Moto X Play: Cyanogenmod does not find SIM-Card - General Questions and Answers

Hello!
I am a new user, so i am not allowed to post in the Thread "Cyanogenmod for Moto X Play".
My problem:
First, i flashed a original Indian firmware for my XT1562 to receive dual-sim support for my X Play.
Now i wanted to try cyanogenmod.
I used twrp-lux-2.8.7-v2 recovery to flash cm-12.1-20151101-UNOFFICIAL-lux.
Everything went ok as i could see.
After new reboot the CM-Installation-Wizard says: "no sim card found".
Of course, a sim card is inserted in slot 1 (it was ok with the "original Indian Firmware").
What could be the problem, what can i do to solve the problem?
Greetings from Austria!
Josef

I did some more research.
And finally, i think, that did the trick:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/help/enabling-dual-sim-single-sim-devices-t3225546
The sim card is available and working now, even the settings for a second sim are there.

[Q] No sim after lollipop update on moto x

Hello everybody,
I have a moto x (1st gen) and I did a full unrooting and flashed back to stock to be able to update to lollipop. While flashing to stock, I took out my sim card to avoid loosing all my contacts (I know I made a big mistake!), and after that, even with my sim card inside, it keeps telling me no sim. Is there anyway to fix this problem?
I already flashed back to stock 4.4.4 with the sim card inside, and it also said no sim. I updated again to lollipop and same thing. I would be grateful for help with this.
Thanks.

I've tried that several times and it has been to no avail. I don't know what happened this time I did a full stock flash, but right now, it is showing INVALID CARD - EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY. I've changed sim cards and reinserted the sim several times, but... same old INVALID CARD shows up.

Root ics with CID error

Hi
Can someone please help? I've an ICS on atrix 2 running at&t ROM official on Indian Atrix 2,unfortunately I've lost my CID & getting cid error on boot & want to bypass it with bmm
I searched many threads couldn't get fix.i want to root my device and I was told to root using BP tool,I've no clue how to root using bptool as I've tried one click ICS root which didn't help,if someone can guide me or provide a link how to Root using bptool & also I need a bmm apk file as playstore doesn't have it,please need help.I'd really appreciate all the help
AFAIK, if you have not backed up your CID, you have to live with that error
Each phone has its own CID
Thanks for reply,my concern is rooting, how to root ICS when I've cid error can you help me I was told using bp tools I've no clue how to root using bptools
Pls see this post, part number 2

Many thanks I followed your procedure & rooted it,one more question here as I've an Indian atrix 2 MB865 but flashed ATTversion I'm getting sim not found error,is this cause of flashing at&t or some other reason, here is the thing
I insert a micro sim of one carrier by Name Aircel it detects for sometime & again no sim card
If i insert normal mini sim card of mostly all the carriers ive tried ,it'll not detect my sim no matter what i do
Ive tried both 32k & 64k sim.i believe atrix 2 has mini sim,but still don't detect mini sim,but it detected micro sim for couple of hours
Sim I've used
Aircel -micro sim worked for 2 hours
Aircel - mini sim didn't work
Vodafone - mini sim didn't work
Docomo - mini sim didn't work,
Could you please help me,should I reflash Indian fxz? Or is it just a radio problem? Could you link me to correct fxz of Indian version please as I've already messed my phone with cid not saved, also if I flash back to Indian fxz will I've any problems flashing as I've CID error?last thing should I delete Boot menu manager & unroot before flashing? All your help highly appreciated
Regards
1. You're sure that your SIMs work, right?
2. Because mine is AT&T, so I don't have any experience flashing cross ROM
Here're what I know from your post:
- I think you can use alcohol to clean your SIM holder
- You don't need to remove BMM or unroot before flashing, just flash it by RSD, like you raze your house and build a new one, you don't care what are inside your home :silly:
Thanks again,I've flashed back to Asia retail using the bat file without using rsd lite, thanks to the developers ,makes things so easy, coming to the sim issue ,even after rolling back to Asia retail the sim problem still there, not detecting sim.it only detects one particular carrier sim that's aircel & its a micro sim whereas our atrix2 has mini sim.I'm really confused now, where am I wrong
You said clean sim holder as in the sim card slot which holds sim card inside the phone or do I clean the sim card ? The chip portion?
Do you think the sim tray is faulty ? If faulty it wouldnt detect any sim ,but it detects micro sim of one particular carrier,I'm sorry to throw so many questions at you, really appreciate your help
Hi,
I meant the golden contact points of your phone, just clean it for sure
But if you already flashed different ROMs or tried many SIM cards then I think there must be problem with your hardware (SIM holder or something else I don't know)
Mini SIM or micro SIM doesn't matter, just the size
To remove cid err on bootlogo, you should try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406867

USIM Toolkit is not ready or unsupported on Lenovo VIBE P1

Hi there,
I have a Lenovo Vibe P
Bought it from India and using it in Kenya with a Kenyan SIM card.
It is running Android 5.1
I have not rooted it or installed any custom ROM
It is the same ROM as the phone came with.
I updated it thrice.
One was an update for 200+ MBs
The next update was the 33MB one
After thus two updates, the USIM Toolkit was working and I was able to see the services of the Kenyan SIM card.
I was offered another 30+MB update and once I completed it, the USIM Toolkit was inaccessible.
After the second time the update was offered, the Toolkit does not open.
Any advise. Pls help.
My phone same. The only difference is I never had both sim cards work. Rubbish phone I'd say. First and last Lenovo I'll ever buy.

"Invalid SIM card" issue

Hi, i've a problem with my htc one e8 sprint.
it's unlocked and until two days ago all works good.
Sunday morning i 'found' the message "Invalid SIM card. Contact Customer Care" and the GSM network works only for emergency call.
If i remove the sim the "no sim found" error was raised but when i insert it again the error change in "invalid sim card".
I try the SIM in another phone and it works. I also try another working sim in this phone but the same error is raised.
I try to flash another old backup images via TWRP (android 5 and android 4.4) but the error was the same.
i check the IMEI with imei.info app and it seems to be unlocked.
when i change the network Type in screen "Telephone Info" (reachable via *#*#4636#*#* code in dialer) nothing happens.
now i'm using the ViperOneM8 rom and it works good for 4 months.
any ideas?
may be the radio hardware defective?
thanks for all your help.
have a nice day.

hi,
the SIM seems to be locked again. the hardware is OK.
i solve the problem with the following steps:
1) backup current rom via TWRP.
2) reinstall the RUU version 2.32.651.11.
3) Unlock the sim again with the method in the thread named:
Getting SPC Unlocking SIM M9 SPRINT [NV]
found at :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-one-m9/general/nv-unlock-sim-t3314755
it works with my HTC ONE E8 Sprint!
4) Flash again TWRP 3.0 and supersu via WinDroid 3.1
5) restore previous backup made in step 1
The only mystery is :
Why the SIM locks 'alone in the night' without 'strange' operations like flash kernel or some other apps?
hope this can help someone.
have a nice day.
