[SOLUTIONS ✔ STEP-BY-STEP] "My Installed Apps" missing in Google Play Store [17 MAR]
Are you an app-freak? over hundreds of apps installed and 20 Google Play Store updates per week?
Whether your answer is yes or no, you will have to know this, or it will be too late when you really face the problem.
"One day, I encountered a kernel panic when I was downloading apps, after a reboot all apps in "my apps" are gone. wtf."
"AMFG HELP I NEED TO UPDATE MY APPS I CANNOT LOSE THEM HELL IM FREAKED OUT I DUN WANNA USE AMAZON OR APPBRAIN! I WANT ANDROID MARKET"
"I lost my data/wifi connection when I was updating 30 apps at once, those apps which needs update, gone, but the others remain."
"'Process system not working.' when an app is installing, market force close, all app links gone, omg rescue me."

No problem, you are at the right place.
What we usually do when we encounter it
Yeah you may press on them for real results
No worries, here we go.
This is not a significant or top-prioritised system error.
We don't ask our devs to help us, as this is not their job.
But this **** is really annoying,
and Google ignores us.
We love our apps,
and we really want their update notifications normally.
So we investigate into it and try it ourselves.
We start from the easiest method, to the longest ones.

I do not guarantee that your Android Market will be fixed.
But according to my experiences and my deep research over the internet,
I think they will mostly fix the “My Apps” section for you! :D

Your warranty will be void if you use methods with ROOT.
Yes of course there are some without the need of root! ;)
If you see this icon beside the title of the method, that means the method requires ROOT.
If not, then root is not required and you are good to go with any phone!

WARNING
Eris Market Fix
is working on most Android 2.1 devices.
is working on some Android 2.2 devices.
is working on a few Android 2.3.0 to 2.3.3 devices.
will **** up your phone if you are newer than Android 2.3.3.
As the app developer said, use at your own risk while you are not using on an Eris.
And for me, I do not recommend using this app, on your super new Android versions.

*Recommended Market versions are for reference.
They are categorized based on my experiences and knowledge.
You may also try the methods of the alternate recommended Market versions.
There will be no harm at all as long as I don’t make a warning.

The Basics
The Basics
Android Market Versions
User Temasek is one of my friend which is very advanced in Android and he got a lot of resources.
(Also in his signature,) His MediaFire Share Folder includes:
The newest Android Market apk [in 'Android Market' folder]
The newest newest GAPPS flashable zip (including newest market) [in 'Unofficial GAPPS' folder]
FAQ: Yes you may use the newest "For Android 2.3.X only" as long as you are using any version of Gingerbread.
The old Android Market apks [in 'Android Market' > 'Old Android Markets' folder)
I recommend 2.3.6 as it is the latest old market with the least amount of bugs.
How to open application management screen
Don't laugh, some of the new Android users really don't know about this.
Please make sure if your market version is the one with the ROM (not updated automatically or manually after ROM flash), it will only appear in the "ALL" tab.
App - Titanium Backup for Android
It refers to its Market Page and its Official Site.
Pro version gives the freezing option.
Freezing the Market Updater
Freeze the system app "Market Updater 1.0", if you are downgrading from Market 3.X.X to 2.3.X
or this app will auto download Market 3.X.X and upgrade it without your permission.
If you do not have Titanium Backup Pro, try uninstalling it with Root Uninstaller.
No worries, Market Updater will be back when you flash your ROM/GAPPS again.
Android Market Content Filtering
I am not sure whether this is affecting the issue, but for me, I always put all of them on to prevent Google from hiding any apps for me
Google Accounts in Android Market
I know this is quite a common "solution",
But still, make sure you have chosen the correct Google Account for your Market!!

