Yeah I asked them on their FB page how difficult it would be to remove the skin, aka. is it comparable to 3M adhesive. Looks like now it's between Slickwraps' Natural series and these guys...
Do they deliver to the U.K???

Thanks these covers look great. Being able to have your own art etched on cover opens up lots of possibilites.

What about a completely custom cover with my own artwork or logo?
You bet! You can create a one-of-a-kind cover in any of our awesome product lines by submitting your own artwork to us for etching. Artwork must be a high-resolution image or vector file (JPG, PSD, BIT, AI, EPS are common formats). We accept any artwork you submit as your own art and that you have appropriate permission to use it. Just upoad your image file when you place your order and we'll send you a high-resolution rendering for your approval before crafting your final cover(s). Custom covers typically take 3-5 days, with longer lead times possible for bulk orders. For more info and lots of pictures of delectable custom covers we have crafted, please see our "Custom Covers" page.

Because adding your own artwork to a handmade wood skin is way cool.
that is a nice picture but other than that is not worth it. really bad idea putting your metal phone in that piece of wood.

care to explain thoughts on why?
I'd love to see the stock Google case but instead of the micro fiber, have that insert as a nice soft leather. Tempted to try it myself. Costly case to hack apart though.
I ran Toast on my G3 and it was awesome looking and had very good grip. Upon removal, it was HORRIBLE. Took forever just to get it off and then you have the adhesive to deal with. Heat and alcohol did make any difference. I mean, I'm glad it's that sticky, but after 30min and not getting far I just decided to order a new back for it. No plans on a repeat on my N6P.

I was surprised too, always saw lots of positive things about them and their product is really top notch. But if it's that huge of a PITA to remove, I don't want to deal with that. G3 backs are cheap, but not sure about the 6p's.

i have used toast skins on 3 different phones. They do stick very well , sometimes it comes down to the material of the device. While some surfaces can be more difficult than others, at no time did i feel like anything was too difficult or would cause damage. I have removed all 3 skins without issue. Just take your time and use some slight heat if necessary.

I totally agree, Toast wouldn't sell them if they all were a PITA to get off. I think mine was just cursed, but still scared to use it again.
It felt unique to use the phone with it, one of the better feeling options without added bulk.

It adds MAJOR grip, especially with the laser etched scorelines which enable the wood to wrap the device.

We use a few different high grade adhesives from 3M depending on the material of the device. We've also redesigned the backing so it is easy to remove, even it's been on for years. We'll have a install / removal video with the 6P up soon!

The key to easy removal was to hit it with a little bit of heat from a hair dryer to release the adhesive, but that's not even necessary anymore. Nice and straight to the point. The glass doesn't contain the digitizer, right? It also doesn't need to be glued to the actual oled itself? Isn't the glue between the glass and the oled causing the dark blotches? The oled should be plastic so you should be able to clean it with a light solvent before putting the new glass on. Sorry for so many questions. I haven't cracked mine but its nice to know it can be fixed cheap.

Idk if you saw the threads about the dark blotches when viewing a black image at night. They show up on every phone from the factory. I thought that after your method that a side effect would be those would be gone. This makes me worry less about getting a case

I ordered this case and, while I don't normally use cases, I'm very happy with it. I won't have the phone to go with it for a while, but my old Droid DNA fits in it and I can tell that I wouldn't have a problem using the new X with a case on 24/7...really nice feeling, I think it's the curves.

I like the motomaker bumper case, protects the edges but shows the design of your phone. Hopefully some aftermarket companies will start making bumper cases for a better price.

Given the shape of the Moto X, will a bumper case sufficiently protect the back of the phone, specifically the center? I like the idea of that bumper case, I'm just worried that since the phone tapers around the edges that the fat part of the phone in the middle will be susceptible to scratches and since I'm planning on a wood back that's a no go.

it looks thick enough that it'll raise the phone just a tad bit. i usually lay my phone face down, to protect the display. i am hoping the bumper gives enough lift so the front speaker grills don't get scratched

The bear motion cases add very little bulk to the devices and seem to protect the edges very nicely (at least they did on the Gen 1). Hopefully they will offer a 2014 model.

Ugh, again they cover the dimple. The original was probably the best case I've ever used, but how the hell do they decide to cover the dimple? I actually like the one on the 2nd gen more than the first.
edit: interestingly enough, the back of the phone isn't right in those pics on amazon. the flash isn't correct. here's hoping there's a chance they do have a cutout, even if i doubt it.

Toast is laser cut and handcrafted from sustainably grown, North American hardwoods. Every cover is sanded, beveled and treated to 3 coats of a hand rubbed finish. Rest assured, they are splinterproof.

It is a skin. I had one on my nexus 6 and where the little cuts are on the corners started peeling up. It made the skin have a little edge that got caught on my clothes. I ended up peeling it all off and going with a wood Dbrand skin
Wow, looks great! I want to have that for my phone too <3
I wonder how stable it is, since the cover is made of thin wood.
I am looking at the bamboo ebony combo, and would like a vertical "nexus" etched in it in the same location and with the same font as on the phone itself. Is that possible?
If so, I definitely think that I'll pull the trigger. Should look slicker than my metal dBrand.
I want the leather!!!!! Although that dark wood/light camera visor looks nice!
Just saw the installation video, please note that your screen skin covers the proximity sensor.

