Try this!!! If you have root & recovery.... it will make it work because i'm on HTC one m7 5.1.1 :fingers-crossed:

Ok, i'll try!
Because i've tried another hub resources etc etc but moving the apk in system/app.
It works, but not 100%.
The bb services crashed a lot and the hub didn't work so well, gmail didn't synchronize.

ICS Multitouch Keyboard (12 November 2011)
This keyboard was brought out by a few members a week ago . What I love about ICS keyboard is it is a true multitouch keyboard. Normally I dont use keyboard as GB keyboard wont catch up my typing speed. It will just missed some letters. But now, with a full multitouch keyboard, I wont miss anymore words. If you are interested on this apps, head to this thread and download it. Guides are provided in that thread. Dont forget to thank him.

Hi guys, my first post for those that are having trouble with your music library after trying to install the new Music App. TL;DR at end.
Step 1: Uninstall the Google Music app on your phone (the one that links to your Google Music Beta, not the Music app that came with the phone)
Step 2: Install the Google Music 4.0.1 apk.
Step 3: Once the app is installed Open it. You will have a notification in your status bar (It looks like a Triangle with an exclamation mark in it.) Pull down your menu and touch the item asking for permissions. It will ask if you would allow the app to access your Google account, agree to it. Now exit the Music App.
Step 4: Go to your Accounts and Sync Settings (Menu > Settings > Accounts and Sync) and select your Google account ([email protected]). In that menu you will see different items to sync including Books, Contacts, and etc. At this time you will not see Sync Music (at least I didn't). Press your menu button and select "Sync now" anyway.
Step 5: Go back to the Google Music App and now it will allow you to setup your music beta account and sync.
Hope this helps ^ ^, Good luck.
TL;DR > Uninstall previous google music apps, Install new one, Allow permissions, Sync Google account.

Same thing happens if i come to this thread with the browser and click the attachment.
Odd as I have downloaded apks from other sites as well as used the xda QR codes for other downloads

Are you an app-freak? over hundreds of apps installed and 20 Google Play Store updates per week?
Whether your answer is yes or no, you will have to know this, or it will be too late when you really face the problem.
"One day, I encountered a kernel panic when I was downloading apps, after a reboot all apps in "my apps" are gone. wtf."
"AMFG HELP I NEED TO UPDATE MY APPS I CANNOT LOSE THEM HELL IM FREAKED OUT I DUN WANNA USE AMAZON OR APPBRAIN! I WANT ANDROID MARKET"
"I lost my data/wifi connection when I was updating 30 apps at once, those apps which needs update, gone, but the others remain."

No problem, you are at the right place.
What we usually do when we encounter it
Yeah you may press on them for real results
No worries, here we go.
This is not a significant or top-prioritised system error.
We don't ask our devs to help us, as this is not their job.
But this **** is really annoying,
and Google ignores us.
We love our apps,
and we really want their update notifications normally.
So we investigate into it and try it ourselves.
We start from the easiest method, to the longest ones.
Disclaimer

I do not guarantee that your Android Market will be fixed.
But according to my experiences and my deep research over the internet,
I think they will mostly fix the “My Apps” section for you! :D

blah blah blah blah blah I will laugh at you.
Your warranty will be void if you use methods with ROOT.
Yes of course there are some without the need of root! ;)
If you see this icon beside the title of the method, that means the method requires ROOT.
If not, then root is not required and you are good to go with any phone!

WARNING
Eris Market Fix
is working on most Android 2.1 devices.
is working on some Android 2.2 devices.
is working on a few Android 2.3.0 to 2.3.3 devices.
will **** up your phone if you are newer than Android 2.3.3.
As the app developer said, use at your own risk while you are not using on an Eris.
And for me, I do not recommend using this app, on your super new Android versions.