The Android Market version 2.3.X
The Android Market version 2.3.X
(2.3.6 is recommended)
1. Simple Clearing
1) Go to the application management screen of "Market".
2) Force stop it.
3) Clear cache.
4) Clear data.
5) Open Market, open "My Apps" list and check whether all your apps are there.
If this doesn’t help, try performing a reboot between steps 4 and 5!
2. Random App Installation
When you encounter your "error" (kernel panic, connection lost, market force close, etc.)
you may have not install/uninstall any app on your phone because you focused on the market problem.
From others & my experiences, installing an app will cause Android Market to refresh the "My Apps" list.
1) Force stop Market.
2) Clear cache.
3) Open Market, do NOT open "My Apps" list.
4) Install a random app. (it doesn't matter which, but light ones are recommended so it saves time and data)
5) Open "My Apps" list, check whether all your apps are there.
3. Random App Re-installation
It is similar to Method 2, but in a slightly different way
As it causes the Market to refresh the list for 2 times - app uninstallation and app installation
it is still worth a try.
1) Force stop Market.
2) Clear cache.
3) Open Market, do NOT open "My Apps" list.
4) Uninstall a random app. (Choose those which does not store important app data on your phone as uninstalling it will wipe all the data of that app)
I recommend: Google Voice Search / Google Goggles / Stopwatch apps / Benchmark apps / Calculator apps... you know what I mean
5) Force stop Market. (no need to clear cache)
6) Open Market, do NOT open "My Apps" list.
7) Install any app. (You can install the uninstalled one if you want it back)
8) Open "My Apps" list, check whether all your apps are there.

The Google Play Store version 3.X.X
The Google Play Store version 3.X.X
(latest version is recommended)
4. Market Doctor from Titanium Backup
I forgot whether this is a PRO only function or not,
but just try it IF:
- You have backed up ALL your apps (versions can be ignored) BEFORE the "error" (kernel panic, connection lost, etc) occured.
- You installed the latest version of Titanium Backup to perform Market Doctor.
It sometimes helps, but if it doesn't, don't worry, it has very less chance to cause harm.
According to the app developers' announcement in the update on 7 March 2012 (version 4.8.2), Titanium Backup is working with the new Google Play store.
5. Downgrading Google Play Store
As I've tried some of the methods above, Google Play Store version 3.X.X is harder to be fixed!
If you can accept the older look of 2.3.X (its faster though ), you may choose to downgrade your Google Play and try the methods above.
If Google Play Store / GAPPS with your ROM is 2.3.X and was auto updated by Market Updater or manually by yourself with an apk:
1) Press "Uninstall Updates" beside "Force Stop" (in my screenshot, the "Cancel" button)
Sorry my ROM is with the newest Google Play Store so there isnt an option like this but you will have it.
2) Freeze/remove "Market Updater 1.0". (Refer to The Basics above)
(Optional) Check whether if it downgrades your Market to an excessively old version (i.e. 2.3.3). If so, you may choose to manually upgrade to 2.3.6. (Refer to The Basics above)
3) Follow the instructions in the above section (Market version 2.3.X).
If Google Play Store / GAPPS with your ROM is 3.X.X and you also do not have the "uninstall updates" button:
1) Download the older version (2.3.6) of Market from The Basics above
2) With Root Explorer (There are free alternatives, if you can't find them on Market, try Software Development Section in XDA Android Forum)
3) Rename the Market apk to "Vending.apk"
4) Mount R/W in /system/app
5) Copy and Paste the downloaded "Vending.apk" into /system/app. Yes, replace the original one with the ROM.
6) Do not forget to freeze/remove "Market Updater 1.0"
7) Follow the instructions in the above section (Market version 2.3.X).
Finally I'm proud to announce...
6. The Ultimate Framework Wipe
Lol the name sounds scary but actually no danger at all!
This was the most lately discovered by me, and for me it is working on both versions!
How about you?
This is gonna be a bit longer, read and follow carefully.
1) Go to the application management screen of "Google Play Store".
2) Clear cache of "Google Play Store".
3) Force stop "Google Play Store".
DO NOT CLEAR DATA OF "Google Play Store".
4) Go to the application management screen of "Google Services Framework".
5) Clear data of "Google Services Framework".
6) Confirm it.
7) LONG PRESS POWER MENU AND REBOOT RIGHT NOW. ON THIS SCREEN.
8) Open Google Play Store, open "My Apps" list and check whether all your apps are there.

