[Completed] K1 Ideapad Lenovo - Khanning ROMS Lost to Webhole - XDA Assist

I did something stupid. I made an assumption that things were as I remember them... It's been years since installing multiple partitions with different OS on a machine and I've forgotten almost everything I know and times have changed.
I purchased a used K1 with honeycomb and had hoped to install ICS with google play services/store. Simply wanted a device to surf and play a few games.
Installed ICS, flashing it without problem and thinking I would simply install GPS afterwards... that didn't happen.
After some research found that khanning88 had made a ROM ready to go. Thinking the end result was within my grasp, low and behold the ROM is no longer available and I have searched relentlessly for almost a week now, torrent sites, Russian forums, anywhere to try and find the ROM. I'm thinking it may no longer be out there and I am back to square one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564002
I'm not sure where to proceed, if someone would know of a repository where this file might be found or should I start learning how to integrate GPS into my own ROM similar to what Khanning88 had already accomplished.
Thank you,
~ Kip

[Q] Unroot Asus ME127V?

Hey everyone, I apologize in advance for my ignorance here. Mods, I searched for this to the best of my limited ability, and I don't think this exact thing is covered elsewhere (and I can't post in the Developers forums with a new account). If I'm mistaken and this is addressed, or if this is not the right place for this question, I apologize--please move it accordingly.
I have an ASUS ME127V which I rooted and installed Clockworkmod Recovery following the guides here in the Dev forums (this was about a year ago, so things may have changed in the interim).
Recently I've become aware of the SSL issues with Android 4.1.1, so I'd like to restore my tablet to stock and upgrade my Android version, but unfortunately I'm just coming up short every time I try to do this. I've tried the AMPC beta app that's linked to in the dev forum, but haven't managed to get it to work, partly because I'm not certain what other files I need.
Can anybody point me toward a simple step-by-step for unrooting/removing CWM/returning to stock?
Thanks for your help and patience.

[Completed] ROM Manager causing soft brick

Before I continue to the point of this thread, I just wanna say hello, and as this is my first post on XDA, I'm sorry if I miss any important information. If you want to help me, just ask and I'll tell you as quick as possible. Now to the problem.
My Matrix Smartphone D4090(apparently a chinese ripoff off HTC) with Jelly Bean on it, rooted by Kingo, broke down when I used the ROM Manager to change the boot animation. By broke down, I mean it got soft bricked. All I can do is turn it on(which leads me to nowhere), use the chinese recovery or the "No command!" recovery. I tried factory resetting on both ways multiple times, but nothing happened. As I don't have a backup, I'm pretty much f*cked when it comes to the stock ROM. So, can I install an official ROM(CyanogenMod, Paranoid, doesn't matter) meant for HTC on my ripoff? And, if I can, can I get information on which HTC is most similar to my phone? And if I can't, can someone instruct me on how to solve the bootloop?
Phone specs(as much as I remember, it got removed from the shop, so information may lack):
512MB RAM
1GB ROM
1.0 GHz Dual Core
Jelly Bean Android
Camera 2/0.3 MP
Apps installed before the bootloop(again, information may lack because my memory isn't great):
Xposed Framework
MyDogs
ROM Manager(Clockwork&the one with the golden wing on the icon)
Facebook Lite
APUS Booster
Kingo SuperUser
Titanium Backup
Skype
Don't remember anything more before the problem, sorry. I'll edit if I remember more.
So, to summarize the question:
Can I install an official ROM(CyanogenMod, Paranoid, doesn't matter) meant for HTC on my ripoff? And, if I can, can I get information on which HTC is most similar to my phone? And if I can't, can someone instruct me on how to solve the bootloop/soft brick?
Thanks for reading this post if you did, and it'd be VERY appreciated if you could offer useful information on these questions. Again, thanks.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. If your phone has a removable battery, you could try to disconnect that battery for a short while then put it back, as that procedure sometimes helps "reset" a misbehaving device, but there's no promises. There is no forum specifically for the Matrix Smartphone D4090 but you may want to ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. Since your device is not widely used, please be patient and give the experts plenty of time to respond.
Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I'll ask around to get some extra information. I put the battery in and out multiple times when I noticed it won't boot up.