*Recommended Market versions are for reference.
They are categorized based on my experiences and knowledge.
You may also try the methods of the alternate recommended Market versions.
There will be no harm at all as long as I don’t make a warning.
The Basics
The Basics
Android Market Versions
User Temasek is one of my friend which is very advanced in Android and he got a lot of resources.
(Also in his signature,) His MediaFire Share Folder includes:
The newest Android Market apk [in 'Android Market' folder]
The newest newest GAPPS flashable zip (including newest market) [in 'Unofficial GAPPS' folder]
FAQ: Yes you may use the newest "For Android 2.3.X only" as long as you are using any version of Gingerbread.
The old Android Market apks [in 'Android Market' > 'Old Android Markets' folder)
I recommend 2.3.6 as it is the latest old market with the least amount of bugs.
How to open application management screen
Don't laugh, some of the new Android users really don't know about this.
Please make sure if your market version is the one with the ROM (not updated automatically or manually after ROM flash), it will only appear in the "ALL" tab.
App - Titanium Backup for Android
It refers to its Market Page and its Official Site.
Pro version gives the freezing option.
Freezing the Market Updater
Freeze the system app "Market Updater 1.0", if you are downgrading from Market 3.X.X to 2.3.X
or this app will auto download Market 3.X.X and upgrade it without your permission.
If you do not have Titanium Backup Pro, try uninstalling it with Root Uninstaller.
No worries, Market Updater will be back when you flash your ROM/GAPPS again.
Android Market Content Filtering
I am not sure whether this is affecting the issue, but for me, I always put all of them on to prevent Google from hiding any apps for me
Google Accounts in Android Market
I know this is quite a common "solution",
But still, make sure you have chosen the correct Google Account for your Market!!
The Android Market version 2.3.X
The Android Market version 2.3.X
(2.3.6 is recommended)
1. Simple Clearing
1) Go to the application management screen of "Market".
2) Force stop it.
3) Clear cache.
4) Clear data.
5) Open Market, open "My Apps" list and check whether all your apps are there.
If this doesn’t help, try performing a reboot between steps 4 and 5!
2. Random App Installation
When you encounter your "error" (kernel panic, connection lost, market force close, etc.)
you may have not install/uninstall any app on your phone because you focused on the market problem.
From others & my experiences, installing an app will cause Android Market to refresh the "My Apps" list.
1) Force stop Market.
2) Clear cache.
3) Open Market, do NOT open "My Apps" list.
4) Install a random app. (it doesn't matter which, but light ones are recommended so it saves time and data)
5) Open "My Apps" list, check whether all your apps are there.
3. Random App Re-installation
It is similar to Method 2, but in a slightly different way
As it causes the Market to refresh the list for 2 times - app uninstallation and app installation
it is still worth a try.
1) Force stop Market.
2) Clear cache.
3) Open Market, do NOT open "My Apps" list.
4) Uninstall a random app. (Choose those which does not store important app data on your phone as uninstalling it will wipe all the data of that app)
I recommend: Google Voice Search / Google Goggles / Stopwatch apps / Benchmark apps / Calculator apps... you know what I mean
5) Force stop Market. (no need to clear cache)
6) Open Market, do NOT open "My Apps" list.
7) Install any app. (You can install the uninstalled one if you want it back)
8) Open "My Apps" list, check whether all your apps are there.
The Google Play Store version 3.X.X
The Google Play Store version 3.X.X
(latest version is recommended)
4. Market Doctor from Titanium Backup
I forgot whether this is a PRO only function or not,
but just try it IF:
- You have backed up ALL your apps (versions can be ignored) BEFORE the "error" (kernel panic, connection lost, etc) occured.
- You installed the latest version of Titanium Backup to perform Market Doctor.
It sometimes helps, but if it doesn't, don't worry, it has very less chance to cause harm.
According to the app developers' announcement in the update on 7 March 2012 (version 4.8.2), Titanium Backup is working with the new Google Play store.
5. Downgrading Google Play Store
As I've tried some of the methods above, Google Play Store version 3.X.X is harder to be fixed!
If you can accept the older look of 2.3.X (its faster though ), you may choose to downgrade your Google Play and try the methods above.
If Google Play Store / GAPPS with your ROM is 2.3.X and was auto updated by Market Updater or manually by yourself with an apk:
1) Press "Uninstall Updates" beside "Force Stop" (in my screenshot, the "Cancel" button)
Sorry my ROM is with the newest Google Play Store so there isnt an option like this but you will have it.
2) Freeze/remove "Market Updater 1.0". (Refer to The Basics above)
(Optional) Check whether if it downgrades your Market to an excessively old version (i.e. 2.3.3). If so, you may choose to manually upgrade to 2.3.6. (Refer to The Basics above)
3) Follow the instructions in the above section (Market version 2.3.X).
If Google Play Store / GAPPS with your ROM is 3.X.X and you also do not have the "uninstall updates" button:
1) Download the older version (2.3.6) of Market from The Basics above
2) With Root Explorer (There are free alternatives, if you can't find them on Market, try Software Development Section in XDA Android Forum)
3) Rename the Market apk to "Vending.apk"
4) Mount R/W in /system/app
5) Copy and Paste the downloaded "Vending.apk" into /system/app. Yes, replace the original one with the ROM.
6) Do not forget to freeze/remove "Market Updater 1.0"
7) Follow the instructions in the above section (Market version 2.3.X).
Finally I'm proud to announce...
6. The Ultimate Framework Wipe
Lol the name sounds scary but actually no danger at all!
This was the most lately discovered by me, and for me it is working on both versions!
How about you?
This is gonna be a bit longer, read and follow carefully.
1) Go to the application management screen of "Google Play Store".
2) Clear cache of "Google Play Store".
3) Force stop "Google Play Store".
DO NOT CLEAR DATA OF "Google Play Store".
4) Go to the application management screen of "Google Services Framework".
5) Clear data of "Google Services Framework".
6) Confirm it.
7) LONG PRESS POWER MENU AND REBOOT RIGHT NOW. ON THIS SCREEN.
8) Open Google Play Store, open "My Apps" list and check whether all your apps are there.

