it is done, reboot phone by selecting START (keep pressing volume rockers until you see it, then press the power button).
36. Wait for the bootloader cannot be trusted screen to pass (may take a minute) and wait for the Hello Moto opening.
37. Open Root Checker and confirm root. You can uninstall it after confirmation if you like.
38. Open Root Explorer. A prompt asking you to grant permission should pop up.
Congrats. You should be rooted now.
***NOTES SO YOU DON'T FREAK OUT***
1. Do NOT flash someone else's patched boot image. It WILL NOT WORK. Do the work, find your firmware, and patch the boot image yourself. You're asking for bootloop hell if you do as your boot.img that Magisk patches needs to match that particular firmware you used.
2. While it hasn't happened to me, You may have followed everything perfect and it still bootlooped. Save yourself the frustration and just flash it over. See the next section on the proper way to flash so you don't lose your baseband, IMEI, or any other important stuff.
3. While you won't lose anything just flashing boot.img, you will lose everything having to flash ALL the firmware over. Keep backups of all your important stuff.
****Notes on Flashing The Stock Firmware if you have to****
In the event you bootloop and have to start from scratch, follow my guide on restoring the firmware on the phone. And don't worry - it won't relock the bootloader. You can find my guide here: The Complete Noob Guide to Flashing via Fastboot Factory Unlocked Moto 5G Stylus XT2211 [Mediatek Variant]
Hope this helps my fellow TMobile and subdiary acolytes and others. I'll be working on securing R/W access soon.
I will try and answer questions if I can or point you in the right direction.
Moderator Announcement This guide is only for the The Moto 5G Stylus (2022), and will be moved once the Administrators create a separate forum for this device.