Just download this App Market Fixer by Kstudio from Android Market.
Use it to scan for offending Apps, Note that it requires active data connection. What it basically does is compare your Apps database with the online Android Market Database and then single out the offending Apps. Presently, the only solution it offers is to uninstall the Apps from your Phone which for me is unacceptable because most of them are Samsung Core System Apps like Videos, Galllery etc, you don't wanna lose your System Apps.
When the scan finish just take note of the offending Apps, it would help to write them down. Do not use their Fix tool because it will delete the Apps from your Phone or if you use REMOVE MARKET LINKS ONLY those Apps will give you FORCE CLOSE afterwards. The best option is go to Titanium Backup --> Batch --> Detach User & System Apps from Market --> Deselect all --> NOW SELECT ONLY THE OFFENDING APPS --> Run the Batch Operation --> Reboot.
After this go back to Android Market and all your Apps will be there. If It didn't work the first time, redo the whole process, maybe you missed one App.
This has 99.9% success and I believe it will work for you.
ADDITION
For those of us that Schedule Backups with TB, you have to do some tweaks to your Preferences if not; after such backups, the whole problem will come back again. This is all you have to do:
Go to Preferences --> Deselect MARKET LINK (When backing up an app, save its Market Link. Requires SQlite).
Be aware that this might happen again if you upgrade ROM or restore whole system with TB Backup, but with such Tool at hand, all it takes is less 3 minutes to fix.
Hope this is helpful

Yes, problem continues. (ROM reflash). I don't thinks GAPPS reflash will work, my ROM came with every basic Google apps, except Maps.

Unfortunately not working. Saw my paid apps once (none of the free ones) and then disappeared again...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk

Works and my 50 downloaded apps reappears for a few minutes and disappears again to become 8. It works if the last app downloaded must not be moved to sd card. Try and download a small app without moving to sd card. I suspect there's a bug that messes up the pointers and the last download must not move to sd card and it acts as a stopper and displays the complete list.
That's why it seems to be random, sometimes works sometimes not because it depends on the last downloaded app.

In my case both v2 and v3 markets were fixed by killing and clearing cache of Market and Google Services Framework. Restarted phone after that, of course.

Clearing Market and Google Services Framework fixed mine for about 10 minutes. I'm wondering now (after loading a new ROM yesterday) if this is connected to the Chrome To Phone issue I had to fix? In that case, it appears that your Google account stores each ROM you install/activate, and over a certain number it won't connect C2P any more - had to restore an old copy of the C2P data, disconnect it, then uninstall/reinstall fresh so it could put a new entry in whatever data structure stores this. This could explain why restoring backups with TiB blows your connection - and the Market Doctor in TiB doesn't work because there's no "room" for the connection between the new load and the market. And why uninstall/reinstall of apps works sometimes. For people on stock, could be just a glitch or because they've had multiple devices (one thing I don't think I ever saw get asked in the empty MyApps threads).

Just had this happen on ICS 4.0.3 on my NS4G. ICS had fixed this issue for me now its back. FUUU-----------!!!!!

Thank you very much!

android market won't show my purchased installed apps

a few days ago I was using Titanium Backup to unlink my apps from the android market that I had gotten from other markets so that the market would stop trying to install updates for those apps and when I did this I looked at MY APPS in the market it is now only showing a 2 boxes. 1 reads browse apps and the other browse games. It also says apps and games owned by this account will appear here. Iv'e tried using the market Dr. on TB but it won't fix it. I also tried to force close the market and wiping the data and uninstalling any market updates. I'm hoping I don't have to reset the phone completely. I've also tried fixing the permissions and rebooting into recovery. Any help would be much appreciated. Samsung Galaxy s 4g
I had this issue once before. I fixed it by logging on to market.android.com and when I did I noticed that my apps were missing from there to. I then logged off of the website and then back on and like magic all of my apps were back. I wont garuntee this as a fix but it did work for me

Thank you! I'll not sure exactly what I did that fixed it, but somewhere between using Market Fixer and uninstall/re-installing some apps it working again.
Note to self: stop playing with Market Doctor in TB for no good reason.
Hi
Excuse me for being somehow off topic, I'd want the opposite.
I have a few apps (Youtube & windows theme for Go launcher for example) that I hate their updates and I'd like them to not appear on market update list.
If someond knows how to do this, please PM or send a link.
I searched and couldn't find anything. 10x.