Just download this App Market Fixer by Kstudio from Android Market.
Use it to scan for offending Apps, Note that it requires active data connection. What it basically does is compare your Apps database with the online Android Market Database and then single out the offending Apps. Presently, the only solution it offers is to uninstall the Apps from your Phone which for me is unacceptable because most of them are Samsung Core System Apps like Videos, Galllery etc, you don't wanna lose your System Apps.
When the scan finish just take note of the offending Apps, it would help to write them down. Do not use their Fix tool because it will delete the Apps from your Phone or if you use REMOVE MARKET LINKS ONLY those Apps will give you FORCE CLOSE afterwards. The best option is go to Titanium Backup --> Batch --> Detach User & System Apps from Market --> Deselect all --> NOW SELECT ONLY THE OFFENDING APPS --> Run the Batch Operation --> Reboot.
After this go back to Android Market and all your Apps will be there. If It didn't work the first time, redo the whole process, maybe you missed one App.
This has 99.9% success and I believe it will work for you.
ADDITION
For those of us that Schedule Backups with TB, you have to do some tweaks to your Preferences if not; after such backups, the whole problem will come back again. This is all you have to do:
Go to Preferences --> Deselect MARKET LINK (When backing up an app, save its Market Link. Requires SQlite).
Be aware that this might happen again if you upgrade ROM or restore whole system with TB Backup, but with such Tool at hand, all it takes is less 3 minutes to fix.
Hope this is helpful

