LG Nexus 4 has ended at 5.1
How does Nexus 5 will end?

Marshmallow should be the last update (official support but we have custom roms )

"Android M"? What? Lol.
Yes, we should be getting 6.X/6.0.X, but Android N (if that's what you meant), is probably out of the question officially.

[Q] Android 4.3 JB for Nexus 5 request

Maybe the stangest request in xda´s time
As I need an app only compatible with 4.3 and nothing newer to run on my rooted Nexus 5, I desperately need JB for my Nexus. Does this exist or do I need a tech friend (or someone in here to bake a rom for me. Is this even possible?
Kind regards
Some q&a
Q) Is it technically possible?
A) Pretty much anything is technically possible
Q) On a scale of 1-100, how difficult is it?
A) 99.9999
Q) Will anyone ever release JB for N5?
A) Nope
Q) Not even if I ask nicely?
A) Nope
Q) Why not? Why is it so difficult?
A) The N5 was not released with JB. There is no JB Source code compatible with the N5. There are no devices with the same hardware as the N5 on JB. All the drivers and kernel would need to be backported. This is an extremely difficult, if not impossible task. No one will do this.

Have you tried using an Android emulator such as Bluestacks or Andyroid?
What is the app? Maybe someone can suggest an alternative.

LG G2 was released with JB (4.2.2), and that basically is the N5. Not saying that makes things a lot easier.

It doesn't because it doesn't have the same hardware. A few similarities, but not really.

The apps name is CSC Scandihealth HH3 version 8.8.11.7 (works only with Jellybean at this moment)
Looks like something to do with health insurance. Can you just use the mobile site? Or does the app do something special?

Sounds like you need to get on the app developers ass to update his useless JB only drivel
Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried sideloading the app? The reason I ask is because while it may not officially support KK, you may still be able to sideload it. T-Mobile VV for example didn't officially support KK until a few weeks ago (and consequently couldn't be installed through GP), but many people, myself included were still able to sideload it and it worked just fine. If you can't sideload it you'd have better luck pressing the app creator to update his app. No developer is ever going to port an outdated version of Android.

[Q] Nexus 5 Rom for Android 4.3

Hi everyone,
Does Nexus 5 support Android 4.3. I am going to test a software compatibility issue. So is there any problem to flash 4.3 to my Nexus 5 ROM? Thanks.

there isnt anything 4.3 available for the nexus 5, so you cant just flash it. theres no 4.3 source for it, no binaries, no code at all meant for the nexus 5 and 4.3. so, how do you expect to just flash it?

Sorry, I don't quite get you.
Can I download factory images occam 4.3 for Nexus 4 from "developers.google.com/android/nexus/images", and flash it into Nexus 5. I am wandering if it works.

No. Nexus 5 was released with KitKat 4.4. There are no nexus 5 "drivers" that exist that will work with 4.3 because the nexus 5 did not exist then.

I think the written document is regarding the unlocked Note 5. However, T-mobile is pretty quick about their updates. I have hope we'll still get it in December.
Link isn't working for me either but I did see a notification stating the N920T will have a Marshmellow upgrade for sure. As much as I like to run the latest & geatest, the Marshmellow update is one that I will not be jumping on right away until I hear plenty of feedback on it.
my note 5 got marshmallow today somehow

What the hell you talking about? Not implying he was lying. Just wanted to see what it looks like & what the firmware version was so I can search for a download cause OTA is not an option for me. Sheesh

No, not really. It's not T-Mobile launched and it trips Knox. Don't confuse people.

Try a factory reset and if that does not work, downgrade to LP.

Try a hard reset.Keep in mind that mali-t624 is 4 year old gpu+1080p resolution and it shows its age.But still, all games should work well on low-medium.
BTW are you sure you are on emui 4.1?4.0 is the newest version that honor 6 supports.

Wait for custom rom or else we have no choice to buy another phone

Downgrading to Marshmallow?

Hey mates,
Please hold your horses and hear me out!
Until we get a working Xposed, I would prefer to rock marshmallow for a few modules that I like.
Is there an available ROM or stock image that I can use for that purpose? I know I may have to wait for stable TWRP as well.
Planning to install that on a Verizon pixel, although will likely use it on T-Mobile network.
Thanks!

Pixel came with Android N. I *very* much doubt if anyone will invest time to bring to Android M on it

This is a true statement. I've never seen a rom for a phone that pre-dates the OS that the phone was released for.

Fair enough, thanks for your replies. I guess will have to do without xposed for now.