[FIX] Android Market "My Apps"

Missing apps in your market app?
Try this! It worked for me. Been through a few reboots already and it's still working.
All credit goes to user darkstarsinner from Rootzwiki!
Go to rootzwiki...com then /topic/14596-fix-android-market-my-apps/
So right up front I would like to point out that this may not work for everybody. But I know it has worked for me.
If your Android Market "My Apps" section is always blank it would appear that it is actually a database issue. If you are rooted this is easy enough to fix.
A couple of things you will need:
JRUMMY's ROM TOOLBOX (note: this is a paid app, please support our devs)
Root Explorer (You may use another explorer however I have noted that not all will show what the files and/or file contents)
Step 1: Open ROM TOOLBOX and go to "BATCH" by going to "APP MANAGER" then clicking your softkey menu button and selecting "BATCH"
Step 2: Slide back one page to reach the "MARKET LINK" page
Step 3: Remove all market links
Step 4: Reboot your phone
Step 5: Open ROOT EXPLORER and find your way to "/data/data/com.android.vending/databases"
Step 6: Delete the "market_assets.db"
Step 7: Reboot your phone
Step 8: Once Phone is booted return to the "MARKET LINKS" page we used to delete all link in ROM TOOLBOX
Step 9: Click "LINK USER APPS" EDIT: I have found that linking ALL system apps may put you back into the same issue. Until we can figure out what system apps cause this only link the ones you see in your app drawer!!
Step 10: Reboot again for safe measure
Step 11: Some report that you should download a free app then uninstall it. You can if you want to but I didn't.
Step 12: Open your Market and go to "MY APPS"
Your Apps should all be there. If not run it again. What have you got to lose?
I hope this helps you all. I currently have use of "MY APPS" and all of my updatable Apps within!!!

I've had this problem for almost two months. I have tried ALL of the different fixes that people have suggested. Deleting things, using Appbrain, install/uninstall Blackmarket, adding links, breaking links.
For a long time I was sure it was linked to the ROM I was using. The last few Hyperdroid ROMs have been missing CSC folder, and possibly it was linked to this.
For a long time I had a Nandriod backup of Hyperdroid V3 where 'my apps' worked, and after testing the latest release from the Hyperdroid team I would go back to my 'working' image.
Recently I downloaded a pirated version of Navigon, and since then 'my apps' has failed to work on any version or image I run, even the (V3 Hyperdroid) one that was working before.
So sadly I must conclude that the missing myapps is NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR PHONE, and everything to do with the google servers. Once you have been 'blacklisted' it is impossible to restore that part of the market process. I still don't see what relevance it has, as it doesn't stop you from buying apps, and if you search your app you can still update it. So a pointless problem from the Google team, of course, why didn't I think of that earlier.
Update: After logging in to a 'vanilla' SG2 straight out of a shop, and using the Market on a clean phone, I can now log into my Hyperdroid rom and see my apps.
So not phone related, but loggiing in from a 'clean' phone resets the error.
SOLVED!!!
I put together a small app aiming to solve this problem. It works on my Atrix and I think same fix *should* work for Atrix 2. Can anyone who has this problrm try the app for me and see if it fixes the problem?

Awesome! I'll give it a shot and report back.

Works! Thanks! Great job dude!
So what is it about the com.motorola.contacts... app that causes the problem?
Sent from my MB865 using xda premium
It works
I am running the Droid X with CM7 and lost the "My Apps" section in the market, too. As like so many out there to no avail were the other fixes, but this one has been successful so far without having to redo it again and again. I don't have to limit to 98 apps or use App Brain for updates. I did however have to clear the market data after I ran the the market fixer and things have been fine since. I was also able to reinstall the 29 applications identified as the problem and have had no further problems. Thank you K Lee you have been a God send. This seems like such a small thing but major. Can't thank you enough.