Yes, problem continues. (ROM reflash). I don't thinks GAPPS reflash will work, my ROM came with every basic Google apps, except Maps.
Unfortunately not working. Saw my paid apps once (none of the free ones) and then disappeared again...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Works and my 50 downloaded apps reappears for a few minutes and disappears again to become 8. It works if the last app downloaded must not be moved to sd card. Try and download a small app without moving to sd card. I suspect there's a bug that messes up the pointers and the last download must not move to sd card and it acts as a stopper and displays the complete list.
That's why it seems to be random, sometimes works sometimes not because it depends on the last downloaded app.
In my case both v2 and v3 markets were fixed by killing and clearing cache of Market and Google Services Framework. Restarted phone after that, of course.
Clearing Market and Google Services Framework fixed mine for about 10 minutes. I'm wondering now (after loading a new ROM yesterday) if this is connected to the Chrome To Phone issue I had to fix? In that case, it appears that your Google account stores each ROM you install/activate, and over a certain number it won't connect C2P any more - had to restore an old copy of the C2P data, disconnect it, then uninstall/reinstall fresh so it could put a new entry in whatever data structure stores this. This could explain why restoring backups with TiB blows your connection - and the Market Doctor in TiB doesn't work because there's no "room" for the connection between the new load and the market. And why uninstall/reinstall of apps works sometimes. For people on stock, could be just a glitch or because they've had multiple devices (one thing I don't think I ever saw get asked in the empty MyApps threads).
Just had this happen on ICS 4.0.3 on my NS4G. ICS had fixed this issue for me now its back. FUUU-----------!!!!!
Thank you very much!

Open Device Manager, or ODM, is a fully free, open source, end-to-end encrypted alternative to Google's Android Device Manager that can be installed in right around 10 seconds. Building on the look and feel of the original ADM, ODM focuses on supporting additional features while giving users the security and privacy of a self-hosted, open source platform.
ODM was created because of the lack of fully open source and secure device managers on the market. While there are solutions that offer open source web components, the Android Applications are not, and are known to use Google Analytics or ad networks that pull information such as IP address, all of which eliminate 100% privacy. ODM overcomes this by offering everything up for grabs on github. We will also be submitting the github repository to F-Droid, an alternative App Store that compiles open source applications directly from github, so you know you're getting a safe APK.
Features include:
Open source web interface
Open source Android Application
All notifications/commands sent through Google are encrypted first
Full AJAX interface
10 second server install
Multi-user support
Multi-device per user support
Last and previous locations
Google maps integration
Lock device
Take photos with rear and front cameras
Alert ringer to locate the phone
Receive an SMS to identify insertion of new SIM
Send a custom notification
Wipe device
Log of all previous activity

10 Second Installation
Installation is simple and straightforward. Use the below or watch the video embedded above.
Extract the web archive to any folder on a system running PHP.
Edit include/config.php to turn on registrations (and change any other settings you would like): $ALLOW_REGISTRATIONS = true
Open mysql: mysql
Create the database: create database odm;
Exit mysql: exit;
Import database structure: mysql odm < sql/odm.sql
Please pose any questions or discussion to the thread at: <TBD>
Configuration
The following variables can be edited in config.php.
Sets the database connection information:
$DB_HOST = "localhost";
$DB_USER = "root";
$DB_PASSWORD = "";
$DB_DATABASE = "odm";
Whether or not to allow user registration. This must be true to create the first user, but can be disabled after that for security.
$ALLOW_REGISTRATIONS = false;

That's what it says on your website. Unfortunately, this tools doesn't seem to be ready for the non-freak geeks (yet). Hoping for a simplified installation. Can anyone who tested it already tell me the advantages (excpet being open source) over avast? Thanks for creating this, @Fmstrat! Following your project now.
Hi. Are you using GCM (Google Cloud Messaging)?
I'm running Cyanogenmod without any gapps installed and I was wondering if this would work considering it's self hosted (which is great by the way).
Thanks.