Damn, that bamboo with walnut inlay combo (back only) looks great. I may be ordering one next week...
$34 for a pice of paper. These sellers gotta be crazy sick lmao
Hi guys, I bought a local case for my Moto X Play and its made of hard rubber. It feels very solid but the buttons are too rigid. So I am looking to change to a new one.
I would probably buy something from Flipkart or Amazon.in because C-O-D is easiest for me and was wondering if you guys could give me some recommendations.
The phone's pretty big as is and I don't want too bulky a case but something with nice cutouts, since I got a Tronsmart Quick Charger with its bigger micro-usb plug.
I broke my S4 by dropping it so something with a bit of protection would not go amiss however.
Hope for some nice suggestions, budget around ₹500, maybe stretch a little bit above.
My Diztronic TPU is very satisfactory and has correctly sized cutouts for cables and whatnot. Depends on how much protection you're looking for.
This cost about ₹1,000 in the UK, not sure what the price would be elsewhere.
Thanks for responding. I checked it out and its there on Amazon India. Looks to be a nice case, guessing you went for the black edition of the case? Do you have the white MXP or the black one? I have the black one myself.

Yeah, I went with the black version of the case and a generally dark theme in Moto Maker when I bought the phone itself. Darker colours tend to be more versatile and show their age less immediately than lighter colours, I find.

Perhaps I ought to know from "TPU." but, is the back of the case a soft feel or hard?
The back of the X Play has a good feel and is easy to grip. I made the mistake of buying a flip case with a hard shell, which is neither.
halui, thanks for pointing out that it is available on Amazon.in
anyone knows where to get rubber case, not TPU real rubber? I have searched many places but didn't get.

I got mine from the local street seller for about ₹100 and it definitely feels like real rubber. The power and volume buttons are pretty stiff and not easily press able though.

Really? I can't say that I've found the buttons much of an issue on the case, but maybe I just have the finger strength to ignore it.

I have one exactly like that only totally transparent and slots for volume and power buttons.

I had a TPU case for my Galaxy S4 and it had very soft buttons so I am sure your case won't be an issue either. This is a local case though, rubberised plastic and has stiff buttons.

I'm really stupid. I got it into my head that this was a flip cover, because that is what I want. Of course it isn't, and the product page shows that as clearly as showing that it isn't an elephant! doh!
Anyway, looks like the seller will kindly accept the return, even though the reason is customer stupidity.
Does anyone know a good flip case made from this kind of material.
For anyone who knows the Mi stuff, what I want is something like the Mi smart-flip for my flood-destroyed m4i. That was just perfect...
My moto flip case don't give me any trouble and wasn't that expensive.

Do you use screen protectors? Used these rubber cases and always end with scratches on my screen with older phones after some months.

Hi guys, I would like to know what is the best skin for the G5 that also covers the side? I checked dbrand and it seems they only have front and back skins. Is there a high quality phone skin manufacturer that also covers the side area of the G5?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
i have a vinyl plotter so i can make you a custom one.I've slowly been working on making my own for my phone.
I bought one from slickwraps as I usually do when I order skins (usually because I have a discount code from previous orders).
I've always found them to be great quality and perfect fit on all devices I've tried.
Ill upload pics when I get it (hopefully tomorrow)

How much would you charge for a custom one, if be very interested in one. I love the shape and feel of the phone so I prefer skins over cases. And a custom option would be sick

IDK, like $5-10? i'm not trying to compete with Dbrand here lol, was just designing one for myself anyways.
What color are you looking for? i'm currently using matte black for mine.

Haha no problem. Hopefully mine will arrive today and I'll get some pics up later
Hi all. My Slickwraps arrived today and I've attached a good few pics. As usual it is a perfect fit all round and simple enough to apply (always use a hairdryer on curved surfaces to 'shrink' the material into the curve).
Just want to state that I am not affiliated with Slickwraps in any way, nor have I been asked to review. I am simply a happy customer of a few years and want to share my experiences.

Looks awesome. Thank You!
Im seeking for a black piano sticker for the front bottom of the phone... Just to cover that LG logo area.
Enviado de meu LG-H860 usando Tapatalk
Dbrand has always been my go-to option and they've been perfectly cut, but seeing that Slickwraps skin, I'll be giving that a go for sure since that also covers the sides.
Skinit has some good skins as well
I got from Xtremeskins, Dark Oak
it's only £5 (+£2 for additional accents) and free shipping if you are in the UK!
You even get spares for the borders' stickers!
The fit is almost perfect, the back skin leaves a little naked metal wear the chin separates, but i'm ok with it! (I didn't want to stretch neither...)
It looks like a metal band separating the main body and the chin.
Using a spigen clear hybrid case on, the fit is very tight, sadly a bit of the right side skin got a bit peeled (it's okay since i have spares hehe)...
but all in all, super satisfied, quite realistic wood appearance and texture.
Was hesitating between Dark oak and Walnut, I'd love to have the Walnut skin too haha.
Will post more photos later today.
I ordered black leather from xtremeskins as well, to go with my case but the skin that goes around the camera lens blocked the wide angle camera on the edges. Did you try it? Did you get the same result?
Is there any skin for Cam Plus module?

We're seeing a huge influx of their customers lately.
Anyone have problems with wide camera after applied skin camera stick?Look top left and bottom corner...I have this skin.
Anyone know know where I can get sinks in my geo area - either from UK or Ireland, I don't want to wait weeks for it to come from the US.
edit: If I actually read the post 2 posts back I would have gotten my answer !