[App] SwitchMe secure login manager needs Tab testers please!

Hi everyone. Im one of the developers of SwitchMe, and app that allows multiple secure logins into separate installations of android on a single device. The pr is after the break.
I really need a few people to check into some issues people on the original Tab have been experiencing. There are some warnings involved:

account and log into a fresh installation of Android or another account with its own unique content.
You may create as many profiles as the memory is capable of holding. Some of these may require very little free memory because they contain few apps,
others will be larger as they contain many applications and lots of cache and data.
Why is this functionality useful?
Privacy - the most obvious benefit is that you can securely share one device among multiple users, which gives you privacy and peace of mind.
Testing - if you are a developer, you can use profiles as clean sandboxes to test your applications and their interaction with the system.
Gaming – with multiple installations of Android on a single device, you can now play online MMOs as different characters.
Speed - the games your kids play slow down your tablet, but with SwitchMe you can easily create profiles without games or instant messengers.
Battery life - when the battery is low but there are important emails or documents to edit later, switch to a profile which only contains these essentials.
These of course are only suggestions - there are plenty of other uses for the functionality SwitchMe offers.

The Lite version allows the creation of two profiles, enough to test on.
Screens:
SwitchMe 1.2 has been rolled out and now includes a lockscreen replacement:
1.2
Added lock screen for logging in and out
More stable Fast switch implementation
Reworked UI colors
Now, its very important that we get some feedback on how this big new feature works, so please read up on it in the help and post your thoughts!
1.2.2 - HOTFIX 2
Reworked widget on qHD+ displays
Fixed widget text on HC and ICS
Fast switch improved on older devices
So guys any comments?
There is no way this app affects recovery whatever youre doing wrong its a user error.

Sorry Man, but I haven't installed Superuser, as the ROM was prebuilt with Superuser and CWM, and was working fine since SwitchMe... ^^
No access to the Market as, AGAIN, no Google apps at all, and so no Market !
I just created the profiles as instructed BUT this apps did NOT copied the Samsung ROM correctly... Don't know what happens with Recovery ???
I've spent the whole night to find out a way to flash back my backup.
This is my report and I can't change it and since this is your first report with this device, I guess ???.
Then telling this is a user error, please explain what was my error except being your first beta tester with your app on this device ???

I cant explain anything to you because your description of the issue makes no sense - all i can say is that its not possible for this app to modify the recovery partition. Its physically impossible.
The lack of gapps is probably because they were bot installed in /system. Same with superuser. Check your rom for more info.
Any issues to report?
Not working on Galaxy tab GT-P1000
Hi,
Exact same problem as Arobase40.
I Installed Switchme, added 2 accounts (one for actual user and a new user). Then rebooted. No more market (and google apps) nor SuperUser. SwitchMe and Cwm complain I didn't give root permission.
Is there a solution or do I have to flash rom with Odin ?

That means there are symlinks to the /system or /data folders where the gapps and superuser are stored. That is the problem - the app does not and will never support these links.
Any issues with the new build?
No... I'm not willing to take into account individuals. I work with the lowest common denominator. Dont like it? Don't use it. Frankly, arguing with a dv really isn't going tointuce him to help you...

Fixed Superuser footprint issue on some ICS tablets
Lots of small issues on the new x86 and MIPS architectures fixed as well
Yes, obviously. But the actual word is trolls - opinionated and easily offended, these creatures can often be found lurking in forums doing nothing much at all other than flaming others and bottom feeding.
A lot of them are in my GIANT ignore list. So long.