You have to remove it as a device administrator first in your security settings.
Fixed my last problems by installing php5-mcrypt
I currently have got to the point of having the website loaded and saying no devices registered also I have no Google Maps in the backgound which will be a problem with location.
On my phone I put in the settings but now everytime I try opening the app after a second it closes and I just get a message "Unfortunately, Open Device Manager has stopped." I'm running a Galaxy S II with Omnirom based on Android 4.4.2
The youtube video is not working.
There's a possibility to integrate app in the rom like Cerebrus? Maybe in a future?
I have an s4.
I have installed it on my webserver and all is ok execpt 3 thigs:
1) I can't see google maps!
2) when i try to take a photo (front or rear) the apk on phone crashes
3) to access to site i have to rename .htaccess to htaccess.txt (no a big problem..)
Any idea?
Sorry buddy, but your app instantly FC upon load.
The website part was pretty simple and easy to setup, good job.
Maybe there´s a fix for apk ?
I finally have it mostly working. Here are some of my notes on fixing problems I had.
Using a Ubuntu server with the web server initially installed for mythweb
In order to register I had to install php5-mcrypt
In order to actually use any commands I had to install php5-curl
Google Maps only works on Chrome not Firefox (I prefer Firefox and only used Chrome as a test)
The settings on the Android app are very touchy anything wrong and the app just force closes. (Contrary to the video I had to leave ssl on for it to work for me) Note to fix you have to remove the app as a device admin then clear data to restart since it FC's to fast to edit the settings.
Now for the problems that I have left
When trying to locate I see my phone indicates in the notification bar that it's finding the location but the website never actually gives me the location
Taking pictures receives a black 1 inch tall strip not a proper picture (looks like it's just truncated pictures since the top of the area just happened to be black)
The installation on the website was pretty simple and easy. I did that in a few minutes. However, the app force closes on my Xperia U running stock Jely Bean 4.1.2 as soon as I tap the register button on the app!
Any fix?
The app would be great if we can get it to work on most devices!

Facebook Chat Enabler Reborn
Notice: this project has been deprecated.
Hi guys,
as you know the famous Facebook Chat Re-Enabler (old thread's OP available below) stopped working when Facebook updated their app to the v28, now after many hours spent finding a solution in the previous months I'm proud to present this new solution!
I state that personally I don't want to be forced to install an app (which I hate for many reasons) only to use Facebook chat or send/receive its messages.
Some disadvantages of Facebook+Messenger installed at same time:
Increased battery drain: main thread+background ones for services and receivers are always active
Increased load on general resources (like CPU and RAM memory) for the reasons mentioned above
You're forced to install another app to chat while you could safely use an unique (Facebook app)
Advantages of Facebook+Facebook Chat Enabler:
Never executed by the operating system, meaning no more battery drain and no resource eating at all (Facebook app itself drains battery)
Chat and send/receive messages in main Facebook app without Messenger
Download
Since Reborn version's release I will not share Enabler's apks anymore (and you're not allowed to), but a simple app which allows you to download and install suggested Chat Enabler version for the Facebook app found on your device, called Facebook Chat Enabler Helper:
Features:
Easy to use, just two buttons
Facebook Chat Re-Enabler for Facebook app until v27
Facebook Chat Enabler Reborn for Facebook app starting from v28
Override mode to let the user choose what version wants
Support text and little how-to for the user
No extra permissions required:
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE is required to determine if the device has an Internet connection available
android.permission.INTERNET is required to download and let you install chosen or suggested Chat Enabler version between Re-Enabler and Reborn
