[Completed] SONY SBH-80 repair - XDA Assist

Hi everyone. I'm not sure If I posted this question in the right place. If not please let me know.
So I'm trying to fix a SONY SBH-80 Bluetooth headset. It is not charging and It wont start on. My guess is that the battery is dead. I researched to find any datasheet of it and/or which type of battery it uses, but I could not find . All I got is its manual and it mentions nothing of such problem or how to replace the battery.
Could anybody help?
Also If you experienced something like this before, could you please share it?
Thanks

I'm sorry, but XDA is for Android and Windows mobile devices. Your issue doesn't fall into that category.
I would suggest you take it back to where you bought it from, or to get in touch with Sony customer service. If it is an old pair of headphones (battery probably fried as you say), maybe it's time to look into investing in a new pair.

No backligth in SPV-M1000 - pls help

Hello,
I just became a owner of a SPV-M1000 - a sad owner :?
This device just dont want to turn on the backligth. I have been thou settings, manual, tried severel profiles ect. Still without resault. I could really use help on this one
I have not yet d/l any updates atall or patches yet and I really doubt that the backligth in this device is defect.
Also - I dont quite know wich model the "Orange SPV-M1000" is, but its is very identically with the third illustration from the rigth on this forum front page.
Best regards & Thank you,
Skipper
you can toggle the backlight by holding down the on off button for awhile
that is unless it's broken
I just learned a new future there - yes, but it did not solve my problem. I have now been in touch with a repairs shop and the technichian had a very hard time to belive that the display backligth was malfunctioning and that it must be a user error. I dont belive that..
A new display is pretty expensive and before I buy this i´d kinda hoped that someone else had a more experience know-how in this area before I purchases this.
Btw - if it comes to buy a new display do anyone know where on the net this can be done. I was thinking change it myselves.
have you tried hardreseting it just to in case ?
if the backlight dont come on when it gets to the calibrate screen and such i would say it's defect
and if it's under warrenty first ½ year the orange guy have to prove that you broke it or give you a new one
I just bougt a used display from a companig that had the same model that had a damaged chassic - pretty cheap .. And it works, perfect.
Now I have to install all the latest software and drivers for both the device and computer. I will try look around the net for this but if you maby would be kind and guide me, would be great.
Thanks

Kindly help me friends. This is really very difficult to bear

Annoying sound when kaiser is awake..Kindly suggest*urgent*
Hi guyz
I just bought a TyTn II device. I don't know whats gone wrong with it that it is giving me annoying sound when its awake but surprisingly when i turn off the screen the sound goes off. its very annoying just like some bee is there behind..
I wonder if i using some wrong radio 1.65.24.36 with PDACORNER v16ultimate, Hard SPL 3.29[as per the recommendation of cook]. I tried to change the radio but to no avail. it seems its more than that.
i dont know if there is some hardware problem or what. but its really making my experience painful. Kindly suggest your remedies.
poor I tried to port hard spl 3.56 but to no avail.
I wish if someone else can help me out. This is really getting very difficult for me to listen to calls with this buzz sound in the back. Kindly help me someone. I had a word with some technician & he said its a problem of moisture & I need to keep it in direct sunlight for an hour. I am not sure if that is going to work tomorrow morning but I would definitely like to see some views about this problem.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a matter from this thread
Kindly suggest me the remedies as I should know if I need to do anything other than what I have already done.
If it is moisture another suggestion would be to put it in a jar of uncooked dry rice overnight or for longer if at all posssible. This should draw out any moisture.
thanks deedee for your kind concern but I am not sure if it is really a moisture thing. Any more technical advice if some mechanic friend is there? It would be great if someone has already faced this problem & rectify it in the past.
First of all, can you be any more specific about what section of the phone the buzzing is coming from? For instance, does it sound like it is coming from the speaker? The battery area? If you can, try narrow it down to a specific area of the phone.
thanks jadel. it appears the noise is coming from the earphone side. I can hear it only when I try to attend some call. I wonder if its because of some earphone damage or what? to be specific it is in the earphone side [in upper part of phone]
It sounds like it could be some hardware damage related to the earphone. You might let people know what sort of software you are running on your phone as well. It could be a third party application is causing it. The suggestions from others about changing the brightness of your backlight, and also about changing your sound level, is a good one. It could easily be feedback caused by a wiring issue. Hard to say. I would certainly get it looked at by a tech, or even ask the local phone store if they have seen similar.
I am using no third party softwares & I am getting this noise even at the time of booting so it seems to me a problem of hardware. I am running v15 pdacorner rom with radio 1.65.24.36, with 3.56 hard spl. I changed the spl to see if it can be rectified by that but to no avail.
It seems I need to go to some service center for the hardware as I can only manage software myself.
Thanks allover jadel for your concern..
I was probably looking for someone who already faced this problem or himself a technician. it can be described as humming slowly turning in to sharp noise.
Hope someone still comes out with his solution..

