Just got my Moto X 2014, but it seems like it's almost impossible to find a bumper case (without back so I can admire my leather ). Anyone looking to sell their bumper case?
Check Casemate. I got mine about a week ago. I used coupon code rmn15 for 15% off. Came out $15 shipped.
I got the chalk one to match the front of mine. I like it, but the only issue I have is the corners are picking up the dye from my jeans - but it wipes off.
Casemate also sells clear cases so your phone is protected and you can still see the back.

It appears this case has no screen protection, and no way to attach it to your belt...? Is that true, or did I miss something?

Thanks for posting... I've got that exact case and it is an awesome case with one exception: the silicone rubber began to sag on the sides (by volume rockers and power button) after only 2 months of use. Need to replace, but I noticed the $7.99 price is for "REFURBISHED" stock. "Condition: Seller Refurbished - Some items may have slight scratches" Don't want to risk getting someone else's returned unit with sagging sides as my replacement!
I had this case before, personally I hated it. Protection felt minimal since little impact would be absorbed. As the poster above said, the rubber went to crap fairly quick and was wavy down both sides.
The ballistic case I got after is nearly identical in size but features loads more protection. I think rubber corners to soften impacts are a must.

I like it. Just got mine. You can obviously see that's its used, because of the rubber around the edges but looks good either way. For 8 bucks was a bargain.

Anyone know where to purchase the official bumper in the GTA? I would prefer to buy it at a store and not from Google Play as it costs almost 35 dollars with shipping and taxes. Thanks

Hello my fellow Canadian,
I live down in London and was in the same boat as you. Everywhere I went it was either sold out or they didn't have it. Your only chance is to buy it online. You can check out futureshop or best buy, they have it on there for 24.99 with free shipping I think but they only have the black one. Ebay and amazon is another method but don't know about the shopping cost. Www.Puremobile.ca is another site but I think they might be still sold out. You could also check those Wind stands in the mall, I went to one of them before but they were sold out.
I ended up getting my white (they have the black one also) OEM Bumper from www.blueshop.ca. It was Free shipping just had to pay the tax, came in 2 days.
Don't know where other members got their bumper from.
Hope this helps and Happy Hunting .

Thanks my Canadian Friend! Hopefully I can get one at Wind. BTW, what are your experiences with the bumper? Good or bad?
I actually just got it in the mail a couple of days ago, I was using the Rearth Ringke Fusion case for a while and then the Spigen ultra slim one for a bit. So far the bumper is great. There have been various reports that the bumper's aluminum finish that goes around it cracks at the bottom near the USB port. There are various replicas you can get if you don't want to drop 30 bones on the OEM one. The replica bumpers also breaks in the same place. Keep in mind the original OEM one is obviously made From better quality than the replicas. Some people like the replicas more, no idea why. The bumper doesn't give the phone that much bulk and only protects the edges obviously. You can combo the bumper with a dbrand skin and it would look awesome and also provides scratch protection for the back.
So far mine didn't break yet and my older brother had his for a couple of months and it didn't break yet. So we can only wait and see for now.

Poetic bumper
Hey,
I'm in Toronto as well. Got my bumper from here:
Poetic Borderline Bumper (Blue) @ Amazon
Since I have a trial prime membership, the shipping was free. The bumper itself is awesome. Not sure how it is compared to the OEM one, but this bumper looks nice and gets the job done

Using both of them each of them has their pro and cons.
OEM looks better than the Poetic Bumper.
Poetic Bumper is less bulky and easier to hold in the hand compared to the LG bumper.
OEM has better button clicks (has built in 'clicks')
In Toronto too.
I don't recommend the bumper due to the lack of protection for the rear glass panel. I got a very sturdy TPU case off ebay for $5. A friend scored the same thing for $3 =.=. Takes a while to ship from China, but totally worth it.
If you really want a bumper over a full case, you can still find it on ebay for single digit prices. It won't be the official one, but I doubt the official one is really any better.
Blueshop.ca has it. They also have great shipping times and prices for Canadians

Go with the Poetic bumper. Not as pretty but feels better in the hand, the rubber part grips better on flat surfaces and it's 1/3 of the price of the official bumper.

There you go. Poetic bumper on amazon.ca for a great price and shipping. Since all the bumper's crack at the bottom eventually and you might possibly don't want to drop 30 bucks for a OEM one, you should get the poetic one. I only got the OEM Bumper cause I wanted white

Go to pacific mall!!!!
Really? Would PMall have Nexus 4 cases?
For OEM bumper, I think your best bet is as Kendaihou mentioned, futureshop or best buy.
If ever you pass by Quebec, you can get at a Videotron shop for $20 (this is where i got mine, and they used to carry a ton of them).
The reason that the grey plastic below the usb port cracks is due to bending with installation/removal. I find out if you don't remove the case often and only remove/bend it from the TOP corners, the plastic at the bottom of the usb port shouldl not crack.
And by the way, nothing beats OEM quality
I didn't have the pleasure of grabbing one before Google pulled it off their website after they released the Pixel XL to the public. But I did get a cheap imitation off eBay and I love it. It protects better than my Spigen thin fit case which was great other than it doesn't protect the phone at all and it is hard as hell to take off. I like this imitation OEM case because it is easy to take off so I can admire the phone naked whenever I'm sitting on the couch. I ended up changing the phone body from silver to graphite because of the chips I got on the case because the Spigen didn't protect the bottom of the phone where the USB-C is. I think I would enjoy this case more than that bumper case because it actually provide some protection to the back and it looks and feels great. Not to mention it is like 10 bucks shipped. Lol

I was looking for other cases for the Essential phone and came across the incipio.com website. they are currently listing two different cases. The Dualpro is a case I had not seen before it is a Dual Layer Protective case and available in three different colors.

Please post pics and review When you get it.
I have the tudia case from Amazon and I'm looking for a better case. It is very thing and really lose on the sides. I'm want the incepio case but they don't have it in Amazon right now. Also the tudia case peels up my wet install screen protector, but I'm thinking any case will sure to the super slim bezels.

I just bought the dualpro from case.com...they have 10 percent off with code CASES
Mine says it will be here Friday, the wait is killing me. I have been handling this thing with kid gloves, leaving it in my pocket more than usual.
I plan on posting pics and providing my opinion of it. Unfortunately I do not use a screen protector, so I won't be able to speak on compatibility with one. I am going to put the round flat magnet from my vent phone holder (the round one with rubber feet) in between the two layers. I have had success with other cases and if it can confidently hold my Moto X Pure in place the Essential should not be an issue.
It seems like the case (DualPro) gets mostly favorable reviews in Amazon, I noticed that the Pixel price is around $10, where the Pixel 2 is still $29 (on Amazon). I am assuming that over time this case will get cheaper.
I have a similar case on my iPhone 6s made by iLuvvitt and it is rock solid and cost me less than $4 on sale.
Anyone else eyeing the Tudia Glost case that is being released on December 8th? I may pick up the Ocean Green one. It will be $19.90 on Amazon, $16.91 with 15% off coupon code on the page.

Im thinking that case companies are waiting to see if the phone is successful or not. With only 5k phones reported sold right off the start, Im sure case companies do not want to put time and money into an unsuccessful product. Now that you can get the phone from sprint for about 150 bucks im sure the sales and need for cases has gone way up. It seems that all the cases are back ordered.
My case is still not here, USPS says it was delayed. Hopefully it will be here today or Monday. Looks like everyone is out of stock, so at least I have one coming. Hindsight I should have ordered a backup (like the TAMM) on Amazon as soon as I ordered the phone. Live and learn.
Ordered mine from Incipio yesterday.. Got 50 % off and free shipping..

Grrr...out of stock on Incipio's site now
I was thinking of getting one and removing the back to have a bumper only (not sure why nobody has made a bumper case yet) currently have their regular one coming in a few days but I hate the look.
Like you I've been going naked for almost a week and handling it like a small child lol
Finally got my case! Feels premium for sure, but so does my $4 iLuvvitt dual layer case on my iPhone 6s.
Seriously though, it is a nice case. I feel like the inside TPU layer could be carried separately if desired. No issues using the round magnet that came with my vent phone mount between the layers. The rubbery finish on the outside layer shows oils from your hands when you handle it, but every case I have had like this is the same and can be wiped off easily with a microfiber towel.
It definitely adds bulk to the phone, but if you buy a dual layer case you should expect that. Rubber covering the buttons require a little bit of effort to press, cutouts are precise, and the OEM charger plugs in no problem. Having a raised case on the phone helps locate the fingerprint sensor easily.
I recommend it and would buy it again. I can't figure out how to post pics, Tapatalk won't allow me to attach anything.
Did you give the app permission?
