Hi, I´m looking everywere trying to solve this out but can't find anything. I live in argentina and recently bought an S6 to a guy that bought it USA. I didn't know that there were many variants of that phone. Mine is the G920P from Sprint. The thing is that I hate de Sprint branding, and I suspect that the bands are not the best for my country. The thing is that aparently in exactly the same hardware than the F or I versions (wich I think those are de international ones...) except for the CDMA capabilities that I really dont care about.
It is posible to flash my phone with another varian, for example the G920i?
I'll be thankful for any answers... and sorry for my english, I'm really rusty...
No you cannot do it. Different models have differend baseband and bootloader. You can brick your phone. But from what i know xtrestolite rom is universal and you can radio patch it to make the rom works. The rom doesnt effect in 3g 4g LTE band support.

Hi guys, I don't know if this is a basic question but I have to ask it since I haven't find an answer yet...
Can I modify the HSDPA/UMTS band via ROM or SPL update?
I bougth a HTC T-mobile myTouch (1700/2100 MHz bands, UMTS/HSDPA) but later I realized that here in CHILE my provider uses the 850/1900 band for 3g .
If I root my phone and try a different SPL and ROM, is it possible to change bands?
So, can I do somethig to make it work here or is it a matter of hardware?
Thanks
it would require hardware change....
You could sell the MyTouch and buy a Rogers Magic or Dream. They use the same 3G frequency as your networks in Chile. 850/1900
I'm from Chile too, I have the same "problem" But actually I don't care to much because next year 2 Nextel and VTR will offer mobile services... And they are gonna be based on the 1700/2100 bands...

Hi no-frost, I know that next year that will happen, but nobody really knows when... By the way, I saw your other posts, I wanted to tell you that I rooted an entel magic phone without loosing 3g or wifi...(via gold card) after a lor of trying an error I finally cach up with a mixture of ROM and SPL that worked
Supposedly there is only one hardware version of the OnePlus One.
But I know that the Chinese version of the One has trouble on some networks in the US, like no LTE support and very limited T-Mobile support.
My question is, is it possible to flash the baseband of the international version to the Chinese version and pick up those bands? (Specifically the 1700 band is what I'm looking for.)
I know there is a hacked WCDMA band that was posted on the chinese forum, but I don't really care about that one. I'm just wondering if the international baseband has been posted anywhere, and if it will work on the Chinese version.:fingers-crossed:
Bump.
I've heard this as well. I would be more than willing to pay the $389 from oppomart and flash it myself.
You can get 4G LTE on T-Mobile, its listed as 4G and not LTE but you do get LTE.
Edit: nevermind you're talking about the Chinese version.
I have the Chinese OPO on T-Mobile here in the US and I get no 4g just hspa+ but its not bad at all. It would be nice to get an international modem though

Does Chinese OPO + International Modem get 4G?
Does anyone know of what models are compatible for AT&T and will work on the 4g lte bands? I know that SM-N915A(at&t) and SM-N915T(T-moblie) but are any other models like the SM-N915G, etc? I have the att version but I am dying without root and it doesnt seem like anytime EVER there will be a root and bootloader unlock. I am going to sale mine and replace it with another so thanks in advance!

Hi,
I want to upgrade my Galaxy S3 and the S5 is great for the price at the moment.
But it doesn't have FM Radio and I really use it every day and can't afford the internet radio.
So I heard that the S5 of Sprint in the US does have a FM Radio, but I wonder if it will work normally in Spain (Europe), both the radio and the phone bands. I believe that importing a phone from the USA is a bad idea for those problems, but I really know nothing. I am a Spaniard living in Spain and will only use it in Europe, never in America. If I buy it it will be on eBay.
Can someone with a Sprint S5 from America confirm if it works in Europe with a non-american carrier and also the free FM Radio?
Thanks a lot.