[Completed] Need to 'fix' nextbook p 7

I have been searching, reading, and attempting everything I could find to fix this tablet for night and days. Some root/busybox detectors/verifiers gave me different results. Before this I knew nothing about this world so i'm a real greenhorn here. All I know so far is my device is rooted because of build no. V2.0.1.JRO03C.user.root.20131219. Afterwards some apps tell me I'm rooted and some told me no. I'm afraid something went terribly wrong with the files. I can't unroot, flash a new recovery, install adb, pretty much nothing works. All the apps I've tried told me an unknown bootloader. I just want to either return the tablet to original factory default or take control of the thing. This is the info I gathered from settings>about :
Model NX007HD8G
Android V. 4.1.1
Kernel 3.0.8
Serial no. YF031412173
And the build number above
At the moment I don't know what other info you guys might need so forgive me if I'm not thorough. Please, help me take control of my device.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Although there are some guides that could help you solve your problem, none of them seem to have working links for you to download and use.
Because of this, I would recommend posting in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum. Please note that in order to post, you will need to create a XDA account.
Good Luck! - gsstudios

[Completed] Ematic EGQ223BL

Hi everyone,
I have recently come into an interesting and quite difficult problem to solve. I am not sure if I can solve it, but I figured I would pose the question. The tablet is an Ematic EGQ223BL . Someone gave it to me saying something was wrong with the touch screen. However, after doing some research, it seems that someone has flashed it with the wrong ROM which has resulted in the tablet booting up, but with no support for touch. The tablet is a 5.1.1 Lollipop and the website has no ROM for this device. Nowhere else seems to have it either. I would love to save the tablet because the reviews are 4 stars given it is generic. I am a Techie, so I would like to see it return to it's original glory if at all possible. Does anyone have links to a stock ROM for this device? She said she wanted it to be rooted and it came back to her like this. The ROM it was flashed with has a start screen that simply says "Tablet PC moving Forward" I was able to find a way to get into the recovery, but it does no good when I try to flash it. I use an SD card, I apply the update, and then I get an error. I am thinking because I cannot get into development options. TBH, I don't know what to do at this point. Should I chuck it in the garbage with the rest of the dinosaur tech, or is it redeemable? Thanks in advance!:good:

[Completed] HI. im a newbie. Query for latest rom for s5830i.

Hi, i have been reading regardless. but lost somehow in many links and threads regarding custom rom for s5830i....with the "i".
anyway, its full unit is Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i. i was looking quite sometime in threads and such for a latency in any stable rom for it. i just recently installed a CM version 9.2.2-ics-plus-cooperve.
honestly, it got quite bugs. headset is not detected, USB mounting not detected via PC, the file manager is a bit troublesome if you did not mind renaming such files with their proper file name extensions. got quite a bit of twitching and sudden collapse. i've been in it for like a week, and i got troubled by its performance quite sometime. and i will not details the other, we will only get far in the subject.
anyway, i hope someone or anyone will post a link for a good working rom for s5830i.
i have it installed with CWM 6.0.1.2..
still looking, there are best roms out there but..
well, talking to myself here and hope someone notices.
but anyway. im looking atm at an xperia marshmallow rom for s5830i. hope it works with my ancient device.
just installed a CM11 earlier, CWM posted error for it said the file update was for s5830 without the "i".
well, it pays to read really, but still can't get much of the threads, i get lost easily in reading them
hope someone has a rom with stable. hope anyone can suggest or give link on which to flash via the CWM version i currently have.

Greetings and welcome to assist. We can't recommend roms, certainly for a device we don't own but all the roms in this thread should work with your device