android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is required to write in memory the Chat Enabled package which is being downloaded
Root not required
Note for Reborn: it is a modified Messenger package, for several reasons its manifest can't be edited so I had to keep it untouched. Originally requires many permissions which are not used at all by Chat Enabler's modified package, therefore completely safe. I'm not going to track you, your wife or your friends
APK file: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347841072
APK file (mirror): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9vx6LFBl4vQNHBlNGFSMEk0NHc
Issue report: http://goo.gl/forms/hYglu5VrcM
Warning: In case of devices which have Messenger installed out of the box and not user-uninstallable, Facebook Chat Enabler Helper can't uninstall it. This is the limitation of having Messenger in /system partition, therefore root is required to get rid of it. Do not blame me or my work for this, neither report it in the issue report. It's not my fault!
Instead, follow this:
Search for root methods available for your device and root it
Install Titanium Backup, open it and search for Messenger, then uninstall
Install my app from the links above
Old thread's OP:
**********DEPRECATED**********
Facebook Chat Re-Enabler
Update 29 August: I made a new Facebook Chat Enabler for versions starting from v28 (tested until v44 for now), and finished today to develop and test the Installer which is an user-friendly app to fastly & easily download and install Chat Enabler depending on what Facebook app version is installed on the device. Also features an "Override mode" to choose yourself which Chat Enabler version you want.
Public release scheduled for Sunday 30 August, stay tuned!
Update 5 May: seems that on some devices/ROMs this works even in new Facebook versions. If in your case works, please report in this thread.
Notice: Starting from Facebook v28 this app doesn't work anymore! Please rollback to v27 if you don't want to install the naughty Messenger, until I don't find a solution
Rollback to Facebook v27 how-to:
Uninstall currently installed Facebook
Download v27 according to your Android version (check in Settings->About device->Android version):
Here from Android 2.3 to 3.2
Here from Android 4.0 to 4.4.4
Here from Android 5.0 to 5.1
Install downloaded APK file
Install Facebook Chat Re-Enabler if it's not installed
Chat again without Messenger
For who already has a Facebook version before v28 just install Facebook Chat Re-Enabler
Hello guys. As most of you know, chat in Facebook app doesn't work anymore and now you need to install Messenger app. At the moment is not the same for all the countries, as far as I know they are slowly migrating chat from app to Messenger only.
I made this simple app to enable chat again in main Facebook app without installing Messenger.
Root is not needed and works between Android 2.3 and 5.1, on any device that supports Facebook app.
Disadvantages of Facebook+Messenger installed at same time: HUGE battery drain and RAM consumption, device may slow down etc. (especially low-end devices)
Advantages of Facebook Chat Enabler: It's only an enabler and is never executed by the system, meaning no battery drain/RAM consumption/resource eating at all. (Facebook app itself drains battery)
If you have Messenger installed, uninstall it before installing my apk. After installation you don't need to do anything else, no icon is showed in menu and chat will magically work!
Confirmed working on following Facebook versions:
Any 27.x.x.x.x
Any 26.x.x.x.x
Any 25.x.x.x.x
Any 24.x.x.x.x
Any 23.x.x.x.x
Any 22.x.x.x.x
Any 21.x.x.x.x
Any 20.x.x.x.x+any version before
New updates in future may break this (and to use again Chat Enabler you'll have to install last confirmed working version)
Download new version (26.9KB size + new app name & icon!): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=21048
Old version: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001608389
For devices that have Messenger out of the box, without possibility to uninstall it:
A - root required
Install Root Browser
Navigate to preload (might be here in case of Samsung device) or system/app and search for apk file with Messenger icon
Long press on it and choose "delete", give superuser permission
Download my apk and install it