Does that mean all SGT P-1000 will have the same problem? I have no problem losing gapps, I can always download it from goo manager. I'm afraid I would lose superuser/root access like they did.
Will it work on ICS CM-9mod (MTD)?
It would be a killer app if this can work.
No of course not. It applies only to roms with symlinks.
Well I just moved from CM9 to AOKP and because I am not a dev, I wouldn't know if they use any symlinks or not when they make their custom ROM.
But I decided to go ahead install ur app and see if it will work. We'll find out soon.
Here goes nothing. I hope it will work.

Hey! So far it works! That means:
1. This apps works for SGT-P1000 with CM9 Rom, as well as AOKP rom
2. both AOKP and CM9 builds do not have symlink.
Here are the test cases I did
(You asked us to test just the compatibilityto P1000 not the functionality)
preps:
1. downloaded SwithMe from Google play. App automatically installed
2. Backed up everything in titanium backup
3. Reboot to Recovery and did nandroid backup
TC1. Startup SwitchMe app Result: App startup, displaying 2 warnings.
Warning 1. Preparation warning. 2. Apps on Sdcard warning
TC2. - Move allapps on SDcard back to internal sdcard, restart SwitchMe app
result: 1warning displayed.
- Confirm warning
result: Superuser asks for confirmation for access
- Confirm superuser access Result: App goes to empty page with "Add profile" button.
TC3 Create 2 profilea
Result: Both created.
TC4. Activate Profile, reboot.
Result: Tablet rebooted and started normally
TC5. Activate profile 2, Reboot
Result1: Tablet rebooted and started as a new untouched rom,
prompting user to initial wizard.
Result2: SwitchMe app available, while other user apps are not available.
Result3: gapps are still available.
I hope this helps.
Thank you. A pleasure to see someone actually help us out!
My pleasure.
Pointers for users:
1. Using different google accounts for different profiles will prevent you from downloading app from playstore (error message).
2. Do not select google backup when setting up second profile. If you select google backup, it will automatically install missing apps from google market, therefore you will have an exact clone with your main profile at the end.
Once you get used to it, it is a nice app to have.

COMPLETELY 'GOOGLE-IZE' YOUR AMAZON FIRE TAB (Confirmed Working)