"A wireless radio must be attached..." -> a battery problem?

I am pretty sure that many people who are reading this topic have met the situation when the message:
"A wireless radio must be attached to use this phone" pop-up on PDA screen.
My question is: This situation could be battery related? We do not speak here about chip damaged, ROM update, SIM broken and so on...
Does anyone solved this problem by replacing battery?
If so, please post the phone name and if this happened even if it is charging or not!
Believe me that I tried all the solutions found on Internet (ROM update, tweak WM....). The only thing I didn't do was to reflash radio part because I did not find the appropiate file.
When the GSM died, also the vibrator stops to work. That's why I'm thinking to battery problem...
Also this kind of problem appears on many type of devices and on some forums was mentioned that may be a battery problem but no one confirmed it!
On the other hand my wife's LG has a very strange behaviour (were blocking, sudden reset). I send it to service LG and it cames back with diagnosis: It can't be repaired.
Lucky me that I found a very smart guy who did some tests on it and he replace the battery and nothing else and the phone works perfect from then...
That is why I'm telling you that battery could be a source of very unexpected problems and strange behaviours of phones.

I have heard of people with radio issues replacing the battery & fixing the device. Why not pick up a replacement battery and try? It won't be expensive
I already ordered online an original one but I have to wait because there is no stock available yet (on ebay I'm afraid to buy a new one because of fake batteries).

Is it possible to change the microphone?

As title says. I have a problem with my HD, that the mic falls out now and then.
Sometimes just for a few secs, but also sometimes for longer periods which make it really hard to have normal conversations.
I've searched for a replacement mic on eBay, but can't find anything. Is the mic part of a "module" that need to be changed altogether?
Really appreciate any help on this matter.
Best regards
Kristian
Hi
I believe it is, but haven't had the courage to do it myself yet. I bought a replacement receiver here http://www.focalprice.com/MI492X/Receiver_for_HTC_Desire_HD_9191_Phones.html but after watching the disassembly video I got scared off! See this other thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044106&page=3
Let me know if you have any success.

[Completed] Flight mode problem

I know this is an android forum but i would just like to know if anyone could assist me with this flight mode issue as I have searched everywhere and cannot find a solution.
I have a Nokia Lumia 830 that keeps going to flight mode, If you try put flight mode off it just keeps flashing between flightmode and mobile and it wont get a signal. The phone is fully functional aside from this, on wifi aside from phone calls the phone is fine with internet etc.
I have tried the nokia recovery tool, I have loaded older software, I have tried the latest software and I have tried loading the windows 10 developers software with the windows insider app all doing exactly the same thing just going to flightmode. I took the phone to a nokia repair centre and was told that the flight mode is part of the LCD and the whole screen would have to be replaced as the phone has water damage. I dont remember getting water damage but I wasnt gona dispute this as I was really drunk one night so theres a good possibility that this is true. I however dont buy that because a month after I bought the phone I had the same problem and I sent it in under warranty and they fixed the problem by replacing half of the phone speakers, cover, LCD and I dont know what else. I stay in south africa and vodacom only have one repair centre for the entire country so I presume they just replace parts till they find the problem and charge whatever they want.
I am no phone expert but I dont see how flightmode can be part of the hardware, surely its just software that disables specific mobile functions... anyway I would just like to know if there is anyway that I could disable the flightmode function in the manufacturers settings or load completely different software like android. Its just such a waste of a decent phone, when its working, and I just cant justify spending half the phones value on a new LCD.
Any help would be much appreciated.
