Best phone under 300€ - Android General

Hello everybody,
My boyfriend and I are looking for a new smartphone. We wouldn't want to spend more than 300€ on each phone. We have done lot of work but we still can't decide what's the best choice. So far Xiaomi Mi4c or Oneplus One seem to be the best deal, but our knowledge is limited.
Important points:
-Enough RAM
-Good processor
-4G connection
-Fair battery life (at least 1 day with no charging)
Other aspects like design, camera, additional services, materials... are not that important as the previous ones.
We would be buying two mobile phones, so if anyone knows some offer please tell us!
Thank you for your time :fingers-crossed:

[Q] Reliability of unbranded Android phones vs 'original' Samsungs

Hi everyone,
After my Samsung S2 suffered water damage, I now need to buy a new smartphone, and I had almost decided for the S3, which now costs only GBP40 less than the S2. Until I stumbled upon this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/S7189-MTK6589-Android-Smartphone-UNLOCKED/dp/B00BG8F9G0
I have no problem with the idea of owning an "unbranded" phone, but I'm just worried that it might later turn out to be of substantially lower quality than the original. A colleague of mine owns a previous model of this Star phone (N7100), and he's been happy with it for the past year or so. After playing around with his phone a bit, it seemed fine to me, however I didn't get to test it in more detail (e.g. compare image quality of camera output with that from the S2, or see how stable the GPS fix is).
I'd have really liked to read a proper review for it (with benchmarks etc), or at least see a believable amount of user ratings. The Amazon product page has some good user reviews, but only 22 of them, and you can't really find much information about this model (or about the Star make in general) on the Internet.
What do you guys think? Is there reason to believe this phone would perform (visibly/audibly) worse than its closest Samsung equivalent, or that its life expectency would be shorter? Many thanks in advance for any help, I really appreciate it!

Please use one of ^^^^^these^^^^^^ threads. Otherwise the General forum would be full of these kinds of threads. One important difference that is independent of build quality is that branded phones have better OEM support and there is likely to be a lot more development on a branded device.

[Q] Choose Between phone

Hi guys,
i need your help, i need to buy a new phone and I have two in mind: OnePlus One(64gb) and LG G3( 32gb/3gb ram).
I do gaming use and media consuming, I consider myself a medium/heavy user.
Wich one I should buy?
Thank you in advance.
When you're dealing with two high-end, respected phones, it really comes down more to personal preference, although there are some important factors to consider. You still need to procure an invite to order a OnePlus One, although that task is gradually becoming easier. Also, the One comes with Cyanogen preloaded. The removable battery and SD card on the G3 may also be important to you (they definitely are for me). Otherwise, the two handsets are extremely similar spec-wise, apart from the 1440p screen on the G3, which comes with its own benefits and caveats. You really cannot go wrong with either.
There are 3 threads already established that are devoted to discussions about devices, please read, and if necessary, repost your question in one of these threads: The what should I buy thread or the The Device Suggestion Thread or the The Device Comparison Thread.
There are also several other discussion threads that you probably should review to help you. They are What phone do you wish you had? or

[Completed] choosing an android on those criteria !

Hello!
i currently own an iphone 6 και and am looking to swap it for an android device-sick of ios(i previously owned 4s,5,6).
The android i am looking for must meet the below criteria with order of importance :
-good battery life
-good display
-good camera
-fast
-θpreferably with on screen buttons
-good sound quality with headphones
-somewhat decent support (not the htc type-oh here is 1 update, thats it )
phones i loved so far but cannot decide on them are :
-note 4(since note 5 wont be coming to eu), but it is already over 1 year old, so its updaes should stop after android 6.0
-nexus 6...man oh man i really really love that one but as it turns out, it bends with almost non existent effort ( youtube is filled with videos crushing it bare handed like its a candy bar)
-lg g4 very nice and fluid experience , good camera but the battery life is truly-hard to believe-kind of bad
Please help me escape the walled garden of apple, and guide me..devices nowadays are very expensive to just go see-n-choose..also exchanging devices from seller is a no-go where i live (say e.g. i return a lg g4 because it doesnt work for me).
Thanks, you guys!
Hello.

What should I buy?

Hi guys, even though I'm the biggest android nerd, and knows pretty much everything about what phones available and stuff like that, I'm still wondering what phone I should buy. All the new releases, week after week, and specs flowing around, is really confusing. My beloved LG G2 is getting pretty old, so I'm looking for: Preferably 6" (5, 7" is also tolerable), good camera, large battery, a snappy processor, preferably aluminum body, and a price around 400-500$ (350-450€, 280-350£),And a availability in Europe. I know it could sound like a Nexus or a Mate 8, but I'm looking for something a little different. If you can think of something similar to above, then hit me!

Recommendation for budget tablet with broad community support

Hello to everybody.
My old iPad (inherited after my father) is going out of life and I'm thinking about its replacement by some budget friendly Android device.
I'm not playing any games, so rather just device for watching videos in bed and browsing the internet.
I have still my old OnePlus One where I was amazed by friendly and nice community an I would like to ask if somebody has recommendation for some good piece of hardware with similarly broad community around that makes device usable even after years?
I do not need any cutting edge features (as described by my use cases, that's why I'm thinking about something budget friendly ), so my requirements are cutted rather to only trustable hardware and good community support.
Many thanks,
Stan