Hello there folks, my name is James Hamilton, and I am from Trinidad and Tobago. I have been the owner of an Amazon Fire Tab HD8 (5th Generation) for the past year and a half, and many times I used to be pissed off with the fact that my 'Tablet' did have the Google Play Store, and apps like Facebook and Twitter never updated to the most recent one because of Amazon's backward behavior.
It wasn't until I stumbled across a video on YouTube that allows you to operate your Fire without the use of an Amazon account. Not only did this save you from the restrictions of having to go to Amazon's Appstore, but it disabled the ads on your lock screen too! So, with these experimental hands of mine, a wild imagination and much tinkering around, I managed to get my Amazon Fire Tab to look and act like a normal Android Tablet, and if I haven't bored you with this (somewhat) lengthy introduction, I'd like to show you how to do the same with yours.
Now, I am a nice person, and I would have liked to post links with these little goodies, but seeing that I am new to the page, I can't post external links... SMH!
DISCLAIMER:
I have tried this on my own, and it did work. If, however, you manage to corrupt your device, or something happens, causing it to go loco, I will not be held responsible for any damages caused.
Now that that's out of the way, let's 'Google-ize' your Amazon Fire Tablet.
THINGS YOU WILL NEED.
. Of course, your fully charged Amazon Fire Tab. (Could be any one from any generation...)
. A back up copy of your data on your Fire tab. (You will need this!)
. A fully functional WiFi network.
. Google Installer (apk file) on your memory card. This will download and install the latest version of Google Apps for your device.
Get it here...
---- You can also use RootJunky's Supertool to install the Google Play Store, but I will be using the Google Installer.
. Launcher Hijack (apk file) on your memory card.
. Google Now Launcher (apk file). This is optional, in the sense that you can download it from the Google Play Store after. Your choice!
Get it here...
Now let's do this!
STEP 1: FACTORY RESET YOUR FIRE TAB.
You can either do a hard or a soft reset on your tab. The following video gives a full demonstration on how to successfully reset your tab...
This is also the reason why a back up of your data is required, because, by doing this, you will be kissing your personal accounts and data... GOODBYE!!!
Note: Your Fire Tab will take a pretty long while before it starts back up, so please, be patient with this!
STEP 2: LOG INTO THE TAB WITHOUT AN AMAZON ACCOUNT.
By doing this, you'll be disabling system offers and killing (most of) Amazon's functionality on this tablet to the core. This here requires special attention and detail. You may have to go into a wifi network, and come back out to get that 'NOT NOW' option, but whatever you do, DO NOT SIGN INTO A WIFI NETWORK, or else you may have to start over from step 1. The following YouTube video gives a demo on how to do this successfully.
STEP 3: SET YOUR FIRE TO INSTALL REQUIRED APPS.
Go to 'Settings', then into 'Security'. Tap on the 'Apps from Unknown Sources' option, tap OK on the pop-up window, and you're all set to install exterior apps.
STEP 4: INSTALLING GOOGLE APPS.
NOW, you can sign into your WiFi Network... (You know you wanted to... lol)
Using the Silk Browser, download the ES File Explorer .apk file, and install it as soon as it is downloaded. If you don't install it immediately after it's downloaded, it'll be impossible to find it, and you may have to do it again, so, let's do it correctly the first time.
After installing the ES File Explorer, at this point, you have many options. You can use the above step to install the Google installer, or you can use the ES File explorer to install it if you had it pre-downloaded to your memory card.
After you installed Google Installer, run it, tap on 'Install', and it will download and install the latest versions of Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, Google Account Manager, Google Play Service, and the Google Calendar Synchronization Service.
If you prefer to use RootJunky's Supertool, a PC and a data cable will be required to follow this option though....
STEP 5: MAKING GOOGLE NOW YOUR DEFAULT LAUNCHER
Using your available options now (Silk Browser or ES File Explorer), you can use either options to install Launcher Hijack. This will override the Fire Launcher, and give you the many available options of customizing the home screen of your Fire.
After installing Launcher Hijack, it's best to install Google Now Launcher. Now you have 3 options in which to install this. Via a browser of your choice (Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Silk, because the Play Store should be installed and running by now), via ES File explorer if you have it pre-downloaded on your memory card, or via the Google Play Store, which, of course, is the easier option.
Open Launcher Hijack, and if Google doesn't show up, click on the three descending dots on the top right hand corner, and select 'Launchers Only.' If it still doesn't, disselect 'Hide System Apps'. It should show up now. When it does, a pop up will appear. Select OK. Next, Go to Settings, go to Accessability, scroll all the way down and tap on 'To detect home button press,' and tap on the switch to turn it on. Now, tap on the home screen, and there you have it, your new Amazon Fire 'Android' Tablet.
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
-You can use any launcher you want, but I prefer the Google Now Launcher because of the ability to install widgets without problems, the file size, and the real stock Android look.
- You may want to install other apps from Google like Gmail, YouTube, Google+, Drive, Photos, Chrome, Contacts, etc. to get a better android user experience.
- All of Amazon's apps will still be there..., TRY TO AVOID THEM! They're the bloatware now! lol
I hope this helps, and if you have any questions, feel free to comment a question, and I will answer. It may not be immediately, but I will answer.
God bless y'all!

Thanks for these instructions. I have a Fire HD 8 and one thing I just can't seem to get working are app notifications...push notifications from apps won't show up no matter what settings I try to do. Permission settings are all set so that apps are allowed to show notifications, but no dice. I even did a factory reset and followed your instructions as above to 'Google-ize' it, but no go. Any ideas?

