Moto G 1st gen - downgrade from CM13 to stock 4.4 - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I was using CM13 but then decided to downgrade to 4.4 EU stock. Here are steps I did:
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/guide-xt1033-downgrade-lollipop-5-0-to-t2969729
2) I flashed XT1032_RETAIL-EU_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_36_cid7_CFC_1FF
Everything went fast and smooth except one thing - screen is flickering after downgrade and after flashing stock ROM. I guess this is a bootloader issue that came with CM13. What to do with this?
[edit] I have checked my bootloader version:
adrian$ ./osx-fastboot getvar version-bootloader
version-bootloader: 4118
finished. total time: 0.001s

Hi,
Is this flickering disappear when you put your phone in stand by mode once and turn it on one more time?
If answer is yes, highly suggest you to leave it like it is... It's your bootloader, it's a highest version that's needed by 4.4.4.
Trying to downgrade your bootloader is almost surely a good way to brick it...

Thanks for your response.
Yes - they happens randomly - mostly after phone reboot then they goes away. By the way - my bootloader 41.18 seems to be the lowest version available and from what I read shouldn't cause flickering on 4.4

Please Help XT1032 Cricket Moto G (original non LTE version) DEAD Android

My XT1032 from cricket was on 4.4.2. I tried updating it to 4.4.3 via retail rom. The bootloader is locked. Something was over written and now it will only boot to a screen with dead android with a red exclamation point and then into the USB loader page. The error is preflash validation failed from mfastboot. I have tried using a 4.4.2 and 4.4.3. I believe the retail version i tried to use was a 4.4.4. I have no idea how to get the bak to just stock cricket 4.4.2.
Please help gentlemen, I am at a loss. I have tried a number of roms now but everything in the rom upgrade list fails preflash validation? I dont know what to do?
Not Helping But
I did exactly what you did, multiple times. However, I caused no damage. In my case(s) my phone would start the update and fail after a while. The phone would reboot and be fine on 4.4.2. Maybe, sometime in the next year or so, Cricket will release the update so that others won't go through this.

[Q] Moto G Telus/Koodo, screwed up 5.0.2 update : please help..!

Hello Android gurus
I tried to find the answer to my problem in the other threads, but I'm still not 100% sure if I should proceed.
. I had rooted xt1032 moto g prior to 5.0.2 OTA that came out yesterday.
I used full unroot with supersu prior to applying the OTA thinking it would be ok. I guess I screwed up, my phone is soft bricked.
I can get in stock recovery but otherwise it is on boot loop and ends up with 'no command'.
I have the moving line problem on the bootloader white screen which seems to imply a diferent version of kernel and bootloader, (which I do not full understand)
.. Which makes we wonder if it is unsafe to flash the stock rom 4.4.4 image of my phone.
And if it is safe, will I be able to update via OTA after that?
What are my options? Thanks in advance!
The moving line issue is probably due to the fact that you have the 41.18 bootloader on your phone.
I also have a Koodo xt1032 with the 41.18 bootloader and was able to flash back to stock Telus 4.4.4. Do not flash stock 4.4.2 as other XDA members have said that flashing 4.4.2 would brick your phone.
I'm checking for OTA updates but I keep getting the message that my phone's software is up to date.

[Q] can i complete downgrade to 4.4.4 after 5.0.2?

Hi there, i am tring to get back from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4... after messed my phone (brick it several time) i was able to boot Stock 4.4.4 flashing the 5.0.2 via Fastboot then 4.4.4 via custom recovery...
there 2 things that i want to fix now, when the phone is charging offline there a "?" on the battery status, the other thing is the screen flick before the first standby, is there a way to restore the 4.4.4 bootloader???
Thanks and best regards!
Yes I want upgrade

I've seen a LOT of "downgrade" guides, but it seems that NO, you cannot downgrade the bootloader. You cannot fully downgrade.
I went from 5.1 stock to 4.4.4, and I too get that weird horizontal line graphic anomaly.

Randomly turns off

Hi,
I'm using a Moto G 1. Gen (running CyanogenMod 13), but since some weeks the device randomly turns off, so I have to manually restart the phone.
I already tried to flash a stock system, but this won't help.
This dosen't occur only on specific percentages. It can happen every time. Mostly 1-2 times a day.
If I power the phone using a charger everything works fine.
Is it an issue with the battery? And would it be possible to replace the battery on warranty (I unlock my bootloader, so I dont think they will do it).
Try a Stock-based ROM such as Identity Crisis 6. You must follow flashing instructions exactly.
Also, to make sure you have the latest available Bootloader and Radio Firmware, flash the newest Factory Firmware Image for your model using Fastboot.
