hello there good people ,
As the subject suggested , I'm looking for a simple remote for my smart home (z-wave : vera controller) .
This tablet will be wall mounted most of the time and will be taken to living room when needed.
I don't need a good quality screen , I don't need cellular data , I don't need BT , I don't even need camera (I think they all have it) .
just need simple android (preferably kitkat and up) Wifi enabled cheap tablet.
micro USB charging will make a good advantage so it will be fairly easy to find a matching white charger.
I think budget should be ~$60-70 USD .
I also need the links to be from eBay / DX / aliexpress.
I think this 11/11 sale will produce a good buying opportunity.
Thanks very much for your help.

Hello,
Nice forum! This is my first post here. Be nice
I'm going on a short trip to Taiwan and want to get a HTC phone from there. My max budget is something around $300-$350 USD. I can't decided on a model. Things I want/dont want:
1. I'll use it as my main phone (GSM). So something 'relatively' small.
2. I want to use microsoft excel on it (regularly) and browse sometimes.
3. Use it as an MP3 player.
4. microSD
5. Good looks / WiFi / USB 2.0 are plus points but not required.
6. I'm OK if the phone has NO camera. It's not a requirement.
I've looked around and found Kaiser to be a nice option (KAIS100 preferred since it doesnt have the camera). But I don't have any idea about it's price in Taiwan.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
ok, get a touch, or rebranded version of it. Ive had a few devices [check my signature] and my latest is the touch. it has bt, wifi, good screen, on camera and its small. If you need to type a lot, you could always get a bluetooth keyboard for it...
In my opinion, and with the present situation [check out the kaiser forum for what i mean] the kiaser wouldnt be a good bet, and if you're primarily going to use it for excel, i wouldnt get a high [supposedly] specced device like the kaiser.

Thanks!
Any idea on price of Touch / Touch Dual in Taiwan?
Hey guys!
I'm looking for a nice tablet under 150€/170USD.
My requisites are as follows:
1. good enough screen (10'', vivid colours) for books, med school manuals.
2. good enough cpu/ram for web surfing
3. good community support/ android 4/cm9 availability
aaaaand.. I think that's it! What pops into mind after reading this?
Definitively the TouchPad (if you could find one )
Yeah.. shame I didnt get one of those at 99$
Any other idea?
Hello,
I'm looking for Android phone up to 200$.
Not sure if should I buy something kinda outdated (like htc desire with old android) or rather fairly new construct like chineese clones (something like hdc i9300 or something else on mtk6575/6577). with recent android version Those chineese phones have quite good specs, but it's a lot of mess with them (sometime they claim to have ips screen, sometime the vary same model say it's amoled, even single alieexpress auction in one place is stated that it has ips screen while few lines lower says its amoled).
Very hard for me too choose. Are there any reputable reviews of those clones? Lots of reviews look more like commercials saying only good thigs about phone.
What would you choose?
I just want pretty standard things like :
responsive UI (hate lagging)
wifi (really working not just 1m away router)
good screen usable in sunlight (perfect would be ips) between 3.5 and 4.8 inches.
web browsing option
capable of runinng few apps at the time (browser, calendard etc) - don't care about games, although it would be nice to view movies.
and pretty decent battery (so like 2days at least of working)
GPS
decent camera which could replace separate compact camera.
Phone must be new.
Is anyone really happy with clone bought from china? Not only after buying but also after few months of use?
Could you point sellers you've been satisfied with? I know there are ratings with aliexpress, but many users buying barely know what they are buying, and even if phone is lot worse then specs say they give good feedback. E.g. Few months ago on polish auction site (like ebay) there was a guy selling fake pendrives (256mb capacity while claiming to have 32gb - altered somehow to show fake capacity) and most users left him positive feedback.
thanks in advance

I've been bashing my head over this for the last few weeks but I don't seem to be any closer to a solution so I figure maybe the good folks here can give me a few good suggestions..
I've tired of dealing with my ipad2's crap and want to move over to an Android tablet but I'm not sure which one to go for.. Mostly my usage would be reading books/'comics, watching media.. web-browsing and remote-system administration through both RDP/Citrix and command-line interfaces.
I'm not opposed to gaming either..
So.. ideally I'm looking for a decent specced tablet.. 10inch screen, a keyboard (integrated or bluetooth if it can be folded into "One" piece is a must)
Decent quality screen
Removable storage (SD card etc) is a huge boon.
And a nifty/speedy processor that'll last.
Now.. So far the tablets I've been looking at are..
Asus Transformer Prime = This seemed to hit all the buttons but after reviewing the forums here and asking friends who actually own one the build-quality/QA seems to be pretty bad to the point i've been totally put off getting one.
Nexus 10 - Seems nice, no keyboard and SD card are a huge mark against it
Archos 101 XS Turbo - Seems interesting, but don't know enough about it and good word on the ground is thin in order to make a judgement call...
Any others I might not have heard about, or even word about the ones I've listed so far would be a huge help..
Thanks!
Got my son the transformer prime, the whole family loves it.

hi guys...
i find id hard to find a decission about buying a motorola xoom 1 for portable pentesting.
i want to go for backtrack on the device, cause i have been reading that this is the best device for backtrack and because of the " Monitor / injecting mode".
in this conclusion i got 3 questions and i hope you guys can help med.
the first is ...do you guys agree that i should go for this device or is their better alternatives for my purpuse (monitor mode)
have any of you have expirience with the sslstrip "yamas" on this device.
is it possible to use a Alfa AWUS036NHA on the zoom.
i want to state that i have an ipad for "fun" like games and movies, so buying a new tablet is only for pentesting!
Wouldn't it be better to buy a cheap netbook? Mod it to use a better antenna, away you go.