[Guide] Better Battery Life With Google Apps + MicroG Mixed System

Hi guys, this is my first post about dev-ish stuff. Cause I didn’t something like that. So, lets get started...
As you know Android 10 has huge battery drain because of Google Play Services. Before that, I got nearly %40 of background usage. Then I start searching to fix that issue. I tried Magisk modules, moded apks but non of them work properly for me. Then, I want to use MicroG but I need Google Play Store, Google Contacts, Google Dialer etc. So, I made a mix of this solutions. That is what I did:
Before everything don’t forget that: I’m not responsible of anything that can brick or harm your devices. You can do these steps if your phone has signature spoofing ability.
1)Clean install ROM with GAPPS package. (I strongly recommend to use stock-ish ROMS like Los, Aex, Cr-Droid etc.)
2)Boot your phone, skip setup wizard then reboot to recovery again.
3)Mount /system partition and go Advanced -> File Manager -> System (folder)
4)Look into app, priv-app and /product/app, /product/priv-app folders.
5)Remove these folders: MatchmakerPrebuilt, Turbo, WellbeingPrebuilt, PrebuiltGmsCore, GooglePartnerSetup, Velvet, GoogleServicesFramework, CalendarGooglePrebuilt.
6)Reboot your phone
7)Download latest Nanodroid release from here and extract that with some zip utility. Find these apps: GmsCore, GsfProxy, nlpBackendApple, nlpBackendNominatim. Move these apks to phone and install all of them with the same order. Open MicroG settings and grant all permissions, disable battery optimization. Open Settings -> Apps -> Apple Backend -> Permissions -> Allow GPS always.
8)Now reboot recovery then install Magisk.
9)Open Magisk and install Aurora Module from this link
10)Reboot phone then open Aurora Services. Grant permissions and allow Play store under Whitelist.
11)Now, we need to install F-Droid app (I recommend AuroraDroid), add Nanolx and MicroG repos. Check for updates. If there is an update for MicroG or it’s components, update them.
12)Reboot your phone one last time and open MicroG settings app. Login with your Google account. In Google device registration make the status ON. In Google Cloud Messaging make receive push notifications status ON and click three dot menu on right cornerand enter advanced. Make confirm new apps status to OFF. Go back to MicroG main menu and enter Google safetynet and make it’s status to ON. Last step: Go location modules and make everything ON and configure their settings for your current location.
13)Now clean Google Play Store app cache and data then open it.
14)DONE. Now you can install your apps (premium and free).
Problems:
1.Some apps won’t work like Google Calendar, Grasshopper or Google Keep etc.
2.If you want to use Google Contacts and Dialer with Google Sync, you should install them in first step (with gapps or gapps included rom)
3.If you still can’t see your contacts open settings -> accounts -> google -> Account sync -> make contacts status ON then reboot.
4.If you still can’t see contacts check Google Contacts app. There is couple things can cause that like maybe you didn’t choose your default account or maybe you didn’t select the visible account for MicroG etc.
5. If you want to update your ROM with dirty flash, make sure to delete apps -said in fifth step- THEN reboot. If you don’t do it, you should start all steps from beginning and also your ROM may not boot.
Questions:
1.Why are we installing these apps manually, why don’t we just flash the NanoDroid.zip?
- Because of saving some apps from deletion and make easier to ROM updates with dirty flash.
2.Why don’t you build a zip file for must-remove Google apps?
- Actually, IDK how.. I’m not a programmer or developer or something like that. If someone can make a little bloatware-removal zip, that will be very nice but don’t forget, maybe you can find these apps in different folders in your system. Some ROMs has their unique directory or something like that.
3.Gboard says that it needs GMS, what should I do?
- Nothing, it works like a charm. Just ignore it.
Now, I can use my phone nearly 36h per charge.(Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Exynos) That is a huge change. Try and tell me what do you think. If you got trouble with some steps, write in comments. I’ll try to reply them.
Thanks for:
-Nanolx for Nanodroid Project
-Aurora Team for Aurora Services and AuroraDroid App
-MicroG team for MicroG project
You can buy me a coffe if you want. Just click here and see your options.
Note for mods: If I made something wrong, please tell me. That is my first pre-professional topic. I want to fix my wrong. Thanks...
Frankly, the word-of-mouth stories are useless. If we don't get hard data, no one should follow a random guide on xda.
Thank you for your guide, might be looking in to it.
But even if not it's nice that you get time and energy and I bet some people already used it