+1 Can you make work with FB v21.0.023.12. Thanks
Here, latest Facebook version available on Play Store it's 20.0.0.25.15.
May happen that if they remove chat things in a newer version and you update, this app stops to work. Don't update to be sure that doesn't happen
im currently using the official build and i can do chatting even if i dont have a messenger. i didnt exp. that i cant chat without messenger even from the past

Afraid it doesn't work. On can see l list of messages but then a blank screen when I pick one X then it crashes. Using 23.0.0.0.1
What if you made an xposed module that attached to the Facebook app?

Making an xposed module? Hmm... It's better to have an apk, you can also use ART runtime in this way. And at the moment, is compatible from 2.3 to 5.0
Thanks bro!..It works perfectly on facebook 21.0.0.23.12 version!..
Works! Thanks man! Can add normal emotoicons list?

[GUIDE] VIVO NEX S/A Apps Safe To Uninstall/Disable Without Root

The subject of app/bloatware removal/disabling has been mentioned in a few threads throughout the NEX forum, but, not much to mention as far as advancing the discussion,so,I thought I'd start a thread to centralize the topic.
As w/any mods go,this is one that's fairly harmless, worse case scenario,a factory reset will get you back on track, but, ultimately everyone is responsible for their own phone & what happens to it.
With that out of the way..............
1) Any app that can be easily uninstalled by the "uninstall" button is 100% safe,no harm whatsoever. If you want,d/l an apk extractor tool app to make a copy & store wherever, should you change your mind.
2) Now,most are interested in getting rid of as many of the VIVO system apps as possible w/o crippling wanted functionality. This will be an evolving list,& gradually adding to it,with input from anyone interested,I'll update the list right here.
3) OK,the How-To is right here: https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
4) Now here's what I have so far (see below,I'll edit/add as needed)
Any input regarding adding to the list is encouraged, please only suggest bloatware that you have actually uninstalled yourself & please include any effects on functionality that may have resulted, especially if it affected other apps & their functionality. (question marks below [??/etc...] are in place of Chinese letters/characters)
5) Once again, tried & tested input is highly encouraged & welcome. The list will grow & evolve/be edited on a continuous basis until we all get it figured out. :good:
******** A factory reset will restore all uninstalled apps
******** OTA's shouldn't be affected or affect the status of apps, whether they're installed or uninstalled (unless,of course, you've deleted something pertaining to updates, which won't be listed below)
******** The dates reflect the time of posting/removal,for ease of troubleshooting,in the event something noteworthy gets broken,it gives a good reference where to begin looking for the problem/solution.

I no longer have this phone,soooooo......
I'm looking for someone to take over the thread as the OP,to manage/edit the OP/List as they see fit.
I've already received pre-approval from the Admin/Moderator staff to make this happen,if anyone is interested,P.M. me.............................

Really great job and nice effort that all of Vivo Nex user should participate and share the knowledge and experience of uninstalling Chinese bloatware and optimize and maximize total experience when using their smartphone.
One thing is sure will never get bored as Funtouch OS has unlimited potential of uninstalling bloatware all over the UI

Updated OP with Dates of Removal, to facilitate troubleshooting in the event something of consequence gets broken.
I'm using the latest Windows 10 build where command prompt is replaced with Powershell. Have tried various options on the internet to revert back to command prompt (including going to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and disable the option to use Powershell), but still stuck with Powershell. Any other workarounds ?

Great post - many thanks. I must have uninstalled something I shouldn't have as the swipe up from the middle to get multitasking no longer works !!

Nothing really jumps out from the list in the OP.
1) Are you able to use the nav buttons & get to recents/multi-tasking?
2) Did you uninstall anything that's not on the current list in the OP?
Many thanks for this great thread!
I have received my NEX today and right now am uninstalling stuff. If I get any new to be removed safely I will post here!
Best greetings from Austria!

Thanks for the reply. I made sure that I only uninstalled items that were indicated safe in your post and some from the post by WhySoSeriousJoKer. I certainly have not uninstalled 'com.vivo.upslide' which was flagged as disabling navigation gestures.
All the other gestures work fine, it's only the swipe up from the middle to bring up the open apps !

Yeah, I wouldn't have uninstalled that one either.
For troubleshooting purposes, can you try out using the navigation buttons, see if you can access recents/multitasking?
Also, which software version were/are you on when you lost the multitasking function?
It probably doesn't matter, but, any information for troubleshooting purposes is always a good thing...

You show com.vivo.browser as one of the apps that can be removed. When I send Location Sharing from Google Maps to a contact via messenger, the link opens up using the vivo Browser app. Can this be defaulted to another app before that browser is removed?

Here's the choices of sharing that pop-up,with the apps removed (on 7/7/18) :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
If I tap "Select People",my Google contacts appear & I get a link to direct share & it selects my default texting app (Textra,FWIW).
EDIT: @Saloei
As for if the default can be selected before the VIVO Browser is removed,I don't know,TBH,this is the 1st time I've ever used Location Sharing,LOL.
Can you send yourself a Location Sharing link selecting MESSENGER and then add your phone number as the receiver to see if it'll work with no VIVO BROWSER app installed?

If you're speaking about Facebook Messenger, I don't use Facebook, but I was able to share the link with Textra, my default messaging app. I shared it to myself on the same phone, using both SIM Cards & using the same SIM Card as sender & receiver.
Also sent my location to another phone I have via Textra with no problem whatsoever.
Perhaps someone here who has already deleted the VIVO Browser & uses Facebook can verify it'll work.
My guess is that it will, but, I can understand if you're hesitant, most don't want to have to start over via factory reset if, in the unlikelyhood, it doesn't work.....
