Hey,
As you might already have heard about this Aakash Tablet from india which government was successful to build only at 60$ which packs a good hardware but unfortunately lags a lot due to resistive touch screen and also laggy android.
Specification of tablet are as under.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aakash_(tablet)
In that read about the UBISLATE 7.
I thought if a developer community is there to help then may be this would be the best tablet in market.
Whats your verdict XDA?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Hi, as above need advice for my son's Xmas present and apart from getting a China tab with long delivery times, my options are limited.
Ideally want one that's well supported with ROMs for future proofing if possible.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

So I searched the forums for a place to write this but couldn't find so I decided to post here.
I am looking to buy a tablet, but have no idea which one of the millions to choose.
What I'm looking to in a tablet:
- Good (to excellent) performance
- Big screen (around 10 inch), and a good one
- Supported by the forums (I'd like to install all different kinds of ROMs..)
- I came across the possibility to have dual-boot with Windows, so that'd be awesome (of couse win10)
- 64GB would be great
- Nice battery life
- And, of course, the cheaper the better (I don't want to spend more than 300$ on it)
I'm pretty sure I'm asking for too much, especially with the budget price, but can you guys please do me a favor and suggest me tablets around the specs I want?
Oh and I looked at Telcast's X98 Pro tablet, it was perfect, but problem is that the tablet isn't supported by the forums at all..
Thank you guys in advance!

Hi XDA!
I'm looking for an Android tablet to hack on. Ideally, I'd get to get as far as installing Halium and KDE Plasma Mobile. I've got two tablets in mind
Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet
Samsung 8" Galaxy Tab S2
I believe they can both have LineageOS installed. And from there, I believe I can begin I can work towards installing Halium.
But... if Plasma Mobile doesn't live up to my expectations - can I roll back? Either to Lineage or even the original stock install?
I apologize if this a remedial question - it's been at least 10 years since I had an Android device of any kind. I'm trying to break my Apple habit from the last 10 years. This laptop is running openSUSE Tumbleweed with Git-unstable KDE Plasma 5.13 beta... I've been accepted as a KDE developer and trying to learn new material. A modded Android tablet would suit me fine.
But even though I'm "on the inside", I'm a little unclear as to how usable Plasma Mobile really is or how well it'll run on these device. That's why I'm looking to learn if I can restore to the original source if I want.
Thanks!
