Hey,
As you might already have heard about this Aakash Tablet from india which government was successful to build only at 60$ which packs a good hardware but unfortunately lags a lot due to resistive touch screen and also laggy android.
Specification of tablet are as under.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aakash_(tablet)
In that read about the UBISLATE 7.
I thought if a developer community is there to help then may be this would be the best tablet in market.
Whats your verdict XDA?

I wanted to go with HTC HD 2 as its the most developer friendly phone but its hard to get one now.
SO i was having thoughts what might be the second best phone if its not HD2?
we all know Android sucks at many areas and so does windows phone.
But dual boot to both of them can be a really good idea.
So i am mostly interested in ICS and Mango dual booting phone.
Verdict guys..
afaik the only device capable of dualbooting now is HD2
For an experience almost as smooth as wp7 and as open as android, buy the Nokia n9. Not much support these days but it has the basics.

Hi to all guys,
i'm a new italian user of this forum and i'm here because i'd like to join the fabulous world of smartphone hacking.
I'm a desktop application developer and i want to work on smartphones too.
The first question is, probabily, obivious for a newbie: wich smartphone is a good starting point for developping/hacking purpose?
After reading some articles around web i think that an android based phone is the best for my purposes, but wich model (considering also a price lower than 500 euros..)
Quick technical question about WiFi: all the android phones can set the WiFi card in monitor mode?
Thanks in advance to all

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. There isn't a great deal of information available for your device, but I'd suggest you have a look through here:
Android Development and Hacking
See what you can find in that section, or you might need to venture outside of XDA.
Good luck!

So I searched the forums for a place to write this but couldn't find so I decided to post here.
I am looking to buy a tablet, but have no idea which one of the millions to choose.
What I'm looking to in a tablet:
- Good (to excellent) performance
- Big screen (around 10 inch), and a good one
- Supported by the forums (I'd like to install all different kinds of ROMs..)
- I came across the possibility to have dual-boot with Windows, so that'd be awesome (of couse win10)
- 64GB would be great
- Nice battery life
- And, of course, the cheaper the better (I don't want to spend more than 300$ on it)
I'm pretty sure I'm asking for too much, especially with the budget price, but can you guys please do me a favor and suggest me tablets around the specs I want?
Oh and I looked at Telcast's X98 Pro tablet, it was perfect, but problem is that the tablet isn't supported by the forums at all..
Thank you guys in advance!
There's a dedicated thread for such questions here,

Many opinions to be had there, so I'll close this thread. :good:
